and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman. All right. Do you have photos or videos that might prove helpful tonight? Fire investigators are asking for your help to figure out the cause of last week's massive fire in Redwood City. They're hoping that you may have caught something on camera that could be a clue. Flames destroyed most of that housing project that was under construction. The question is why? NBC Bay Area's Jocelyn Moran joins me now in the studio with what we know. Yeah, Jess, they are asking for photos, videos the public may have from last Monday. They say having those can help them determine the cause of it. Meanwhile it has not been an easy week for people living nearby. One resident telling us the smell of smoke is still prominent inside his home. Neighbors gave me some of this to help out. I salvaged this to rebuild this side. It's been more than a week since a massive fire destroyed this affordable housing project in Redwood City. It came close to several homes, including James Smith's. He's cleaned up his backyard, but is still dealing with the aftermath like the smell of smoke. We haven't come back yet because my wife and son have asthma. They come in, their chest feels tight. It's like, all right, we're just going to have to wait until they clean the house. I had to go to the VA hospital for smoke inhalation. You know, on top of that, I was looking at the ring camera. It was kind of hard to watch because my wife was just in this panic. Then they had like dryer vents next to it and you could see it. Then it starts coming out of the dryer vent. Then another window, then a dryer vent, then another window. Now it's coming out of the floor, behind it window, then that dryer vent, it just kind of did this zigzag like up and across and it wasn't too long before then flames were just shooting out. James wife took this photo at 10:32 a.m. You can see James looking up at the smoke while holding a hose. I just started saturating these houses. Investigators continued to look into the cause of the fire. The Menlo Park Firefighters Association took to social media today, asking for the public's help. They're looking for photos and videos from the early stages of the fire investigation. We want to have as many facts as possible so that we can put together an accurate timeline. Meanwhile, James is hoping to see more response from the county. We just want to see the county out here. We just want to know that they care and we haven't seen anyone other than like these fliers they put up with tape. All right, so if you have any
