Indoor TREEHOUSE Room Transformation! | Get Out Of My Room | Universal Kids

oh my goodness I'm literally up in the tree I'm Eliza and I'm nine years old I like writing treehouses and practicing my violin this is I love this this is my bed and this is my bed who really like like a treehouse what would you do in your treehouse invite people over we can't have too many sleepovers in here it's pretty cramped yeah these are really close to each other very when you're talking at night it's pretty easy to bug the other one yeah how does that work can you show me no that big in art I really like I'm trying to go to sleep there's two things the one I didn't like in the one I did like though who's the Messier one me she leaves stuff for me to clean no no well next thing you know you have to get breakfast to go because you've been cleaning up all yeah so it's gonna be pretty fun to have your own space where you can be clean or messy as much as you want I also heard that one of you plays the violin [Music] please please stop so where is this other room this is it our mom's art studio high ceilings good light pretty tricky angles I think I can make it perfect what do you think Eliza wants and her brand-new bedroom Eliza loves to play outside so I think she would love a tree house almost like she's sleeping in a tree house outside she also wanted a place to feel her homework and drive so we could give her a good desk and maybe even a little place for her to read that's a great idea she loves sleepovers so maybe we could give her space to play with her friends maybe we could persuade a swing that is definitely bringing the outside in we have a lot of work to do Claire let's get going let's go to get started in Eliza's new space we're clearing out all of mom's art studio furniture and the team is starting to add braces for not one but two treehouse loft beds let's get it started meanwhile jvj lily and her dad are outside putting together the frames for one of the beds let's do three and of course you can't have a tree house without a tree so how many trees we are gonna make them using paper mache so I already made the shape out of chicken wire and they use paper packing paper to protect this against the wire ready to make a tree let's make a tree to make the paper mache we're gonna use some inexpensive packing paper from a hardware store five cups of water 1 cup of glue and 1 cup of the Walter Perkins we're gonna take a piece of the paper dip it in and then apply it to the tree trunk cool so now we have to wait for this to dry before we can add the paint luckily I have a little camera magic guitars dry in a snap voila it's dry I have two different colors of brown what color do you want to use this one to give the tree a more three-dimensional look try blending different shades of brown what do you think Lily it looks like a real live tree I think so too now all we need to do wait for it to dry and then I'm gonna add more trunk branches and leaves let's make like a tree and leave keeping with the nature theme in Eliza's room I thought we'd paint a family tree on the wall that's so cool we're gonna take pictures of your family put them in frames and hang them up like leaves on the tree she's gonna say whenever I look at them I'm gonna think of them well since your mom is the professional artist I'm gonna have her sketch the tree out on the wall we are gonna work on the leaves let's get to it before you commit to your design and add paint to it make sure you sketch it out using charcoal or pencil I stain these frames green so that they can look just like leaves and then I printed out a bunch of family photos and we are gonna put them in the frames you're gonna tell me who's who really I know you know some of these people here this is grandma and grandpa who's that I have no idea you and mommy they have an age today have they what about this one that's baby do that's Eliza that's me picture look at Danny Jean you definitely see a family resemblance how do I look perfect all right Lily why don't go check on the tree progress okay tree looks good thank you I think I'm gonna put some going over the door and then we'll start painting it even if you're not a professional painter don't worry about it no tree is perfect so just have fun we're gonna let this paint dry and then we'll hang up these photos are you ready yes okay oh my goodness I think it is the best room I've ever seen in my life I love it Soho we knew you wanted a treehouse so we thought we'd make a treehouse in your bedroom I'm literally up in the trees Jamie J your dad and Lily helped build all of this you have your very own treehouse bed here you have your loft hangout spot and then right there you have your own trundle bed for guests you can have a slumber party oh and then there's a little window um it's kind of like I'm at summer camp [Applause] we added a swing this wing was my idea oh yeah I'm in the tree of pictures it's your very own family tree you know all the people that we love who made this with you mommy dad and you yeah I love this we wanted to make sure that you had drawers hooks and baskets so you can store all of your things you have a place to do art projects you can stand here and practice your violin even set your music on the easel so cool your sister not only dreamed all of this up but she built it painted it paper mache did almost about tip [Music] get more universal kids teaching
