Hey Youtube Coppersan here. Well well well, the cat is out of the bag Today at maplesea we got our first glimpse of why the Sol Erda cap was introduced in the first place. Nexon is introducing a Sol erda booster! For those of you that missed the discussions that the maplestory community had on Saturday. Nexon is limited how fast we can progress with the 6th job advancement. By limiting the amount of Sol Erda energy we can farm each day. This means that if you miss a day of capping there is no way for you to get those missed items back through grinding. And people smarter than me did the math. And with the 4 new skills that are releasing, it will take about 2 years to max them out. And new 6th job skills are releasing every 6 months or so. We all know we're playing maplestory for the long haul, and i dont think anyone has any issues with not maxing out everything on day one. No one expected that. But this artificial limit that was put in place. Together with making other resources that are needed to upgrade skills untradable in the regular server. That was enough to cause a huge amount of angry complaints from the maplestory community. So today the reason why this cap was put in place was revealed. To sell us maplers a solution. Introducing the Sol erda booster! With this item players can get additional daily sol erda energy and sol erda fragments. And every 6 days players can get 2 sol erda or 20 sol erda fragments. The daily rewards are either 200 sol energy or 4 sol erdra fragments. So not only can you pay monthly, because this booster only lasts 30 days, you still cannot farm as much as you'd like and are capped by playing between 30 minutes and 1 hour a day. And instead of it taking 2 years to max out your four first 6th job skills, it will now only take what? A year and a half? And that all for the cheap price of about 25 usd. Every month. One of the appeals of maplestory is that your progress has never been limited by how much time you put in. But it looks like this is about to change. This has to be, by far, the most rediculous thing nexon has ever done. And it hasnt only killed the hype for 6th job, it also removes any trust that the game is heading in a better direction. Instead of creating an awesome game and gaming experience. Nexon is out to create design issues and artificially limit your progress so it can sell you the solution. Again make sure that your feedback is heard on the maplestory socials, nexon is adding this item to maplesea, but clearly it intends to release it in maplestory global and potentially otherh regions as well.
