INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS CRUISE VLOG - Day 1

[Music] hello everybody Welcome to My Independence of the Seas cruise logs we are out here on our way down to Port Miami currently at Wawa there she is getting gas filling up this is a four night cruise going to lobid Haiti Royal Caribbeans one of their private destinations which I've never been to so I'm super excited to check that out bringing you on with me so let's [Music] go okay so we just got to the port It's 12:24 I will let you know what how long it takes to get on the ship all right so it's currently 12:35 it took just about 10 minutes to get from outside security on the ship the first first thing we did once we got on board is check in at our mustard station just so you we don't have to take care of that later on um you do have to do that once you get on board it's the safety drill we did the video before we got here in the car yes so if that's a tip if you watch the safety video before you get on board then all you have to do once you get on the ship is just check in they scan your card and that's it they tell you where to go if the ship is sinking hopefully we never have to come back here but look at Miami it's beautiful look at that I love Miami it is absolutely beautiful so yeah I guess we're probably going to go we're probably going to go get lunch explore the ship we are on the Independence of the Seas like I said and um yeah this is both of our third time on this ship we love this ship we do love this ship it feels like home I'm ready to just relax this Cruise because it's been busy we were just on a cruise 2 weeks ago but I feel like I didn't get to relax cuz we were celebrating my sister's birthday so we're making sure we got to do absolutely everything but this weekend I am just going to be relaxing okay so we just went to the dining room to confirm our dining Reser dinner reservations we didn't know we had my time dining I just thought we had late seating cuz that's what we normally do but um we saw we had MyTime dining so we came and made our reservations very easy just went down to the my time dining deck and we're able to make our reservations for the whole Cruise you can pre-book them but I didn't know we had my time dining so yeah you can either pre-book them or just when you get on board make your reservations if we did not have my time dining I still would have stopped at the main dining room because I wanted to make sure we have a private table not a shared one so just always go to the main dining room white right when you get on board so you can make sure all your dining is good and you'll be set up for the rest of your cruise so yeah I'm excited and have a great Cruise the rooms are almost ready it says they're going to be ready at 1: it's almost 1 so we're just hanging out I'm exploring the ship I'm out of breath going up the stairs Oh by shape so yeah I guess we're just going to explore the ship whoa it's probably not as cool so this is the Royal prominade it's kind of like a glorified shopping mall but it's really cool just picked up our soda cups you can get them at any bar we have the soda package or any of all the drink packages come with soda so if you have a drink package you can pick up your soda cup at any of the bars so you can use them at the freestyle machines and um we also got a coffee card we got to go pick that up and um yeah just exploring the [Music] ship are those our bags that's crazy we literally dropped those bags off how long ago like 40 minutes 40 minutes ago those bags were outside 40 minutes ago they're already outside our door so that was quick talk about service and now time to check out our room nowadays the they leave your keys right outside your door so if your keys are missing someone's in your room what oh is that a pack and play no we ordered oh we did order trulies but my friend Jose on Tik Tok sent us another thing of truly so we have three things of truly score look at this three things of trules now you can pre purchase this this is a package you can add on to your cruise it was like 38 bucks it comes with six trules in each bag but it also comes with the bag and if you were to purchase six trules individually on the ship it would be more than that and you don't get a bag so this is an awesome deal but we only purchased two but our friend Jose he sent us another one so thank you Jose for these extra at least I think it was him yeah there's also wine what do we got Michelle brute and yeah this is a really good deal if you pre purchase this before your cruise again you get six seltzers or beers and it works out cheaper than if you were to just buy the six beers and you get a cooler and you've been super excited about the cool about cooler and now we have three I'm s less alcohol for us to buy this is exciting we weren't going to have enough we were already trying to divide up the we don't have the package so we were rationing the trules but now we have more and champagne we got a knock at the door and someone brought us this I don't even know what this is there's another knock at the door thank it is Jose thank thank you yeah we all right we just had lunch down in the Wind Jammer Marketplace which is the buffet lunch was delicious um can't complain the food is a bit better than it's been on Royal I've kind of been complaining on the of the food here on Royal but um lunch was not bad now we're just walking around the ship exploring a [Music] bit [Applause] [Music] so it looks like right here they're adding the Casas which are like mini Cabanas you can rent on the pool deck they have them on a few of the other ships but not on this one but it looks like they are getting ready to add those in it is a perfect day it's perfect weather for a cruise yesterday it was literally 50° and I don't know what the temperature is but it feels like 80° and sunny can't believe how much hotter it is than yesterday it was literally 50° [Music] yesterday [Music] it's currently 4 o' we are about to sail away soon I'm currently sitting on the balcony working it's not a bad view to do so people always ask how do you Cruise so much this is how a day job is needed but I can't complain there are worse places to be working but after working down here for a bit I am going to try and head up to the sailway party and then we'll see what the night brings us sailing away from Miami we are on our way to lobed Hades super excited we've never been there before I have not but super excited to get this Cruise underway we're currently on the balcony um but we're headed up to the sailway party soon see you [Music] there I hope this one makes it in you're staying there let's see what you got okay what I got almost we're in okay this is the last hole I've been beating her this whole game but she just pulled ahead by one so we'll see who wins I [Music] win by I didn't Che you to it before we both both went I said you have to go through the surfboards on the last one and she agreed to it I was going to go them that's too [Music] [Music] easy okay we're currently at a free liquor tasting on the ship we're doing two things the first one's tequila it's all wonderful yes cheers all right here we go ready cheers not bad I am not a tequila Drinker and the second one is a coming back to bite the second one is is native to the islands it's not available in the US I don't really know what it is it's some sort of coffee it's coffee and cream coffee leor and cream mixed together Cheers Cheers it's really good I've that is good it doesn't taste like anything yeah they have free liquor tastings on all R cariban crues so um be sure to hit that up this is what the MyTime dining line looks like [Music] guys the cheese bread on Royal Caribbean is my absolute favorite thing if you don't get this you're missing out if you know you know the best dinner [Music] roll [Music] okay so we just came from dinner and now we're going to the show first we're having some champagne but um dinner service was not the best um it took us what 2 hours for dinner oh my gosh 2 hours for dinner and uh don't you take the you're supposed to but I already started okay let's there we go love that sound cheers love that sound um but yeah dinner took oh my 2 hours service was super slow we have my time dining which we had no problem getting a reservation in a time but um I don't know if that had anything to do with it but um yeah dinner service was very very slow I mean it took us like what 20 minutes to get a menu yeah oh yeah we didn't get bread until our appetizers came which was crazy we'll see how it is tomorrow before passing final judgment that is a lot so Pro tip one bottle of champagne fits into two Royal Caribbean cups for your drinking pleasure cheers [Music] some kid just called me sir I guess I'm [Music] old we just went to the casino how did we do I mean I didn't really bet but I did good cheers night one late night snack of Champions you have to go to sentos before bed well that's a wrap on day won Independence of the Seas I say we had a good day good night overall what didn't you say it was really fun yeah I'm exhausted dinner was not so fun for dinner but we saw the ice skating show we went to the silent disco party we went to the casino um yeah so the night was fun the day was fun I was very relaxing and I can't wait to see what day two brings so make sure you
