hello everybody good evening and welcome to your very own by juice 9th and 10th grade Channel I'm your teacher Aishwarya and I welcome you to today's class which is going to be on the first chapter of geography that is India size and location so I hope all of you are geared up for today's class because in the next one hour we are going to completely wind up this chapter which is a very simple and easy chapter it's not very complicated because we're just going to understand some basic facts not about any other country but our very own country India so I hope all of you here are excited for today's class and I hope that my audio my video and my screen and what I'm writing on my screen is visible to all of you if it is please do give me a quick thumbs up in the chat to let me know that we are good to go and for students watching this video much much later after the live stream you can go ahead and skip the initial part of it and then watch to the part where I'm actually going to start teaching yes all right I can see that everything is good to go I can see some of you saying mom I got full marks in my monthly test or my unit test for this particular chapter now to be honest this particular chapter is a very easy chapter right now how many students here who are there in the live chat have actually read the chapter at least once right you have gone through the chapter or you have read the chapter yes can you tell me how many of you have already read it once and if you've read it once if you have to rate it out of maybe I don't know 10 it's very easy chapter right it's very factual and today we're just going to understand some Basics right so I'm not going to spend too much time teaching you anything because this right here is a very simple chapter and we just need to know some facts that are there today and we must also understand what is necessary on an examination point of view which is why I will help you out with those things yes so everybody I hope that all of you here are ready for my class because as you know when you come to my class let me just move to the side so that you can see me clearly yes so now of course when you do come for my class there are a few things that I'd like all of you to keep in mind what are those things things to keep in mind for my class first and foremost have your textbooks ready with you right have your notebooks ready with you now of course make sure that all of you have your pen and paper ready yes make sure you have your water bottle and you know that when I'm going to be discussing some of the important facts that are here in this particular chapter I may or may not be looking at your Concepts right I mean I'll not be looking at your doubts but that does not mean that you continue spamming you're telling Mom you did not look at my messages absolutely not I'm I will be looking at your messages it's just that I make it a point that when I'm teaching I teach you pay attention and I try to simplify things as much as possible but this idea is very factual right there's nothing much for me to simplify per se just need to know what are the broad things that you have to keep in mind and last but not the least whatever you've not understood once again I will make sure that I clarify it for you yes are we all ready now I request all of my students to make it a point that you all have the town you know you have the timetable ready with you right so as you all know this is the timetable today Friday 6 p.m you have social science class and of course and over the weekend you have English and Mathematics class and as you all know right every day at 6 PM you have classes here on the channel so what you need to do you need to make sure you hit the Subscribe button and make sure that you get regular notifications so if any of you are new you can take a screenshot of this right so that you know when you have to come for what class but most importantly like I said right it's important that you have your subscription I mean you hit the Subscribe button Things become easy if you're thinking mom why should I subscribe to the channel stay five ten minutes you will only subscribe automatically without me really telling you right so let's get started everybody let's not waste any more time somebody said mom is looking very serious today ma'am is not serious but I was very chill today it is a very easy chapter right yes easy peasy chapter so trust me it's super simple and like I said today as you all know right this particular topic that is India size and location it's about our own country so there are many things that we already know right we already know so much about our country we're just sort of going to gather all of this information and we're going to keep it together at one place and we're going to be a little more technical because as you all know right we are all geography students so we should understand that right so as you all know when we talk about our country India what is the first thing that comes to your mind you tell me when I say this country India yes can you all tell me what does it mean right what is the first thing that comes to our mind whatever comes to your mind yes my country okay very good Taj Mahal Himalayas culture population diverse Nation exactly how can we talk about our country without not talking about the beautiful Himalayan range right or how can we not talk about our country without really talking about the beautiful rivers that are there the diverse culture that is there many of us are so you know proud of our culture right many of them are saying we are very patriotic yes it's our motherland now of course first thing that came to all of you was when Taj Mahal right of course we know that Taj Mahal that is that is this beautiful monument and not just Taj Mahal but you know that there are various monuments which are spread across the country and of course rich in culture across different parts of our country if you go you know that many of you have we see that it is rich in thriving in culture that do you imagine not just our whole country having one single culture but our country being a Melting Pot of culture right and of course how can we not talk about population and people right we know that our country is one of the most populous countries that are there and of course if you think about India population is the first thing that comes to your mind just like if I tell you Bangalore you will say traffic no just like that so it's as simple as that I and of course how can we not talk about the delicious food that we have I mean across our country we have so many diverse food items so as you all know right our country is a Melting Pot of so many different things but today we are going to be talking about a few important things right yes yes don't get carried away by Butch cars and golgappas and everything now we are going to focus a little bit more on the geography of it where we're first going to understand a little bit about India's location we're going to understand about our country's size then we will understand about how India is well connected with the world and we're going to understand a little bit about India's neighbors right easy peasy things that maybe we know in bits and pieces across you know as we study in our lower grades right all of this we have learned in bits and pieces but today we are just going to gather everything together yes yes students don't get distracted okay now don't get distracted by puchkas also I need you all to come back now first let's talk about India's location now when I say India's location and I mean it as India's location in the world right so when we talk about the whole world map if we take it which continent now if I ask you right where are you from where is your location first thing you will tell me is from Karnataka or I'm either from you know Tamil Nadu I am from you know madhya Pradesh or I am from you know West Bengal that's the first broad thing you will tell me and then if I ask you specifically where then you will tell me Mom you know investment I'm from Calcutta so you will give me broad aspects right so when I talk about India where is India or which continent is India part of yes India is part of Asia and Asia the largest continent now specifically if I have to ask you where exactly is India located on the earth then how will I you know if I have to ask you for exact location for yours you will give me address no ma'am okay this road this Lane this house number you will give me a proper address right now of course we don't have any kind of address per se like the way we write it for our letters but when we talk about a country's location how do we represent it in what forms exactly with the help of latitudes and longitudes with the help of the hemispheres as well so we know that the country or the whole world not the country the whole world that is there is divided into two right Northern Hemisphere two hemispheres right and we know what a hemisphere is I don't need to go into the details of it so we know that it is divided into the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere now can you tell me what is responsible for dividing the world into north northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere what is this imaginary line that we are assuming right we know that it's not a hard and fast line that is there but something that we are considering what is that we've launched it in our lower grades exactly so we know that the equator is what divides the earth into the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere yes now we also know that there is the Earth can be divided with the help of the longitudes also in this manner also we can divide it as East and West now who is responsible for dividing it into East and West yes who is responsible for doing this yes it's an imaginary line or the longitude that is there which is the primary deal right so now of course based on this Division if you look at our country and our country's location we see that it is situated in the northern hemisphere right so you know that this is your Northern Hemisphere and this is your Southern Hemisphere and we see that our country is located in the northern hemisphere now if I divide it between my East and West I see that it is located in the eastern hemisphere so this is where our country is located right easy peasy but does this still give me the exact location of my country does this give me the exact location of where India is located yes or no can you tell me is it giving me the exact location no right I'm not you with just telling me it is in the Northern and it is in the eastern immature there are so many countries which are located there but if I want to specifically find out where India is I need to know the coordinates right I need to know my extreme coordinates right so we know that there are many one of course one of the important latitudes and longitudes we discussed was the equator and prime meridian but we know that there are many such latitudes that are there which help us and get the coordinates perfectly right so here we see that if we have to discuss the exact location of India with its extent how much air how much time it covers right so we see that there are extreme coordinates right so we see that we need to have a look at its extreme coordinates a little bit of mathematics which is coming in so we see that we have to look at the northernmost point the southernmost point the easternmost point and the westernmost point right so in this case if you have a look at it the southernmost point that is there is eight degree four minutes north then of course the northernmost point is 37 degrees six minutes north right so that is if I look from South north to south this is the extent it covers right this is the extent it covers similarly if I look at it from east to west I see that from 68 degrees 7 minutes east all the way till 97 degree 25 minutes east that is the lawn you know the latitudinal extent that it covers right so we see that it I mean sorry that's the longitudinal extent that it covers so now I hope all of you are clear right you need to remember these values okay little bit memory is needed but you need to remember okay they can ask you some McQ based questions so can you put a star Mark in your textbook so far we are clear right easy peasy no very simple exactly so this is not something that you need to see this is minutes seconds right that's how we represent it very simple and easy this chapter is very simple you have nothing to worry about so now of course we've had a look at India's extent but there's something very special about our country that's because there's again one very important horizontal attitude that runs across our country right so as we all know it is the Tropic of Cancer now we know that the Tropic of Cancer that is there is of course 23 degrees 30 minutes north right and it divides our country into almost divides our country into two halves right so it passes across different states of our country like Rajasthan Gujarat I mean uh Gujarat Gujarat apart bits and piece of Rajasthan madhya Pradesh jharkhand West Bengal tripura and mizoram so it almost divides it into two equal halves now how many of you are like Mom I will not remember this it is very very difficult to remember how which all states the Tropic of Cancer is going to pass through right so it's going to be very very difficult to remember this no so how will I remember the states easy peasy way simple way way of remembering this Meera goes to Grand marble temple on JCB right so Meera goes to Grand marble temple on JCB so keeping this in mind you can say that me for mizoram raw for Rajasthan G for Gujarat and tripura and of course JCB is your jharkhand chattisgarh and Bengal so this right here is a simple demonic that you can go right I mean you can remember in order to remember and understand this right so why do we say 23 degrees 30 uh 30 minutes is because of how I I will tell you to that part on how we calculate it right one degree is how many minutes is everything is something we're gonna calculate right because one degree is four minutes exactly yes so this is how we're going a little bit understand on how to go ahead and remember now for students struggling to remember these terminologies right so many of you said Mom this is very confusing so you can always remember see I always make funny mnemonics okay not funny mnemonics but funny ways of remembering for example I have 37 ways to go to North eight ways to go to South I have 97 ways to go to the East and maybe 68 ways to go to the West right see I remember very funnily like that I don't have like a specific technical way of remembering these pointers but rather okay that means 37 up 37 steps up it's eight steps down simple ways like that no see I always tell you that you have to find your creative ways I will give you creative ways but you should also find your own creative ways yes okay so now of course these are different ways in which we can understand that right and we can you can make your own I never tell you that you should listen to what I say right you find your own ways of finding it also that is well and good yes so now of course this is all about its location but when we move ahead we know that India that is there is of course surrounded by land but we also know that India is surrounded by water right and we know that it is surrounded by water on three sides which is why why do we call it what do we call India India is called as a dash because it is surrounded by water on three sides what do we use the term all what you've learned in lower grades right everything that you've learned in lower grades is coming exactly India is a peninsula because we know that at the end of the day it is surrounded on three size water is there on three sides so now here of course on the western side you have the Arabian Sea right and we also have a group of islands which is part of our country which is the lakshadweep islands similarly on the Eastern side we have the Bay of Bengal and we also have an island group which is Andaman and nicobar islands and they are part of our country as well right and we know that what they are all a part of it and even you know they play a very very important role as well right because we know that they are rich in Aquatic Life we know a lot of trade happens right so this right here is very very important to remember but see this is something you will already remember right super simple yes this is pretty much what you've learned in your lower grades only so quickly to summarize let's do it with a question which among the following statements that are there are not true okay so can we have a quick poll please with a b c d Shiva so you have three options three statements are given to you India is located in the Western Hemisphere Tropic of Cancer divides India into two equal halves extreme Southern point of India is 37 degrees six uh six minutes south which among the following statements are not true so step number one is for all of you to identify right so this right here is simply for you to identify First which is true which is false notes will be given on the telegram Channel yes I will give it to you okay very good all of you somebody's telling e for sure oh okay all right everybody very good very good yes so now of course in this case we know that the correct answer is option D right and I can see that most of you here have voted for option D itself which is 71 easy peasy because we know that India is located in the Western Hemisphere absolutely not which hemisphere is it located it is located in the eastern hemisphere Tropic of Cancer divides it into two almost two equal halves yes we know that this statement here is true extreme southernmost point is 37 no I told you eight steps South right so this right here is also incorrect the statement is false so now of course we've understood about India's location but we're going to go to a little bit more in understanding about India's size we're going to understand about how time is calculated and I think this timing part is a little bit more of a tricky part for all of you right but this right here is of course something that we're going to understand in Greater detail so now of course let's move right let's move on a little bit more to understanding about the size of our country now these are technical things that you have to see in geography I am as much as you know from bio when I come I don't like saying this but in geography you have to memorize right there are some terms which you may have to memorize which is why I I'm not very proud of admitting it but there are things you will have to memorize right so as we all know right we know that India's size that is there it total area if you look at it it covers about 3.28 million square kilometers and it occupies about 2.4 of the total geographical area of the world so if I take a whole world area only 2.4 percent right but this right here is also very very important and we see that if you look at the land boundaries we see that the land boundaries that are there see you know that India is a Penance you love so we know that there are three parts which are covered with water bodies but there are land boundaries also because it's still fixed to the landforms or the you know to land right so if you look at the land boundary that is there that extends up to 15 000 15 200 kilometers now these boundaries that are there it's not just that India is defined by a boundary that we set we know that there are various physical features also right physical boundaries rather I would say because we know that when we talk about it we know that on the Northern side and the North Eastern and towards a little bit on the Northwestern side we know that we have the mountain ranges right and then we know that from the from in what do you say after a certain point I would say south of 22 degrees north we see that our country starts to taper right and we see that it starts to taper dividing the Indian Ocean into two regions which is your Arabian Sea and your Bay of Bengal right and we also know that including so there's a large Coastal area you can see and the total Coastline that is there is about 7516.6 kilometers and this is including your lakshwadi pylons and your Andaman and nicobar eyelids right and we see that because of this yes this is one of the largest and longest coastlines that is there so this is very very important to understand right so everybody when you're talking about land and Coastal boundaries please make sure that all of you put a star mark because they can ask you these pointers and they can ask you right after a tapering point the Indian Ocean is divided into two what are the two regions that are there so you'll have to write it as Arabian Sea Bay or Bengal all easy peasy questions only but still right you need to make a note of it so that you can score good marks right so are we all clear yes what is Coastal land see along the coast right so we see that this land that you see which is highlighted in blue which is along the coastal lines the land that you find is what you call as the coastal land that is there yes I hope that all of you don't spam can we please refresh the chat on my screen thank you so based on all of these factors right so based on all of these factors India becomes the seventh largest country of course largest being Russia followed by Canada USA China Brazil Australia and then we have India right so it's the seventh largest country in the world now let's go to one point which I think is pretty interesting right so I find this very interesting and we know that unnecessarily please please uh you know don't spam right I request you all yes I request all of you to not spam okay yes so now of course a quick understanding for local time yes nah everybody's like my Indian Standard Time yeah but what is local time can you tell me what do we understand as local time some of you are here you know in South India some of you are coming from east of India some of you coming from the extreme north of India everywhere time is same five six pm you have Life Class means you will come at 6 pm and you will join 6 PM is the same for everybody but is that the same right does this mean that a cross our country the time is same that is something that we need to really understand but what is this local time local time is the time which is calculated using the position of the sun right so if all of you go outside you see the sun is right on top of you okay right above your head shining very bright you're drinking lots of water it's very hot right what will you say what time is it yes what will you say when the sun is right above your head sweating drinking lots of water right you will say mermaid is 12 in the noon but if it is on the other side and you see the sun is slowly setting three four we have this habit no feedback I think it's around 3 30 4 o'clock or when it is almost when it's like Twilight it's around 6 30 7. so we're assuming all of this irrespective of whether you have a watch or no you are able to understand this based on what based on the position of the sun which is what we call as the local time right we do this it's not like they don't do but how are we calculating this how are we calculating the concept of dying let's understand a little bit now we know that for one rotation of the earth now I'm going to go into a little bit of mathematics okay so please everybody don't mind now as you all know I'm not normally teaching math yeah but everybody please understand yes so as you all know right to complete one rotation of the earth right we know that it will take 24 hours of a 360 degrees it is going to take 24 hours right yes geomet time and 24 hours we know like one hour is 60 minutes right one not is equal to 60 minutes which means 24 hours is a total of 14 440 minutes yes so far you are all with me right you are all with me no but if I have to say that if 24 hours is taken to cover 360 Degrees to cover one degree how much time will be taken so I will do some cross multiplication right and based on this cross multiplication we'll be see we'll see that to cover one day we see that it will take four minutes right so that's what's happening but do I do you and I feel the Earth rotating do we feel the Earth rotating we don't right but what we see that as a result of the earth rotating in our perspective the Earth is still but the sun is moving but that's not the case in real time so technically if you think about it from our perspective it looks like the sadness covering one one degree it in four minutes right but that's not the case what's actually happening is the Earth is rotating now if you take between right so if one degree is recovered in four minutes we know that from say Gujarat all the way right from Gujarat all the way till arnachal Pradesh we know that there is a difference yes so we see that at arunachal Pradesh is somewhere around 97 degrees while Gujarat is somewhere around 68 degrees and if I take the difference at about a 30 degree difference and if I do the math right I see that there is a 2R difference technically between Gujarat and arunachal Pradesh so Sunrise between Gujarat let's just take Sunrise right Sunrise between Gujarat and arunachal Pradesh is there's a difference of two r's now similarly if you look at different parts of our country there could be time difference right there could be some time difference are you all clear so far so far are you all clear with me as to why there is a two hour time difference are you clear with this yes or no why there is a two hour time difference the math behind it that is what I want to know because this is a confusing part remaining you will remember yes yes you understood this no there's a math involved as much as you don't want math to be involved there is much involved in this okay I will repeat it once again you have the Earth Earth is rotating earth grow if Earth has to complete one full rotation that means 360 degrees it has to cover it will take 24 hours right one day one whole rotation that is there is 24 hours right which means that if I have to convert this into minutes I'll multiply 24 into 60 because 1 hour is 60 Minutes or 24 hours is going to be 1440 minutes simple maths now we are saying that it takes so how much time is it going to take for me to cover one degree cross multiply that is nothing but one four four zero by 360 which means it is four minutes right that means it takes four minutes to cover one degree okay simple now based on our longitudes right so based on our longitudes because that's how it's going to move it that's how it's going to rotate we know that Gujarat is somewhere around 68 degrees right I'm taking a half estimate while your arnachal Pradesh is around 97 degrees right now there is a difference over approximately 30 degrees yes so when I calculate the time in this case we see that there is a difference of two r's and now we know why right now we know why are we all clear yes we know why now of course because of this right we know that if at every point we are going to consider the time difference then if you and I want to do the same work time there will if time difference is that it's going to be very difficult to synchronize as a country you know it's going to be very difficult to synchronize which is why what we have done is we have standardized we are not considering all of this okay but rather we are going to consider a standard Meridian right and the standard Meridian that we're considering is 82.5 that is called as the Indian Standard Meridian we will consider this right and based on this right we will ensure or we will follow the time throughout the country that is governed across this Indian Standard Meridian now this Indian Standard Meridian like how all of you are telling me will pass through where will pass through or it will pass through mirzapur which is located in uttar Pradesh right now why are we considering this particular right why are we considering this particular longitude that is there why not every anything else why is it that I exactly I am considering this particular longitude yes why am I considering this can you tell me Tanish tells me Mom Center but can you elaborate a little bit and shall not be able to summarize now you can watch it right you'll be able to watch it again central location okay because it is in the middle yes it roughly right you see that this particular launch this particular Meridian although it doesn't look like it physically but roughly divides the country into proper eastern and western parts right so in the if you look at the extremities of east and west this somewhere runs in the middle right somewhere it runs in the middle which is why we are considering this particular time right and this is what we say as Indian Standard Time yes so we consider this particular thing now secondly this was a question which was there in your textbook which they can ask you now another question that is there is why is there a difference between the durations of day and night that can be hardly felt near the kanyakumari part but we don't feel that so in Kashmir which means that but you you the durations of day and night right is not there's not too much difference felt feels like more or less the same but in the case of Kashmir that's not the case why does this happen can you all tell me me because of latitudes manjit has got the answer ah you have had this question this question they will ask I'll tell you why answer is not there in the textbook and you have to put some effort right yes okay very good very good closer to the Equator exactly because of its closeness towards the equator we see that we don't you know it's more or less in kanyakumari region it more or less equal days and night the time that is more or less the same but that's not the case in Kashmir which is a little farther away from the equator right so nearness to the equator is very very important so keeping this in mind everybody here's a quick question for all of you now A and B are two places which are separated by a distance of 90 degrees right what will be the difference in local time between a and b little tricky but I want you to try and take a guess right A and B are two places which are separated by a distance of 90 degrees longitude now what will be the time difference or what will be the difference in local time between a and b very good all of you very very good yes I can see lot of you are giving me the answers a lot of you are saying mom six or six hours okay many of you have I mean I'm sorry we don't have Shiva sir in the studio right now otherwise I would have run a poll but I can see most of you are giving me the answer as six hours very good all of you very good your answer is absolutely correct simple right so we know that to cover one degree it takes four minutes so then to cover 90 degree just do 90 into four you will get 360 which is nothing but six hours right easy peasy right simple mathematics how did you ever think that you'll do maths in geography did you ever think this is going to happen right simple maths right but at the end of the day it also goes to show that you are all very smart very good tripti Chaudhary very very good right so now of course I request all of you here yes so you're almost half an hour into the class and I think we've covered the slightly tricky part of the chapter I would say because the remaining parts of it are very simple they're not very complicated yes but at the same time I want all of you to take a minute and understand that now in this class you've sat for almost half an hour but did you believe that half an hour has gone by right has half an hour gone by or no arunachal Pradesh is two hours ahead yes it is two hours ahead okay yes our banana has gone by right estate has gone right now of course if you are enjoying this particular class make sure to hit the like button on this video and do not forget to subscribe to the channel because you know that we've got you covered no matter what right and of course I can see that lot of you are very very enthusiastic so I hope that in the next 5-10 minutes we will cover the remaining part of the chapter which is the easy part right yes my why is it two hours ahead but have we just discussed right we know that because of the Earth's rotation right how does where the sunrise sunrises from east to west right which is why aren't ahead and we know that there is difference because of its position right yes okay very good all of you very good so that is again to accommodate the time astha that is why we write it in that manner now moving on to the next two portions which are the easy parts right but here from this particular topic you can get good amount of questions say some two three more questions you can get right so now of course when we talk about India's connection to the world so when we talk about India's size and location we should understand why we are studying about its location right what is so special about studying about its size and extent and area and all of this how am I as you as a child getting benefited from all of this yes there should be a reason now when you are buying a house let me give you an example imagine you are buying a house okay when you buy the house if you wanna do you know when you think about it I want to have a house wherein I can see that I'm in an area which is closer to my school right I should have a school which is close by I need to make sure that I have um what do you say grocery stores near my house right I should so that I can go in walking distance I need to make sure that there is a playground so that if at all my you know friends and their children come the children can go and play or if I have children then they can go and play right and then of course as we all know you know I need to make sure that it is closer to you know places to eat so that I can go whenever I feel like I can go and have restaurants right so as you all know when you buy a house you will think about all these things no imagine you build a house far far away okay far away in some corner you want to be you know in some place where you have to travel one hour just to find a hospital or you need to travel one hour just to find a grocery store will which house will you prefer house number one that I told you about our house number two yes what will you prefer house number one no house number two yes how it should be suitable for our daily demands right so the location here is very very important it's not just that you learn about some area saying oh Indra nagar is very nice oh you know yashwantpur is very nice but there should be accessibility right there should be ways in which I have to get right so here my location needs to be favorable so that I can do many things similarly in the case of our country its location is actually pretty favorable right and it has a very unique positioning now if you think about it it has quite a bit of a central location right we see that it has a quite a bit of central location where we see that India is a kind of country that is connected through the Seas and it can also connect it can be connected through land also right and this unique positioning is very very important because of the fact that India can be connected not only through Sierra land but it's also connected to the Eastern side as well as the western side so the western side we're connected to Asia we're connected to Southeast Asia side with the help of the Bay of Bengal and we also know that you know through land we can be connected to various of our neighbors also but this is not always the case right and because of the fact that we have this kind of a location we are connected to so many things and with so many countries and if you're connected to so many countries that means it enables chances for trading exchange of goods right but we know that this is beneficial trading is also important because this helps in the growth brings in money right if money comes in development will come in if development comes in our economy right our overall economy will grow yes so we see that the location of India is very very important while in some countries it is because of the fact that you know we have both land and water access we are able to do this we have so many ports right and we're able to do this but there are some countries which are locked by land on four sides right you take Afghanistan for example or you take you know maybe Rwanda we see that these are places which are locked on all four sides by land they don't have access to Port if they want to get to a port where they want to do trading by sea they have to travel a large area right similarly if you look at Ethiopia we see that in some cases they have huge mountains also which makes Land travel very tough so our physical features as well as our location is enabling us to do all of this right so we see that this is very very important and along with that we see that traveling like I said did not just happen by our water or through Oceanic routes but it also happened through land and we saw that there was a lot of exchange of ideas and we know that across various ideas of the upanishas the ramayan the numeral system Decimal System all of this was exchanged or it was made available to the rest of the world through the fact that there was exchange happening lot of advantages similarly what we are known for in history of studied right our country was known for spices people came in search for these spices right in our country and we know that that trading and exchange happen and of course there was muslin cloth merchandise which was taken from India to the other countries and from other countries a lot of ideas came in to our country as well right yes black pepper especially at that time it was called as black gold at one point right because of how important it was and of course we know that there was a lot of influx of ideas coming in not just that from India everything is going a lot of ideas came into our country as well for example the Mughal architecture that is there that we see especially which is prominent across that when you know the Delhi sultanate was there we know that Mughal architectural influence came in and of course we know that you know there's a lot of Greek and Roman art so whenever you go and visit places no see even if you go on a family trip or if you go out see if you're in one of these major cities right especially if you are from Kolkata Delhi Mumbai Chennai normally I visited these places very recently but when you go if you're from this places go to these monuments and observe all of this observe the architecture observe the patterns right make sure that you observe all of these things so this right here is very important to understand right and you write these things down like for example the dome-like structure exactly the Dome structure their Integra you know the integrities that come in in especially Greek and Roman architecture if you look at the South Indian temples you will see that it's very different all together right the way they have done it is very different so you need to observe all of this right you make observations so this is very simple and easy and last but not the least right India's neighbors you only tell me who are all India's neighbors now if I ask you who's your neighbor right now you will tell me ma'am shamali lives on this side is my neighbor this side and opposite side you know one road apart I have this person yes so we know that there's a lot of neighbors that we have in and around us right similarly what all our neighbors you tell me Nepal Pakistan Bangladesh yes China Sri Lanka okay I can see all of you giving me the answers okay yes very good very good so of course when you talk about India's neighbors right we know that we our obvious neighbors are Pakistan Bangladesh then we have Myanmar we have um Nepal Bhutan then of course China part of Afghanistan then we have the southern part we have you know uh your um Sri Lanka and Below nakshmi we also have Maldives so Maldives is also our neighbor so if you have to remember the country's easy mnemonic MBA done peacefully using big notebook and Microsoft computer right so here Myanmar Bangladesh Afghanistan Pakistan Bhutan Nepal Maldives Sri Lanka and China are on neighbors so if you want to remember a simple mnemonic to understand this this is your mnemonic to go right yes ma'am what is culture see culture is basically the kind of traditions the kind of practices that we hold right so if you see there are various Traditions that we do at home whether it is in the form of a Puja whether it is in the form of maintaining a house whatever it is that is what we call as a culture caste religion are quite different right sometimes your religion and all of that whatever religious practices are there are of course incorporated into culture but that's just not the case culture does not only resonate with religion it resonates to something beyond that right yes I will be teaching you economics as well don't worry about that yes so with this everybody easy peasya chapter is done how are we feeling right how are we all feeling confident about are we feeling confident at least out of 10 what is our confidence level yes okay can you tell me what is your confidence level for this particular uh chapter 10 out of 10 right that someone is there in this chapter it's very easy but you have map coming from this chapter so we will do map in the next class I'll do map skills maybe we'll do it on a smart board and then we'll slowly start building our map knowledge right so of course the easy PC chapter it is also a very scoring chapter as well so you need to know about India's location the India's extent with respect to latitudes and longitudes then of course you need to have a basic idea about its extent then of course the local time is something that we discuss India's connection to the world and how of course we've been having connections to different paths both on the eastern and western sides with the help of not just land Roots but sea roads and who are India's neighbors right so everybody with this I come to the end of today's class now here's a quick homework question for all of you the sun rises two hours early in arunachal Pradesh as compared to Gujarat in the west but the war shows same
