I don't know any mid-range to Flagship level devices that are giving users a wireless charger out of the box but somehow infinix has managed to do that here with a price tag of Just Around 396,000 NAA or about $300 I've had this phone for quite some time now and I've lived with it here's what you should know about the infinix note 40 Pro without further Ado let's get to the video the unboxing experience of the note 40 Pro is pretty interesting you get the same ejector tool as expected an envelope with a couple of documentations and one more not so common thing you're also getting is a tempered glass cream protector this is not something you see every day in new smartphone boxes you also get this nice leathery case and I'll talk more about that later in the video plus you get some stickers but before we get to the note 40 Pro we also have the MTN voucher for your free data underneath that is the 70 wat fast charger the charging cable and wired USBC headphones you think that that's everything you will get in the box but but there's another box you have a wireless charging box and I first saw this with the infinix note 30 Pro where it came with this wireless charger this time around we get this Wireless magnetic charger in the box and the previous one wasn't magnetic but this one is magnetic to the case of the phone which is really cool we'll talk more about this later in the video for now the note 40 Pro is in this Titan gold color the design of the note 40 Pro looks and feels like an upgraded version of the device from last year I know there's a constant debate of whether cough screens are better than flat screens but if we're going off how this device looks I think this is a 10 10 when it comes to the design you'll be attracted to the chromic look you know the shiny look around the edges of this phone on all the sides and especially the rear camera bump area as well it protrudes it's polarizing it's square and you either are a fan of it or you don't you can't stand the look of it the case is leathery it's soft and it doubles as the magnetic hold for the wireless charger you got a design that is reminiscent of what you have on like the iPhone with the iconography here specifically and it just feels like this is something cool that you have in your hands as the perfect finisher for this design the infinix note 40 pro has an ip53 rating for splash water and dust resistance which is something you might want to take a second look at taking things up a gear on the infinix 40 Pro is this display at First Sight you can see how sharp and vibrant this display is and INF has stocked this up with everything you could possibly want from a flagship device using this as a day-to-day screen feels easy on the eyes and yes it's a phone with a 1,300 knit of peak brightness it will be okay for you in the Sun and I wasn't too bothered by the 6.78 in screen it's curved and have a normal siiz hand that can reach everywhere in the corner and I'm glad they also gave us an AMOLED display that refreshes at 120 HZ anything less would have made a lot of people look over this phone and just look for the next best thing I know I ask this a lot but if you were to choose between a curved screen and a flat screen which one would you choose just drop a comment below I mention that this is a c screen phone and that makes the screen to body ratio look kind of futuristic and it's clever on the eyes when you're doing something like watching a movie for instance it seems to disappear making it a little bit more immersed making you a little bit more immersed when you're watching stuff infinix is quoting 93.6% screen to body ratio here the screen resolution though if you have curious is 1080x 2436 pixels asides that these are specs you would have gotten some time ago in like a flagship device and speaking of watching something the sound here is said to be designed in collaboration with JBL it's stereo sounding and it actually sounds fair now what about performance here you are getting a mediatech dimensity 7020 chipset and this octacore chipset is designed to prioritize battery life and while performance is not on the bad side it is not for heavy lifters either when you play Call of Duty mobile the graphic quality settings are restricted to just medium since as I mentioned the chip is not the most powerful on the upside though the 120 HZ refresh rate allows you to get the high frame rate settings that sort of makes up for this playing at the highest available setting does not bother this phone at all we run through several gaming sessions without any lag and on average daily usage we didn't find any setback in the time that we've had it in the studio for storage you're getting 25 GB and for Ram you're getting 8 gigs of RAM definitely not the most mind-blowing numbers in this category but it's just enough to meet your needs overall the performance features that you get on the infinix 40 Pro will be decent for the most part and especially that battery life you know 40 Pro Series will receive two major Android version upgrades and 36 months of security updates globally so you'll get up to Android 16 and hey I think that's not bad at all so the battery on the infin 40 Pro is a 5,000 mamp one and it didn't disappoint I already mentioned earlier that the dimes 720 chipset that we get on this device is designed to get the best out of the battery life of your smartphone so coupling this with a pretty big battery means that you will not have battery worries for a long time with the infinix note 40 Pro I have to say that it has amazing standby time in the time we've had this in the studio we took a lot of pictures we took some videos we watched a lot of videos and we scrolled social media now we've only had to charge this battery once once in around 3 days or once in every 3 days charging this device gets quite interesting the infinix 40 Pro comes with a 70 W charger in the box which is great but beyond getting a tasty charger infinix took things a step further by designing a special system that they calling all around fast Charge 2.0 basically it's done to manage power better and allow charging to be a little bit more efficient one thing caught my attention in the multi-p speed system that infinix offers here so the depending on your specific situation you can work with a low temperature charging that ensures that your phone stays healthy the temperature is good during the charging session it does mean that your phone will charge relatively slower though for slightly faster charging with a more balanced performance you can switch to the smart charging mode infinix says that this will take your device from 0 to 50% in 20 minutes and based on our test this was almost there the charging speed that we did in the studio here went from 0 to 41% in that 20 minutes charging speeds will vary for different conditions so I guess that kind of makes sense for the fastest charging speed you can switch to hypercharge and infinix claims that this mode will take your phone from 0 to 50% in just 16 minutes now based on our test it went from 0 to 50% in 20 minutes which is just 4 minutes shy of the advertised number and in 40 minutes we went from 0 to 92% another option for charging this phone of course is wireless charging as I mentioned and I really like how the Wireless Charger looks and how it magnetically snaps to the back of the case this is called a MAG pad and because the case is magnetic it is called a MAG case this is actually a 15 W wireless charger and you can keep this at your bedside and just plop your phone on it before you go to bed so you don't have to fill it with cables and from my understanding you can actually charge this phone wirelessly up to 20 WS but this is 15 WS now what did this charge the phone up to so from 0 to 100% it charge the phone in 2 hours and 33 minutes so if you're going to bed I think that's PL 20 you sleep for more than 2 hours and 33 minutes I think it's okay of course there's love in sharing and you can use your infinix phone to wirelessly charge other devices so it's a form of reverse wireless charging of course and it will charge at a maximum rate of 5 wats but when it comes to Cable you know wire to wire it charge at 10 W to top all this off infinix added some safeguards to make sure that you are getting the very best out of the battery of your phone so one is bypass charging mode that allows you to you know use your phone while it's charging and taking power straight to the motherboard byp passing the battery you can watch videos play games while this is charging without raising the temperature of your device although kind of sounds scary in a way there's also an AI charging protection that gets your battery up to 80% when you're asleep and it then controls the charge to get to 100% carefully so it doesn't like you don't overcharge your phone using the cameras on the infinix Note 40 Pro gives you a few things to consider after taking a lot of photos under different lighting conditions I noticed that you needed significant efforts to get every photo to look consistent on the specsheet there are three cameras here on the back of the device you have a large 108 megap sensor with two additional sensors or two additional cameras both 2 megapixels and they will help with portraits and macro The Flash is very bright and it has this colorful Circle here that lights up when you're charging your phone or when you activate the AI or when you have a notification if you're looking at the back of your phone it also shows for music and gaming as well like I said I took some photos with the note 40 Pro and here they are when it comes to standard images with people on the Note 40 Pro it does look okay in bright lighting and it looks okay when you zoom in now when it comes to portrait mode a lot of the background blur is evidently applied digitally and that is consistent with the very sharp edges that distinguishes the subject obviously from the background you can also see that this separates you from the background makes it look like you were cut out of the background and if you compare it to the selfie you the results are also consistent in that regard where it looks like you are cut off from the background and it is significantly blurred you can actually see the lines the 108 megap sensor still gives you a lot of room to get as much detail as possible from the shorts both near and far and you shortly need steady hands to get like good shots good images with this guy and you might end up getting something vibrant like this okay so what about when it gets dark infinix did have a lot to say about the night capabilities of this device so we had to go to an arcade and we took some shots first off I think they tried with the image processing yes there's some noise in the image but it just has good element distinction within it and I like that however this may not hold up when you zoom to capture when you take a steady shot in an arade with a lot of colors I think you'll get a lot of sharpness but you will not get a bright image but if you turn on night mode you will get brightness but you will not get sharpness and the shorts look very smooth these are sort of the standard trade-offs that you will get in many me to Flagship devices now taking shots with people at night is something that I really really love infinix to improve upon but when we got outside we're quickly reminded of how bright lighting will Aid this camera now this is what the video quality looks like on the infinix Note 40 pro at 2K 30 frames per second let me know what you guys think about this video quality in the comment section below looking at both stabilized and unstabilized videos side by side you definitely have to turn on stabilization as you will not have any usable footage if you don't use something like a tripod or have something to hold your phone in place recording videos on this while it's sharp Focus still needs more attention especially when it comes to handheld videos at night however a lot of the imperfections are not bare and it does look bright and usable what do you guys think of the image quality in general though and for a price tag of $ 36,9 00 naira with 8 gigs of RAM and 25 GB of storage would you consider it or would you go for the Lesser note 40 that is 327,00 na which has similar storage but is not a curve display and some other things are missing which one would you consider I'll have all the details of each phone in the description below so just check and give your thoughts in the comment section below
