my name is Vlad and I live in Brooklyn New York originally I'm from Kiev Ukraine I was a curious little child it was always one of Robins a few things of course sometimes not put them back together the world was my playground unfortunately my dad passed away and we literally lost everything my grandparents emigrated to New York and my mom and I followed synaptic Ozio business we're good I don't have an office on business I live in a one-bedroom apartment the grandparents and my mom with Kat so a lot of times I just go to Africa faith and I work from there kids are gonna love this creativity was a really big part of my childhood I really wanted to have a product that puts learning to play time this hue and an E is very forgiving the hardest part about coming to New York was seeing my mom adapt of ourselves with my dad not being around I felt like I needed to be the man in the family and support my mom and make her happy and that's all worked so hard to make this business a success [Music] what's up shark my name is Vlad and I'm from Brooklyn New York I'm the founder and the creator of probability box and here is seeking $100,000 in exchange for 20% of my company shark the future of our children isn't very trouble millions of parents and making one big mistake they value school what a play time you see is cool no children absolve by rules they memorize the recite all day long but playtime at home is when the self-exploration negative often extra takes place it is then your little sharks without creativity decision it you've killed all those things that are really important for their success every day more and more parents realizes and get their children the ultimate creative toy building blocks and that's why I created sandbox which requires no mayo and every single piece is exactly the state the one round pins a cup of each box all your models to fan and it will fall Kevin I said every single piece is exactly the same so they allow you take your beautiful face yes accelerated and click a real-life smell extremely attractive so charge in your house don't like the creativity of our children and worshipful the future welcome lunch at a time now guys I got that very nice gift stop arguing out Robert you're the protector of the cyberspace you'll be our warrior for today a lot of helmet give your daggers yeah girl you give you see but you're got your brown egg yeah it's a little bit haha well in presence that's why I'm spin blood cash for you like that very cute my bro I got some really cool accessories for you let me rip your diamonds and I get pizza I probably the deepest gluten-free that's all mark is known for eating what are your sales and so we're failing to have a 160 Kate from Amazon and from our website I see your boss sure thank you so this is just one of my difference what is it cost pride so dockland is our starter packs 1995 how much does it cost you to make cost me $3 with this starter pack what can I make that one in particular actually comes in the manual but off the bat it can go on our YouTube channel learn for my tutorials that I've made myself so what about Toy Fair even the toys you Junior last year so over there we've got great response we're just showing two prototypes what happened with lo Mart what happened with Costco what happened torture us with a big-box retailers they're generally not there to seek out new products I stole them just running from meeting to meeting and they allotted IKEA this is really cool - incidental right seating any orders there no I took some orders from wall of retailer he's glad I'm trying to know your background where do you come from originally I'm from Ukraine and actually my father came a lot of inspiration he was in the venture capital and curry house - um unfortunately very early on he passed away which kind of put me in the position where everything we had my mum and I had was taken away from us so I was crazy to think about it but since I was a little boy I knew that I had a mission so I get it all back to kind of I care for my father's to succeed him you know it's also become successful because his journey so by the time I started this business I was 18 years old so you came here wanting to live the American dream that's exactly it how old are you now if you don't mind one just one Wow did you start this business did you raise any money no we didn't raise any money I thought it would my best but at the time and we together fold our money and we finance prototyping the production what happened to the friend ah my partner was in the backend and I feel like you didn't feel a connection to the business so then I was still on part of it by he still owns 15% in 51 five so I own the rest 85 and he's not there anymore no he's not there right the other blocks I can create stuff like this I I just agree happened actually I would add we should be able to mix problem would you be able to make a watch and you have a patent on it yes I applied for two patents and yesterday got my design patent granted to you so the designers of the shape of the piece the design is exactly how the back looks that's cute I have to admit this is interesting because it does a few things availability plus the pixelation artwork is kind of different you know years ago I sold my company to Mattel and I worked there for a year and a half and I got a pretty good dose of the understanding of the toy industry I'm going to make you an offer only way I see for this to work is that you actually partner with another toy company that's going to get this into their product line they would probably license it in perpetuity pay you a royalty I would do that deal but I want 30% in other words I'll give you 100 K with a giant contingency I have no interest in investing in this unless I can put it into a very large toy manufacturer that provides marketing and distribution globally this is actually something that goes against my original strategy my strategy is to really build out a brand where it's Mississippi for these big retailers to carry my product because they have kids coming into the front door and ask me hey oh wait good luck watch everything you just outlined you made it sound as though it's a very easy thing to accomplish I'm sure you're aware it's going to take a heck of a lot of money I don't typically like the deals the offers but with his experience I think that's the deal you should consider so I'm out but in the toy space it's very difficult to to make the consumer understand a completely new product like this so long road and I Wow look I always think great businesses are built from great purpose and I can just tell that's you I will try to license it but that's not your vision I wish you all the best but I'm out what you're doing is incredible right you're grinding brewing that's there's a lot of really amazing things that you've accomplished but the toy business is brutal this isn't something for me I made you an offer and the risk you have when that occurs is you can see if there's another one or you can engage in mine and now you only have one option that gives me a lot more leverage so I'm going to modify my offer the only way this works is I'm going to be a 50/50 partner with you so Wow Vlad had one offer on the table from Kevin for 30% of his building toy pin block but with all the other sharks dropping out now Kevin wants 50% of his company the only way this works is I'm going to be a 50/50 partner with you I'll see you $100,000 for 50% we'll continue see I'll bring it to the toy industry because they all returned my call and I'll bring deals to you and if you want to turn them down that's falling but if you want to accept one of them we're 50/50 you have no chance of doing it successfully yourself so your first offer was for 30% and then we dropped out Robert and then you drop I'm sorry that's not as bad as the first thing which part of that is not as bad as Peter said so he gave Vlad the option so you can set the bar as high as you want for that to you like and basically he's paying you to be a sales rep and within the partner 5050 partners one by one the Sharks dropped out because they don't want to take on the task I happen to come from this industry so I'm willing to give it a shot that you're still in control this is your one shot to get in the boardroom of the biggest players on earth thought you should take this offer this is a good deal for you you know what stop telling him what to do I don't own the entire hundred percent on 85 so you buy take your 50% it would be coming the sole driver of the company I want 50% it and how you split up your 50% light is entirely up to you what do you think you can do it alone this is what it comes down to do you feel like your needs I help Kevin what do I do Martin a lot I think that was gonna happen eventually Oh God a lot but the moral is 7 thought he was making a better Jill you want say gradually hey you guys take care [Music] Kevin does take a big chunk of my company I am the nagas majority stakeholder anymore he is with us but I do have a charge on my team which is very valuable and I really am excited to see where this takes us at the end of it all what how many of us when you only Rose can say that the half kevin O'Leary the park there
