so I'm getting ready to install this little 115 volt 12,000 in my RV a little truck travel trailer there's my backing plate on my use but I'm actually mount it back here to the bumper I'm gonna take that spare tire off and I'm gonna mount it right there so let's go inside and I'll show you where I'm gonna mount so unfortunately I'm gonna have to sacrifice those two cabin doors right there in the center it's the only place in here that I can actually mount the unit so I'm gonna take the doors off and mount that piece of plywood that you saw outside and I'm gonna go through here and in that corner over there goes straight out and then down the wall well the unit's up covered my whole mouth at the unit from this angle it looks like that doors gonna not open up but it does I have just enough room um same thing with this one over here just enough room door opens and closes I'm getting ready to drill my hole outside so I can run the line set in here and the wire can't run the drain out whole time so the hole is done look at that I ain't scared there's a little puck ain't much is it some styrofoam and a couple piece of luan hey very much at all that's it looks like a little ice cream sandwich anybody hungry so I'm going to use the nav ACK battery-powered flaring tool to my mind to make my flares there's a head that goes on it I can't really do it one-handed so I'm gonna go ahead and put it on make sure I put my nut on I'm gonna go ahead and put it on and then I'll show you when when when it's on but see that a little stopper right there that little black thing that actually stops the copper so but it just slides on there stops it and you lock it down in place and put the flaring tool on it makes a good flare let me get hooked up and I'll show you all I gotta do is just push the button that's it there's your flare see what it did okay so I've made all right I'm on go get my torque wrench get a little oil you know get it torqued down so for my drain line here's what I do you can see you have this little nipple right there well I take a piece of half-inch you can see it almost fits right there so what I do is I take my hand sweater and I put it on on 5/8 right there and then I slide it over crank it down switch the pipe like so like so so and it just makes it big enough just to fit right up inside there so there you go it's on there so so I've had to pop it off but it's definitely on there does good so I just tape that up with electric tape and then going nowhere to drain lines pointing down so we're all good all right so so I'm installing the line hide now yep filling it up really really well so have any leaks do those screw holes I'm using stainless steel screws see right there just goes up you'll come out I'll have a hood and I'll seal it all up now seal the hole with spray foam I'll tape it up from the inside spray foam it so it'll be insulated again well yeah that's not going to do it this parts gonna come in sit like that so it's gonna go right on the other side that brake light the line hot is done line sets are actually done stuck inside their line hides done came down came around there's my line sets they're my wire the drain line I actually just drilled a hole in those in the bottom of the 90 there and went straight down so that way I don't have to go all the way across and take a chance on it clogging up or whatever so it's just going straight down so now I'm just going to get the Union strut cut and mount it and I'll be ready to put the unit on the bumper it'll look good it have my old spring spring bolts in place and the unit is ready to set in so I'm getting ready to set the unit in place let's see what it looks like so it's line set connection time but before I start I really talk about really how I'm mounted Bank what I did is I just got some unit strut and I got some four inch u-bolts you know bolted it to the bumper and that's all you got to do to mount it now I took some spring nuts call them spring bolts fall ago but they're actually spring nuts and it just keeps the little nut in place it just locks itself in right there under the unit strut so you don't have to fumble with the uh with it holding the nut up but it works good so that's how I mounted it and it's not going anywhere so now to get the lines that connected so I can get it wired up we'll be good to go but I don't know where this tool has been all my life but if I was still in the field I would definitely have one that's it look at that come to part let me show you the flare it makes unscrew it look at that perfect perfect every time this is a vacuum pump oil from net from the navicomp come to this little slow container makes it really really easy so I'm just gonna take a little drop of it put it on the face of that flare and then torque that now this is not supposed to be taught to 10 to 12 where it's 6.3 alright self all right all I'm gonna do I saw actually 10 to 13 is what that one's fuzzfeed bottom was supposed to be 25 to 30 so it's done Solar pros done so the boat done now all I had to do is pull a vacuum we'll be done wait hauling Mari done it 660 well it's 500 company and not one minute not even one I'm below I'm poor something now it definitely it's all about the hugs like here all right I want to go ahead and take the micron gaze off let the pump on give that little bit of air out here [Music] I I let that run for just a little longer go ahead and close the valve off and then sapote the valves are open and I barely have this thing on so what I'm gonna do is I'm barely gonna make sure it doesn't come off there when I open up so I'm on barely all right now there's no air got into it so now all I have to do is push this in and tighten it up and I'll be good so it's all done who knows here I have an extension cord because it's 110 bulky unit I do have a course I have an air conditioner on the roof that I could still power off of and wire it out but I'm gonna leave it as a secondary in case something happens to this so when you're parked you always have an outlet so I just plugged it in right here and there's my power so it's on a 20 amp circuit so we'll be good something I go ahead and turn it on and see what happens so I have to actually run the power into the panel because whenever I plugged the outlet into a GFI as soon as the compressor comes on it immediately trips so I guess the GFI can't handle the current so it won't be a big deal I'm just gonna run the power over there now there it is there's my connection and you see I did seal it up good because water and I'm not worried about how what it looks like actually so seldom all the scrolls all right so I've gotten the electric panel off got my wire I ran over to it there's a 20 amp breaker right there I just have to connect the wire you know I'll be ready to start to sing up gonna be long overdue for sure all right I just turned the breaker on I guess let's go ahead and go outside it's dark out there but at least we'll be able to see it start up so there it is running like a champ kept the place 70 degrees last night the most comfortable it's been since I've been here I just shut down the electrical going in drink the line hide that's where it comes out the most couple I've been since I've been here was last night it's all thanks to that mini-split did a hell of a job
