my first time watching independence day let's go ahead and watch this these title cards are so intense what is flying over the moon yo the song is literally saying it's the end of the world as we know it we love good foreshadowing if this isn't an insanely beautiful woman i'm hanging out i think you should listen to this no man a radio signal from another world let's let's yes sir radar reception has been impaired we estimate that it has a diameter of over 550 kilometers meteor no sir how do you know well sir it's slowing down get me the secretary of defense hello hi it's me that was a smooth transition i have a confession to make i'm sleeping next to a beautiful young brunette you didn't let her stay up all night watching tv did you morning george morning mr president mr president they're parade go ahead our intelligence tells us the object has settled into a stationary order part of it is broken off into nearly three dozen other pieces yet over 15 miles and with themselves they should be entering our atmosphere within the next 25 minutes 25 minutes the aliens aren't playing please tell me we're getting somewhere all right what's the bad news bad news isn't your meal penalty for disturbing my lunch and the good news you're not going to charge so i found the problem it's not our equipment there's some kind of weird signal embedded in the satellite feed as soon as i find the secure location immediately connie we have to maintain a working government i don't want to add to a public hysteria that's going to cost lives we'll advise people not to panic the best idea right now is to stay in their homes in a situation like this i don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing really so we'll see how it's going to play out towards new york and washington okay those are your me you need to get a job not telling adult to get a job and also we're introducing on yet another character jasmine neighbors moving out because they finally got tired of all these quick this is just the first 20 minutes of the movie and i feel like i know all of the characters that they introduce they've done such a good job at fleshing out these characters so far oh you shooting aliens right oh you think you're tough all right like he ain't look up or like read the news something he just still don't know he's so clueless oh another smooth transition i know i just try and stay calm why would happen don't argue with me just go talk to me hear me tell you that the signal hidden in the satellite field is slowly recycling down to extinction oh the alien's saying 10. it's like when the timing's right you strike they position themselves all over the world approximately six hours the signal's gonna disappear and the countdown's gonna be over six hours i gotta call my brother i better call my housekeeper he's trying to save everybody in his family many of us feel a sense of hesitation or even fear he he's your husband what do you want no oh my gosh oh my gosh i'm a sucker for when things connect and this movie is already blowing my mind they're communicating with a hidden signal they're gonna attack paranoia the embedding's very subtle it's probably been overlooked if oh oh i gotta go back and dissect this the script is everything it's everything right now feel compelled to leave these cities please do so in an orderly fashion like did you really expect the american people to be calm in this situation bruh we got aliens on earth uh-uh come on now you can't go you got to call them back look why are you acting like this why that's why she do have a point you know really don't think they flew 90 billion light years to come down and start a fight report to el toro find out what's going on wow you take care of yourself here you and dylan come stay with me on the face much tension in this scene through their words yes but also through movement launch code confirmed alpha zulu six eight niner standing by this presence if you wish to deploy the time is now deployed i counter strike with a window of only a few minutes you don't have the manpower or the resources to launch that kind of a campaign that this whole cockamamie plan is dependent on a machine that no one in this world is qualified to operate i've seen these things in action and i'm well aware of their maneuvering capabilities dear permission general i'd like the opportunity to try okay stephen that wow it's funny i always thought that things like these would kill me it's been a pleasure steve you too only one thing left to do hey waving at the alien number nothing but love for you he said oh oh wow drive us out of here right they're chasing us oh really you think all right we're not here we're learning here oh she's closing the doors [Music] their chemistry ah that's gonna be a lot of debris coming on earth but at least we're saved from the aliens look at the boys look at the boys yes sir going down all over the world we got them beat we lost contact with the hitler levinson nearly 20 minutes ago hold on sir i got something on radar oh it looks so good good job thank you well done captain dude not bad it's nothing the feud is over oh so this is healthy happy fourth of july daddy didn't i promise your fireworks oh and that that almost looks like fireworks that was one of the greatest movies i've ever experienced in my life i felt everything i i'm really baffled that the fact that this movie was able to carry 4k four different narratives by four different characters you had mr president you had stephen you had david and then you had russell i cared about each and every character's backstory and that is hard to do even when you have one character's narrative that you're expounding on in a film everybody felt fleshed out i knew the characters from the tiny little details to when we first saw david playing chess with his father and then his estranged wife connie in their relationship and then seeing stephen and jasmine the turmoil and in their relationship and and mr president and how people have been viewing him as he's getting too old to be president to to serve they were all dealing with these different things nobody believed that russell really encountered aliens and he was this lunatic like ex-veteran it was so much packed into this one movie at times it wasn't even about the aliens they did a wonderful job creating suspense we barely saw the aliens yet we felt fearful like they felt like a true threat to all mankind i just love the overarching theme it's not even just about independence but we as humans are coming together to to defeat this one thing that's coming up against us and we actually broke down all these barriers and walls to to come together bad i just the film side of things this movie had a campy aspect to it with those bold gray title sequences and the white flashes appearing every now and then it didn't feel out of place because it was consistent throughout the whole movie it felt like an authentic choice and it worked in the film and it was a large and grandiose sci-fi action film it's everything that you would want in a sci-fi movie and the characters were smart they weren't out here making crazy decisions that didn't feel truthful they were i loved the characters everybody had chemistry i loved this movie and in the independence day just independence day i'm gonna put this at the top of all like all the out of all the movies i've ever reacted on the channel this one really touched my heart and there was towards the end the third act had so many moments where i was i was like cheering
