International Quilt Market Set up Day

[Music] [Applause] [Music] so we're heading on the max over to the convention center for setting up on the international will open it up with Stacy West from batter Moon Bay my first interview is with gee how excited are you to go to the quote or indoor sports level this side what a great guy book I got to see it first before you know excuse me some people are such Queens oh look at line two with Henry glass just like a tag team with so lovely yeah that makes it somewhere in your press don't get things done yeah exactly but look at their excitedness bike oh my god I know for this yeah yes no yeah oh and I have this fabric I just have out yesterday no no way oh yeah we'll see we'll see when you get it done though that's all it's very you know I I have to keep it family appropriate on the on the day or two so that's the free spirit that's an amazing this is my garden gate and this is my garden gate pattern in my line done by Anna and quilted by Christian Meijer in Kansas City anyway so that's it Scott tell them where you're from I am from Sultan in Washington okay okay Tula I saw the picture of the seahorse's uh-huh they ain't I love that thank you and one of the gals and sisters just made a purse out of your copper coin oh it's adorable cool I can't wait to see those oh good yep they'll be out soon yeah we're just trying to get everything together yeah this'll be great so welcome to mana I am just doing setup so we've got a long ways to go we've got one day under our belt we're hot sweaty and it's kind of still they don't turn the air on in here so it's kind of crazy but as you can see we've got a good start we're gonna do a lot of Halloween over here so we're gonna do Halloween over here but this is how it starts it kind of starts as a hodgepodge of everything you don't know where anything is going this one of the decor I don't yeah that would be my daughter's leftover from yesterday so yes we'll probably put this right earlobe in yet yeah yeah not of wool yeah this would be mine so yeah so it starts out as a hot mess first of all we get in and I got you the pictures so that you'll be able to add that so you'll be able to see but it starts bottom up we've put the floors in and we put the poles up then put the drapes we have to have the cushion floors because some of us old ladies you know and and from yeah Ben she was asking I wonder if Stacey uses all those picnic oh yes and everything you're riding with me yeah and I said yes so typically I bring way too many props as you'll see as we go around the corner and then anything that's not used will be headed out to the drop so yeah you can see I don't know so here's what we did we bought shelves to build this time instead of Holly none because we typically don't have that much room in the trailer so George ended up driving early so he came down oh yeah pumpkin fire so he came down and then so everything's here and then we flew in so there's four of us at flew in and then one more is flying in today so yeah so this is it then I have Jody you know making last-minute like leaves like the day of because we got extra time so let's just make some to fill in but aren't they pretty well my new fabric line I know it's a little details all the new fabric line is gonna fall in the shops right so this one actually knows but it's not a nice that's what's killing me mate oh so and then sometimes you get way too you over pack like oh yeah forget it yeah that is pretty not gonna lie so I hate to tell you this but I think we're banking on this being this will probably be the hot seller of the show this is my new black of the month with the new fabric and it's and look at that pop of blue isn't it gorgeous I know I just finished give thanks I mean give me a break Bond girl come on girl we got this but yeah this is really one of our favorites so you're gonna get this yep we're gonna get that we in it we pretty much get everything now that we can since you kind of got this groove down and we've got help at the shop but you know I'm a kid girl I know and that's why we cater to you guys because it's important yeah time to think about you know and you know what we've thought through this so much so look you just enjoy it I lovely yeah and then a pop with that purple and so now that also features my new on wolves too from Henry class so look at she's in there I don't get hills in there look at her go so these are brand-new and these are so new I can't even remember it I think it's um woolen cotton through the year so here's the deal guys we are going to make a calendar and each one of these is going to be in the calendar as a vignette with a little recipe and a cute won't that be adorable yes so those are also hot off the press so we're baking those will be pretty good and I have to do this one this one hi yeah yeah but I I mean this is the panel so yeah so this is the pan oh so what we do is we did a few things to show the panel and honestly you know I'm not a huge panel girl so this is really challenging for me I don't do the panel but I just don't know what to do with it but I'm going to be doing a lot of fun with this so we made an inter quilt then we've got some border stripes that we just went ahead and did to just show no seriously this is take just with a you know three quarters of a yard and then we just did some blocks between it but you know this is perfect because I hang a quote outside my house yes and you don't want to do homework and I'll put it out in the weather this is exactly same with that panel I mean there's so many options with it and then look at this one so what we did is we just went ahead and we didn't put glass over it for travelling purposes but this could go on the coffee table we just added some of the coordinating fabric and then put it on phone corner and then we did it where'd you get this Hobby Lobby hobby well I know everybody loves the Hobby Lobby yeah and then the same with that that is just a frame that I just went ahead and put some things on it just to showcase the fabric again because that's what we're trying to do is sell the fabric and framed it up so there's just a lot of options you can do so and then we're finally offering the if for those of those people who didn't do the Williamses in last year we're doing that now in kit form so they're gonna be able to buy that at their local quilt shop yes and thanks for my other spirit of America and then we've got some we've got a ton of new stuff as you can see layered so we've got to probably get about another I don't know how many actually it's well over a hundred pieces so we still got to get all out but yeah we've got some awesome things and then of course there's more props so now it's like this is the first time I took mark will and will stop so I'm really struggling because the quilts are so huge they do they take up a lot of my room and I have three I know but okay that one's really cool but then look it Oh got another another one there oh yeah bird watch just wait till you see what we got Vale oh it's like there's so much more to come oh yes so you'll have to stop back in a little while those gonna have a little update for you yeah and then hopefully by the end of the day we'll have the finished product knock on wood yes okay I used to go see you later yep here's a local girl trying to look important new patterns but only one of them is up so far the cow abstractions adorable yes I'm doing a whole new series of farm land animals and pieces and actually Catherine's working on the sunflower wolf the wolf abstractions boat so we're keeping the wolf out of the head he's Guardian yeah yeah Here I am wait where's Rita instead of Where's Waldo I love this stuff I've been watching all your traveling oh yeah then having fired and the grandbaby oh it's growing fast yes so tell us what's new okay we're Portland market and I have some new things here summer table mat feet higher with the watermelon and the daisies and then I got the little lemonade fresh company with a little coaster you can make and when it says when life gives you lemons so so you keep that summer banner this would be great gifts for friends channel yeah we don't mind dirt huh little pull tab on them and you can use some own gifts or ornaments or mount to my little wooden of things for your wall so that's fun it's really cute I have a friend Leslie who's working on your wagons here yeah yep so we did these this little smaller version and Christmas theme oh and look at look at these campers we've got campers we like campers we have a holly basket here and then of the ways like we're saying you could Fanta on a board Oh popular right now little wards and stuff where did you get the board wrapped warehouse you can just pick them up there you got a husband who's handy he can cut one for you we'll stop at crafters warehouse on the way home over the mountain huh and then this was my book that came out last July so some projects out of the book I put some of the spools on a reef and I thought well that makes a cute little decoration just to make the picture was a great idea I guess their pen questions tomato penguins I said suppose ya find a great idea go for a sower to designate you yeah I know what we're doing here getting set up I have one more here this little table and a side table thing one of my favorite this is a one we made it Holly no yeah bring out yeah and a little little Bowl present you can make a bunch of these and put them around so that's kind of fun what a great gift to see I'm always looking for gift items to make for girlfriends Easter oh it's so fun so times you're getting there yet well we live local so we didn't have to travel around for our let's sleep in her own bed and not it's not totally tired yeah yeah and this is so great way off to your next where we're just here's my favorite stock good so what's new where are you getting your frames or did you make that my very best friend ever oh you moved up the speed dial well I opened my trunks at home and I said look at what I have in here Here I am with Tanya Alexandra and she's going to tell you about her quilts hi good morning I'm Tanya Alexander with stache lab quilts and I'm here for my first full market first coat more burst full market hosting my own booth right so I have patterns and a book my book came out with martingale in 2015 which is stash lab simple solutions for scrap bullets and then my new operas this year include a new work book series called string theory the lab manual series by stash lab coats and they're all modern - six new projects all modern takes tons of turtles and so that's some of the patterns that you see here and then also individual pattern sales and they'll all be available in 1616 and I have to just point out to you that this is about the cutest pillow I have ever seen I collect this tape I am sanchu how cute is that and that's actually this project right here this is in the string theory lab nah it's a little table topper and then this is an alternate project in the book it's the pillow cover so you see em in different colors and then look at this look at this that she did with her lampshade well all the projects in this string theory lab manual feature one and a half inch wide fabric scraps trips and so all of these are done with one and a half inch wide strip subscribe fabrics and so I had to do the lampshade you know to write this X awesome I'm going to get that book well thank you very much for stopping hope I will be on YouTube quote roadies well I'm trying to get set up in the hospital for my new fabric line called with a twist it's a designer bolt so it comes on fat quarter rolls and it's fun and springy it goes from thank you Thunder were questions now just trying to figure out where the quilts are behind me I'm gonna get pulled down to go on the sample screen and then they'll go back up for good yeah this is amazing so say hi to
