Import Cost from excel to primavera 6

assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakato before starting listen number seven we will review the last step in listen number six as a course to each activity in the schedule just to repeat this step again and we'll continue to lesson number seven so now we'll open our program this is our time schedule we prepared now we are ready to import the cost before importing the cost of our time schedule we will add a resource to all the activities in order to assign the quantities for each resource so simply I'll click the first activity then I will click Add resource then I'll select the cost planning resource we agree that this will include all the costs then I'm screwed up to the end shift and I'll click the last activity then I'll click once to assign and I'll close this window now I assign the resource to all of my activities now I am ready to export this schedule to the Excel in order to assign the call story so from file I will click export I'll choose export then I will choose a spreadsheet and go to next then I will select the activities and resource assigning I will click Next then I will choose my project then from the template or modify mate and my template to ensure that in the resource assignment I have here the budget units so I will look for the budget units I remove the budget cost and I will look for the budget units but you know this is on we will modify then out click OK and click Next now I will choose where to save my file I'll save it here then next and finish I will open the file I'd say I just exported it is my file this is activities I wanna do anything in activities here I'll go to the second tab and I'm looking to change the budget units from from my coast loading sheet this is the one we prepared earlier I'll make this formula for the vlookup and both activate the ID here I'll add the vlookup formula to look for the activity ID here in this sheet and pick up this value and now I have budget cost for all of my activities I'm just copy this one then I will go to the export sheet from Primavera I right-click and paste value I'll check that it is exactly match okay now the last step are going to data tickets to : and click Next then I'll select depth or comma then are selecting a guest and I'll choose the guest and finish I will save this file then I'll close it and I will open my prom verify and from file import I'll select spreadsheet and I'll go to look for my feet this is the one click Nikias now I have activities and resource assignment then I'll click Next and I will choose import to my project the next and finish and the enclose now I'll see this a budget budget total cost now already updated for all my activities and now I'll find that something wrong happened to my import and export I just repeated this listen to tell you that you will find that the original duration all became zero and this is because of you have here in the resource assignment you have here for each activity start and finish date this is start and finish date is not matching with the start and finish date in your original schedule so simply I'll copy all the started from here copy I'll go to here to paste special then I'll go to finished it from the activity copy and I will go to place special here then I will save this one and I will import it again so this is very important step if you have the start and finish date in the resource assignment be sure that you copy paste the values here from the test tab in your excel sheet so I'll close this one and I will import it again file import from spreadsheet and select my the activities resource assignment I'll update my project then finish and let's see what will happen then close now you'll see that the original duration it's okay let's run the program and now I have the original duration is fixed and I have the budget course as already imported so this is very important step and this is common mistake if you want to if you are trying to import and export from Excel to Primavera you may fail in this point so I hope we cover this point and let's go to complete our little number seven
