Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
I love Dabs' pragmatic and succinct breakdown of the situation after the trade up in front of us. "Well, one guy's fast and the other can play Center".
This is a fun watch! Wink telling Banks he is thankful the Ravens signed Lamar so they had to draft weapons made me laugh.
There was a time the Giants had Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi as our Offense and Defense Coordinators, and fast forward 20+ years of suckola; what a mistake. I feel repayment coming.
I can't remember a draft where the top 3 picks combined so perfectly value with need.
whether that was luck or skill, or a little bit of both, who can say, but it is exciting to think we actually pulled off a trifecta of sorts
As for the Dabes convo, he's the reigning coach of the year, and you can see in these brief glimpses why - he loves the players and they will play for him. any coach who can get the best out of his players is worth their weight. last season showed us Dabes has that ability
now if we can just figure out a way to make Saquon happy we will be as locked and loaded for the new season as we can be
I'm of the opinion that they came out of this draft getting the perfect cornerback for the scheme they want to run (and quite possibly the best of the corners altogether), the center whom they absolutely HAD to get (and a kid who from the sound of it is going to be the third anchor of a very good offensive line for a decade if he stays healthy), and the absolutely best receiver given the offensive scheme they will be running that revolves around a tight end who is truly the matchup nightmare that people once thought we had until that guy forgot how to catch the ball (Engram), a possession receiver (a revolving group that includes Hodgins, Shepard and others), a Swiss Army knife guy who manages to always get open (Robinson) and now a pair of deep receivers who can outrun almost every corner and safety in the league (Hyatt and Campbell).
On top of that they got a kid who I think looks like he could turn into a starting corner in the NFL and a running back who looks like he can be a workhorse and be pretty darned effective as a backup this season to Saquon and either remain as that or become the #1 back in 2024 if there's a divorce between Barkley and the team.
Of course you have to see all these kids play before making any final judgment in regard to the draft, but it sure looks like a great haul to me. It was great seeing this tape and discovering how it all came together.
Wow. We got a guy we had as a 2nd round talent in the 3rd round.
That is something.
There is no such thing as too much Schoen and Dabs. I could watch these guys bro it up all day.
One thing that is great to see is how much they both love the players, especially the rooks coming in. Big smiles and a bear hug from Papa Dabs. In contrast I picture Joe Judge offering a firm handshake and then, βCamp starts NOW! RUN ME A FUCKING LAPβ
βI love it when Iβm counted out,β Hyatt said. βMy confidence comes from my hard work. I feel like I get open 24/7. I really believe Iβm the best receiver in the draft.β
Feels like an appropriate amount of dawg swag.
Obviously they will miss on picks but Itβs hard not to have confidence in their process.
