Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
This is an alright video, though it does take some unfortunate shortcuts.
For one, Proudhon's critique of "communism" was essentially aimed at pre-Marxist conceptions of the term, since he died before Marx's work became widely known. What he argued against was what Marx himself would refer to as "vulgar communism", a form of anti-individualist socialism in which the individual is strictly a subject of the commune, akin to religious orders. Later conceptions of communism put a much larger emphasis on individual freedom.
Similarly, the presentation of the different approaches to property rights lacks nuance and is prone to giving less knowledgeable people the wrong impression. Especially since you can't directly compare different socialist approaches without explaining in which ways they define property differently. Saying that ancoms wish to abolish all property is very misleading, for example.
Actually now that I'm thinking about it the way the video presents marxism is also too rushed. There's just no way to give an accurate outline of the ideological split in such a short format. It ends up doing a disservice to both sides.
