On June 11, due to heavy rainfall, a
mudslide occurred on a section of National Highway 318 in Yajiang County, Sichuan
Province, causing the road to be blocked. Following the incident, the Yajiang
Highway Division and other relevant departments promptly arrived at the scene
to carry out emergency rescue operations. Around 9:00 AM, staff from the Yajiang
County traffic police department stated that traffic control measures had been
implemented on the affected section, and the road had not yet been reopened. Local authorities activated an emergency
response plan, deploying 2 emergency vehicles, 4 loaders, and 15 rescue personnel
to conduct the rescue efforts. According to the Yajiang County Government
Office, there have been no reports of casualties so far, and the specific
situation is still being assessed. The Sichuan Provincial Water Resources
Department reported that the recent rainfall mainly affected the Panxi
area and the western Sichuan Plateau, with light to moderate rainfall, heavy
to torrential rain in some areas, and extremely heavy rain in
certain localized regions. Currently, the main rivers across
the province remain stable, with no floods exceeding the warning levels. Due to the rainfall and water project
regulations, some small and medium rivers in Ya'an, Leshan, Neijiang, and Panzhihua
have experienced slight flood fluctuations. Over the next 24 hours, it is expected that
some small and medium rivers may experience slight flood fluctuations, but the likelihood of
floods exceeding the warning levels remains low.
