[Applause] here we go I got a youngster man trying to let him know about Stevie Ray hey what is going down World Welcome to The 40-Year-Old FUQ boy podcast I go by the name black Pegasus and I got a very special guest in the house the one and only Andy rule what's up man what's up not only not only welcome to 2024 you're the first guest on the show from 2024 but he's actually just turned 24 D I did on the fifth yeah we're still a baby though I'm G be a baby for a little bit longer that is crazy now anyways anyways you guys so now um he's a reoccurring guest we've done a bunch of fun reactions on the channel together but uh he is a classically trained pianist MH he is a rapper a singer a producer a engineer and a and a a musician just in general right yeah and uh he works in the studio and uh I just think it's fun to get a perspective of the youth right and with something like Stevie rayon as you guys know I just got hip to him he's like one of the illest guitar players of all time um arguably number one or top five dead or alive so um I wanted you to check this out I see what you think I love it I I feel like there's so much that I've made it's weird being 24 because I feel like there was so much music culture like in the couple decades before I was born that I just completely missed out on so it's cool that I'm you know you're showing me all this stuff you know like Iron Maiden and just all the old school stuff Johnny Cash and stuff so I'm like this is really cool I like getting to learn more of like music history and where the music that I like nowadays comes from and it comes from people like Stevie Ron and Jimmy Hendrick and all stuff you know Bob Marley you you know what's it funny of you saying that though is like I grew up in a house where I you know we listen to a little bit of Soul music mostly but like I grew up my parents played Christian musicc wiins Carmen DC Talk so I was just thinking like I missed out on a lot of the stuff so now you're having to catch up yeah so like I just found out about Stevie Ray last year so that's crazy but hey you got to put put people on and just have fun with it and learn and open your mind to new things so that's what we're doing he has played that guitar oh my gosh guys it's not up on there but yeah that guitar is beat nice like share comment subscribe Let's Get It Started 40 The Boys Are Back In Town 40y old boys back in town The Boys Are Back In Town 40-year-old FUQ boys podcast malt liquor for your ears 40 all right y'all let me get this logo down and pull the video up don't forget support the original content on the channel um I'm going to tag him in this title uh he just dropped a new album did to be human did yep yep and um you know sometimes I don't know how far you guys go down these reaction rabbit holes but I think it's fun to do your homework on the people that are reacting to these things right and so you're like oh you get to hear what they think of Stevie rayon Johnny Cash from like your Viewpoint being younger but then they also get to go hear your music and be like wow that's kind of you know what I'm saying see the connection there and there and there's like extreme differences too so y'all been supporting like crazy like crazy it's like dope I like it hell yeah well let's get into this you guys um boombay this is Stevie rayon Voodoo Child um live from uh I'm going to say Austin T oh Austin Texas I was like yo all right let's get it I'm I'm bring it back to you know you start playing you know H can't miss nothing like he like percussive [Music] [Applause] I think one of the reason I think one of the reasons that people get so like upset about the new music nowadays is cuz I feel like just the emphasis on music theory and Technical ability is so like no one like really cares about it nearly as much as they did at this time I mean these dudes are like Legends and they're just so talented and they you don't see like almost any of it anymore and if there is some of it out there it's like not in the mainstream it's not very big it's not well respected anymore and it makes it is kind of sad lowkey because it's like man stuff like this is just like so cool to hear and it's just like where is the talent like this you know he's going crazy you ain't lying about [Music] [Applause] that down standing next to Mountain CH it down with [Music] standing jumping down with my all the pie next some better cuz I'm a child got knows I'm my child I don't you notic that when he was playing the when he was singing he was playing the melody on the guitar too I don't know if you ever noticed that but that's I mean he was doing that kind of like when we were reacting to renan he he was like going back and forth where he was like the guitar player was mimicking him after he said well he's doing it at the same time so he's playing and singing it at the same time it's really cool like the melody on the guitar was really cool yeah he might do it again here when he gets back on the mic but yeah yeah that's wild um it's it's crazy because as I'm watching this they're doing a closeup and his fingers were like going all into the strings in like ways that I was just like yeah doing the guitar bends and stuff and I wish I was a guitar player so I could really appreciate and understand exactly what he's doing like he's messing with the knobs on there and stuff so I'm like wow that's crazy and the pedals he's doing a lot with the pedal board below you can't see it in the frame but um but right in front of his feet there's a pedal board so that's why when he let go he's like doing you hear it's like that he's on a pedal board on there um which is just effects and stuff like that so um yeah you know what's interesting in the comments you guys because I try to read them when you guys aren't hating you know what I'm saying uh but uh someone was saying that when you see people cover Hendrick like I guess there's certain rock rock or people guitarists who are actually scared to cover Hendrick yeah cuz it's such like a feat to do so I don't know if that to be true but I did see that in one of the comments were like yo a lot of PE a lot of these guitarists are scared to cover hendri and so when you see someone like this and killing it crushing it yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I don't know if it's true or not it's just comment talk oh [Music] I didn't mean to Wi on your give it back to you each and every [Music] day I didn't needan to take a for you sweet give it back to you each and every day if I don't see it in this world the next don't be L don't be L CU I'm a child God knows I'm a food child [Music] a [Music] [Music] incredible what's that I was just saying that's incredible just like what he's that's insane I've never seen people people play maybe I just need to do my homework on Jimmy H Hendrick too cuz like this guitar playing is ridiculous I don't think I've ever seen something like this yeah yeah yeah you know what I noticed and I don't you know I don't I I never followed Rock I just kind of opened my mind to you know checking out rock and Country you know this last year on YouTube and I really love it and the one thing I noticed that I appreciate about rock bands especially like let's say Metallica from what I've seen from them and then even some of the classic rock they take time to do all this instrumental instrumental play that I'm just not used to maybe it's because the modern era they're so focused on playing their hits and stuff like that I'm not talking about rock I'm just talking about what I've been exposed to musically I've seen bands on stage they sing their tracks They got a little this but them taking these long moments to have these crazy guitar solos and just like I'm like what is this you know and I don't know if maybe it's just what I was exposed to and maybe there are tons of of Pop groups that do stuff like that I know but I haven't seen that and um you know this is just really cool you know I enjoy it like think about think about what we're watching we're watching this think about how much singing you've heard yeah right it was like maybe eight bars maybe and he's just singing minutes in so dude I'm just not used to it but I I I really enjoy it so yeah [Music] a I could be I could be wrong but on the production side of things I think it's really I don't think like the earpieces that they had at this time were nearly where you could hear all the band members in a click track and everything I don't think that was a thing at this time I'm not I'm not 100% sure but I don't see them wearing anything and the thing that made me say that is I'm was watching the bass player kind of in the background right here really really focusing in on what he's doing like looking at Ste Ray Von and stuff and even with the drummer the way he's playing it kind of has like an ear out so it seems like they're paying really extra close it's almost like they have to pay extra close attention to where everybody is in the song and the tempo and everything like that um if you like even if you go back like 10 15 seconds you can kind of watch they're all really paying really close attention to each other and like almost having to communicate in a certain way with each other and I think it's because at this time period you didn't have like the Click tracks in your ears and then and able to hear all the instruments and stuff like you do now you just I just don't think that technology was there or was not nearly as advanced as it is now you know that's interesting you picked up on that cuz I saw the dude but I didn't put that together because yeah what you're saying is they're following his lead and he's he's leading the whole thing with this crazy solo whatever you want to call this yeah that's wild cuz yeah everyone even in rap we use in ear so you can so you can kind of track what's going on on stage I just don't think that I mean again I could be wrong but I'm 99% sure like that was not a thing yeah at this time I could see that [Music] oh w [Music] w [Applause] there was some sort of queue there too cuz he kind of went off the tempo obviously and again there's no click tracks or anything and I was just thinking about when the drummer came back in he had to have had some sort of queue and they were practicing like hey when I do this Bend or something like that start that fill up again so that was really it's kind of insane the communication between the band and what you need to be able to pull off something like this live Teamwork Makes it and they ended right on here yeah that that tells you about the band too because sometimes the front man will get so much because he's just so good but you know to take it to that level man it's everyone everyone's involved they're all listening very closely to each other about where they are in the song but yeah no his playing in general is just insane I mean that is ridiculous I the you guys tap in with us let let us know what you think um I kind of want to put him in front of this Eddie Van Halen uh uh eruption guitar solo that I just saw for the first time I don't even know if it's on my page yet I was like bro it's bro bro these dudes man that I don't even know what to say like it's so weird for meting like ites you're 24 so you're getting oh cool I'm learning the history of this music for me being 43 be like y like it's just interesting but anyways I'm here for it you guys if you enjoy these you know tap in you know what the moniker is I do these reactions because you guys show up for it um but if you guys stop showing up I'll just watch the at my crib on YouTube on my own TV so you guys show up and I I'll keep showing out um like share
