today we've got an exciting clash between the iPhone 15 and pixel 8 we've scrutinized every spec and feature to bring you this epic showdown which one should be your next smartphone starting off with the design the iPhone 15 has kept the design mostly the same making small improvements mainly rounding the edges of the phone to give a softer feel in the hand which makes a small difference aesthetically but a big difference in Comfort the colors are pastel which some people like and others find boring but the Frosted back glass is a great Improvement the frame is aluminium alloy it has corny gorilla glass front and back and the phone is also ip68 water and dust resistant so all the design elements of a premium flagship phone have definitely been covered in a similar way the pixel 8 also retains much of the same design language from the pixel 7 while making all the right improvements one thing that pixel devices have always received some criticism for was the build quality of their devices but the pixel 8 has addressed all these design issues and we have to say that the F Google have absolutely smashed it out of the park with the pixel 8 it feels premium in the hand with rounded aluminium rails a Corning Gorilla Glass victus front and back ip68 water resistant and also has some nice color options we like the design of both of these devices though the iPhone 15's design looks practically the same as the previous model the round edges make a big difference in comfort and the Frosted back looks premium the pixel 8 has definitely made more aesthetic changes than the iPhone but still retains the trademark look that we've come to love and expect from Pixel devices for these reasons it's not possible to choose one over the other and design gets a draw for more information on any of the products we have included links in the description that are also updated for the best prices moving on to the displays the iPhone 5 15 boast a 6.1 in super retina OLED panel that's the same size as last year's model but now we also see the inclusion of the dynamic Island the display is still a 60 HZ panel which is still not great considering that the standard refresh rate for a phone in this price category has been beyond 90 htz for a couple of years now however it's still an improvement and whilst this is definitely something that would bother most Android users the kind of person looking to buy an iPhone 15 won't be noticing this lack of refresh rate Apple didn't skip out on brightness though with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits you'll be sure to enjoy a bright and vibrant viewing experience the display is another place where the pixel 8 has made great improvements now the bezels are uniform all around and also thinner it's a 6.2 in OLED panel with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits which Google is calling an actual display fancy names aside it's a great looking panel and has 120 HZ refresh rate which is great to see the viewing experience on these displays are excellent with both devices focusing on color accuracy rather than oversaturation or exaggeration whether you're inside or enjoying the sun these panels will produce a satisfying viewing experience however we give the victory to the pixel 8 the 120 HZ of refresh rate is really what makes the difference talking batteries you get a 3,350 mAh battery on the iPhone and a 4575 mAh battery on the pixel both of these devices have good batteries nothing amazing but they will be able to get you through a full day's use without any issues however the battery on the iPhone does last a little longer in our tests you do get slightly faster charging on the pixel 8 but it's not a notable difference with both phones equipped with wireless and reverse wireless charging the iPhone 15 takes the battery section now let's talk about the big one cameras both the iPhone 15 and pixel 8 are rocking new camera Hardware with a 48 megapix Snapper for the iPhone and a 50 megap sensor for the pixel standard pictures from the main sensor look absolutely gorgeous on both of these devices with the iPhone taking slightly warmer and more vibrant shots and the pixel offering a greater dynamic range this is a bit subjective but we also prefer the iPhone on these shots both phones take great portrait shots with the pixel doing a slightly better job at cutting the picture from the background but when it comes to video there is a clear winner even though the pixel 8 has yet again improved a lot from last year's model and does a decent job at video capture and stability the iPhone 15 is just on another level where the pixel 8 does shine is in the camera app it's well organized fun and easy to use and gives you a host of different software toys to play with these software features work really well and are definitely fun to play with the pixel 8 has a great camera however we give the camera section to the iPhone because of its generally satisfying shots and overall performance finally let's get into the user experience the iPhone 15 receives 6 gigs of RAM and the a16 bionic chip which is a tried and tested Powerhouse whilst the pixel 8 has 8 gigs of RAM and receives the allnew tensor G3 chipset the iPhone will get 5 years of software and security updates and the pixel will get a whopping s years absolutely ridiculous both these devices do heat up if you use them for extended periods of time with the pixel 8 getting slightly hotter but it's nothing major the pixel 7 used to have some overheating issues and we are pleased to say that they have been dealt with on the pixel 8 the iPhone 15 gets USBC this year however still no fast charging or transfer speeds which is sad but we do like USBC the overall software experience is great on both phones with the Apple experience feeling smooth and well organized but also a bit boring not that it needs to be anything else we do like the vanilla Android experience on the pixel 8 though its smart AI Focus software does a great job and it's a joy to use the 120 HZ of refresh rate is also something that makes a big difference when scrolling through apps and web pages and things like voice typing call screening and web page summarizing give an extra layer of usability depending on what you like a phone to be these both deliver a great user experience and we couldn't pick a clear winner in this section let's talk price point the iPhone 15 starts at $7.99 we are glad to see that the price of the iPhone hasn't increased even with all the upgrades from last year's model and even though the pixel 8 is $100 more than the pixel 7 it's still the cheaper option at $6.99 All Things Considered these are two fantastic devices and you can't really go wrong with either of them it all depends on what you want but Apple and Google have brought out great standard models this year and if you're looking to upgrade we say go for it however we do need to choose a winner as Tech enthusiasts we give the victory to the pixel 8 it builds on the good form of recent years and produces a Fant fantastic user experience and for us the 120 HZ of refresh rate is essential on a flagship device starting at $699 it takes the W in this one that's it for this video tell us which one you got in the comments below if you like the content remember to smash the like button hit subscribe and ring the notifications Bell to stay up to dat
