'Iolani School's The Sound of Musicals - December 12, 2015

[Applause] [Music] a packed house tonight to the sound of musicals thank you for being here so this evening we're expanding we're going all the time you'll see 101 of Elon E's best and brightest young musical theater performers these students are in grades 6 through 12 and each of them is in a musical theater class at school so we're working on singing we're working on dancing we're working on acting we have a really wonderful program for you this evening some things that will be very familiar and hopefully some new musical theater classics for you as well I asked before we start that you please turn off your cellphone's silenced ringers or anything else that you might have that could make noise I also ask that you refrain from flash photography as with the stage lights and a dark stage it can be dangerous to our performers to have a bright light in their face so and so you know this evening's performance is being recorded and will be available a link will be made available for cat [Music] I'm a part of that I'm a part that next day it's just like it never happened we're making dinners we're making plans then he gets on the mule train to jamie land handful after handful of Doritos circling the apartment [Music] [Music] [Laughter] I'm a I'm a part that and it's true I tend to follow his try instead of side by side I take it [Music] there's no doubt [Music] and nothing you are when I was five I remember my mother dug earrings out of the car I knew that they weren't hers but it wasn't something you'd want to discuss he was informed well not well [Music] but everything was beautiful [Music] a grateful man lovely girls in wha yes everything was beautiful at the ballet hey I was the valet up a steep and very narrow stairway to the boys take a metronome of a Stephen very narrow stairway was in paradise it wasn't paradise it wasn't paradise but it was mother always said I'd be very attractive when I grew up when I grew up different to send with a special something at a very very personal oh I was eight or nine oh I was eight or nine though I was eight or nine I hated now different is nice but it sure isn't pretty pretty is what it's about I never met anyone who was different who can figure that out [Music] every Prince [Music] I mean I was important to save their marriage but when my father came to pick my mother up from the hospital he said Wow I thought this is going to help but I guess not anyway I did have a fantastic fantasy life I used to dance around the living room my arms up like this my time to see was that it was an Indian chief and he'd say to me Maggie do you wanna dance and I say daddy I would love to test [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] beautiful at the ballet I was pretty I was happy I would love to [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I start extracting [Music] Oh cuz I'm dead si si [Applause] [Music] six squish squish [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] and he did so I took the shotgun off the wall and I fired into his head I go to work then I found out singl he told me sickle my ass not only was very Oh No drink as usual you know some guys just can't hold their arsenic [Music] in storms my husband Wilbur in a jealous rage he screams that you've been seeing the milkman he was crazy he just kept screaming you've been seeing the milkman [Music] [Music] [Music] and ice so I might come back open the door and there's Veronica and Charlie doing number 17 the spread-eagle well I was in such a state of shock I completely blacked out I can't remember a thing it wasn't until later when I was washing the blood off my hands I even knew they were dead [Music] more than I could possibly say he was a real artistic guy sensitive a painter but he was always trying to find himself he got every night looking for himself and on the way he found Ruth Gladys rosemary and Irving I guess I would say we broke up because of artistic differences he saw himself is alive and I saw him dead [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] like [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] how can I gain 20 pounds [Music] [Music] [Music]
