Doesnβt sound like fun.
Went in expecting a cool video on nuclear subs, ended up getting a bland propoganda film
Brother works on a sub. The food shown is 100% bullshit and likely propaganda.
Just stop and ask yourself a few questions:
How long do fresh ingredients last?
How much space does a submarine have to spare?
If it has space to spare, would it want to keep extra freezers just to have varied food?
Why would you not used cans as much as possible for storage purposes?
Why would the US Navy remotely care about providing more than the bare minimum food?
While the process is likely true, the food shown is very unrealistic for day to day. Even if anecdotal evidence shared by other redditors here isn't enough to persuade you this is bullshit, think about it from a logical perspective and realize that this is heavily orchestrated.
Wish I knew which sub they were showing during the SSBN portions.
I should not have watched this while hungry. Pizza on its way now.
Let's look at some other things $2 billion dollars could buy:
Fuck these propaganda puff pieces.
