all right guys sorry there's probably not much of an intro it is windy as anything raining and uh pretty grim outside so uh basically on this flight this is flight number two today we're going from vestman there to a glacier which is on the eastern side of iceland so taking off from here and uh ifr um the weather is um it's pretty much on the deck throughout the whole uh from the uh whole of iceland so ifr up to flight level one one zero then uh we're going to take a uh arlo's approach into escondia so just going to power the aircraft up speak to atc and uh we can get on out of here i've actually delayed the flight by now because uh escalante was in fog so uh it's just lifted a little bit but it is patchy at the moment uh so we could probably have a quick look at the uh actual weather i've got a bit of time so uh that will be the uh old uh meta so uh you can see what it was 60 meters in fog it's now gone up to four kilometers before within the area so it's definitely an rls on the way in and uh on the way over probably expecting uh hopefully a 110 will be in between loads of clouds and i chose that level because um if we're at least in between now there's not a huge amount of icing but we just got to we've uh just got to play like one by eight really okay that's all looking good right lights attacks like and go on peter heats can now go on fuel pumps one and two can go on last minute approach parking brake can come off heaters will definitely uh remain on fossils closed costly closed trims set for takeoff and absolutely tanks aren't transferring they're full and three now we can call ready for taxi and november 14 romeo ready for taxi you [Music] yep we are ready to go and we can take runway one two with wind is now one one zero degrees at 20 knots qnet is 976 and no traffic only wind's certainly picked up a bit holy point all clear right golf how long uh yeah the time we're going to fly is one hour and 20 minutes november 14th one hour 20 minutes let's make sure their traffic on the left so be interested to see what happens after departure here whether um whether he's going to be able to explain itself a lifetime to work again i'll speak to reykjavik but it's just going to have to be one of those things that we deal with in the air what i'll do is i'll make full use of the uh the autopilot one two okay all copied 976 and taking off runway one two november fourteen all right all copied everything's secure all looking good happy weapons inside landing light goes on and take off so 100 and rolling it's expecting to be windy this means a lot d's and p's are all good it's 1876 and we're gonna say that okay gears coming up just building airspeed first there you go keep up there lots of blue quite nicely foreign there yep there were 99 comes off tax light comes off flaps up fuel pumps off everything else looks normal go back to max caught at 91. but what i'll do is i'll just just a little bit east first so we don't go too near the high ground doesn't go with him sorry well that's nice short sweet visit what an amazing place five degrees we are five miles east three thousand feet can we change our route to uh good afternoon identified are you looking for ifr uh clearance to asl airport hey we're looking for ifr clearance uh there's a flight plan in the system at one three three zero november for silver avenue looking forward to lima road uh i have your uh clearance when you're ready climbing flight level one one zero score two three two seven november fourteen let's been climbing which is good which is the uh start of the start again not a bad day yes shame couldn't see the uh bit of us that i wanted to see but uh has the excuse to come back and do it again get the weather radar on now to depart it so radar goes on node weather ancestor probably once it wakes up about three degrees until to start with yeah this is kind of interesting uh that airport really nice didn't even charge me a landing fee i'm really happy to source the season traffic they had nothing planned for today and uh but it's kind of interesting it's uh maybe the sort of local procedures how to deal with things around here but i'm not a local expert by any means so it's uh yeah it's just sort of interesting how the flight plan system works uh there was a flight plan in the system which uh reykjavik had given a clearance for uh but uh maybe he didn't have access to the same system maybe you know he was sort of wanting one direct with him so not entirely sure but it still seems to work now and uh on route so uh yeah it's expected to take about one hour 20 also and uh what i'll probably do is turn the cameras on in the cruise or on the approach one of the two so i'll say goodbye for now well guys i've no idea you can hear me the uh it seems like the mic i've been on this one's uh not picking up anything so uh yeah we're going to see the rls in we're just approaching bruce we'll take it back shortly to 4800 feet and do the approach the weather's right down to minimus uh so commentary will probably be to minimum so uh it's a minimum should i say because i'll be concentrating on what i'm actually doing with it being overcast at 300 feet and we'll take it all from there so expect your right turn in uh yeah about 30 seconds or so yeah i'll turn 105. there you go what we'll do when we get around the corner we'll activate the approach is and what we can do is go pnf direct activates and yeah that's cool enough okay we can go down four thousand eighteen flaps made up for the time being alternate air is open cross speeds are all closed that's just today just keeping an eye out for icing so eagle then 3700 feet uh five miles to do so and then there's something to be about 110 knots and then uh left turn in 3700 feet to the top of the job at the victor alpha and db yeah honestly let's come back up climb all the way up to one two zero or decimal four exercise information what went out for good day fourteen million headless that information november fourteen level romeo with you descending four thousand eight hundred feet eagle for the rls-03 november 42 lima romeo air studies good afternoon runway in use surface condition called 555 winds zero one zero degrees after eight knots visibility is more than ten kilometers but to the east and to the southeast the visibility is more like four kilometers we have light rain and mist and clouds scattered at 300 feet coconut 2500 feet and overcast between three and four percent temperature six degrees qnh 983 go ahead okay all copied sigma 3 with 2h 9 8 3 4 so starting from 16 mile final november lima uh we'd like to stay tonight and then tomorrow we're planning to go back to uh the united kingdom okay and uh are you refueling today then um yeah i'll refuel tomorrow morning november okay okay one thousand to go looking good so far for honesty we're looking good get the one chilled up i might just vs it now just go down a little bit quicker 600 feet per minute just gonna cut the corner okay expecting a left turn on two zero three four so three four we've got next event eleven miles uh i've got up a shank zero three four and pro charms that's all looking good down to three thousand seven hundred mr perch house tube five thousand uh three hundred is looking good that's november 40 localized established 15 miles half scale coming in there gear and i expect to read a sentence of uh 550 three grand approach like we have okay glass of catching hungry okay all the good ah these visibility off to the west so nine speed back a little bit 30 see what that does wow you can see the heights rain off to the east okay yeah so glasses look at me happy with that but you're not small looking good stable it doesn't give it as landing clear it's not quite sure what the two landing clears out here because it isn't eighth but so i could call four miles and see what he says so nice system we don't need anymore yes that's just a localized uh cloud of pogba that he was talking about should be interesting if we do go around whether we just try and uh assess the air forces we uh when it's completely bogged out potentially hold off the emcee and if not we'll go back to it we've got our fuel on board so so you said wind brazil wants it too interestingly the wind's going to swing around because we've got an easterly wind compartment at the moment so she's expecting again some iceland theme going on a little bit of uh windshield awesome november 14th four miles roger wind zero two zero degrees at seven knots units eight three no traffic on runway zero three and uh probably some low clouds in front of you but you would have to pass through at three hundred feet or so okay all copied to visual lights and uh landing zoo3 november fourteen perimeter okay so one thousand feet ago two mile final runway zero three 500 feet to go ah visual lives okay it's probably coming up 500. i'll turn the settings in speaking back to 90. i just did blow the glide go for the pressure on that minimums minimums there you go landing off peter off flaps up number four at the south end of the apron okay uh taxi to the open and uh stand for at the south of the open forest lyria there's like a for an airfield chart here so uh when do you estimate to leave in the morning i haven't quite got that far yet but uh potentially nine or ten o'clock in the morning um i'll speak to the fbo when i get inside okay uh your handling agent jet center they won't be here until uh 10 15 in the morning okay yeah that shouldn't be a problem i'm quite flexible timing and november 14 romeo uh stand for facing north island that's okay with me thanks there you go well that was pretty cool fight actually i wasn't sure was going to get him but uh yeah it just seemed very localised weather so a bit of a learning point for me so uh i've no idea if you guys can hear it because it looks like the gopro is not recording it'd be a shame if it's not but i'll try and make the best of the footage but uh yeah until uh until next time thanks bye
