un ASSEMBLAGE INCROYABLE en 2 coupes 😍

Hi, today, we're going to discover what is hidden inside this piece of oak You saw it on the thumbnail hidden there is a fantastic bit of joinery Very simple in fact, it just had to be figured out The idea is not mine, It comes from Hannah Tamar who made a 2,7 M views video Quite a good shot ! The idea came to her from Peter Seeland Who is a german woodworker (i think) It is great to see things like these moving around continents on social medias Today it has landed on my chanel If we pay attention to this picture, we can spot several things : At first these are not square sections, but rectangles in fact with 2 to 3 in proportions 1,5 times the hight or the width, put it the way you like It will be cut into this piece The 2 cuts we want are on thirds in one direction and at half on the other Not complicated ! 52 mm i'll plane it down to 50 and will give me 75 mm in the other direction I corrected my cuts on the format saw, they are nicer and cleaner now I cant do stop motion and precise work at the same time ! These are now very clean I'm going to be able to do the 2 cuts on each piece Not compicated.... a pencil... This simple joint is in fact a brace joint on the wide face and a half lap for the 2 pieces to join here the half lap goes on this small side I'll use my parts to scribe and then, let me put it the right way up ... I'll scribe all around it will be easier for those wondering what is this square, they come from Bridge City Tools And have been given to me by Bordet 74 mm divided by 3 must be 24,33 mm 24,33 on this square I draw my brace joint All this goes on the fist cut ans this on the second I'll be left with these 2 tenons, not much more If all goes well it'll work Just over the edge for my tenons to stick out a little Should be like that a hammer ! This joint creats a gap i will close up with a scrap piece These 4 pieces came from errors by cuttilg off the wrong tenons I muddled it up the tenons were too loose and i cut off the wrong ones I've got a bit of a flew right now so i messed it up ! Super glue for this piece here, right in the corner On mu left : super glue, and on my right the activator for an instant bond This way round ? Yes... fire That's done ! I'll cut off the corner cleanly if possible The Rubio on the inside wasn't automatic But it is really quick Super happy to see how it came out, with a few defaults if i'm honest on the triangle A few gaps here on the joint a little one here of you look for it overall ok and if i consider the 2 cuts i did It creates a complex shape even if the joint is simple with a bit of care on the lap joint and on the brace, you obtain a great joint the 2/3 and 1/3 proportion of a given dimention give us these square endings It might work with other proportions But having these little cubes is quite nice I find so !
