[Music] all right there you are we got hey guys we got um Chris at the airport I know yeah he had to stay he had to spend there the night he missed his flight I did not Patrick how you doing brother can you I'm good how are you doing I'm doing very good very good I can see you putting on a little weight well you know or is it maybe it's the beard maybe it's the beard no it's it's the age you know I'm trying to stay a little fattier because when you get old you get all wrinkly and if you're a little a little chubbier you actually have nicer skin smart my mom says that too I don't care about the ABS I just care about the skin yeah yeah how old are you now uh 53 are you already 53 yeah sir oh I didn't know you were that old I'm sorry now now all of a sudden I look I look you look good for 50 you look very good for 53 and I I think I think if you shave the beard off you'll probably look 40 yeah but I don't have that androgenic jaw anymore you know I got like little Slim So I keep I keep I keep the beard I like my face before when I was using stuff and was like real nice and squar now I just like you you probably got black genetics too and you just don't know well if you ask my if you ask my butt I probably do it looks like all right Chris are you ready yeah it looked like you still checking in Milos how you doing brother good good I mean it's interesting that Patrick said this under genic uh look you know I said this uh I point out like a J Cutler like klickman I know when you're on and when you're off you know what I mean you you know when you're on you have that little bit under genic you know look that there is visible right yeah yeah you can use but yeah I remember Olympia Jesus Christ this guy is coming up to me and looking me say the eyes he like you know [ __ ] okay and there was there was Patrick like I I didn't really recognize you now I can recognize you you know there there was a couple of instances I I guess once I was in Switzerland in one of the shows and you were backstage and uh uh you know I was there I didn't even say hello because uh I I didn't recognize you I didn't see you and then you know few hours later somebody told me you know did you say hi to Patrick I said Patrick who Patrick T I said no so I don't know if you remember that was like maybe 2010 11 2010 yeah something like that yeah but I I you know first I say hello to everybody uh to the to the the uh Tree on the street you know so we never really talk about it if if you took this as offens I didn't really recognize you at that time all right I want to I want to say something I want to say something real quick Chris yeah I like your background now and your picture better than when you're home normally yeah oh yeah it looks way better does it when you're at home it it looks now it's clear I can see you you look better because you're in a better light and your background looks cool I like that thanks the compliment wait till you see it on on on Sunday all right all right why don't we get started we got Patrick on one of the top coaches in the world for quite some time I say one of them because there's a few of them that are really top top okay and uh when I say top coach I I mean I'm going into the area where I talk about Hani uh Chris AO Milos Patrick um um who else would I add up the list of top George Farah um um and I'm Neil Hill yes we got about seven eight top guys now I know it's hard to say who's the best because you you you would have to judge them by the best you have to judge them by the titles which is not fair because I believe I believe that if Chris bumpit Hardy chopan or even Derek Lunsford would work with upat or Milos they would they would probably just look the same and be also winning the same shows so it's hard to say I understand that there's different approaches to certain things and the most important thing and this is what I tell athletes when they ask me if I can help them to choose a coach I said a good coach is not someone who tells you what to do a good coach in my eyes is someone that can motivate you to do more than you're supposed to do you know and and and and for you to be able to be calm and Trust the process and just follow instructions now why I wanted to talk to Patrick is simply because I mean there's one thing that I want to bring up right away I had John on last week you'll probably saw the podcast you probably saw the podcast now as a coach p you you uh suggested John to sit out the shows now to I think add some some weight I don't know if he specifically said how much weight he wanted to add for the Olympia which means he still needs to qualify for the Olympia I I I would like to ask you what is I don't know if you can talk about it but what's the reason behind him about telling him not to do the Detroit Pro which is coming up in two weeks and qualify and then having to having the time to the Olympia because from what I understood is he he wants to do the Tampa Pro yes which is first weekend in August yes so what's the thought process behind that well look it's it's it's very simple well first of all um we had a discussion about Detroit obviously and on my first thoughts were like we're hot we're good we're in a row you know let's just keep going until Tampa uh but then I started thinking about everything and talking to John about it and uh you know there's no right or wrong in this type of situation either way could have been very good to do going to Detroit and try to get the win there but things things is we have seen the best John so far now and I want to see a different John next time on stage now we can repeat the type of look we had which I really lik that the Arnold Classic pre judging in Ohio where everything was really where it needed to be uh every show after that I felt like we were 98% um we tried to push a little more condition detail for AR for the Arnold UK but with the travel every and everything it just makes it a little more difficult and I thought it was a really good look but he was still missing a little of that upper body pop and a little more leg density so that look I think the judges have seen judges feedback is you need a little more mass you need a little more fullness and for that we need six to eight weeks of real good work consistent training and then stay in a in a very good body fat position where we can you know come down pretty easily to a show not having to suffer as much as we had to do for you know in order to come in for these shows and I I think that timing for Tampa August September we were thinking about the show in Milan too uh I think is perfect so the reasoning is very simple uh I want judges to see a better John next time on stage A A Change John with three four more pounds on his you know on his frame and we cannot do that for Detroit for Detroit we could try to replicate as good as possible the Arnold look but still then for the Olympia you'd need to see something you know different and I want people to see a top 10 Contender the next time he steps on stage and for that we need more time I get that I get that I was just thinking you know if if he wants to compete in beginning August how he doesn't have that much time to put the size on I mean it is enough but it's not that much but then he still has to qualify he still has to find a show that he can qualify I mean when I look at the lineup in Detroit as of right now John would walk away with that show easy no I I don't think he would walk away you know there's there's some good competitors but again I mean you don't think he beat think he would win you don't think he beat Justin Rodriguez yes he could he could definitely win the show but I don't want to do a mathematical reasoning a a position reasoning I want to do a physique reasoning I want to see John with an improved look on stage whether he qualifies for the olymp or not I know with with two good months of work like he's improving almost daily now he's already up to about 253 254 pounds still in very good body position he's training better now than he was in his off season or even coming in for Arnolds and we will have to do much less work much less output for him to come in shape for that Tampa show which was going to leave more on the tank you know automatically he's going to look different so the reasoning is not about the placing but it's more about the look that's what I care about is just make sure he steps on St and he if he's deserving of a top top 10 spot at the Olympia then I don't care who shows up in Tamp or whatever show I know but in order to get to the Olympia you need to qualify you need to win the show yeah so let's say for example is there a plan B if let's say Andrew Jack or some other people show up in in Tampa it's going to be hard yeah then what then is the Ealy show and the show in England yeah is uh Milos is Reagan Grimes doing any of them shows he is planning to yeah he's planning to do an I I can't really say which show because he doesn't want me to say it but I need to know what is so [ __ ] sick what is this is I'm oh hide they want hide denn it's like Mr Olympia can't tell people what show he's doing hey there's a show there's the six shows in six consecutive weekends M six you know you know me I would do all six why is he not do well he should do Tampa he should stop running to Europe and and and start competing in the in in the country where he lives and and see you you know to to compare himself with the best well you won Hungary right yeah but that was that was a tour that was different all three of you but you get it wrong now because I didn't go to Hungary because I needed to qualify for that was a tour that was you wanted to hide yeah you wanted to high you didn't think I'd make and listen to rub it in and yeah yeah and we all went to the shows knowing these guys are there I wanted to get next to these guys yeah I ain't trying to go I didn't try to go to Europe to be somewhat lesser competition I don't am I am I mistaken Patrick did you do the Hungary Pro too yes I was there Dennis yeah so all three of you guys were on the stage remember he told he told me that last time I remember now yeah he yeah let's talk listen let's talk about the Detroit Pro real quick cuz I got some information here I mean Ford put this event on and I think he's doing this because he wants to change he helped to change the shows you know he up the priz money so now the priz money for the Detroit Pro is for first price $25,000 instead of 10 so it's 10 that's 10 10,000 extra from uh this I think new tech spons I don't know whoever sponsors the body open and then he hostile throws another five so it's 25 win 10,000 second place and so forth and he just can't get some of the guys to commit to the show what's happening man for real there's just two Arnolds people fly all the way to [ __ ] all the way to [ __ ] England to compete and there's a show in Detroit and so far he's got just confirmed Martin Fitzwater confirmed and supposedly good video confirmed which I don't know because he needs some Visa you know and what happened to guys like ake John de ro said he was doing it I don't think he has a a verbal uh confirm no no no I don't think I think AE is going somewhere with his mom or something I'm not sure but there's no he's not he's not confirmed it's sad man sad to see that you know you put this money out for a show you know and then these guys are just well listen how many competitors Arnold UK there was seven competitors right uh Arnold Brazil is also I think seven yeah Patrick what do you think what's the problem nowadays um you know I I I can't really say because way the way I think the way I think is you know everybody tries to do the best they you know for them and I don't think people are just speculating on shows or who shows up at shows um you know you have to you know you've gone through preps and preps are hard and sometimes your body takes a beating you have to take that in consideration you know you have to see how you feel how you financially feel there's there's many things to consider now I I I can definitely see the point but um uh I don't think there's a there's a reason for you know everyone the same everybody has their own personal things going on everybody has their own reasons and thinking and you know some shows are going to be super stacked and some other unfortunately are not going to be Chris what do you think there's some there is uh I like Patrick I I want to ask you this are you are you thinking that John couldn't have just stayed on his diet or stayed on a lower calorie diet came in the show got the got the win and I'm sure he would the one you're changing the subject Chris you just changed the whole subject I know I know I know but I had this you you were talking the whole time I had this I know but want you ask to answer the question first and then you I don't know why I can't put my finger on it with these guys okay I don't know why I I mean I didn't come from that type of cloth I would have been in the shows especially that money I would have been counting that money where I was gonna put it where I was GNA or whatever especially when there's that many people in there it's like and nowadays with all these different shows all these people competing uh Dennis so many people turning pro every year wouldn't you be hungry to see where you land or will you be hungry to see when you can get to the best uh competition in the world of Miss Olympia yeah yeah yeah can I can I jump in here and I want I want to speak English here Dennis the show that you won the Chris was second and the Patrick competed 20 2001 hold on was there was 30 competitors oh really really yeah 30 competitors and uh so here's the example Patrick you were going into the show knowing that it's Dexter and Chris and Dennis and you you had any idea you're going to be top five you know and you you probably didn't but you entered for a challenge for being professional you know you didn't think of expenses and money making and all this [ __ ] right I I'm SI tired of heing these people like oh yeah it doesn't make sense you know Dennis we started not even thinking of prize money first time you get the prize money they was like oh [ __ ] this is a bonus right you have a you have opportunity it's a challenge it's right there so Detroit plus plus so plus it's an Olympia qualification what the [ __ ] are you guys doing this for prize money and all this [ __ ] and hundreds of pro bodybuilders is not entering it blows my mind I I really don't understand I competed at we competed in everything organized oh it's it's a it's a you know working day in the office oh it's let go to Italy it's in Spain let's go there you know and also also I just feel like we just was very hungry to see where we stood and where we can prove ourselves to be and you know it was all these opportunities out there there's no way was letting go like that yeah I don't know I don't know F guys it should be no less 20 guys sure and listen and and it might very well still going to end up being 20 I'm not sure I'm just talking of what I know now and I mean there's a few guys that we don't we didn't hear of before and but those are the three guys that uh um probably stand out now you know and it's I feel a little I feel I feel I feel bad for fart because I know how much a show cost that shit's not cheap especially when you do it the right way and I know for a fact that he's doing this one with the black background you know like in the old days he's putting the black curtains there you know for prejudging and everything so so he's put a lot of time and money in it and huh I was gonna say is there a way to turn John around and get him going into the show Patrick it's probably too late now and and anyways so good the good thing you know I just feel bad for him because it costs money and then you know you you you have he's got an expo you know it's a one-day deal he's got an amateur event thank God cuz you know at least you know some of the amateurs will because the pro event is going to only cost money there's no money to be made in Pro shows unless you do it at the Olympia with with all the Arnold or whatever and uh he has an expo from 9 to5 and uh he has a meet and greet he does meet and greet now with people you know like Samson Hunter is going to be there Sam Seth for Roi Ian Vier is going to be there Mike Van Vic and this Mike isra tail I'm sorry if I'm Messing name up those guys are going to be at the meet and greet It's just sad to see and I hope I hope that after like guys like Tonio Burton I mean you coming back from from Brazil you're in shape from a week before that's the show where you need to jump jump in well but then fad needs to call him and say I'll pay I'm sure I'm sure I'm sure he contacted them and or is contacting I'm sure but hey if expenses a pay then there is zero excuse not to do it yeah I mean I don't think there's an excuse anyways you know if you want to make anio will be ready to go right now huh Antonio should be ready to go right now for that show he's doing Brazil yeah hope it could be still a late entry you know but sometimes it would be sometimes it would be nice for some of these guys to confirm verbally at least early so we can they can use you to promote this show you know what I'm saying to maybe possibly sell some more tickets you know it would help out too you know and you look at did you see the Stacked lineup at the Pittsburgh Pro though huh wait a minute the Stacked line guest posing lineup no tell us everybody I mean we got we got Hunter Labrada Samson da big Ramy Derek Lunsford Nick Walker Andrew Jack Chris bumped is making an appearance and there's some more there are not on the poster so guys if you're in the Pittsburgh area May what day what the exact day sh May 11th May 11th [ __ ] you want to go check out the Pittsburgh Pro because Go on the stage with the pros no but he's not he's not guest posing he's just there doing an appearance so if you're in that area and you want to see the best of the best go at it in Pittsburgh which is like pretty much a pretty pre Olympia that's where you want to be fly in drive in everybody's going but don't forget guys before that go to [ __ ] d Detroit get on that stage man we got to I mean it's it's been going backwards the last couple years when it comes to shows we have more shows now but it's going to be it's it's literally less competitors every year there's a problem there's a problem it's got to get fixed people complain about price money price money's up nobody's showing yeah do you think if you bring the prestige closer to where it's less people turning pro each year you know have a a bigger turn if it was me and it's not me this is just what I'm thinking okay if it was me when you signed the contract for your pro card that year you sign a deal for three shows minimum okay that's it we don't need to give you a you don't we don't need Pros that just would to told a pro card and change their [ __ ] name on Instagram we don't need that [ __ ] if you're a pro you want to compete as a pro you want to get your pro card you you buy your pro card get your pro ass on stage because you're not pro unless get just get more clients huh I feel like they're doing it just to get more clients who still who's doing it competitors are turnning pro to get more clients I know but then this idiot shouldn't be buying Pro cards they shouldn't even cuz for me for me and this is just me you're not pro unless you compete as a pro just because you got second at the Masters and you get a pro card doesn't make you a pro get your pro ass on the pro stage and I'm talking in professional stage you know what I'm saying I don't want to people oh y I don't want people run around calling themselves Pros I like what Pro are you a prostitute or a professional you know what is it BR well P pisses me off man yeah man and and and listen at the end of the day you know it's always the prize money they said now we have you know corporate sponsors that put the money up and put the money into each show around the globe and now what's the excuse I don't need I need to find a way to get there well yeah we always found ways listen listen Dennis to be fair I mean look at I was competing for a $1,000 fifth place uh prize award what is that right I mean and P Patrick you were you were vaba vaba before vaba didn't have a prize money right no no yeah so and then you you came into the IB right and it's like many guys are going to the show not counting on the money but counting as Chris said I want to see where I stand how do I compare with these guys you know it's it's a IBB Pro level [ __ ] I mean it should be a challenge but Patrick when I touch your your your uh subject I do you remember meeting you mid90s and uh with marassi and you were you were competitor I I do remember uh you you did win some uh prestigious show right in a in uh Baba before you turn uh well the world world championships European and World Championships yeah no [ __ ] all right and how many IBB Pro shows did you do four yeah before before before I realized it's probably I wasn't uh good enough to you know my first pro show was with you know Ronnie Coleman Dennis James Jay Cutler all those guys on stage which one was that which one was it San Marino Pro right the weer Marino Pro right after the Olympia you were there too World Pro championships yeah yeah yeah supposedly okay you guys you were there Dennis you were there right uh supposedly Jay was super close to uh Ronnie tristo said that already at that tour that Jake C he realized that Jake Cutler is closing down did you guys see that or no I don't remember no no no that's that that show Ronnie was hands down just above everybody yeah Dennis you were playing back with with Jay from England you know I don't know was it England where we came back and we ate up every sandwich they had on the plane yeah that was England yeah cuz you went it's always this Italy first it's a world Pro Championship right so Patrick so your first pro show is World Pro Championship IB way to go yeah but he can say he can say he stood next to the best that's what you want I don't want to stand next to people that no one knows who they are you know that the funny funny story there I always tell is I was number five and Ronnie was number four and there was like little sters going up into the stage so at one point I was like under standing under the stairs and I had Ronnie's ass right in my face as he was walking out stage and I was looking back I said I don't want to step on stage I was like I was scared shitless I said this is this is crazy I I turn around I turn around and Marcus rule is right behind me right so like that's that's what you call a [ __ ] sandwich do you have a picture of a sandwich from the stage do you have a picture next to Ronnie and Marcus dude I don't even have pictures of that it's so sad yeah yeah there was no there was no phones taking pictures and you know it's oh Jesus Christ cameras hey Patrick Patrick you know what the Highlight was for me at the Olympia last year watching your your reaction did she did she see he I didn't even know he could jump that high I didn't either that was awesome I hope Kylie can find that somewhere to put it in in the podcast because your reaction your whole demeanor the whole time he was on stage was was something different you know so now you've been working with Keon for two years is it two years now yeah two and a half years almost so the first year it didn't quite go as planned but you probably realized I'm on to something here I'm about to figure this guy out now last year he was the best he's ever been and I have a feeling that we will see a different Keon this year most definitely most definitely so so so was it hard for you to figure his body out because supposedly I think everybody else had issues well um I I can't say Keon is an easy athlete to figure out not at all he's very he's very sensitive um you know the the the minor changes do a lot of his physique so you have to be very careful with what you do U coming down his body just doesn't want to burn fat very easily he puts on weight very easily but that coming down is is extremely difficult so it's always a balance act between trying to get lean but maintaining as much muscularity as possible even with with with you know the drugs everything you just can't overdo things with his physique you have to be just as much as necessary and that's where if he stays in that zone he just gets better yeah but I feel like where where Keon really has made a difference is how serious he's about his approach um you know before before he didn't really believe in his physique because you know he's been 14th at the Olympia he he was was n able to participate the year before so you know doubts start to come in an athletes mind it's like you know am I really as good as I'm supposed to be or can I be that good and I think step by step you know we took it progressively and I told Keon when we started I said this is not going to be a one- show project you're gonna have to grow into every grow into the prep grow into being a professional grow into you know learning what things to look for during a prep how to feel and and every since we started things have just gone better and better now at the off season you know first time we really approach an offseason where he is just as focused as in a pre-contest where we really pay attention to his body fat levels you know making sure he doesn't go over you know what is needed Keon could be 250 260 off season no problem but we're keeping him in a place where we know he's putting on muscle and nothing extra you know those things for an athlete are not easy but he understands them now knows what he needs to do to make a difference and that's you know being aware of who you need to be in order to be the best that's the the most difficult job an athlete has to do and go through that that's what that's what I meant that's what I meant when I said you know a coach is you know has to be able to motivate an athlete I mean to win the Olympia helps with the motivation too because you know don't nobody want to win and then lose the title so I think he's doing everything and probably a little bit more than you tell him to do and I hear hear from a couple of people that you are very strict with your approach in offseason is that correct well um I hear that all the time too it's like yes and and no I mean what what does strict mean I don't know I don't know I just I just you know it's look look at the end of the day what I tell guys especially professional athletes who want to go on an Olympia stage is you you need to be a professional 365 days a year you can't be a professional with just the 60 weeks before a show you need to start approaching and and treating your body in the offseason just like you are in the prec contest obviously you know there's differences you're not as you know dialed in you're not in a caloric deficit but you know treat your body with respect 365 days a year and and train like a pro and behave like a pro throughout the whole year strict that means you have a put your plan and the the Clos closer you stay to that the more understanding of your body you will get the more disciplined you are the more you're going to build off of that you know you if you're able to do three four months of offseason without wanting to go and and have cheat meals or or skip a training that builds your character that builds your mind just become stronger you know you are become proud of what you actually do and that carries into a pre contest a bodybuilding career is very short you know how how many years can you be at on top of your game make money and be you know successful professional 10 years some guys 15 years that's a very short period of time over your lifespan and I tell guys take advantage of that you know you're already putting your body through a lot of stuff that is not good for you make sure that every day counts every day is 100% And that goes with nutrition that goes with training that goes with what you do with the drugs become a professional and be one all the time every day every meal and that's where you're going to make a difference Chris I was I going to question uhh back with John I mean did you feel you had the fullness in the size leading into the uh contest for him and did his body go beyond where you wanted it to or do you like what makes you think you can build now until you know and before the Olympia do a show and then have the look that you're looking for well first of all because after these 16 20 weeks of diet your body is much more receptive you know if you're very methodical about your approach and you do train seriously eat seriously that that two three months after a competition you can really you know compensate and that's where your body is very anabolic and you can put on more size than sometimes in offseason you see it after two three months post a competition you've been eating a lot of food your body desensitizes and you're not as receptive anymore so I think we can put on those three four pounds he needs that fullness and like I was telling James it's also a matter of staying in a good condition good body fat for him which is going to make the prep for our next show much easier we don't have to do as much cardio we don't have to cut the calories as much which is going to leave more meat on your bones so throughout this process he's definitely I can tell you right now he's definitely going to be at least three to five pounds heavier you know on that show in Tampa he's going to be Fuller and it's going to make a prep much easier and the look is going to be different sounds sounds very very huh that you guys seen uh Keon posing yeah yeah I saw that yeah Milos Milos you post everything so we see it of course of course Milos don't post no original content Milos steals from everybody it's my my camera what do you mean oh is it your footage my footage you do steal him he does he does steal right he does steal wait wait till wait till they knock down his door for some infringement repost I repost interesting things you know for but listen Keon is impressive and Ste Steve was impressed you know so anyway let's talk about something else yeah let's just about Keon is Keon gonna do the open open uh uh class next year look um I think that door is open uh that's definitely something we are thinking about uh it all depends how well he's going to look on a muscular side when he steps you know on the Olympia uh you know just going to the open to be good and you know to be in that first call out and to mix it up doesn't make a sense for a 212 Olympia so I want to see Keon what he looks like with you know a couple more pounds this this Olympia a little more polish because you guys you have to think Kon can still improve on his muscle separation his muscle maturity his body fat levels were extremely low that was good but you can see he's still you know his his look is still young is still not mature and that's going to come with time it's it's actually coming this offseason you can already see he looks much denser and mature compared to last uh offseason so that's a process and once we see that he has carries enough size and it truly has that condition where we can make a difference with you know if it's next year and if it's two years I don't know but it all really depends you have to stay objective about how much did he weigh at Olympia uh 200 pounds prejudging 199 for finals so he has that much he can gain another 11 pounds 12 pounds yeah that's what I'm that's what I'm saying you know and he looks he looks just as big as anybody on that stage bigger so there yeah there there's room you know he has a he has a very big 212 frame and has the best lines in the 212 and probably the best lines in bodybuilding overall so a little more size in the right places and he can do very well but again it's like I was saying he needs time it's not something you want to rush it's not something you want to get excited about now and say oh let's do it let's you know push everything let's get big let's you know he needs to grow into that physically and mentally let him repeat his title let him show an improved physique let him you know be aware that [ __ ] the the open classes becomes more realistic well D dere Derek showed it to everybody that it is realistic and I think Keon is even a bigger guy or was absolutely I don't think Derek was as big as Keon when he was in the 212 even though he was closer to the to the Limit but Keon just looks he creates more of an illusion because he has that great shape also but when he comes to it's for me it's almost he could go a similar path to to to Derek I don't see why not he has the Craig wats I think Tian quatz uh are more balanced to his upper body I well I don't know about Derek's now because he' probably put on some more size in his squats now but I think this could be the same picture same picture when he turns around it's the same thing crazy yeah but think about it Dereck was guest posing like 250 you know before two 212 uh division championship right and he had a hard time squeaking into the division but was he really 260 I mean you know 24 but yeah but listen you know bodybuilders man come on now he looked let me let me put it this way he looked like it but was he really too six0 he's like Hardy saying he's too six0 258 you know maybe he was 240 I'll give him 240 240 I agree with you that Keon look way bigger than 199 Jesus Christ but you remember we had him on and he said it he's under 200 I don't remember yeah I remember that all all I all I can say is a 210 pound Keon with slightly better condition that we saw at the Olympia last year can be in the top three open Mr Olympia but we're not there yet we still need to get there so when he if you say he could be top three let's let's let's imagine Keon at 210 who is who does he kick out at the top three um I don't know who kicks out but he can stand next to Derek he can stand next to hottie shapewise he can stand next to Samson shape wise and with with with the glutes and the hamstrings that he had last year a little deeper and that little more crispiness through his back that's going to be a crazy looking I I get it so he kicks out Samson well depends how Samson shows up you know yeah well we already know what Samson looks like um is Samson somebody that would interest you who who who wouldn't be interested in SS did you guys connect did you guys connect no no not at all no I wonder who I wonder who he choosing to to help him to get ready for shows what would you change what would that's a great question for you now you see Samson you see what his problemss is or you see what his what his what his strength are and what his weaknesses are if Samson would come to you today and say Pat I want to I want to give it a try with you what would you change or what would you do to change his physique condition wise to the point where he can be in that kind of shape that he needs to be in you you were asking me an impossible question no come on now come on me no it's no it's truly impossible because you you I have no idea idea what has been done I don't know and probably well if you have a question we got we got the coach X coach right here that's that's what I'm saying I I probably you know if I really wanted to help Samson the first thing I'll probably do is call millas and say okay millas do give me one hour of your time please and if you would be so kind we have we have another 50 minutes guys so me and Chris we gonna sit back and watch n but there is no magic no magic wand trick or you know there's so many things the psychological fact how you know Milos knows this best better than anybody how how well is he is is he coachable how well can you get to him how well you know can you get certain things done th those are all speculations it's impossible to say m is is is a [ __ ] awesome coach okay so now let me ask you this Pat let me ask you this though so what if you don't know who this coach was before and you have no connection to his coach what do you do with a guy like Samson well how do you start um I'm I'm speaking hypothetically okay yes the the first thing I'm I'm going to look for is that his offseason weight doesn't go up as much anymore I keep him much lower with the weight I saw weights way over 300 pounds absolutely not necessary keeping really on the line don't go so far away with those tissues don't you know don't stretch that skin so much make sure you stay much closer to what you need to be in order for you when you start coming down you have much you have room to play you know sometimes people don't understand when you go so full and offseason when you when you have like 40 50 pounds difference from stage weight your skin is a tissue you stretch that you glutes your lower back everything is stretched and then you pretend that at 12 14 maybe 16 weeks everything sucks down again and stays you know vacuumed on your muscle some people have elastic skin it doesn't happen for example Kon is like that you know you can see him be lean but all of a sudden his skin looks like when he was 230 pounds and he looks much softer than what he actually shows up on stage so there the midsection why go so heavy why put so much food in your system still you know once you reached a certain level of muscularity those are all things that I would I would consider for you to you know do everything necessary as far away as possible from the show to when you get actually into contest prep if you don't have to kill yourself you don't have to do hours of cardio you don't have to you know take bunch of thyroid hormones or whatever you need to do to get in shape make sure you put yourself in a position where all those things are not necessary and you're actually playing offense don't play defense I see a lot of guys coming into contest prep and they start to they have to do certain things and a contest prep functions well when you can do 13 when you make the cause you know this is what I want my body to do this is what want my body to go and you know exactly where you start and how everything is going to evolve if you start a prep maybe you ate only three four meals you eat junk you're heavy you're you know train Without Really consistency then you start a prep and say oh now let's get in shape we're not all Kevin Leon you know we don't have all those type of genetics so put yourself in a position where you don't have to react to what's happening but you can act upon a prep and that's where you know things really start clicking yeah makes sense makes a lot sense how good was hard chopan in in Columbus OH crazy man I I I I swear I watched that live stream okay about three four times again and again and again you know I even talked to John about it it's like look look how he aside from his crazy condition which was something else I mean aside from that just the way he stood on stage the way he hit the poses his demeanor his stage presence there was not one time anything was out of place or not not planned the guy is a machine I'm a fan I'm I'm I mean I'm a last time the last time he was on the stage he got a bad taste in his mouth so I'm sure yeah he was to make us make a statement and uh I think that's what he did hey man I got gotta I gotta run to my plane brother what time is you uh I know I cut keep the let us see minutes huh in 54 minutes 54 minutes you want to go on a plane now no I gotta check a I gotta take a train over to the other side go go go man okay go ahead man go ahead go ahead all right man don't be coming back for no half a podcast no more who changed the DAT me last second we all right my bad my bad all right get home safe yeah I mean yeah what do you think think Pat what do you think when you see a guy like like like Han Hadi in Columbus not so much in England but Columbus I mean I I said this immediately after after the show I said hardi like this would have be Mr Olympia still now well how hard how hard will it be for Derek though to keep Hardy away when he if he if it comes in the way he did in Columbus or maybe even a little bit better if it's even possible well you know again we're speculating because it's two different stages two different Lightnings it's it's hard to say yeah but we know their bod so we know their bodies we know their strength we know their weaknesses in in instinctively you know from my gut when I saw it I said I don't think Derek's strong double bicep from the back is going to be enough to take over that type of heart that's my like gut feeling yeah but again you know you have to see him on stage I just think from the front from the side on a muscular it level balance upper lower body yeah that's a hard hard athlete to beat for anybody yeah and I think we have to give Derek I mean the benefit because he took this time to put on the size and probably work on the maturity that he didn't have last year so I expect a better Derek coming to the Olympia this year you know Derek has that you know backed up a bicep which is in my opinion one of the best of all time that just that condition flows detail is crazy he just lacks that hardness through his upper body shoulder chest arms which is exactly the strong point hardi has so it's like Derek wins from the back and hardi wins everything from the front from the side I still have hardi even though hardi is not like the craziest side shots it's still in my opinion better than than Derek so it's going to be a fun battle to watch I mean too much detail too much detail but yeah Tyler Manion gave side shots to Derek in his analysis after the Olympia and look Derek only impressed all of us for years now I mean really when he won Olympia 20 you know 21 the the 212 then Pittsburgh uh gas posing it was freaky 2022 he shocked everybody on the stage and it was super close right he could go either way I mean let's give him a credit I agree with you Patrick you can't compare uh Hadi from this lights with a Hadi on those lights because we've seen hadti on those lights next to Derek with the same lights and Derek kind of squeaked in okay is this deservingly or no God knows you know what you talk about back down biceps I think that Derek has a biggest uh V taper differential from the back with the craziest glutes but shoulders and arms you know cannot compare to let's say Ronnie Coleman be biceps you know what I mean stuff like that uh hardi improve his Bal biceps big time hardi has a good lot spread from the back to the point it can be uh you know debatable side shots now okay Derek has a better lower body from the side when when you look better a hamstring drop yeah better a hamstring all that stuff more detail uh you know I do think that he is Fuller one thing about hardi that you can see he has a super stred chest but kind of flish it is visible sometimes he's master of presentation and angles that he takes but there are moments that you can scan from the side and you see it's a little bit flish well his shoulder overpowers his chest on that side shot you know his shoulder is so wide you know rear def front Del that makes his chest look sometimes a little yeah narrow flat it's not a Twan show for sure Samson is there you know so close Andrew Jack is I don't think it's that close Milos I'm honest I'm going to be honest with you I thought it was closer until I saw them next to each other in Columbus it's not close it's not close not yet and we're all no nobody think yeah but huh nobody talks about big Ramy anymore well I mean this is what happens when people just stay away for a while I mean people will stop talking about you it's normal that's just the way it is and that's why I always I always tell people I said listen when you're not around for a year a year and a half people talk about someone else because we need something to talk about you know of course he's still he's still alive he's still alive and kicking you know he's he's not dead yet so are you working with Ramy now I'm not saying anything I'm just saying no I'm just saying I'm just saying I agree with you whether you work with him or yeah whether you work with him or not I mean Ramy is always a threat if Ramy can come at his best he can come in and I think I think Ramy has a I'mma say this I think Ramy has a better shot than Samson if he can come back if his arms is back if his triceps is back if his back is somewhat back yes I think that cuz he has a bigger wow factor that's just my op that's just my opinion a good a good Ramy is like a a bigger version of of HTI you know obviously not that the same details but we're it's like muscularity wise and the way you know he takes up space on stage there's no other athlete like him right and you know I still you know I I feel if if if H if Ramy gets hungry if Ramy is focused you know him well denn yeah he needs to he needs to stay focused not get focused he needs to stay focused and if he can do that if he has someone in his corner and if everything is working and if he healed if he's healed he's dangerous we already know he's dangerous I mean if you just look at him this just just let's go back a year look at him at the Arnold last year yeah I like it that's a dangerous Ramy I mean he was 300 and something pounds on stage he could be a little bit tighter you know but he was good so if you bring that back with the back that he used to have I don't know if it's possible I said I don't know like I have a feeling that Patrick is working with him I'm just saying this out loud no I'm I I'm not saying that okay I'm I know you're not saying that but you don't have to say it you don't no no no no no no listen I'm just I just have a feeling but it doesn't matter because there's several guys that he hasn't worked with in the past that is you know it's worth to give it a try like like I said he is a major threat if he can if his back is healed and his triceps is healed he has everything he has everything and and at the end of the day if he can come in super conditioned and not worry about the weight too much and stays focused and believes that he can win it again I I think he's a major threat I think he's a big he's he's a bigger threat than Samson that's just my opinion and you know I think also now Ramy has there's pressure there's always pressure there when you're Big R no matter what yeah there's always expectations but you know when people start counting you out or people don't start counting so much on you or they don't actually think they're going to see so much on you when you step on stage and you are ready there's much more you know the perception you have of this athlete is much more when you have you know that idea of Ramy when he won his first olymp you know that crazy hard look on stage and then every time you step on stage people are looking for that you know you have you you create a picture in your mind of how you need to be and even though you might be super good but you don't reflect that then all of a sudden oh everything is bad even though maybe you're super good now I think the image people have in you know of Ramy is like yeah he's not that good anymore so when you actually step on stage and you bring the goods H you know the perception is going to be different you're going to get rewarded for it I get it you still you still want to you still want to you know you still want to be out there I mean you still you still represent a huge the biggest organization in the world when it comes to bodybuilding you want to be out there so I think it's great for him to go to Pittsburgh hopefully he shows up knock on wood he shows up in Pittsburgh CU he needs that cuz he St next to these guys and that's where we get a nice little preview I think it's going to say a lot and then who knows then we might have something to talk about all the way till October yeah listen he took advice from Steve wurger right Steve told him to take a time off after the honor classic I think we were all you know kind of trying to encourage him to do the Olympia because he looked so good but Steve said you know you need some time take it take it off he took it off and now hopefully he comes back to Pittsburgh he ify for Olympia for for life so you can answer anytime okay well yeah Patrick yeah I I hope you're working with him and that he's coming back with the Vengeance yeah he's still let's let's not put any rumors out there I don't want to be on every every YouTube Outlet there no it's I'm not confirming anything not confirming means not confirming is not denying so you were quick you were quick to deny Samson no no you ask me if let's not say no more we don't even talk about don't worry about it I'm I'm just a I'm just a bodybuilding fan and even though you know I I like that old school classic look it's it's just like my favorite you know but I I still like muscle and as a fan big Ramy when he steps on stage I get excited you know I I get Goose I get goosebumps so yeah I just want to see him back on stage where he deserves I want to see him back on stage but I want to see him at his best I don't want to see a Ramy that H you know what I mean should have stayed home I don't think Ramy is is stupid and he if he doesn't look like he's supposed to look he's not gonna do it I don't think so I want to see him at his best if he comes back at his best he can do something that only Jay did until now that's whenn the title back is you like the muscle how do you like uh Nick Walker's chances to win the Olympia well I'm not I'm not the biggest fan of of of his physique but the guy comes in as muscular as they come he comes in in great condition every time he has those crazy back shots with those hamstring that look carved out of stone and you know he can he he can expose a lot of people he has that big midsection from the front which he compensates with very deep nice abs so he makes up for that so uh I don't think we can rule out Nick Walker you know on a good day those other guys are maybe a little off or they display some type of not 100% Nick Walker is is a candidate Nick Walker can can beat everybody absolutely yeah how about Ander Jack [Music] now I'm a fan of that guy's physique I I love that physique you know it's it's beautiful I just I I feel like it's always kind of a you you don't never know what kind of Andrew Jack you get in terms of condition especially from the back so if he if he's able to get his glutes h to a very good spot and maintain a certain type of muscularity without losing that he's another guy who can be very dangerous for the top three sometimes I feel like especially in that front double bicep which either you hate or you like or you love because it's very weird looking but sometimes I feel like with those Longs arms the arms looked a little under siiz compared to the legs and and midsection and his front lat spread is not like the prettiest so you know his structure is is is different it's like nobody else on stage he's very different looking than anybody else so it's it's it's hard to kind of put him next to somebody because he doesn't fit in any type of mold it's kind of Nick Walker too Nick Walker has his you know type of physique and and Andre has totally different type of physique so a lot of times it comes down to what the judges actually like more it's not even you know being in shape and being perfect just like how do you look next to the other guys and how well do the judges perceive your your look but personally I'm I'm a big fan because he's you know especially that midsection who doesn't love those down carved ABS in in the front double bicep it's crazy it's crazy interesting say so you you either love or you hate his fromont of biceps he has very characteristic in this uh posing seminar somebody asks miger how about the front of biceps how you should hit it and then he point out that Victor Martinez doing it twisted right but it looks great on him and they encourage to do it I know that tanan didn't particularly like uh Andrew Jack's Twisted front bicep uh you know he he kind of if you compare the positions you kind of want to have it the same but you said that his arms were kind of uh smallish comparing to the rest of the body in that pose uh when you look when you look at his midsection and then just how the lats flare into his like there's there's a big gap between the lats and then the arm you know when you have that perfect front double it's like your tricep almost your lats are a continuous of your of your triceps you know like look at when Derek Lunsford does it you know it's like everything is like flows like a V from the back into his arms and I feel like with with uh with um uh what's his name um um Andrew Andrew it's like there's like the ls and then there's the arms it's like it's I just miss a little flow in there you know it's it's but again people do you do you think it's the lack of triceps or the lack of lats well probably it just so long look at how actually is so in in in that pose right there I feel like even though he has big arms just how WI he is and and how he midsection and lats flow into each other it makes the arms I feel like sometimes that they take somebody else's arms and put it on his body in that front Poe you know it's like it doesn't I don't know it doesn't match like a perfect flow front double like look at Hunter Hunter lbr when he does his front you know front double bicep everything is like flows in there even H now H is crazy how that lad just goes into his arms and with with Andrew I just feel like there's like a like a hole in between the lats and and the arms that's the only thing that distracts me a little bit and again his front lat spread is he has a hard time feeling and hitting his front lat spread correctly I feel where he is so wide but then when he does the front lat I miss that flow again and his arms look a little strange in that front last sprad again we're talking winning an Olympia okay I'm not talking it's good it's [ __ ] crazy but when you when you stand next to guys who are almost perfect in those poses it's it exposes Patrick who do you see as a potential danger that nobody's talking about at at Olympia this year oh that's a good question I I who a potential like winner or top you know there going to be top Contender top six I mean when I say top six listen anybody in top six can be number one and number six you know it's that close look on the top of my head one of my favorite physiques is rapael brendow that guy if if he is a little crispier with the same muscularity and fullness that he displayed in in Ohio those that's hard to beat because he has no flaws he looks really good from the side now his back double improved a lot I think he can still tweak his posing a little bit on that back double it's still not perfect but that guy is just perfect yeah but you think that's enough size you know because uh when we talk Dennis and I with a Tyler he praised uh brandow and said no weak mandator is everything is there but still undersized still so it looks like and Neil Hill wants the another year year and a half to put some size to to really be competitive but I agree with you you know Wonderful physique and how much do you really need to wait I mean he's like what 260 is and uh you know 51 you know that should that should be more than enough no I think I think yes he can he can definitely carry a little more size because he's so tall he's like six feet tall but you know at the end of the day is it enough probably not but you know there's there's more to a every every show has its story you know the way you come out the way you present yourself the way you are able to impress the judges in the first few poses the way they perceive you he for me he's a definitely top six candidate so you like you're Classic but you still like muscle what do you think of exilla well it's it's a it's a showstopper it's like it's it's crazy to look at um it's a physique I I don't I don't see him in the top probably 10 at Olympia simply because that structure has too many flaws it's just there's too much can he qualify he definitely can win shows most definitely but I just don't see him you know if you take the top six eight nine guys they are structurally so much Superior and you can be as big as you want it's just he's impressive and honestly I didn't see him I I didn't see him in person I I did I I I did so that's why I I I felt the same as you just what you just said that's how I felt when I saw him off pictures and mil look the same but when he stood next to these guys I would never believe before I saw them compar it that he could stand next to Samson in the aen thigh shot because of his Blacky waist and I think that he beat him in in the abire so when he stands next to these guys he's just so overwhelming in some shots or some body parts that it just sometimes you forget to pay attention to the weak body parts you know it just happen so he looks better when he stands next to guys than when he's by himself does that make sense at all you you understand what I'm trying to say so he is more impressive and when I saw him in person I saw him in Dubai at the Dubai muscle show which was like what week two weeks after the show bro I've seen all of them sizewise I you know you can't shock me the dude has huh yeah yeah I wanted to jump in also and ask Patrick probably most important question I was in the middle of was trying to say something just literally in the middle I was trying to say something and you cut me off man just just hold on to the mute button we might have to mute him too so and and when I saw him in person and I was I was surprised I was surprised how big this guy really is I would never in a million years believe that someone can have these quads and have the matching cavves oh those cavves are those calves should be thighs that's how big they are I mean if if I had to put a tape around there I would say they at least 26 27 inches I'm MOS Dexter was with me Dexter could believe that they're real he had to go touch them unfuckin believable they don't look as big in videos on pictures when you see him standing there from the S that's a that's a good tie I'm telling you bro this maybe I'm maybe I'm an inch off but I guarantee you at least 25 20 25 and a half I'm going by if I'm going by my arms back in the days I had a good 23 his CS are bigger than my arms I mean like yeah but do do do you Dennis do you see him beating you know uh Hunter Labrada Andrew Jack do you think you with that structure no matter how big you are um I don't know I don't know he's too young he's too early I still think that he has to make some improvements he needs to bring his shoulders up and he if he brings his shoulders up he will create more of a of a nicer vshape because right now it because of that big neck and the lagging shoulders I'm saying lagging shoulders even though when you see him his shoulders are big but compared to his arms and to his chest his shoulders laging big time and until he fixes that no once he fixes the shoulders and he gets cuz he you can see when his muscle is still it's fresh this is not abused you can see the lines everywhere if he can get conditioned he reminds me of a Ronnie Coleman condition with the chest all I mean like all all the way up and everything is literally fine details that you don't see on everybody today because most people are shut up to the point where there's so much Scar Tissue you don't see the detail you know you see what I'm saying so if he does everything right which I'm not I don't know if he can do it because he's still young he does he's not used to this and I think you know be seeing already that he's pulling out of shows left and right that there's not everything is not uh uh smooth there in his Camp I'm not sure how and why but uh he's 28 so he's still young he still has time to make the necessary hopefully Improvement M but as of right now absolutely I don't think so so Dennis you comp I'm not comparing him to Ron I don't say that no but but you compare that he has ability to maybe get there because not R his shape I'm talking about his detail yeah so do you think that Patrick you know when you look at Neila and you project if you DED him down and uh you know do what you need to do can he get in that kind of crazy thin skin fibrotic conditioning well I actually was surprised by the condition that I saw on him that's that's absolutely right what J what Dennis says I saw that you know that muscle pop that that crispiness and he was lean especially that D back double bicep he had a lot of detail through that back which is is the hardest thing to do so I can see what Den it says where I have a hard time you know looking forward is the way he is blocky looking you know when you start adding weight or weight to your body you can't just add it to your lats to your arms to your shoulders the body doesn't you know it doesn't work that way you just get bigger and I just feel like as he's gonna get bigger if he is which he needs to especially through those lats and shoulders and everything that waist is going to get bigger too I've never seen anybody you know put on size of lats shoulders arms and and the waist not really coming in at the same time you said Ronnie but Ronnie had like a such a waste and he already had 25 in arms before even you know as a natural so the starting point is different the structure is different yeah but but think about so what what would you do for me it's a no-brainer thick legs okay uh and you don't want to uh build up the waist so you can put him on a bend over row you can put him on a dead lifts but you can do a lot of pull-ups kind of thing and you know pull downs and stretch stretch stretch widen pull over Pop the ls out save the waste you know he obviously leg are way too big what I was saying to Chris when he was praising him how he can go really far he just have to become uh Hadi chopan of presentation how Hadi created Vaper all of a sudden we was saying he's kind of getting blocky and then he shows up on the stage like V taper like MF right like so that's what Nila needs to be uh shoulders out lats out at all times I mean that's practice like you you said nothing had did on stage was not already 2,000 times rehearsed even a even Trophy presentation where look at him when he lifts you know legs are in abs are in everything is goddamn perfect that's what an exala needs I I think he's much bigger threat that maybe people consider if you don't see him top 10 I I mean with this much SI size and that quality he can get if he creates illusion he is Contender I think I was looking for to stand next to Nick Walker but it's not gonna happen I think a big factor is going to be how much actually Food and Drugs does he need to grow you know if if he's somebody who can actually grow on not too much food and not too many drugs I can see that midsection and everything stay if he's somebody needs you know 67,000 calories just to stay full and to get his body through the day then on the long term I see it very difficult for him to actually I have a I have a feeling that he's the opposite I don't know why I don't know why I haven't talk to him about this I don't I don't think Chris will even know but I think he's one of them cuz you know listen he's 28 years old he had no experience he still doesn't have the experience so everything that's there right now I think was just just just just gifted so that's why I believe I believe that it's maybe not as crazy as some people would think when they see him Ramy is the best example Ramy when people see when people see Ramy they thrw everything at him like yeah he's like if I would use like he uses I would be just as big that that's a bunch of [ __ ] you know what I'm saying and and and therefore I I believe that if the the right guy gets a hold of him and has him under his wings from and can teach him from A to Z everything I think he can be a top 10 guy I think he can possibly be a top six guy in the future I'm I'm not sure but uh he will definitely be one of the showstoppers at every any event he goes I don't care if it's an expo doesn't matter people would want to see him I mean like on top of the list I I agree with you I mean I would pay a ticket to watch that that guy pose and absolutely my my my thing is just how well can you place against well structured guys you know they in front that's where it becomes difficult sizewise condition wise I'm 100% you can be there it's just when you talk Olympia when you talk top six you've you've got to be something perfect structural wise because that's the Olympia the Olympia needs to set a standard in what judges want to see all Al all show are judged you know based on most of the time what happens there what direction is is the pro league the judges Steve Tyler what they want they they give a signal at Olympia and if you take somebody like Nilla and you put him in the top three four guys and say okay this we're good with this it's I mean I I love it I watch it you know I paid ATT yeah but it's it's sending the wrong picture what what message are you sending to all the other guys you know we had that with Ronnie where everybody starting going crazy you know you you you lived that here I was like okay what do I need to do to look like that yeah it's like I I I don't know it's true true the the question was I was gonna ask Dennis when I interrupted you sorry I thought you finished uh for Patrick was uh uh I I met you 96 and I know you competed you know that when did you turn coach and how did this come about I mean you were competitor turning coach I no I think he was coaching at that time already already yeah yeah I I I coached my my training partner when I was doing my first show I was coaching my training partner who who did the show and he won the overall the Swiss championships and I won the novas class so that's something I've always done always coached that just slowly you know Switzerland and then Northern Italy a little bit of Germany a little bit of friends and just he's flu in three languages right Italy what what's your fourth language Italian German French and English oh you speak French too I didn't know that yeah yeah I mean fluent Milos fluent like fluent like like you know it's not like you learn another language and like Chris say Chris like Chris saying he can communicate yeah no no he's fluent and is a it's always been and you can tell you can tell when you talk to someone doesn't matter what language it is if there's a little bit there's some smartness there somewhere he's a bodybuilding fan number one I watched him since since I was in the sport since I see Patrick I know about Patrick you know it it Tak some time he has a lot of experience and I tell people today I said he has a lot of experience I will I will choose a coach with experience over results because results listen there there's people anybody can coach them it doesn't matter who it is you know but experience is what takes an athlete uh you know I want to say Express but the fastest way to get there with an experienced Coach and he's been doing a great job he's doing it he's doing it there's no you know you don't hear no lot of negative stuff coming out of his Corners you know so and I I I I appreciate that I think you made a huge sh huge name for yourself it shows by the athletes that contact you you know that's basically for you the uh uh um this is the result of your hard work all these years and it's the m is the same with you these guys contact you for a reason they don't contact you because they want to know how much you cost they contact you because they want to know if you can take them on you see what I'm saying the only difference between me me and Patrick there's a lot of negativity going over me well yeah I don't know if it's negative because you know me somebody just you got to see who's saying the things just because somebody just because somebody online with the with a a name uh Quasimoto doesn't mean uh you know you know this this holds any water that comes M that comes with a territory you know it's happened to me in the past to where maybe an athlete isn't supposed or didn't show up the way he's supposed to you know that happens uh it it's you know it's always our fault and I and I take the fault for it because but people don't know with the background people don't know everything that goes on people don't know what went through the prep people know but they don't care and judges don't care when you step on stage at the end of the day it only matters what you show on stage and you know as much as we are praised for what we do I think it's right we also blamed for what we do where I have a problem is when people speak without knowing what's actually going on that's what kind of bothers me sometimes is like you're only judging what you see which which I get but sometimes there's a reason why somebody you know I prep somebody for seven shows we win four shows we get top 10 plac in at Olympia then you do one show where you don't show up at your best and then you don't look like [ __ ] you do just not your best and all of a sudden oh everything is bad every you don't know what you're [ __ ] talking about oh that sounds so familiar oh yeah see what I'm but you know what I'm saying but that what bothers me is when and it doesn't anymore as much is when people judge without the intrinsic knowledge of do you know were you there the last you know two weeks 48 Hours have you you know what's going on and I'm not the guy who's going to go out there on YouTube and and podcast and say no this and this I don't give a [ __ ] that's that's your opinion your opinion is based on not on facts then you know say whatever you want but then you create this General perception of a coach maybe who's not and you know it happens to Milos now it's like yeah only only Milos knows what's going on and this is not the last time this not the last time this happens this can happen anytime it doesn't matter you can win every show for five years and all of a sudden you lose one or maybe two and then they changes you move it somewhere else and why who knows at the end of the day it doesn't really matter you know you guys are established can nobody take that away from any of you two you know and there there's a few others I don't care what nobody says I know I know both of you yeah I'm gonna say because it's interesting thing anyway Dennis uh Mar Sassi introduced me to Patrick I think it was 96 or 97 you know it doesn't matter uh 98 in rem at at at the Expo yeah it was and Patrick is a tick dance [ __ ] you know I don't remember him like this I don't know why I don't remember no I don't I couldn't even remember that he was on stage with me H well you know because you you were focusing too much on Dexter and Chris no I wasn't focus on Dexter at all I beat Dexter the week before I focus on Chris cuz he's the one me I I do I just do know that uh M ask me can I talk to to Patrick a little bit about you know certain things I do right so of course I did and then I do remember uh you know Patrick doing this one show and uh how we plan Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday on Wednesday Patrick wanted to quit you remember that he he looked super bad like on Wednesday and then Thursday you look better and then Friday you look [ __ ] spot on you don't remember cuz uh I you for that show and you must be mistaken with somebody else no guarantee Patrick it was you okay who's older mles is older right I am I'm 60 don't don't I think Patrick would you remember that do are you usually someone who forgets no not really no huh I know I am remember me cing it for the show no we had I I back in the day we had you know several discussions with we have to write letters remember yeah write letters and and I remember sending you what I was doing through a letter and uh you answered me oh this is one of the best plans I've seen keep doing this and then we talked about uh before the show you explained to me the the alone protocol remember it's like depleting Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday and then alone protocol from Wednesday evening because you told me that's what Dorian was doing at a time you remember yeah so Friday 150 yeah and then carb up uh after Wednesday Thursday and Friday and then cut the water slowly you know uh from 63 to one liter and we took out the salt Thursday and Friday and carbed up with like crazy amount of carbs like 1,500 grams of carbs the last two days with insulin yeah yeah Yes W with insulin yes yeah I was about to say you want eat that kind of carbs you know no but I just remember that you you like whichever day you wanted to quit you didn't want to even showed up in the stage and then by the time uh uh the protocol was over you were super happy and uh and it was not writing at the time even though we had emails gilian emails yeah I I I didn't have an email back then I didn't even have a computer I wrote maybe maybe maybe it was someone else listen me and you me and you we just had that conversation yesterday that we both at a point sometimes where we could swear 100% this is I remember it exactly and then later on I proved myself wrong yeah we just talked about this yesterday that sometimes this happens so maybe this is one maybe it's one of different thing there was something with my wife that uh it it doesn't matter it's just about forgetting things or you know or thinking it's this person when it was a different person happens to me all the time so it doesn't matter the end of the day you guys are both still here you guys are both great I appreciate you Patrick for making the time Milos of course I appreciate you Chris is gone he's probably on his flight right now because that's that wraps up our podcast for today um I would love to bring you back maybe before the Olympia so we can do some predictions with you Pat especially especially if you have two top guys in the Olympia that's you know maybe even more who knows that's uh I think that's that will be very interesting to get you a your take on uh what's happening this year if we see another upset at the Olympia is that what you're expecting well I'm not going to expect an upset in the 212 that I can tell you now uhuh but um I might have a surprise for the classic division okay and uh maybe for the open division we'll see can you can you talk about the classic who it is well um his name is Stefan matala he's a he's a classic athlete from France I know who that is I know I I seen his Instagram I think I know who that is and and if you're talking about genetics Freddy's position for this sport that is absolutely one of the craziest things I've ever seen in my life awesome it's it's just it's mind-blowing awesome we're looking forward to it thank you again man I appreciate you God bless you all stay safe peace out Patrick it's Dennis it's Dennis my name is Dennis bye Dennis bye all right take care
