Hey guys! How's everybody doing Once again your brother has brought you a small tech video So in this video I am going to install OpenWRT In my archer c20 V5 dual frequency router So guys this is the firmware, I am extracting it now And after extracting here are 3 files here like sysupgrade and TFTP So I am taking TFTP file beacuse we are going to flash with TFTP So I have made a new folder on the desktop And I am pasting here the file and renaming it tp_recovery OK and we will leave this file here And now that router I bought why I chose this router Bcause of compatibility issue, there are spacific firmware for spacific router So this router cost me 1700 Rupees It is a dual frequency router with 5ghz and 2.5 ghz frequecy So not connect one port of lan cable to the 1st lan port of the router and the other port in your laptop or PC it will be connected without any issue So I chose this router for the effective cost and easily available product and got deliverd fast now we have to change the ip of network adapter manually now we have to select the ethernet port and click on the properties, the ip address will show I will also put the ip address in the description, now I am putting the ip in the field 192.168.0.66 subnet mask will be default, and for default gateway put 192.168.0.1 you can leave the dns blank if want hit ok, now we have to install TFTPD64 software link in the description Install it give all the firewall permission and check if firewall is not blocking it make sure firewall is not blocking TFTPD64 Now the browe directory of the TFTPD and now select the folder we have made in the beginning of the video and pasted one file and renamed that I have made the new folder for the confusion free workflow now select the ip address in the system interface that we have configured in the network adapter 192.168.0.66 so now I will flash it now we are gonna need a pin or nib of the pen because the reset button is in a small hole I am using a pen, pen will be fine but I will recomment not to use working pen because it might damage the point of the pen IMPORTANT we have to disconnect all the wifi and internet I have disconnected my WiFi our all cables are connected well, here the network sign in the taskbar now I have the pen, and in that small hole there is the reset button we have to press the reset button, and then power on the router by mistake my WiFI got connected, I am disconnecting it now so now I am pressing the reset button and powered on the router flashing will start in a second so guys it is now flashed, progress 100% can be seen in the window It seemed easy, but if you are doing first time it can be a little bit complicated And I made this video because in the past I used to get confused in this so the people who have problem in this I have made this video, now revert back the ip address to automatic becaue we are going to login in to our new system now go to the default login page of the router 192.168.1.1 password is none, and the user is root now you can explore the functions, you can visit the internet for more info on OpenWRT and if want more info on openWRT you can let me know there are a lot of custom firmwares friends, hit that subscribe button and if you will do it will help me to make more technical videos or you and my motive is that to give something to you guys and if we will learn one single thing everyday it will be very good for us so here is the interface, it provide information in detail. We can make cutom routes etc and it is a lot better then regular router, you might have heard the term ROOT for our android smartphones we cannot do much customization in them when we have stock rom so guys make sure to hit that subscribe and like button I will see you in the next video, till then take care b bye!
