Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
My takeaways: 1.) The steel frame does provide some noticeable protection for the 12 Pro even from hip height when falling on the edge. 2.) It is a real shame that Apple didn't put Ceramic Shield on the back as well. Especially with how expensive that is to repair! Maybe next year... 3.) The 12 seemed to be benefiting from its lower weight vs the 12 Pro by taking slightly less damage from the high drop on face/back.
I might just no case a phone in almost 10 years.
Probably going to go caseless, but I did order a bumper case since I liked that style “case” with my iPhone 4.
Guess I’ll be bold and try the no case life. I like it so far today lol. Might eventually get a skin though, cause of the fingerprints.
Really impressed with the overall durability. Unless you drop your phone off a ladder onto a hard floor you'll probably be okay.
Imagine if Apple recorded and upload their own stress test so reviewers don't have to break phones everytime. Would be cool but never gonna happen
I think the combination of display and display glass is the biggest jump from (Regular) iPhone 11 to 12.
With my luck it would break the first time I drop it.
I hate these videos so, so much.
