hello everyone and welcome to the One Stop Co-op shop this is Colin and today we are going to do a solo playthrough of iron Helm which is a solo only game a perilous solo quest for fortune and Glory we are an old Adventure trying to just get enough money to retire it sounds like all of us in real life I just want enough money so I can retire and play games all day right that's what I want to do in order for us to do that we have to delve into this dungeon taking out enemies completing quests or plot cards to find the boss once we find the boss we have to defeat them and we win the level one if we get there I'm thinking of moving to level two I do have so this game has a base game and there's a bunch of different small expansions including these Adventure Packs I do have everything for the game except for I think the fan made uh there's a fan made expansion I don't have but you're able to play up to four different levels and I do have all of that for this game so if things are going well we might just keep going it's gonna all depend upon How We Do this is another game I blame on dungeon dive so thank you dungeon dive yet again I watched a review of this picked it up and I'm super enjoying it it's really fun quick easy but it's got some fun tough choices a good old Pusher luck mechanic we'll show you how that works as always make sure to turn on those cling on subtitles in case I make uh errors that I miss in editing and without further Ado let's jump into setup meet our adventure and start our playthrough our adventure today will be scroll let's take a look at her scroll has a total of 15 Health 10 energy you use energy whenever you attack with a weapon can hold a total of 11 worth of I would count that as weight so 11 encumbrances uh two rations and three gold she's going to start with the trappings trophy and mace and she has the skill treasure hunter as we delve into the dungeon and defeat enemies we can potentially spend three of our enemies that we've defeated to level up and gain a skill card that's a brand on type conversely if we want one of any of the types we'd have to spend five total enemies to do that we have our coins our rations our energy and our health all over here I picked scroll because I love her skill whenever you gain a gold coin for defeating an enemy you also gain an energy energy is hard to come by and so being able to get a coin and energy whenever you defeat an enemy I love it from the trappings deck we found our mace our mace here it has two for its encumbrance so its total weight is two but we can hold 11 so that's fine and it says when finding an undead enemy you may re-roll dying results of one or two Undead have that symbol in the right corner there that you see it looks purple so when we're finding a purple enemy we have that ability our trophy here is an off-handed item so you can see we placed it in our offhand location and I should mention that these mats if you want to buy this game do not come with them they are extra and you definitely don't need them to play the game it's just a nice way to organize your character and all the cards that are set up once per Adventure level you may reroll all your dice results in combat so that's kind of cool now we have three coins that we can use to buy any additional cards from the trapping deck so I've purchased three cards our first one is the wool cloak once per level you may subtract one damage from an initial attack a nice way to protect ourselves as I'm reading that wool cloak I'm realizing it's not a body item it's an as which is an accessory so we can have that as well as having something on our body which is cool this cost us one coin remember we had three so the next one I am buying rations so this doesn't have any weight uh and we can have as many accessories as we want discard this to a discard immediately and gain two additional rations so I'm actually just going to discard this right now when buying this and now it's out of the game I can never get it again but that will give me two more rations so I have a total of four rations instead of two and then my third gold I am going to grab this flask because this looks too good to be true this says we can drink to gain to health may only be used once but can be refilled at the campsite so we could use it I'll essentially exhaust it and then if we find the campsite we can then uh refresh it essentially because we'll refresh at our campsite so that is how our character is set up next we'll set up our dungeon as well as our morality track so our morality track we're going to set at zero when we start the campaign and then here for our dungeon we start at level one now if you don't have the mat they do have cards for these but since hey they're printed on the mat I'm going to use them up here I have our trappings cards as well as all of our skill cards our skill cards whenever we gain one we can choose which one we gain and the brown ones only cost three enemies the non-bron ones because of our character cost five we have all of our different token types here this is rations that's energy that's poison we'll talk about how poison works as we play coins additional health and then these are blessing tokens these are really important right before we fight the boss any blessing tokens we have will flip over and they'll give us benefits of either more health or more energy or removing poison super super helpful so we want as many of these as possible but we always gain them face down all these other ones are just dual sided they're identical over here we have four different Decks that we've simply shuffled up and we're ready to go when you're playing and potentially doing the campaign and I say potentially because you actually have to survive it is very easy to die in this game and you'll see once you're dead you're dead there's no respawning and having additional rounds if you die you're done so that could happen pretty quickly in this game uh I've got the plots for the loot and lore and the base game same with the potions Loot and enemies they're all shuffled up and ready to go as we go to different Adventure Packs assuming that you can complete this level one we'll actually Shuffle those ones into these specific decks and it will tell us certain cards to remove the iron chest which I believe is the final expansion for this game has four modules that you can include during the base game play to provide variability most of them make the game harder I don't feel like I needed to be harder uh there are a couple things that make it I don't know if easier is the right word but give you more options and one of them is the artifacts so whenever we gain loot what we can do is give up one blessing and instead of drawing a loot we draw an artifact then the next time we try and draw an artifact we have to spend two blessings and then the next one it's three and four and so on and so forth but these are extra powerful kind of fun cards that I actually have never even seen I've just shuffled them up so if we have black scenes and we feel like we can spend them which probably won't be the case but if we do we can spend them and instead draw an artifact instead of a loot card our final part of setup and the Crux of the game are the 16 door cards there are a few different types of these cards but with all of the different expansions for the game these never change they're always the same let me show you a few of the 16 door cards there are a total of eight of them that are about combat so you can just imagine that you will be having combat quite often in the game there are ways to avoid it but I'm playing scroll who actually likes to defeat enemies because I like killing things in games not in real life I promise but in games I really enjoy that so I played a character that doesn't mind taking down some enemies uh but these cards are so cool so how they work you're gonna draw two doors every turn and you're gonna choose to flip over one and when you flip it over if there are two choices here you'll always select the first one if it's the first card that you flip if you decide I don't really want to do that you'll then flip the second card and you have to choose the second choice of that one but a lot of times for example the Skirmish and the Ambush if you do the first option they're not as bad heck the Ambush it's actually kind of good because you get to attack first but maybe you're not ready to attack and you're hoping for a clearing card or the campsite and you flip over your next one and it's a skirmish card well the level two gives the enemies more health and they're harder to defeat so you have to it's that push your luck of do I want to flip the other one or do I not and then after you resolve that cardio discard both face down so you don't actually know which the other one was if you decided not to take the second door you won't know what the other one is so you can can't you know count the cards and know exactly what you're going to see so we're going to go through these drawing two at a time we have eight that are all about uh attacking or you know dealing with enemies the other eight cards are one-off cards we've got the Labyrinth which makes you spend rations Arrow cards that are Arrow traps that give you poison those are the two bad ones the rest of them are not too bad we've got the mushroom Grove which helps you gain rations the treasure car which gives you gold or potentially loot then we have the merchant where if you find the merchant then you can buy loot or potions we have the altar which can help you with gaining a blessing or healing we have the campsite which gives you options of spending rations to gain energy or just gain a ration or a way to get gain some health and uh get rid of some poison and then the final and probably the most important is clearing the plot cards are all about how we're going to find the boss each of these plot cards has an I symbol or eye symbols down at the bottom right yeah does that make you think of Lord of the Rings because it makes me think of Lord of the Rings the I symbols once you have a total of 10 eye symbols in your discard pile with these plot cards right after that you go and face the boss so although you want to resolve these and you want to resolve them relatively quickly before you run out of energy and health you don't want to do it too quickly before you've leveled up so the clearing card guarantees that you draw a plot card and then every time the deck is empty so after we've gone through eight of the 16 cards and there's no cards left to draw we will then move to the next level of the dungeon we'll move to level two we'll Shuffle those cards up and uh the dungeon cards up and then you draw a plot card so you have a potential of drawing two plot cards around so what I'm going to do now is I'm going to take this entire deck of 16 dungeon cards shuffle them up and I think we're ready oh I do want to mention you also have three d6s and two d12s the d12s are just used to track health for the enemies d6s are used for resolution of combat and you'll see how that works as we play alright let me get this set up we've shuffled up our doors let's go ahead and draw the top two now what we get to do is flip one of them doesn't matter which one well it does but we don't know okay we have an ambush right to start off with you catch your foe by surprise and gain the upper hand so if I choose this one now I'll draw an enemy card and ignore their initial damage the initial damage is the first attack that the enemy does so this means I would get to attack first but we will have to add the dungeon level to their health so we're going to add one now I could choose to forego that and draw that second card but I kind of like the idea of us attacking first and I really don't want to have another Ambush so I'm going to do the Ambush I'll flip both of these face down and we'll draw our first enemy all right we'll flip this over oh and we have a cave troll they've got a cave troll gosh hello there the Rings all over this cave troll has a total of eight health plus one because of the dungeon so nine Health it attacks for a base value of four that is brutal We're Gonna Roll two dice on top of that take the difference between the two dice and add that up and that's going to be his total attack wow we might be using those robes right away oh actually we're not because he's not going to attack us first this here tells us what we gain if we defeat him if we defeat him if it's a two we gain one Loot and one potion card if it's a one we just gain one loot card and if it's a zero we gain nothing over here this tells us he's weak to fire so if one of our weapons or potions had something that was a fire type of attack it would tell us what the benefit would be if we were attacking a character or enemy that had weakness to fire we don't down here we can see he's got one gold coin on him that means when we defeat him we'll gain a coin and because of our treasure hunter ability we'll gain an energy back so we now get to attack first since we have a mace we can spend energy to attack if we didn't have the mace or we chose not to use energy we could always just deal one damage to him spending no damage basically punching him in the face with our fists I'm not doing that he's at a nine I do want to take him out so uh the most I can spend a turn is three and I think that's what I'm gonna do for each one of those we get a D6 that we get to roll so I'm going to roll three d6s and hope to goodness I don't roll that because that won't kill him I'll roll these three d6s and if we can get to nine or more we take them out before he attacks us we'll give our dice a roll and we have six plus five that's definitely enough so we were able to take him out before he attacked us and we'll gain one of these energy uh tokens back and one gold so now we have one gold eight total energy and we've defeated our first Monster so I'm going to place this aside in our graveyard area and we'll be using this cave troll for two different things the first thing is once we gain three of these we can potentially level up gaining another skill or five if we want one that's not a Brawn type of skill but two once we do find the boss we're going to look at all the enemies we killed in whichever type that we have the most of that's going to be the type of boss that we're going to fight we'll either fight a lich if it's Undead we'll fight the Naga if it's a fire or we'll attack the or fight the lurker if it's ice we're able to draw a loot and a potion card thanks to taking out that cave troll so our loot is a health potion you may discard this to gain for health oh nice and it's only a one for encumbrances and we have a health potion you may discard this to gain for health well great we have two ways to gain health and our total encumbrance is still less than 11 so we'll be able to hold both of these that was our first steps in the dungeon let's see what we want to do this time let's flip this one first okay this one is a treasure so if we had flipped this second we we would get to draw one Loot and one potion card that would have been awesome the top here is gain one gold I'm definitely going to do that why not their second gold I don't think I want to deal with whatever's here who knows maybe I do but I will never know I will then draw two more cards and I just seem to like to flip this one so let's flip this one oh we have a clearing drop plot card it's a bit early but I still think yeah I think I'm gonna do it the chasm you nearly slip and fall to your death as your feet find the edge of a perilous drop off you hear a worried voice echo from across the other side of the Gap help me the Rope Bridge broke as I crossed it and my backpack is still on that side please toss it to me should we either Toss The Stranger their backpack or we can keep the bag for ourself in this game you are allowed to see what's on the car to make the decision of what you want to do because it is a solo only game so he knows you're going to see this so we can spend a few moments looking at the back and once you have it in your hands you throw it across the divide into the uh relieved stranger I'd lose an energy for throwing it but I gain a blessing token remember those those are awesome and move up one on the morality track or you are overtaken by greed and you just decide to loot the bag gain one ration and one random loot card move down one on the morality track the morality track will impact potentially other plot cards and that will follow you if we do complete level one and we move to level two we will not change where we are on the morality track I'm leaning towards throwing the bag uh one energy I have eight I'll go down to seven so I'll spend that that doesn't seem terrible gaining a blessing token is absolutely not terrible that's great I'll just store it here so I have one right now and we'll move up one on the morality track that takes us up to here we can see at the bottom right corner there's only one eye that means we only have one eye of the ten needed so we'll continue on so I'll take this card I don't know what it is let's flip our next two we'll flip this one oh we have the Labyrinth discard one ration if you have no rations lose three Health well I only have actually one two three four five four do I just discard one no I'm gonna take the chance so I'm going to discard this one but then we're going to have to do the lower effect it is what it is uh oh we have campsite that's great there is no lower effect so we can either spend one ration to gain three energy or we can search and gain one ration or spend ration to gain two health and lose a poison well I don't need any of that I think I'm just going to do I need three energy one two three four five you know what I'm gonna spend a ration I'm going to spend a ration and gain three energy that gets me to my Max of ten yeah like I said the energy is super important especially because we are expecting ourselves to fight quite a bit so not a problem there I loved getting the campsite worth it way better than the Labyrinth okay we have these two to choose from let's pick this one oh we have an ambush I'm definitely whenever I see the Ambush I've told myself scroll would definitely like to fight enemies especially having the first attack so we are going to choose number one there we'll just take this card and discard it and our enemy will be a zombie okay zombies do not inflict initial damage well it doesn't matter okay we do get uh a loot card this one is considered Undead that means with our mace if we roll a one or a two when attacking then we'll be able to uh re-roll it the zombie only has two Health let's look to see it this says add the dungeon level to their health we're still at level one so it's only a three so I think I'm just going to spend and you can see we don't get any coins we don't get a gold coin so I will not gain my energy back I'm gonna take a chance because even if I roll a one or a two yeah let's just roll let's roll one die so pretty much guarantee that we'll take them out we'll give our die a roll and we have a four he's done we get to draw a loot card or we could give up our blessing and draw an artifact but I think I don't think I'm ready for that yet let's just do our loot oh a magic ring once per dungeon level you may avoid an ambush all cool this puts our encumbrance level to eight we're still okay so I'll set that aside and now we'll draw two more cards and let's do this one first oh we have gain of poison I don't want to gain a poison so I think especially because we can avoid an ambush if this is an ambush we can we can ignore it so I'll discard this one and instead we have a skirmish okay so this is a level two drawn enemy Karn and add the dungeon level plus four so we're gonna add five to its health so we have another zombie uh two plus five is only seven that's still not terrible uh and it actually does not inflict initial damage because of its ability so we get to just attack this thing how much energy do I want to spend on a zombie I don't want to spend a ton I think we could get pretty close with two dice we might even be able to take them out if we're lucky and if not he adds zero damage to a roll we might soak a little bit and then go and take him out with just our fists so we're gonna spend two energy that means we'll roll two dice hoping we just roll a seven oh yeah there it is a nine we're good we'll flip our loot card that we gained oh we have an Elven bow deal too much two damage to your foe before taking initial damage is that better but that's two-handed so then we couldn't hold the trophy I think I'll just hold on to this in case I lose my weapon that's a two three four five six seven eight nine ten yep we can hold it we have just enough space for that I have now defeated three enemies so I do think I'm going to level up gaining another skill I'm gonna grab berserk this says you may spend two Health to add an additional die to your attack roll add five damage if you throw your ax I don't have an ax I have a mace but if I gain an ax you can actually Chuck an X and then deal plus five damage but then you lose the ax forever uh still think that's an awesome ability with the adding two Health to add additional attack die we'll keep delving through the dungeon let's flip both of these and this one is a skirmish okay we'd have to fight another enemy I still haven't taken any damage yet so I mean I could do that this could be an ambush which would give them additional damage but it could be a good card I'm gonna I'm gonna discard Skirmish I'm gonna flip this instead don't be an ambush oh it's not it's a mushroom Grove gained two rations wow that is the way to go we now have one two three four five okay scroll is rocking it right now she is an adventure Queen that's for sure I will move these two these are the last two that we have let's flip this over it's a skirmish I think this time we pushed our luck last time let's do Skirmish we're gonna attack a flying uh snake this one says you gain one poison with initial damage okay that's not terrible one poison isn't bad at the end of each dungeon level which is what we're going to be at the end of this for every two poison tokens you currently have you gain an additional one and then if at any point your number of poison in tokens is equal to or greater than your health you just instantly die so gaining one poison actually isn't terrible so long as we're not at one Health and heck we're still at full health uh this one is at a total of three health and I believe it's going to be the same this one's at draw an enemy card and add the dungeon level plus two so the dungeon level is one so three four five six six total health he adds one to his attack doesn't give us any loot and he's an ice uh an ice enemy which I don't have any benefits against this will be the first time I get to show you how the enemies attack so I'm going to grab two d6s and give them a roll they rolled a three and a two we're going to take the three minus two that's one so they're going to do one damage to us plus the one here that's two total damage however we have our wool cloak once per level you may subtract one damage from the initial attack this is the initial attack the first attack that's the only one I can use this with so I'm going to use that so we're only taking one damage we're down to 14 Health we now are able to attack back I'm going to spend two energy man I'm spending a lot of energy but that's two dice okay so I'm going to grab the two dice here and give them a roll I just need a six until five and one just enough we just took out the flying snake we don't get anything for that except for getting rid of him and that's uh one enemy now for our level up that we can potentially gain after we get two more or four more depending upon what skill type we want our dungeon deck is now empty so we'll slide over to the level two now whenever you see it says add the dungeon level it'll be adding two plus whatever it is we have to pay one ration or we lose three Health if we don't have it I have so many rations that's no problem one two three four I still have four remaining after this one and then we draw a plot card we have the hid in you smell roasting meat and hear the sounds of laughter and clanking dishes of all the places to find a secret Tavern you enter the small door and are met with a friendly gaze so we can either eat and rest by the fire pay one gold for a meal and gain two health and one energy once only or we can gamble spend one gold and if we roll a one two three or four we lose it and we could gain a gold or gain two gold depending on if we roll five or six if you gain five or more gold you are kicked out of the tavern oh so you can do the gamble over and over again uh yeah squall's not a gambler she's got two gold she'll spend one to put her health back up to full and gain one energy really I just want the energy and the one Health I'm not too worried about that's two more eyes we have a total of three eyes so we're still okay we can draw our first two cards for level two and I think we're gonna start with this one this one is the altar so we can either gain a blessing or heal and we roll two D sixes and we take the top the higher one minus the lower one and we would gain or discard that many poison tokens we only have one I don't think I'm gonna do that I'm gonna gain a blessing token that'll be my second blessing token that's why I feel like that's good now we can potentially yeah we could potentially give up one of those uh if we wanted to get an artifact okay our next two we have let's try this one okay we have the Labyrinth discard one ration if you have uh no rations lose three health I have rations I don't want to go in The Labyrinth I have a way to avoid an ambush so yeah let's do this one instead oh it's a treasure draw one Loot and one potion card so our loot our loot is a sword we have a dagger you must re-roll results of a six when a dagger is used as a primary weapon well bummer I was kind of hoping for an ax but it is what it is uh then we'll gain a potion you may discard this to gain two energy yeah I'm just gonna discard that right now to gain the two energy so I'll discard that potion gaining two more energy what does that put me at I now have eight energy worth it and what are my encumbrances I have exactly 11 encumbrances so I'm still okay well that was definitely worth it thank you treasure so I'll discard both of those okay let's flip this one and we have the mushroom Grove don't mind if I do I will simply take one more ration and then we will discard both of these yeah sometimes you can get kind of Lucky uh then let's do this one and that's a clearing yeah you know I'm actually feeling kind of good let's do another plot card we have the Shrine in the clearing you find a towering Shrine covered in vegetation you are overwhelmed by a sense of power just as a gentle breeze rushes past you gain blessing tokens equal to your position on the morality track while I am one on the morality track so I will gain one potion or sorry blessing that will be three plus three we're now at six total eyes okay we're we're still okay I mean there's no card that has four so we're guaranteed to not get there at the end of this level we'll have to do another level after this let's flip this one oh it's a skirmish nah nah I'm gonna instead do a skirmish uh this one is add the dungeon level plus four so it's a two plus four so we're adding six to the health of this enemy oh and we have a wolf so that's nine total for this one and it says we can avoid this conflict by spending one ration I have so many rations and I don't I don't really well I mean one loot is okay but I still think it's worth it I'm gonna spend the ration and then I'm just going to discard from how I understand I discard this wolf it doesn't go into my trophy area so uh but the nice thing is at least I have to deal with them okay let's draw our next two let's pick this one oh we have an ambush I like it when I get to Ambush so I will Ambush an enemy so I'm just going to take this one and discard it and we have a wolf this one will only have three and the Ambush card simply says add the dungeon level to their health so that would be two so this wolf only has five Health okay that's not terrible I think I can take him down I can take him down uh he does get to attack me first yeah I'll take the attack so I'll roll two D sixes and he does an auto two damage now I should mention if ever we roll doubles when they attack then they totally Miss oh wait what am I saying I ambushed them right and says draw an enemy card ignore their initial damage that's the whole reason I did this so I do think I will spend two energy to Precious energy to roll two D sixes oh that's terrible I only dealt him two damage oh he's down to three that means I'll have to spend another one anyways to attack him oh why didn't I roll that for his attack he totally missed me okay he's now going to attack me and he attacks me for four damage I don't have any because that wool cloak will not help me when he attacks you know what I should have done can I pretend I was smart I forgot I had my trophy but you know what shame on me for not remembering that so I'm just gonna take this hit four plus two that's six Health we are now down to nine health and that's what you get for being stupid I should have used my trophy okay I'll spend my third energy and I'm not getting any back from him because he doesn't give me gold for that's definitely enough to take him out I will draw a single a loot card our fake coin States when asked to draw a plot card discard the fake coin to draw two pick one and discard the other and it has no weight to hold so I can actually hold that I do think I will then discard my health potion to gain for health putting myself back up to 13 Total Health all right that was a fun fight with that wolf let's keep delving so we'll flip this one over oh we have a merchant we definitely well we have one coin well we could sell the Elven bow and the dagger yeah let's do the merchant for sure so we're at level two that means we get to draw two Loot and one potion and we can potentially buy them and oh my goodness this ice hack looks awesome you may discard this card to deal three D6 damage while spending zero energy plus three to the sum of your attack Roll versus enemies a week to frost and yeah so it's good against Frost uh enemies because of the ice hack this one once per dungeon level you may reveal both dungeon cards and choose one oh our potion is holy water you may discard this to deal 2d6 damage plus five to if it's Undead it only costs one can I get to six I don't think I can so you can sell everything for one gold I'm for sure gonna sell my dagger and Elven bow so I'm gonna discard both of those and that means that gives me two more gold so that's three I think I'll sell my fake coin for five and my mace for six is that a good idea I don't know but you know what's awesome this ice hack uh so it has to be in your primary hand yeah and you I can discard it and deal three D6 damage plus five with the berserk if I really wanted so yeah that seems worth it but I'm not going to get the lamp or the holy water was that smart I don't know uh because we might actually be finding an undead boss but whatever whatever just don't pay it oh Ambush uh I want to Ambush do I want to Ambush I only have five energy I could take a chance on that card if it's an ambush I actually have a way with my magic ring to discard it yeah I think I I don't really want to find an enemy right now so instead I'm on a campsite that is sweet I love this game okay spend one energy uh one ration to gain three energy heck yes I will do that I'm gonna spend that and I will gain three energy one two three all that puts us back up to eight energy I believe yep confirmed eight energy worth it but now we're at the end of level two we'll move ourselves down to the level three and we have to draw a plot card we have the traveler a cloaked figure approaches you you place your hand on your weapon fearing a conflict however the Old Man reveals himself as a cleric and makes a gesture of Peace he places his hand on your shoulder and Whispers to himself self gain either health or energy equal to your position on the morality track well I'm in a lot of ways to affect that I'm at a one definitely gaining energy I want energy so now I have nine energy and that's two more eyes three four five six seven eight so I'm still okay we don't have the ten we'll start level three we can draw our two door cards starting level three and we have a skirmish I don't really want a skirmish well I've got lots of energy oh let's take the chance we'll flip this one over oh it's a mushroom Grove to total energy or uh rations you know sometimes you get lucky okay so we'll discard these two face down and let's flip the next two let's do this one that's a campsite uh we can either gain a ration spend one ration to gain three energy I actually think I have enough energy so I think I'm just going to gain a ration yeah I think I'm just gonna gain ration that way if I find the Labyrinth I can just spend the ration and not worry about it uh uh let's see our next two let's flip this one we have the Labyrinth well let's discard that um ration that we just got so we'll discard the ration and we're good with these two man we are flying through these doors we are flying I mean we we are uh a really good a really good Adventure apparently Ambush let's Ambush an enemy shall we if we Ambush one more enemy we'll have three and we could level up with another Brawn ability uh do I want the Perry I was kind of thinking of grabbing Perry but we'll see all right we have an undead Archer you may not defend against the initial damage from this guy but he does not give us initial damage because of the Ambush it says add the dungeon level to their health or their uh three so that's a total of seven so his health is seven let's see do I want to spend one two I definitely need to spend two energy do I want to spend three a seven no you know what we're gonna we're gonna take a chance and we're gonna spend two because he does give us a coin and if he gives us a coin we also get an energy back so two dice on them unfortunately with this Undead Archer it's very likely we're going to be finding the Lich which is a terrible enemy but it is what it is oh we're at six so he's down to one he's down to one that means I won't have to spend another energy to take him out but he does get a chance to hit me so we'll roll two dice he's doing two damage plus uh one so that's three damage you don't have anything to prevent that no I'll just soak the three that means I'm down to 10 Total Health and then I will just punch this Undead archer in the face for the one not spending any energy I'll gain an energy back because of my treasure hunter ability and I'll draw a loot card and our loot card is the Field Guide The Field Guide allows us to gain an additional ration whenever you enter the mushroom Grove we also only have seven total encumbrances so adding one to eight we're totally fine I also need to remember to gain the one gold coin from him as well that gives me my first gold coin I forgot I had an ax so I definitely want to spend these three enemies that I defeated to gain ax Mastery when using an ax you may re-roll all dice results of one or two heck yeah let's go ahead and move to the next door so we'll flip this one we have the merchant I only have one gold uh level three I'd flip two Loot and two potions but I don't really have anything I want to get rid of do I want to just do that and not buy anything and not deal with what's there or do I take the chance if it's an ambush I have the magic ring so 109 discard the merchant I can't believe I'm doing that and we'll flip this it's a skirmish oh no all right health is three plus four so add seven to the health of whatever this enemy is seven plus five well that will make this Undead Warrior a 12 and yeah this guarantees we're finding the Lich that's another undead enemy it says you lose one blessing with initial damage that is just mean so I'll go ahead and lose this one there's no way for me to prevent his initial damage wow that's mean uh and he's dealing three damage plus whatever he rolls well it serves me right for not uh going to the merchant okay it's only a one so three a plus one is four damage I will use my wool cloak which will prevent one of that damage so it's down to three damage to us I think that puts us down to seven now though I will have to spend three total energy to roll three Dice and I believe I can do this I'm going to spend two more health so that I get to roll isn't that role in additional down you may spend two out to add an additional die to your attack all so normally I think you can only roll three but I'll be rolling four however it cost me two health and three energy to do so I only have three dice with me right here so I'll roll the three let's see what we get oh that's terrible oh ones and twos I get to re-roll because it's an ax thank you ice hack I'll roll those up I don't think I get to re-roll them I think I only get to roll them once three four five six so I need a six with this extra roll to actually take them out uh no it's a tube which I get to re-roll uh that's a one oh my gosh that's seven so uh it was six plus one is seven so he's down to five Total Health but he's laughing at me this might be the end of us uh because he's going to deal us three damage and we'll roll these two do I have anything no you know what before I do anything like that once per dungeon level you may re-roll all your dice results in combat yeah I think I'm gonna use that this time I also have a kajillion d6s so I grabbed a fourth one so I don't have to re-roll that one I still get to re-roll ones and twos but I think it's only one time we need 12 on four dice we should be able to do that oh wow thank you trophy six five five five I think that Undead Warrior is toast so we'll get a gold coin we'll also get uh an energy back which is great and we get one loot we'll grab that loot card flip it over and that looks awesome this is a body car subtract two from initial damage and counter strikes cannot use the conceal or Shadow Skill why don't have either of those I'll take that a three encumbrance though three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven I can exactly hold it oh my gosh taking that scale armor and what's awesome is I can have that and I can have the wool cloak because that's just an accessory and I have two gold that's going to be another uh Undead enemy though Skirmish is done okay let's see which we're gonna do this one oh it's another skirmish I am not ready for another Skirmish I'm not please be an ambush uh because then we can just not do it oh it's an ambush so I'm going to use the magic ring once per dungeon level you may avoid an ambush so as we were about to get ambushed we dodged it but now I've got to be a little more careful all right let's flip this one oh we have a clearing okay do we want to go to the boss fight because no matter what this plot card will have one eye yeah I think we've got lots of energy we're going to get there within the next turn anyways so let's go ahead and do the clearing and draw our plot card the corpse you trip over the corpse of a fellow Adventure as you stagger to your feet you realize the body belongs to a friend from years past do you bury the corpse you decide the best way to pay tribute to your friendship is a proper burial lose one energy and move one up on the morality track or Take the Money and Run you search the corpse for anything that may Aid you and you leave the corpse behind move down one in the morality track and draw one treasure card oh I'm assuming that means a loot card you know normally I would do the top one you know what we we've got ways we've got ways right don't we all right but we don't have a ton you know what yes I'm gonna I'm gonna be a good friend I'm gonna be a good friend I'm gonna spend one energy that means I only have one two three four I only have five energy remaining but I'm going to spend that one energy and I'm going to move up one on the morality track remember this morality track will track US to a level two if we get there if we look at all of these plot cards I'm realizing we still don't have enough eye symbols I don't know why I thought we did one two three four five six seven eight nine unless I'm hiding one no I don't think I am so that means we have to do one more door set I thought we had enough uh Colin in his bad math okay we have the final two cards after this we're at the end of the level anyways and then we're guaranteed so let's flip this one we have a skirmish I don't want to Skirmish I don't want to fight anything oh this is an ambush if this is an ambush no it's a treasure uh draw one loot card and one potion card are you serious right before the boss so we have an iron Helm subtract one from both initial damage and Counter Strike that goes on the head and we have an antidote you may discard this card to remove three poison well I don't have any poison uh but I can't hold all of this because I only have one poison I'm not going to worry about keeping the antidote I don't think the Lich will poison us but I do need to get rid of two uh worth of uh encumbrances to be able to grab that helmet so I'm going to discard the field guide and the wool cloak the wool cloak has done us well but I think it's time to discard it the iron Helm which I love that name is now on our head it's a HD subtract one from both initial damage and counter strikes yeah that's going to help us okay now we need to do one more plot card one single plot card the pigment oh and of course we have to spend a wrap fashion because we are at the end of a level you were drawn to the sound of a windowing animal you are amazed to find a very small pig-like creature with a human likeness caught in a snare trap do we release the Pigman the frightened creature looks confused when you release it it pauses for a moment and takes off on two feet move up one on the morality track or we can carve up the pigeon the pig man your belly rumbles at the side of the pigment and you get to work preparing a fire move down one of the morality track gain three energy yeah we are at uh what are we at we're only at two for Morality oh shouldn't we have moved up one more we should have right because we the whole reason we did this bearing of our friends corpse was to move up on the morality track so that would have moved us up to three I think I forgot to do that because I was thinking I was moving to the boss and I wasn't so I'm going to move back down to two and gain three more energy that will put us to eight thank you big man you are tasty tasty bacon sorry man we were at two for Morality we would have moved up to three from our last plot card and the one we just did moved us back down to two we technically have moved to a level four of the dungeon but now it's time for the boss before we even fight the boss yeah is it worth I think I'm going to use at least my flask this says we can drink to gain two Health may only be used once but can be refilled to the campsite so I'll keep this exhausted but at least that will heal me by two that put me at seven total health we'll then flip our two uh blessing tokens and we gain three more so that gives us a total of 10 Health okay that feels a little bit better now let's look at all the enemies we defeated we can see here we defeated four total Undead Two Fire uh and one ice so that means the Lich is coming out oh I don't like the Lich the Lich here has 20 Health attacks for a straight for damage we will get a loot and a potion if we take them out and it says when the Lich hits with his initial attack or a Counter-Strike which is every attack he's going to steal two of our energy that's why I needed a ton of energy now I do have a bunch of rations and during the game I can spend rations for one energy if I need I've got one two three I've got four rations so I can always use those to help if I need but he will attack us first we do have our scale armor and our iron Helm so we get to reduce this attack by three so he's essentially dealing us one damage plus one actually it's only it's not terrible two damage two damage that's it okay we are going to spend oh and actually he sucks two of our energy away so two of our energy is gone we are definitely going to spend three energy one two three okay we're gonna spend all three well let's see what we can do remember we are attacking with an ax so we get to re-roll a one or a two don't be a one or a two don't be okay 6 10 11 12 13. he's down to seven I'm feeling pretty good about this he then will then attack us back and he's gonna steal two of our energy so we're going to be down to one energy that's okay it's okay we're still blocking three of the uh damage that's coming in so he's only dealing this one damage right now and we'll roll those up one plus three is four one two three four that puts us down to four Total Health okay but I think we can get to Seven because I am going to spend two rations and one energy that I have remaining so that's three energy to throw three more dice I just need a seven with three Dice and I get to re-roll ones or twos so here's a two uh four and four is Eight is Enough uh whatever eight one more is nine that means we just took out the Lich that was a level one of the dungeon that wasn't terrible we will grab a grave stomper and our potion is the energy potion well unfortunately I love both of these but my ice hack with that ax Mastery is too hard for me to pass up on so I think I mean I usually should have there are enemies that actually steal your weapons so I don't have another weapon which is risky but I've got a potion a flask and the magic ring and I've got my iron Helm a scale armor and trophy I don't think yeah I think I'm Gonna Keep neither of those so yeah I took out the Lich which is great oh no I didn't have a blessing token I think I can get an artifact uh but no I think we'll go to one of the Adventure 2 packs let's see how far we can get in that before moving to one of the level 2 Adventures we get to stop at the lonely troll so the first thing we get to do is refresh your health and energy to their starting levels and remove all poison so I'll get rid of the poison we also have to reset our rations so well actually I still only had two left so that's actually exactly what it would be at we can also spend the gold that we have and one of the fun things we can spend it on are henchment and I want to play with the henchman so there's all of these different henchmen that you can have there's one that I was eyeing right off the get-go and I think I'm going to grab her her name is Idis a proud warrior I IDs will have your back in combat adding one damage to the sum of your attacks and allowing you to subtract one from your enemy attacks when at the campsite she will search for food with her action gaining you an extra food but the at the end of each level I have to pay her on additional gold or she'll actually leave us so we put this one here she will keep that here until I don't pay her at the end of a level if I don't buy at the end of the level boom she's gone but giving us one additional damage and one additional block why not and I have you can see it costs two to have her I've got two gold here so I spent the two gold and now she is going along for the ride with us now I'm just going to tell you the rulebook does not do a great job of explaining how to set up the different Adventures but fortunately there is a campaign rule summary here so what I'm going to do for our next one is I'm going to choose adventure pack one I could choose Adventure Pack 3 or I believe it's Adventure Pack five they're all level twos I can choose one of those level twos to go on I can do multiple level twos then do multiple level threes what I'm thinking of doing is doing we just did level one we'll try warn of Despair we have here what carries over between Adventures skills loot potions gold trappings and morality uh what else happens you can visit the lonely troll Tavern and in between the adventures and do the following recover to your character's full health and full energy so we've done that remove all poison you can use your gold acquired from your recently completed adventure and starting gold of your upcoming Adventure which is three but I don't think I'm going to use that I'm going to hold on to that gold to acquire any trappings from either the base game or any of the adventure packs I feel pretty solid right now I just really wanted IDs so I have IDs with this if there are any enemies you defeated in your recently completed Adventure that you did not use to acquire skills then you sell them back as trophies oh so I'll get one more gold so I have a total of four gold how do I mix the various adventure packs in the base game well all characters and all skills and trappings from all adventure packs are available at the start of the game so we did that then the enemy loots and bosses and plot cards for the adventure Bank are only used when you play that particular adventure and then you follow the instructions on the Adventure Pack for cards to remove and so on and so forth and you'll reshuffle everything you will always fight the Box indicated on the Adventure Pack no matter what type of enemies you defeat so that's important to note okay let's set up level two we have the Warren of Despair rating parties of grunkles have reportedly been looting villages in the north rumor has it that they are being led by a large one-eyed Frost giant someone should investigate remove the following cards from the base game and replace them with the cards found in this Adventure Pack so we're going to remove the enemy's goblins Orcs And The Skin cleans and we'll remove the plots the old woman the wolf and the corpse and then we have our boss card the Cyclops so I'm going to do that and then we're just going to get started I might re-show you my character quick so you can see what he looks like or she looks like here we have scroll all decked out we've got our iron Helm are scale armor trophy ice hack we have the magic ring of potion and our flask as well as IDs you can see here we have a total of 11 encumbrances we have our three skills here yeah I think we're ready at four uh level two let's do it we'll grab our two on doors let's flip this one first uh it's a skirmish I'm I think I'm going to discard that one and let's try this one we have oh the altar okay let's gain a blessing that'll be our first blessing uh and what's nice about that is we can maybe give up a blessing to gain an artifact this time I haven't done that yet okay let's flip this one on ambush we will resolve the Ambush so we will uh Ambush and their health is the dungeon level which is dungeon level one I was hoping never to fight the consuming Mass seven plus one eight total health your hand weapon is lost if you roll more than two ones during an attack the nice part is we have our ice hack and it has here plus three to the sum of your attack rolls versus enemies that are weak to frost well the consuming mass does not like Frost and we get to attack it first so how many energy do I want to use maybe just two and the chances of rolling two ones is very minimal uh we don't get oh we do get a loot and a potion I think I will spend two energies that's two d6s remember we get to add three to this roll three four five six seven eight just enough to take them out I do think I'm going to give up a blessing and instead of drawing a loot I'll draw an artifact and a potion we have a potion here this one you may discard this card to deal two six damage uh yeah I'm gonna discard holy water I don't have any place to hold that this artifact oh we have the Divine plate subtract your level of the morality tracker uh plus one so that would be for us three from initial damage and counter strikes yeah I'm going to discard the scale armor and I'm gonna have to discard something else in order to keep that I need to discard one more thing should I do the magic ring you know what we're doing great I'm gonna discard the health potion for another one that's I'm discounting encumbrances of four so I can put the Divine plate on oh that's cool okay we've got the Divine plate we don't have a health potion I'm okay with that let's flip this we have a skirmish yeah I'm gonna discard the Skirmish let's see what we have here instead oh we have the Labyrinth discard two rations lose three Health Reach that you don't have well I have exactly two rations dang I have to discard both of them I don't have any rations anymore okay let's grab our next two and we'll flip this one that is a treasure gain of gold that'll be gold number five I will definitely gain our fifth gold we'll grab both of these and then we will grab our next two doors and let's flip this one Ambush yeah you know whenever we get an ambush it's hard to say no right oh we've got a grunkles this is one of the new ones uh so uh let me read this one it says draw an enemy add the dungeon level so its health is four it says when Grunkle successfully uh hits lose one energy well he's a four why don't we uh should we just spend one yeah let's spend one energy unfortunately he doesn't give us anything so we're not going to get any any energy back so I've already used three energy so let's just roll one die we need to get a four five or six to take them out come on four let's see it that's a six that'll work we'll take them out and we gain a single loot our loot is the shuriken before taking initial damage you may discard this card to inflict to D6 damage cool but I'm not getting rid of anything I like everything that I have so I'm just discarding that we'll draw our next two doors I do love how quick this game goes oh we have a campsite okay at the campsite IDs when at the campsite she will search for food with her action gaining you an extra food so we get one ration from her which is great because I had no rations and then I'm not damaged at all so I think I am just going to gain a ration at the campsite so we just gained two rations for finding that campsite okay I think we've got two more doors we have to go through we'll flip this one oh a merchant uh we're definitely gonna resolve the merchant but I doubt I'm gonna buy anything we're at level one so it's one Loot and one potion we have a Warhammer sounds good but it's not an ax I like having an ax in case we really need to deal damage and we have that ax ability where if we roll one or a two we get to re-roll and we have you may discard this card to deal two D6 damage plus five to foes uh versus Ice no I'm keeping I'm keeping everything that I have so I'm just going to discard these two and we're going to discard these two doors you know I I've got to say I'm feeling pretty good right now you guys I feel like um scroll is all set up and ready to go let's flip this one a skirmish nah discard the Skirmish instead we have oh clearance we're going to be doing two plot cards we have the passageway you notice a strange Rock protruding from the wall you run your hand across it and suddenly the ground begins to shake you stumble to the ground as dust flies or fills the air when you arise you notice a secret passageway where there once was a wall draw another plot card whoa so we have one eye on this one and we'll flip our next one we have the elastiastic a middle-aged woman with darker skin approaches you dressed in Gray Garb with a staff in hand the brooch of penance that holds her cloak together lets you know she is a woman of the cloth her eyes seem able to judge you with a single glance remove poison tokens from yourself equal to your position on the morality track we don't have poison you if your position on the morality track is three or higher oh it's two she gives you the brooch of penance no if you already have the brute of penance she gives you a random potion okay so all we get is three eyes with that and we're now at the end of the dungeon so we're gonna have to spend one food which we have one we'll move one farther down on the dungeon and now we have to resolve another plot card in dire need loud squealing Echoes off the cavern walls and the clearing you see a small pig-like man being cornered by a large gray serpent defend the pigment you dash to the rescue of the feeble creature but the serpent was a greater foe than you first thought and you are bitten badly before striking the Fatal blow to the reptile lose three health and gain a poison but move two up on the morality track that would put us up to four or just keep moving on you decide to leave the swine to defend itself as you creep away in the next uh passage you hear a loud scream followed by silence move down one on the morality track I think I'm doing okay so let's let's get hit for three damage let's go save that pigment we ate the last one so we're kind of feeling bad about that so three health and one poison but then we'll move up two on the morality track this means we already have five eyes for the Cyclops the Cyclops may only have one eye but he's already looking for us oh and we're at the end of a level so I need to pay a gold to Elise otherwise or IDs otherwise she'd leave us we'll start that level two by drawing at two cards flipping this one over it's a skirmish I don't really want to do a skirmish so let's do this one instead oh it's another clearing we're going to draw another plot card oh my God flying through them oh we've got the Alchemist in the clearing you find an old man wrapped in torn robes his eyes are covered with a rag before him on a sprawled out blanket or a mess of jars filled with various liquids a clay bowl with a single coin sits to one side with a sign that reads to leave a coin take a miracle do you want to buy a potion you drop a coin in the bowl and take a potion discard one gold take any one card from the potion deck and move up one on the morality track or Rob the blind man you rub your greedy hands together before absconding with some of the man's belongings move down one on the morality track gain one gold and a potion of your choice from the potion deck wow do I can I just do neither I don't really want a potion I don't really want to go down on the morality track we're just gonna we're gonna spend the gold I don't I need to increase my encumbrance uh level because that's part of my problem is I can't hold anything else so I'm not even gonna worry about the potion I'm gonna pay the gold so I can move up one on the morality track and this will be eye number six we're now up to four on the morality track look at us doing good things for everyone okay we'll flip this next one we have the Labyrinth I I only have one ration uh yeah let's spend it let's spend it I won't have a ration so if I uh get to the end and I haven't gained a ration I'm gonna lose three health still I don't know what is it on the other one I didn't want to deal with the Skirmish oh we have a merchant we have uh two loots and one potion that we can potentially Buy I'll flip them but I don't see us getting rid of anything oh that is a ration Loot and we have a mimic now I don't know how that works do we have to fight the mimic with the merchant I'm going to say that we can deal with this purchasing and then we have to fight the mimic that's why I'm going to uh say that we have to deal with it and a potion you may discard this card to dl2d6 damage plus five if it's weak versus fire now here's the deal the Cyclops is weak to fire he's got 22 health do I buy that looking at what I have I don't think so I don't think I'm gonna buy it I'm just going to discard the potion uh I'm gonna discard the ration because I'd have to discard something else to buy that and then I do think I have to deal with the mimic so the mimic is going to attack me you may avoid this conflict by spending one ration no I don't have any rations so yeah I'm just gonna have to have him attack us I believe he'll just be at six Health there isn't anything uh affecting his health so it'll just be at six he will deal us three and we'll roll that up oh my gosh four four plus three is seven damage we will reduce that damage with our iron helm by one so it's six then our divine plate subtract the level on the morality tracker which is four plus one which is five so five plus one is six and then IDs gives us a minus one we actually can block seven damage right now we are insane I didn't even realize that seven damage and we just blocked it wow okay so we'll spend one energy just roll one die sure let's do that we will roll one down we get to add plus one to this because of IDs so we'll give this a rule all we dealt two damage wait it's a roll of one I have the ice hack I get to re-roll that for free so I'll re-roll that's a five five plus the one is six the mimic is gone and well we don't get anything for taking them out but that is our third enemy we've defeated we'll draw our next two door cards let's flip this one it's an ambush do I just deal with it or I could use my magic ring we're still a ways out of completing this level let's do the Ambush let's fight something oh we've got a zombie and it's going to have two plus the level so that's four it's only four Health uh yeah we'll just spend one energy on that the only problem with spending all this energy we only have five energy remaining however we just need a three here okay we get a one re-roll on a one and it would be great if I rolled this into here okay that's a five we just took the zombie out our next two doors let's do this one and we have gain one poison now if I gained a poison I would have two and it would start festering so I don't want to do that so I'm going to discard this and we're just gonna have to deal with this if it's an ambush no it's a campsite so that is great because that means IDs will get us one ration and for us wait what do we need to do spend one ration again to health and lose one poison or spend one ration to gain three energy do we want to just no I think we're just gonna gain a ration just in case so we now have two rations okay let's see what are we doing next let's do this one oh we've got a skirmish I don't want to do a skirmish if I don't have to so let's flip this one oh we've got a mushroom Grove gain two more rations oh heck yeah that's four rations all right let's put this one here and this one here and I think we'll go through this door and that's a gain of gold Don't Mind If I Do that'll pay IDs so how many gold do we have now with that we have a total of four gold okay now I'm gonna grab both of these and then this will be our last two of this level and then we will have another plot card we'll flip this Skirmish I don't want to Skirmish we will flip this one Skirmish dang and the enemy will have plus four to their health so the dungeon level two plus four adds six to their health oh array six plus seven is thirteen Total Health 12 and One initial damage and counter strikes both steal one blessing well we don't have any blessings ha you can't steal them from me but The Wraith will attack us just remember we have seven uh reduction of damage The Wraith is attacking us for three uh plus four which is seven let me just make sure I've got that right we have four plus one five negation with our divine plate one with our iron Helm and one with IDs no damage I'm kind of thinking we just spend one energy at a time here because that way I don't overdo it because I I seem to be able to block most attacks so and we'll spend one energy roll this up that's at six plus one is seven damage The Wraith is down to six total health okay back to The Wraith The Wraith is dealing us three straight damage uh plus four that's seven we totally blocked that let's spend another energy and we'll roll one die oh and actually we dealt one more damage right because IDs gives us plus one damage so she is down to five and that means all we need to do is roll a four and we'll take them out that's a one we get to re-roll ones because we have our X and we get a three plus one day he's down to one not taken out so The Wraith will then attack us one more time for only one plus three is four our defense is seven so we're good and then we can just punch this thing in the face and we took this out and we'll get one Loot and one potion we have the antidote which I'm not going to keep I only have one a poison we also have the emerald discard Walt trading with the merchant to gain any one of his items that's cool probably won't but it doesn't have any encumbrance value so we can keep that I do think I'm going to use my flask quick and heal to health back just in case that will put us back to 14 Health we have now defeated five enemies so I'm going to spend the five enemies to gain this new skill and it can be any type now because I'm spending five at the beginning of each level roll a D6 to see what your bird finds because we have a Hawking now your bird locates nothing gain one gold or gain one ration we'll move to level three we'll spend another ration we will still have of three rations after this heck yeah okay and then we'll draw a plot card and before we read this I do need to give a coin to IDs so she stays with us definitely going to do that we now have the prisoner you find yourself in the threshold of a small Prison Room an orca guard is fast asleep at a table where a couple of gold coins rest the sole prisoner spots you and silently points to the keys on the table do you want to free the prisoner you slowly make your way towards the table but as you near it the orc wakes up a battle ensues and you are the Victor you free the prisoner and he runs off without even offering a thank you lose one energy and three Health move one up on the morality track and gain two gold in one treasure card okay or you dash through the room picking up coins as you pass the table the orc wakes up confused but you're long gone move down one in the morality track gain two gold and this has three eyes I'm thinking I mean if we pump up our morality to the highest level our defense is going to be eight because of that Divine plate so let's do the top we will have to lose an energy I only have two energy remaining so that's a little bit nerve-wracking uh three Health though we can spend three Health one two three we're down to eleven and then that is going to let us move up one on the morality track I'll gain two gold so I've got these two and we have a loot card and we have the Explorers map lose one less ration one at the Labyrinth now I'm just going to discard that can't hold it this does mean we are now at the highest spot on our morality track we can now start our third level of the dungeon the only thing I'm really worried about is our energy we have Labyrinth discard one ration I I can turn rations into enter G so I don't want to do that so let's do this one instead oh it's a skirmish so it's going to be an enemy and so its health will be four plus three seven higher are you serious we have the cave troll that's going to put us at a 15. and you know what you may avoid this conflict by spending three gold one two three I don't want to deal with the cave troll definitely not because that would be a really brutal battle I would lose all of my energy not worth it so I'll just discard them and I'll discard the Skirmish okay our next two let's flip this one oh a treasure gain a goal we got one of the gold back thank you that puts us back up to three and we will grab this and then our next two cards we will flip this one oh we have our Merchant let's definitely do the merchant as we've learned in the past you don't not do the merchant so we're at level three that'll be two loot cards so we either have the energy potion oh I want that maybe I'll get rid of the flask and the rations and then we hit two potions we have the ice Shard and we have the health potion okay I don't need the health potion I don't need the ice Shard I I mean I want the rations but I don't think I need them I do think I need the energy potion so I am going to uh sell my flask because I can still sell it which is sad I've had that for since the beginning to get a gold and then use that gold to buy this and then immediately discard this to gain to energy so I will go from having two energy to four energy it's a little bit better we might be able to survive an attack or two with the Cyclops oh we have an ambush as our next one you know I'm not going to do it I'm not going to do it because if this is an ambush I can just avoid it with my magic ring so I'll flip it no it's a skirmish okay it's going to add plus uh four five seven to the health on this one we have the undead Archer that means he's at 11 Health you may not defend against initial damage so we're just going to take whatever he attacks with we have our two dice we'll roll them up that's three damage plus two is five ow that puts us down to only six Health uh let's see we do get to attack now and we'll be able to defend going forward I'm thinking uh two two dice right now let's start with two dice two dice and we get to add one to this so four five six seven plus one is eight so that means it's down to three and now we defend for eight take that we defend for eight uh five and four is only one plus two he doesn't even hit us I think I'm just going to punch him and with IDs we would deal plus one so he's down to a one I'm not using energy he'll attack us again oh doubles he totally misses and then we'll just punch him again and the nice thing is we'll get one of the energy back because he does give us a and he'll give us a loot car which I'm likely just going to discard actually I can hold it oh it's a shield subtract one from both initial it's a three though no can't hold a three can't hold three and I'm not getting rid of other things so I'm just going to discard that bummer I would love that Shield we can continue to delve into the dungeon we'll draw two oh we have clearing should we just go to the boss yeah let's just go to the boss let's do the clearing the golden urn steps lead you up to the marble platform with four pillars in the center rests a large golden urn with the remains of a fallen monk offerings lay scattered about the base of the urn we can leave an offering you place an offering at the urn for every two loot potion or trapping cards you discard you gain one blessing move up one on the morality track who will miss this you rifle through the items left at the urn and you find something just right for you move down one of the morality track draw three loot cards and pick one and discard the rest when we're just about to fight the boss I'm not in the mood to reduce our morality so I think I'm going to discard these two items I'm getting rid of my magic ring I love it but if I discard both of these okay one uh blessing which is nice and I'll just stay at the five I don't think I can go any higher and that gives us the total of 10 eye symbols so now it's time for the boss fight so that means the Cyclops is coming and he States if the Cyclops deals three or more damage uh he breaks your primary weapon I should have paid attention to that wow this could be a quick fight of course before we fight him we get to reveal that one blessing token we just got and we gain one additional energy that means I have a total of four energy and I have six health our defense though is one from the iron Helm one from IDs so that's two our divine plate is six so our defense is eight he's attacking us for five if the Cyclops deals nine or more damage he breaks your weapon he's gonna have a hard time dealing nine or more damage let's roll the two dice up he deals two plus five is seven we totally blocked that we blocked that like nobody's business so let's spend three energy rolling three dice we get to add one to this attack thanks to IDs I actually think we'll be able to take him out 6 12 13 14 15 plus one more is 16 damage that will push him down to only six Health okay now we will let's see roll the two dice up for him four plus five is nine our defense is eight so we will take a damage we're down to five health first time he's nicked us we will then spend one energy in two health so that we can roll to dice okay the two health is because we have the berserk ability where we may spend two Health to add an additional die to your attack roll and we get to add plus one uh oh wow yeah he's done he's done and that my friends means we've completed level two now we could go to level three and level four but I'm running out of time so I think I'm gonna call it here I think scroll is incredibly powerful uh I think that maybe I should have played with some more of the detriments as well there are ways to make the game a lot higher harder environment cards afflictions uh and I will say a lot of it depends on those dice rolls and the randomness of the cards my two practice plays I didn't even beat the first boss uh but scroll and her starting ability can be really helpful with energy because a lot of times you're running out of energy we didn't have that problem as much I mean I was out right now but I I think I could have survived by spending my rations for energy I had three rations yeah anyways I hope I hope this was fun I hope it helped you see if this is something that might be for you you can see it's quick it's fun it can be really tense right now I do feel like I'm quite overpowered but who knows by the time I got to level four uh scroll might be getting annihilated anyways hope
