hi this is Jen with Redford studio and today I'm going to talk to you about iron-on paper pieces many of you have probably used a traditional cardstock for doing your English paper piecing so you take your peace with the fusible shiny side and place it down on the backside of your fabric and you're gonna fuse that into place once your piece has been fused you're going to cut your seam allowance you don't even an acrylic template to do it you're just gonna eyeball 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch after you've cut your seam allowances you're going to glue baste the edges over the backside of the app the freezer paper the fusible paper once you're done basting your pieces place them right sides together just like you do for traditional English paper piecing and whip stitch them together the difference being this time when you're done you don't have to remove hundreds of paper because they are water-soluble so the first 50% will dissolve after the first washing and then maybe the next four or five washings it'll be virtually gone we offer these in pre-cut packages of various shapes online and we also offer some different projects called in the round these are all by Helen Stubbings of hugs and kisses in Australia here's an example of using one of her project and English paper pieces we don't have the size of our shape that you need to the top you also carry it in sheets eight-and-a-half by eleven inches thanks so much and we'll see you next time
