project aims to relieve congestion at mumbai's existing airport and bolster air travel accessibility the Navi Mumbai international airport also known as a DB patil International Airport is a new airport being built in na'vi Mumbai Maharashtra India it's a second airport for Mumbai alongside the chhatrapati chaji Maharaj International Air airport the city and Industrial Development Corporation is constructing this Greenfield International Airport it'll be developed in three phases in the first phase it'll be able to handle 25 million passengers per year eventually in the third phase it'll December 31 2023 when it's finished the building will house 120 apartments and they'll be quite spacious ranging from 740 to 1300 square m equivalent to 8,000 to 14,000 square ft they are building it on land that used to belong to Shri Ram Mills limited they got permission to start building in 2005 and actual construction began in 2008 however there were some delays due to Legal challenges from concerns number five Mumbai trans Harbor link the Mumbai trans Harbor link also called the Suri navash Sheva trans Harbor link or Shri atal bhari vajay trans Harbor link is one of India's Mega projects they're building a 21.8 km long six Lane Road Bridge that'll connect Mumbai to its Satellite City na'vi Mumbai when it's finished it'll be the longest Sea Bridge in India the bridge will start in Suri South Mumbai cross th Creek North of elepant Island and end the cheret near Nava cheva it will connect the Mumbai Puna Expressway in the East and the under construction Coastal Road in the west this six Lane Highway will be 27 M wide and will also have two emergency exit Lanes an edge strip and a crash barrier the whole project is expected to cost 17,8 43 cr or about $2.2 billion they awarded contracts in November 2017 and construction began in April 2018 but it got delayed by about 8 months because of the co 19 pandemic they now plan to finish it by December 2023 and it's estimated that 70,000 Vehicles will use the bridge every day when when it's open the bridge will make travel between Mumbai and na'vi Mumbai much easier number six dollara solar Park the dollara solar Park is a major solar project planned for the dollara special investment region in Gujarat India garat is known for its vast potential for solar power generation and this project aims to harness that potential on an enormous scale this project falls under the category of an Ultra Mega solar power project recognized by the ministry of new and renewable energy of the Indian government the plan is to reach a capacity of 5 gwatt by 2030 this aligns with the Indian government's goal to increase renewable energy production to 175 GW by 2022 as part of the national solar Mission originally India aimed for 20 gaw by 2022 but they achieved this target much earlier prompting to an increase to 100 gaw in April 2018 the chief minister of Gujarat approved the dollara solar Park this project is a significant step towards harnessing solar energy to meet India's Growing Power needs number seven dollara Smart City dollara smart city is an exciting new project in garat India aiming to create a important to note that doara was once an ancient Port City and now transforms into a smart City blending history with modernity dollara smart city is a significant industrial and Urban Development project in India it's been in the planning stages since 2007 and involves two main parts an industrial area and an urban area the city will be built over the industrial region and part of it will be an elevated pedestrian friendly area known as the Gateway City area this project is a remarkable step towards creating a fully integrated urban area from scratch making it a prominent initiative in India's development landscape number eight the Delhi Mumbai Expressway the Delhi Mumbai Expressway is a massive project under construction in India it's an eight Lane Expressway that will cover a distance of 1350 km connecting the capital city delh to the financial Hub Mumbai the project began on March 8th 2019 this Expressway will be a GameChanger cutting travel time from 24 hours to just 12 hours making it much faster to get between delh and Mumbai they're also planning for the future by reserving land for an additional four lanes when needed this project is one of India's most ambitious
