right hey everybody we've got sunny from pod on the show today and he's going to talk about the upcoming tour uh pod's 20th anniversary of satellite and a whole bunch of other great stuff so sonny welcome to the show thanks for having me man absolutely absolutely so what have you been up to um when yeah that whole void that we're trying to emerge from right now now or that black hole of a year and a half yeah uh i i mean i've been home you know obviously uh when we first found out that we would be quarantined in our houses and stuff like that i would i welcomed it you know what i mean that's like we toured so much uh it was nice to be able to just be home with my family and stuff but you know once the two months pass and then three months pass and things still look look a little bleak and you know you start to worry about if you know the industry is ever going to get backing up you know up and going and because this is how we make money you know what i mean nobody buys records like we're we're touring blue-collar hard-working bands so this is how we feed our family so you know it was kind of scary but i tried not to go down the rabbit hole of things and stay creative with doing uh some solo music right there in my house um and then going back and forth with marcos uh pod's guitar player and just kind of going over ideas and trying to put together some pod music but but all along it's staying busy knowing that this would be our 20th anniversary of satellite and we would be busy once things uh got up and running yeah well geez you're not kidding there it really it seems like just about everybody's announcing a tour right now some of them are for next year but there's an awful lot kicking off uh imminently here some now and some over the course of the next probably 30 or 60 days or so yeah you guys are right in the mix yes we're trying man yeah um and good news for that too right because this is you know you can celebrate uh any album i guess anytime you want but this is truly the anniversary of the satellite album um which is definitely uh worthy of looking back on oh thanks man yeah it's uh it's our biggest album to date you know i mean 20 years has flown by just like that but um yeah we like i said we had already planned on celebrating it and going around the world on this record um and then once coveted hit then just delayed our plans but we we plan to finish out the year even into next year you know once europe and asia and stuff opens up uh we we just plan on having as much fun as we possibly can on this tour and and in the meantime drop a new record as well okay all right so you've got about 60 days worth of uh a tour here right late summer yeah um you're kicking off august 13th in minnesota yeah running through uh october 17th in uh in san diego's where this leg is going to close out it looks like yeah yeah solid tour man yeah no no question about it you're bringing along uh from ashes to new yeah love those guys all good things and sleep signals yeah yeah so all these uh i mean i just didn't have been around before we've we've taken them out before but uh all good things and sleep signals are just up and coming bands you know they're awesome and they're getting their feet wet out there on the road so it's nice to have them yeah i wish you guys were coming through town here that's a bill i'd really like to uh to catch yeah but maybe we see another leg of that are you guys going to take this into next year at all i mean yeah definitely taking the next year um and hoping that things overseas you know open up but uh this is just the beginning i know you know it's kind of a test ground for everything you know everything is still kind of wishy-washy and you know are they gonna shut it down are they gonna go back to certain restrictions so we're just getting through this um and i'm sure we're going to do some try out stuff throughout the holidays but hopefully in january we'll be taking it overseas and coming back to the states as well yeah well you you had mentioned in the middle of this and i don't want to leave it you know in just in passing uh you mentioned uh you know hopefully new album coming out fairly soon as well yeah yeah we're writing stuff um i mean we i know a lot of bands wrote during the whole covet and being home but uh i mean we're a band's band do we get together in a room look at each other and jam you know most bands these days are with technology or are sending mp3 files over you know what i mean a bass riff or a guitar riff you know i mean they can add drums and vocals and then boom your album's done uh world school that's not how we work so we need to be together so you know it kind of hinders the creativity process a little bit but i mean the ideas are there all it takes is us just you know getting together like now on this tour we're going to sit with each other be able to go over stuff and then we'll be able to bang out a record no problem nice yeah you guys have been pretty active on that front for the last several years really you put out you put out a ton of material yeah we we i mean it's it's sometimes you're like hey how is how does the industry work these days you know what i mean is it like what do you do who's buying records is it just going up um you know on streaming but i guess it's just it's just content these days i mean but lucky for us we have we have a loyal fan base that actually cares um about our music you know i mean they're not it's not just a gloss over on spotify or something like that you know what i mean they're actually listening to what we have to say they're listening to the dynamics of the music um and so we we keep it up for them we're not trying to you know we're not trying to grab anybody or whatever you know some 14 year old kid that thinks he knows everything about music cool if they like beauty that's that's amazing but you know it's it's our loyal fan base that are now passing it on to their own kids and bringing their own kids to our shows and stuff like that so we're we're grateful for a fan base yeah well so let's let's talk about that a little bit too um so 20th anniversary of satellite um man it that's a tough one to say really too uh that came out when i was in college um yeah man and like millions of other people i mean i banged the hell out of that record absolutely i say record that no that was like that's the height of it yeah yeah kind of buying cds still mp3 whatever um but uh but really um what what a big moment that was and you know i got to imagine you know that that that kind of hits you now and again over the years too but um you know with uh with this kind of as a celebratory sort of tour right um yeah you know is there is there a little more kind of introspection as far as like what what happened when that album dropped and just exploded because i i vividly remember that happening yeah we i mean we we had done things independently for you know seven eight years once we finally signed to a major label atlantic records we released our first album off of them uh the fundamental elements of south town and then we worked our butts off on that that that album went platinum without radio you know i mean it was all just fan base calling into mtv trl before you know internet and all that stuff they were calling in and saying this is my band i want to see their video and so we did well on that album and so we went into the the satellite process uh not with pressure just more gratefulness like do we man we actually we put a record out on the major label it went platinum this is huge you know we're working our butts off um so when we jumped in the recording process of satellite it was just uh you know we wanted to try some different things you know sing a little bit more be a little bit more uh universal with the message you know what i mean just uh it wasn't for like our die hard fans it was like hey this is here we are and so at that time in doing that um you know live was number one on mtv videos trl uh i think it was top five in on the rock radio um and it was released on 9 11 which was crazy you know yeah right so um you know i mean we had all our plans and everything i do but once 911 hit and we woke up to the news it was like it's not that the music didn't matter it's just uh what was going on around us was what was most important but for us you know obviously when things settled was that we were just grateful to be a band that actually had something to say you know i mean and cared about people and and we've always hoped that our music was inspirational not just uh look at me rock and roll on the stage you know be my worship me you're my fan it's never been like that for us ever you know so yeah so to have a song like alive you know number one at radio um on a day like 911 was just pretty incredible yeah that's wild and then uh and to follow that up with uh youth in the nation yeah i mean that that's an anthem if ever yeah you know yeah it's more relevant uh 20 years later man you know what i mean because we're still asking the same question you know what's going on with the world what's you know all the stuff that our our kids you know and young people have to go through it's it's a constant thing man yeah yeah and and and yeah you know as a direct result of that i got to imagine um that's that's probably been a fun conversation with with a lot of of of fans of yours over the years that have connected you know for various reasons with uh with tunes like that right oh yeah for sure man i mean there's a story behind that as well you know we've always been you know just being a underground kind of touring band you know we've been through the columbines and stuff like that you know i mean we were we were hands on with the kids even in that town you know when that was going on so it's always kind of been um around us sort of say and then when we were writing for for the satellite album we were literally two blocks away from santee high school in our own hometown and we walked outside for a little coffee break and you know the sirens are going off the helicopters you know there's this chaos and so we go back into the rehearsal studio turn on the news and then we're you know in real time was the santee high school shooting so here we are supposed to write a record we're just like what is going on this is our hometown you know this is this is not it's never ending you know what's what's up with these kids and we're literally just sitting there you know we rented out this whole studio we got to write a record and that's when the birth of euthanasia started was because here we are sad you know you can you can hear it in the guitar riff you know just everything you can hear it and we just knew at that point that that song you know when i was going to write the lyrics it was going to be about young people and everything that they're they're going to you know so there's like you said there's a lot of anthems on that record it wasn't really set out to be this serious thing it just you know we it just happens as you it's alive you know when you when you're writing and stuff it's just it's living while you're doing it so um you know to have that kind of success on album just it meant a lot oh that's fantastic that's fantastic yeah i mean that that was such an easy connect and like i said just sort of you know for me at least it sort of came out of nowhere right um like he said album before which is like 99 right yeah yeah um south towns was a big song i remember hearing that but then this thing dropped and it was just like it was funny because i had three roommates at the time in college and it was just like i'm usually the one playing my music the loudest but uh but the other guy was the one that was like oh my god this is insane he was just cranking i'm like honey you need to turn on my stereo this is awesome yeah that's awesome i'm good and i like what i'm hearing which was fun that's really cool man that's really cool well you know i i definitely i hope uh there's a little more to that tour maybe in 2022 whether it's a continuation um of the satellite or whether it's behind a new album yeah love to see you guys again yeah yeah no we'll be coming through man uh that was that was the whole plan from the beginning was to celebrate this record so he got pushed back a little bit but that's okay you know so we're just ready to go we're excited about doing it um from front to back is always is always fun yeah oh absolutely no that's super cool um i saw you guys for the first time in a long time a few years ago um you were on a bill with i believe it was in this moment um new year's day and dead yeah yeah right yep you guys that's right uh you guys played like niagara falls that was closest one to me so i came through there okay it was it was snowing i remember going out i was freezing yeah it was because it was like february yeah it was it was very cool man that was uh that was really cool because you know like here's you know a few newer bands that uh you know i've seen a little bit here and there and then see you guys on the bills like oh my god this is every bit as good as i was looking for um and i mean that sincerely that was a great great show um and really just kind of pulled me right back and i was like oh my gosh you know a lot a lot of bands come and go um and then you see uh you see like you said right blue collar band really just yeah working together and and that's the thing too um that's kind of rare right especially for a band of this generation um you're this far on and uh really you got the same lineup it's been pretty good and right now you've still got the core of that band that's been there from pretty much the beginning yeah yeah we've all since our teenage years and we're getting up there man yeah almost almost 30 years of playing you know what i mean but uh we're still having fun i mean we go through all the ups and downs like every other band but we've made decisions in our career you know whether it was to jump off a label or you know not sell out here or there you know what i mean we like i said we didn't we didn't start this ban because we had these hollywood rock and roll dreams it was like we're just kids from the neighborhood you know music had a big part um in keeping us out of trouble you know i mean it had a it was just a passion of ours you know i mean it was a way for us to express ourselves and we never thought we'd leave san diego so everything to this point is just a cherry on top you know i mean leaving san diego signing to a label touring you know going overseas this is you know really is a dream come true that none of us expected and so again we've made some a lot of mistakes you know we had some there was a little bit of change up there for a couple albums just because we were just you know guys from the neighborhood trying to figure out this rock and roll game you know eagles and you know communication gets messed up and it's just it's part of living but here we are now um just more appreciative of you know the fact we've been around for so long we can still do this uh you know we don't have to be one of those bands that keep striving for radio it's like we have a loyal fan base that no matter where we tour there's there's people there and we it trips us out every time because it's such a fickle industry you know what i mean it's such a especially with social media now and all this stuff is such a different kind of celebrity and fame and everybody's on their phones and we just yeah we just like playing music that's awesome that's great and you've got uh you got some some big shows coming up here too right you got um oh yeah and correct me if i if i missed one on here but i know in september you guys are gonna be at the uh blue rage rock festival right yeah yeah big festival show right there which is really cool um and those are neat and like that's cool for for discovering a new artist but but as i was talking about a few minutes ago it's also cool because you're going to see you're going to see or a ton of people are going to see you maybe they wouldn't have gone to a headline right right maybe they wouldn't have gone and actually bought a ticket but they're going to be like oh my god remember pod and then holy heck you know this this baby yeah yeah absolutely you know they're killing it um which sure cool experience and that's something i love about festivals every year yeah you get to experience a little bit of everything and that's why we love touring and opening up for for other bands too is more uh to just kind of not not take their audience but it's just more like we've been around we've been doing this we've we've played with some you know with non-rock and roll bands i mean for years we play with everybody because we're kind of a mixture of everything and so the hope is that you you know you capture somebody's attention and they're like i'm gonna go check these guys out you know the downside of that is that you know sometimes people just want to go to those big three-day shows or you know what i mean instead of experiencing that that old vintage rock and roll club you know sweat on the walls shoulder to shoulder and that's that's where we're at you know i mean that's the stuff we love and we love the big stages um but it just the crowds seem so far away you know whereas these cool clubs you're like dude you're looking into people's faces you know i mean that you could touch people you can get in there and so it's and that's just the that's the school that we come from yeah oh no absolutely in fact i got i got a photo of you from from uh the last time you were here uh like in in the crowd like yeah like right in the crowd actually one of my favorite ones from the entire night actually was really cool especially that theater that you guys were yeah uh makes for a nice backdrop too so yeah he he's not kidding when he says he wants to get it and everything like that um and everything that comes with it so for sure man you know absolutely right um and what's cool with that too is is that you you sort of like cross-pollinate the fan base right like you know there's there's i guess there's two ways to go about it you can have a bill where like every band is really on the same channel you know and i guess that's fine um or you really mix it up a little bit and no for sure you know like you you take in some of their fans maybe some of yours experience oh yeah it's different too you know and that that can be a lot of fun and and i think that last the score i was mentioning is is probably kind of fits that bill right you know yeah we jumped on there for sure yeah yeah we had made friends with um in this moment i think on like uproar or something and um and they're awesome uh and we love those guys and so we knew you know they had more of a kind of a gothic e you know i mean kind of kind of a metal crowd um a lot of females as well and so you know and when we took that tour just knowing you know what this is different i mean we got asked at one time i think it was like a seven dust um godsmack tour and then we got asked by icp and we went on the icp tour which we knew the god specter would be you know probably half arenas um but because it's icp we're like this is more that underground kind of crazy following that you know we had already we had already kind of won them over before on some some other stuff you know some other shows but it was like that's that's just kind of where our hearts and heads are at you know what it means like you can play the same kind of rock shows again um or you can go after those ones that are like i mean a lot of those the juggalos at first they're like i hate these guys i don't they don't like anybody but icp and then but then you get on there and you're like all right i like these guys you know what i mean and we we take it as a challenge yeah that's right that's right that's that's really cool that's really cool to kind of hear what what goes into that and especially you know when when you look at those those different options right you could kind of go either way um and uh you know what you can get on one of them and the other one yeah definitely more of a challenge right yeah yeah we keep it exciting so would that would that have been or or i guess my next question uh to ask you would be what what do you think was probably the wildest touring package that you guys have taken part in over your career oh man i mean yeah that was wild just because uh the juggles definitely are a whole different kind of uh loyal fan base you know what i mean so you have to win them over but um i mean nothing too crazy you know dude a lot of these times you used to say this even like with odds fest and all this stuff they present kind of this sex drugs rock and roll you know gargoyles and evil and all this stuff and then you get behind stage disney all these guys are [ __ ] cats you know what i mean they're sitting over there you know all vegans and eating figs and berries and and you know they're 120 pounds soaking wet you know what i mean but on stage they're monsters you know and you're like and we're guys from the street and we're just like okay how do we approach this you know all your perceptions of what you think is going on but you know you get back there and you got these guys with life coaches a lot of them are trying to you know they're staying sober or you know what i mean they're into yoga they're doing all kinds of stuff and you're like this is a whole different world and which i i don't i mean i'm not gonna sit there and say it's fake it's just they're selling something that they're not even doing themselves you know i mean or they did and they realized that okay this stuff ruined my life but yet they'll still get up there and and preach this lifestyle that's killing them and they have to and they're in recovery you know what i mean they're trying to do they're trying to live they're trying to live out the rest of their lives so that i don't really care for because because we come from that school where dude you're just down ready to die for for what you believe in you know what it is and so and i know a lot of fans don't like to hear this but i say a lot of time it's like i'm not i'm not your entertainer you know i'm not i'm not i never jumped in this for entertainment i know it is entertainment but this this has always been a lifestyle for us the bands that we grew up listening to or we followed had something to say and we supported that it's more of a movement you know and then when when i came to faith it was just like man i now we really do have something to say and so that was like let's just go out not ever thinking we'd leave san diego you know we got a bigger platform and that was amazing but i always think like i don't even know if we were ever supposed to go mainstream to some degree because we were just that band that was grinding man underground forever forever forever and then uh but because we had such a loyal fan base that was so vocal and was like this is my band you know that's the reason why atlantic records signed us because you know uh our a r came and saw us at wall lake michigan and there's a thousand kids on a wednesday night and when he sat with us he's like i got platinum selling artists that can't even pack out a bar you know so it was just we were just that kind of band and so here we are now just you know we're still pod man we you know we haven't changed you know we've gotten older clothes a little less baggy you know what i'm saying but right we haven't gone through all the trends you know what i mean like everybody rock and roll says you know now where everybody wears makeup let's let's look a little bit more feminine again let's uh you know let's wear the leather let's get this it's we can't do it yeah we just it's it's a lifestyle for us well there's something to be said for authenticity that's for sure and it goes on it goes unheard sometimes and it goes you know unseen sometimes but that's you kind of count the cost and you're like you know what it is what it is yeah well and you know something you said a minute ago too really um you know strikes a chord which is like you know you you've got an artist kind of preaching a lifestyle on stage that they're not even following themselves and i think that the danger there is that a lot of fans especially you know younger ones that are going to be more impressionable they don't know the difference right no i mean that's like you know it's no different than you know than a movie right what's real what's and again i don't think the word is fake i think you know you can channel that you can yeah yeah your outlet and all of that's okay um but i do think that that that does present a bit of a challenge for people that might not be able to differentiate that yeah i mean i just think as human beings not necessarily even musicians we just we have a responsibility you know to to whoever we come in contact not that we're the burden of you know we're not responsible for anybody's choices or decisions but you still have a you have a say in a lot of things you know whether it's um you know whether it's direct or it's indirect and so but music come on people are listening to what you're saying they're watching what you're doing and now with social media you know you have these influence influencers and all this stuff you're like this guy's never even left this house and he's got 8 billion followers like you know for farting on his phone you know like what and you're gonna listen to this guy and what he has to say right so it's just we live in a crazy crazy time nobody's looking at their resume nobody's doing their research um you know and it's everything is based off of feelings and emotions you know what i mean and that can get you into some a lot of problems you know if there's no truth behind it then what do you what are you seeking for it's just this kind of temporary vanity and um you know whatever the goods that the world's selling you and so we've we've always kind of been a band that said dude don't don't fall for the fool's gold you know no no yeah that's that's right i think that's uh that's a great message for sure yeah um but uh oh man you know uh on on to lighter things we're looking ahead here um the tours are gonna start in about uh what are we at about three four weeks from now roughly um what are you looking forward to the most now that you guys are going to be getting back out on the road i mean like i said earlier we've been touring for so long it's always been a love-hate relationship you know obviously you love music you love being out there um connecting with with fans and friends you know but you also there's a cough you leave your family you know there's there's a cost so you get on the road or you you can't wait to get on the road you're on the road for two weeks and then you're like i i need to go home you know and then you're sitting at home you're like man i really need to to let you know release you know what i mean so uh it's just gonna be nice to be around people obviously we're gonna be cautious and follow the rules and stuff so um it's going to be a kind of a learning curve of what we can do you know like we said earlier i'm dude i'm a personable you know person i i see see friends and fans outside the venues and getting coffee whatever we're hugging we're laughing you know what i mean we're we're talking you know i'm in the crowd sweating with everybody else and it's like okay what are the rules what can you do yeah so that's gonna be kind of a little bit of a trick for me because once the adrenaline everything gets going yeah you know i could already hear my wife already saying okay don't go in the crowd don't don't do this don't do that you know because we're not supposed to but when you're in that moment you're like just dude this is again this is a lifestyle man you know like we those people that i see you know behind the barricades i've seen them a hundred times before and that's like dude we're friends yeah that's why we ever said we're not fans dude we're we're together we just happen to be the guys with the microphone you know i mean but we're we're friends and it's like you see people and you're like dude especially now after this kind of don't touch don't hug you know secluded kind of prison we've been in now it's like bro what's up you know i want to hug you i want to hug you man tell you i love you you know we miss you but now we don't yeah it's been a while you know yeah oh that that's awesome that's really cool to hear because like i mean you know like like so many people that grew up on the other side of the barricade right there's definitely a few people that you see enough times and you you know that they recognize you after all we know we know bro yeah it's going to be we i know man i i see them dude and it's like again been doing this so long uh it's it's it's a beautiful thing you know and i i take it very personal you know yeah yeah oh that's great well you know um it is gonna be a little you know say touch and go right i think the first few weeks as as you know artists really get out there and i think the month of august will will tell us a lot in terms of kind of yeah and hopefully as we get into the fall it'll be obvious like what what works and maybe maybe what doesn't i don't know yeah you know and i want to i want i mean bro even through this whole time whether i've never sat there and um you know in my soul box and voiced my opinions like i'm not i'm not that guy especially with social media and internet like you know so many people have everybody has an opinion right and everybody wants to fight and battle and you know lose family and friends over it i'm just like you know i'm just i'm just listening but i've always respected everybody's decision what they want to do with anything you know i would hope to receive the same in return you know so uh if anything i'm just more uh aware and sensitive to hey dude if that person wants me to wear a mask or that person is you know i'm cool with that do i have no problem whatsoever you know but there's also people that are like dude why are you wearing your mask well like you know i haven't seen you in a while so i'm just i just want to be cool with everybody yeah it's tricky man i mean my hope is that going forward like you know around the ho you know around winter you know peak flu season you know you go out people are wearing a mess good for you hey if that's not yeah yeah dude oh man i don't care one way or another you know i'm good with it but even recently i think we had a couple emails the other day where um already now the rules are coming in um for anybody in the backstages and uh workers and stuff like that you know and um and i was asking too yeah what about what does that mean for like uh vip packages and stuff like that you know because we're gonna be together you know and i mean i knew that's why i was kind of even for us we were like man if we can i hope that a lot of people kind of pick up on the vip packages because we're really not going to be able to hang like we used to you know what i mean and that's kind of that's kind of sad yeah you know but but it's it's the rules so i i was stoked that you know people are buying the packages we're like cool at least we get to hang out you know before the show and stuff but then now that these other orders came in it's like so what does that mean like do we have to show vaccine card do we have to have you know negative test proof like it's just it's just one more thing that just it's kind of like man bro it's not quite normal yet you know but whatever it takes you know whatever it takes is as long as they just let it go and but i see the pictures where i see the videos of the bands are on tour now and dude it looks like a rock show so that's promising yeah that's right right well yeah i mean i hope whatever whatever this fall looks like as we kind of hobble through it and bring it back to normal um you know hopefully it gets there real quick you know yeah for sure let's see what happens as long as people can come to the show you know you guys can get your cruise back to work all that kind of stuff that's that's good news you know yeah yeah for sure we're excited either way yeah definitely definitely well um but i do man i hope i hope i see you guys in these parts here in western new york at some point yeah i do we're gonna get over there man it's uh you know we we grabbed every availability where we could with promoters and stuff and like i said it's a stacked tour for us so i'm shocked we're not coming through your way but we will for sure man oh i know i know i saw the dates i'm like oh this looks pretty good and i was like you guys are doing cleveland um but it's like so you know well if you don't mind making the trip we'll take care of it i know no no i would love to actually um from ashes to new i'd love to see them again too actually um man i i remember uh matt madeiro i saw him i saw his actually that theater you guys played here in uh in niagara falls that date i saw him he stepped up and played his first gig behind the kit for trivium here in niagara falls um which is because he did that gig for about a year right yeah yeah with him and then and then landed over with uh from ashes to new but yeah that was his first gig and it was uh it was neat uh and and i saw him later at rock on the range and you could tell you know that the nerves had settled and he really got into his groove yeah yeah dude they're all good kids man we love seeing these bands like you know especially we you know like i said we've been out we've taken action too before and the the other two bands um they're up-and-comers so it's always you know we're we're like the old you know dads that are like you know we're proud dads and then you see these kids start to make head waves in the scene i mean we did the same thing with lincoln park you know what i mean it was like all these bands you see and they just go straight to the top and it's like we sit there and we're excited about that you know what i mean we're like look at these guys dude they're grinding they you know because we we know how that you know we still know how that feels you know so to see these guys hungry and going for it man it's it's it's a built thing oh that's great do you do do you chat about that a lot on tour with different bands do they do they ask you a lot about that i mean there's there's some real experience to draw off of here so i kind of hope so no for sure man we and we're do like i said we're we go up to the bands and we're like what's up dude you know if we haven't met you guys and now we're the old guys so it's like you know a lot of times it's funny because we'll get on uh these tours you know we'll be on a multi-package tour and then you're like man some of these bands these new beds are just not that friendly you know you know and uh and then until the last day of the tour two months later you know when you have like the everybody's leaving moment they're like dude i just wanted to say what's up man and like it's been an honor and tour i've been listening to you guys all my life being such a big fan like dude we've been up to it two months bro you never even said nothing i've been smiling at you guys this whole time i don't know yeah i don't know if it's just like uh you know there's those guys that are just kind of quiet and maybe maybe they're intimidated and then but then there's the other guys that have no problem they're social butterflies like yo what's up dude and yeah and then you just kind of hit it off and i get that i guess i'm that way too where i'm just like i just kind of stay in my lane and quiet but but yeah you know once the questions you know we sit at catering or whatever a lot of it's just like what about this and what about that and do we we love to share that it's like we just feel like we've gained so much experience over the years you know what to do and what not to do you know what i mean that's great oh my gosh yeah and why wouldn't you right i mean that's that's it's networking just like anything else in life right that's what you gotta do no they're the new school man they gotta know exactly that's what it is right so it's also against them we don't want the industry to you know to screw them over too man we're like look at okay we'll have those conversations we're like dude don't spend this and don't take this and you know what i mean be careful on you know this and that and that's only because we learned the hard way you know even when we thought we you know even though we thought we had enough knowledge about it you know you know once you're in that mix it's like dude it's a little tough you know yeah hey that reminds me too when you're talking about the you know the industry of course uh that's a whole nother that's a whole nother yeah but um with uh with satellite and and maybe i missed this but i looked ahead of time and i didn't see it um with the uh with the anniversary edition of that are you guys putting that out on vinyl or does that exist and i missed it yeah no no um uh we have old vinyl on the original satellite which is very hard to find it's very pricey uh online but um we are re-releasing uh the 20th anniversary of satellite double disc uh i do believe that there's vinyl coming out there's a lot of cool stuff you know we'll have some cool memorabilia type stuff or just t-shirts anyways on tour yeah uh but yeah all that stuff's coming out we've been dropping like you know just old remixes or um you know there's some demo versions on the b-side stuff that never made the album it's just that kind of cool stuff again for the fan that's like dude this stuff means everything to me and so yeah we're releasing that um probably probably while we're on tour i believe i don't have the exact date but it's coming out there you go something something new to throw on the uh on the tournament awesome dude that sounds great man well hey sonny thanks so much um i really appreciate your time um awesome tour coming up i hope i get a leg of it down the road or whatever it looks like next year it's all good i'll uh i'll see you before too long i'm sure for sure man come hang out brother yeah definitely you have a great day enjoy the rest of your vacation there thanks man we'll see you bro all right you got it take care okay bye bye
