INSIDE Saudia's SURPRISING Business Class

well hello and Salam alaykoum from the sky team lounge here in Dubai International Airport try to fly home to Manchester with Saudi Arabian Airlines Saudi a with a stopover in Jeddah Saudi Arabia are you looking forward to seeing what Saudi Arabia enough to offer in their business class product so come along with me and we'll go check about a big thanks to Sir sharp for sponsoring this video he ever had that feeling while I you're on your own there was nobody around it's half past two in the morning here in Dubai I seem to be the only passenger in the sky team lounge now which is a bit interesting because my flight leaves here my flight leaves in about two hours time and I'm head across to Jeddah is about two-hour flight to Jeddah tonight and then a couple of hours there and then s 787 dreamliner back to Manchester and looking forward to that one big time no understood me right KD 40 let's go see how busy this fly is there was nobody in the lounge once - she amazes me even at 3 o'clock in the morning Dubai it's still really busy this place never stops a writer Jetta this morning is disabled say 320 delivered to Saudi a brand new in 2011 and painted in the skyteam livery I transit into Manchester yes yeah yeah yeah thank you thank you sir 3030 was time to board this really quiet flight welcome on boarding I was really surprised to find a business class cabin full of flatbed seeds they're really two to configuration and the business class cabin takes up nearly half the aircraft they do have so many three twenties with the smaller business class cabin with normal recliner seats too so it's probably worthwhile checking the seam up when you book so that you're not left disappointed oh wow what can I say about this is apparently this is totally not what I expected from the sea is really decently I'm just expecting a normal kind of shabby old business rustic yes but it's actually really nice Wow because into a full flatbed as well crazy you're not a 320 [Music] because my friend here [Music] controls everywhere I need to have a slight bit of my trunk it's my sleep by the way [Music] pre-take-off drinks were brought round and it was really nice [Music] so quick look around the seat that on the Saudi a320 this is much better than I imagined it would be actually didn't expected that bad for sure we have remote control for the entertainment there's a table there that pop sound controls for the floor but just their privacy divider is just here up here we've got a nice big TV screen look and everything there as well as all touchscreen around here we've got headphones mrs. Feinstein as well I will of course try all the flatbed is important to fly buddies hanging to our flights and I'm applying it mostly to either shot at least yeah this is looking good missus very impressed after the drinks round the crew came around handing her Arabic tea and the dates they offered me a selection so I could try them all [Music] pretty soon the safety video came on followed by the travel prayer that's common on most allies from the Middle East my dear [Music] [Music] we had a fairly short taxi tonight and made a departure towards the west over the Gulf [Music] I'll repeat and I then took his West out of Dubai to cross Saudi Arabia before commencing our approach and landing into Jeddah the flight time tonight was two hours and two minutes at a cruising altitude of 36,000 feet it's a day off for a down on demand service in business plus so I took a meal shortly after takeoff to allow me to sleep for the rest of the flight took an Arabic meze to start with Hamad for the main course which was delicious they enjoyed a non-alcoholic Bellini which tasted really nice [Music] so this is a proper flatbed as well there's actually loads of room on this bed to stretch out and lay on your side or anything is really you know like this it's like you'd find on an a330 or a triple seven or something you don't expect to find out on a320s absolutely incredible and I'm a flat other men in my hands not touching at all kind of touching the ball remember I'm six foot four as well so little more controls up here look for the lighting and everything and to control the seat but it's a big gotta be something to try and get a little bit see got a three hour flight to gender just want to try and get a little little bit sniffing even if I got an hour it's bad see how much I can - Jetta and I I got woken up about an hour later by the cabin crew who needed me to put my seat up for landing he was just starting to get light as we made our approach over the city of Jeddah into King Abdulaziz International Airport it was great to get such a close up glimpse of this part of the world I've seen several travel vlogs from Saudi now and it's somewhere else on the list that I'd really like to visit and explore jeddah have just had a brand new terminal built and they did tease me somewhat on this flight by parking at the brand-new terminal and then Persinger's over to the chaotic bus station that is the South Terminal thank you so much I'm gonna be like thank you for my thank you very much hi [Music] hello transfer Manchester now I had been warned about the heretics native Jeddah South Terminal but in reality it wasn't that much worse than other airports like Cairo or sort of the African airports and there was at least a clear transit path to follow followed by segregated male and female security points you just have to know what to expect I mean it certainly isn't Doha Dubai but it does work once outside I had it to develop a sound lounge thank you the lounge is very basic with a small selection of food and drink but it's not particularly lavish I had a good selection of fruit though for breakfast so Jeddah Saudi Arabia wow this is pretty cool Wow Sadia on that flight actually on the a320 were amazing really 10x fly then next leg back home to Manchester on this side of your Dreamliner in business class I'm going to have a bit of breakfast here some lava and this stuff is amazing I've never seen it outside of Middle East it is really good it was like a kind of sweet yogurt e milk is really nice now this have some fruits and in about an hour's time I think time to go down to the gate eventually it was time to head back into the chaos of Jeddah South Terminal and head out of the gate which was absolute bedlam there were numerous passport checks and extra security checks that presumably are in place for flights to the UK or the US thank you working this fund any more heart disease thank you eventually I found my way onto a bus but it wasn't a dedicated business class bus and it soon filled up yeah but to be honest that was fine with me bullying on wide-body aircraft by these steps is always a novelty and it was great to see my right to Manchester up close and personal as I boarded this Boeing 787 - nine is three years old having been delivered new to Saudi in 2017 Sardi's business class on this 77 is in a one-to-one configuration with private suites it's really comfy and uses the common beat aerospace super diamond suite so the Saudi Dreamliner here's a nice seat what is sin 5 and we do have a Miss in wind over the same thing I've got a window which is and an important I'll show you more under the seat in there while there if you've seen some of my other videos you'll have seen the sea before once again I took the Bellini before departure sad here of course over dry airline but that doesn't mean that they're boring in the drinks department as I said before I never really understand the hate that a lot of people give towards Troy airlines going 12 hours without alcohol has never been too much of an issue for me and it's not like they don't serve any form of liquid on board at all besides if you're that dependent on alcohol you can always get a glass of wine at the airport before you leave oh hang on just like I did actually actually do I have a problem the immunity kids are in a pretty unique design and they have different varieties from different regions of Saudi Arabia I'll show you more about that later in the flight just like my previous flight there was a selection of dates in Arabic tea soon it was time to buckle up and the safety video started for my flight in Manchester [Music] [Music] the taxi out was relatively short at this huge Apple and it wasn't long before we started the long takeoff run for the flight to Europe I wrote today that took his Northwest along the saudi coast towards the Sinai Peninsula because Egypt before crossing the Mediterranean into Europe skirting around Greece and flying the length of Italy from there it was across Switzerland in France to Wasson UK with a flight time today after six hours and 57 minutes losing at 36 38 and 40,000 feet the window blinds were dimmed shortly after takeoff but they attend now that mine wasn't locked for too long say the flight attendants just come on to me she said up sir and I just think you enjoy taking photos would you like me to unlock your window blind for you so that you can take pictures out the window as I unlocked me left all the others shirt I mean how much stuff it's amazing what was up before breakfast there was a drinkin not service as we flew along a beautiful sandy coast [Music] [Music] so let's look around the business processing here on the Sandia seven eight first things first big TV screen at the front their table pops out and sliced for what just like that storage down here [Music] big storage Department met with a storage department their space to your feet at the bottom there in here we have we got what do you have found Sophia two USB ports the secondary screen TV and a three pin block there at the back controls for the seat sold in here [Music] make the Z do whatever you want to do control the mood lighting it was Mike's dad and then the back here is another story it supports a lot literature and stuff up there I think that exactly the same as pretty much every other airline they used to see just like Saudi Arabia the Sinai peninsular was really clear today and we got some incredible views over the stunning scenery down below breakfast started with who know leaven yogurt which was presented beautifully the main course was eggs with salmon tomato and a potato rosti all cooked fresh by an onboard chef now unlike many airlines where the onboard chef just reheats microwave food on saw deer they actually cook all the business class meals from fresh the x-ray cooked beautifully and tasted amazing to say they were 38,000 feet seven absolutely incredible breakfast really enjoyed that freshly cooked food they actually have a chef on board cooking the food from fresh and it's not just reheating it they literally cook everything from fresh for business class it is amazing and it tastes it's so good so thumbs up to you sounding for that the food he's just unbelievable brilliant and the service is amazing -
