side up insert the quick-release cable through the routing channel on the cummerbund as shown once the cable is fully inserted place the pull handle into the pocket the use of an ID card will help in placing the pull handle into the pocket you inspecting the side plate pocket for serviceability notice that the ballistic panel insert or soft armor is sewn in for comfort there is a removable pad behind the soft armor insert the side isapi into the side plate pocket and secure by fastening the snaps insert the side plate pocket into the cummerbund panel further secure the side play pocket by routing the retention straps through the ladder locks located inside the cummerbund panel be sure to reroute the pull-tabs back into the ladder locks on the side plate pocket you finally secure the side plate pocket with the panel retention straps ensuring the hook and loop is engaged you repeat the process with the other side plate pocket and the other cumberbund panel we will now complete the Assembly of the PC lay the vest facedown with a cummerbund tray open keeping in mind that the inner cummerbund are labeled left and right place them on the appropriate sides of the vest as if being worn the labels should be facing down for initial assembly the adjustment straps on both the cummerbund panels and the inner cummerbund should be fully extended taking notice that there are two separate channels one for the elastic inner cumberbund and one for the cummerbund panels insert the inner cummerbund through the smaller of the two channels and pull the center white Dacron loops through the grommets next insert the cummerbund panel that does not have the quick-release cable through the support channel first you repeat this process with the comer upon panel that has the the vest and the body on the front of the cummerbund no more than three-quarters of one inch of hook-and-loop can be exposed even when wearing warming layers none of the PALS loops of the cummerbund can be under the front carriers flap if these requirements are not met have your buddy open the rear cummerbund tray and make the necessary adjustments to both sides of the cummerbund by pulling on the pull tabs of the adjustment straps if after these adjustments are made and the cumberbund requirements are still not met exchange the cummerbund for a smaller or larger size the side plate pocket shoulder strap it is optional to attach the yip-yap shoulder strap to the vest using more than one year Yap shoulder strap prevents emergency doffing when participating in over water flight with a yip-yap installed you must practice emergency dolphin procedures with the flotation equipment worn to ensure there is no interference between the systems to attest the UVF remove the buckle on the shooting hand of the front carrier next remove the corresponding shoulder strap on the back carrier stow these components away attach the UVF to the back area in the place of the just removed shoulder strap route the end of the yip-yap through the metal ring on the front carrier in order to marry the vest conductor to ensure the you behave is fully inserted this video is brought to you by the
