so how did Dallas win this by only hitting with only hitting 63 six out of 25 they normally take like regular season third most three attempts a game and even in the postseason 35 or so they shoot 25 from three tonight is that because of what they were being given or because yeah dunks you you can give contested shots but you cannot give dunks between Lively and Gafford they were able to get 20 points basically on dunks with no testing no Rim protection and no resistance you give 20 points away on those you can shoot 6 for 25 from three because you're shooting you're shooting you know 10 for 11 basically from from two so it it you can you can make it up by that you cannot give the dunks away yeah 62 points in the paint which is their high in the postseason 62 but oh my gosh that's easier said than done because if they gonna play that drop defense they drop and then they got Luca coming at them full speed you know it's easy to say what what it's easy to stop but like nah cuz when you don't do Luca he gets his numbers he still got 30 but you even said that it was idiotic on a couple of defensive plays well I don't I no it was idiot when they lead the basket but I got to give these guys credit man they were timely first of all ant did not play great number one he didn't play great he was gassed uh he was gazed but this was a just these two guys just put on a masterpiece in my opinion and Kyrie set the tone the young boy called him out he says Oh yeah and when he got off to a good start that everything start because because you know what's interesting about that Luca was playing awful so Kyrie's the one who got them going and kept him in the game with Ely things here and now then Luca woke up down the stretch let's hear from Anthony Edwards just said down Jaden it seemed like you had a really good rhythm going offensively especially early tonight what do you think was that carryover from the confidence you built the last couple of games in the last series or how are you feeling that one yeah just shooting the ball with confidence I mean just working on my game every day and just being confident in it so it's nothing different for me just keep shooting and not worry about the misses and you um took a lot of Threes tonight was that just is that there Rim protection that is affecting your your shot selection or how did you see your offense kind of come together uh I mean they're down the floor the big man is he's not super high up like the last two series um and we didn't really know what to expect I mean you know so came off and was open a bunch of times and took the shots and I'll make them next time I live with it Jaden excuse me Jaden the bulk of your offensive prod production was through the first three quarters and then also defensively your numbers against Luca were a lot stronger the first three quarters than the last did you see anything shift on either side of the ball for you in the fourth no I mean he just start making shots I mean I was playing the same defense he was just making it with my hand in his face and then offensively just miss same thing I mean just missing the shots I'm not worried oh sh and you yesterday about or today about just adjusting to a different team you Dallas plays so differently like it do you think it just takes a game to kind of figure out a little bit different approach and how do you figure you kind of bounce back from this one uh I don't know I I think we just came out we came out flat today I mean and then we found our energy then we went back to being flat so I think it was just on us everything was on us today um I didn't get downhill as much um yeah just stuff like that we was just a little tired probably for both of you guys explain that explain that to me that was I've I've said a lot about Anthony Edward's interviews um all playoffs long and that was one of my least favorites um saying we're tired we didn't know what to expect the same way those guys have followed you to to this point they'll follow that as well and they got completely dominated in the pain we've all talked about the point 62 to 38 but they shot 49 they shot 49 threes here right here Gass right like you got to go through that this the first one he's 22 years old and he's a star we all believe he's the next face that's who they follow but they have to be better in the paint they shot 49 threes verse 25 and they got the size Advantage we all talked about how Dallas wasn't going to be able to compete with their size and you come out and shoot that many threes give up 62 points in the paint and get outrebounded that's a recipe for a disaster yeah but Dallas did especially the beginning of the game you know you start the series on the road you know hostile semi hostile crowd they kept it close whatever was going on they kept it close gained their confidence Kyrie set the tone and then second half Luca took over you know when you're playing a team uh when when when you're the home team you have to put a team away very very quickly the fact that you don't put the Dallas Mavericks away anyway no lead is safe for luuk and Caray so the fact that they kept it close and then down the stretch Luca he said I had to take over the game and that's why they wanted know my criticism of the Wolves has always been they don't use their size you know you if you're bigger than everybody else you should just bludgeon them they don't bludgeon people uh they they should dominate the paint they got dominated in the paint um and then when Anthony has a bad game it really shows uh Coline towns is a very good player but he never uses his size to his Advantage he has a mismatch every single night every single night so whether he's posting up when they put a little guy on him or dominating on the offensive board which I think he should do every night because if you actually look at the game there's several times a lot he has a guard on him and they're letting ant do his dance thing all you gotta do is like just start screaming mouse mouse mouse that's what we used to do back in the day when you got a little dude on a big dud we start screaming Mouse and you look up and it's got to be a little guy trying to guard a big guy but as I said before this game the Wolves got some issues man because those guys Ms missed all them wide open threes cuz there's nothing you going to do about Kyrie and Luca these guys are already Hall of Famers they're G to do they're two of the best offensive players we've ever had in this game they're two of the best we've ever had and if they get anything from their Supporting Cast uh this team is going to be hard to beat yeah I'm not going to ask you to say what bludgeon means but I I would say this you want me to show you no no yeah I want to yeah exactly do it on TV but I would say this human nature is real we've all every every single one of us have played a tough game seven yes and had to turn around and play game one and the emotional energy and the not the physical the emotional mental energy Chuck you said before game seven it took you two days you couldn't sleep then you come back with only a day or two a day of rest emotionally they weren here I don't know if it wasn't physically I just think emotionally we'll see what happens in game two human nature was real today yeah I I disagree with that I don't think happened to been on you know we call that an excuse we trying to get to the they listen never it has but but you know what I go back and say no excuses no we're not saying it's no excuses I'm saying but that's human nature and you say game two we cannot have human nature Fighters but it's happened to you have it ever happened to you yeah but not here not in this situation I also don't think I don't think it was that game one and I actually that's the point I was trying to make I think number one I think for I think is disrespect to Kyrie and Luca they just kicked their ass that's they just did it man Kyrie came out and says okay you want me you got me so I think it's unfair to say that to Kyrie and Luca but also Shaq your point is on H that you can have a let down on the road cuz the other teams been resting and then they can come like said but not at home this place was jumping here's the thing though we we keep saying they've been resting they played Saturday they played Sunday like it's yeah they played Sunday yeah it was one extra day like it wasn't like they've been sitting since Wednesday that's why I said can I I I've been on the other end I'm not saying that's no excuses I'm not saying that it's going to make excuse we're gonna lose the series but we could say we're not going to let it happen again y we will see on uh Friday for game two right here they going
