what is up everyone my name is phil the channels phil's and polls are back finally back with another card opening video i know you guys have been requesting new videos for a while now and um yeah we're gonna we're gonna do it that's what she said welcome back i figured we'd come back in a big way and today we have the brand new 2022 tops diamond icons baseball these are three thousand dollars a box ish sometimes more and you get four per case so quick math 12 000 case today on this video i am never gonna financially recover from this please leave a like on the video and subscribe to the channel if you have not already and we will get right into our diamond icons case i'm very excited about this i hope you guys are as well i believe it's 10 cards per box sometimes you get a bonus card diamond icon super high end if you go back to another video that i did on this channel we actually pulled the trout griffey one of one dual diamond dual auto booklet which is a pretty insane pull so hopefully we'll hit something nice in this this is actually a group break a group of guys that break with me often that are cool with it being a recorded edited video um so it's a random division but that doesn't matter for you because you just get to sit back and enjoy this opening so let's get right into it um here you can see the case is sealed obviously it doesn't matter because i can cut away at any point it doesn't matter but when we open her up it's beautiful there we have our four boxes of diamond icons that's the best way to do this let's just flip them out all right cool so if i remember this correctly let's get these other guys back here uh basically you like open this plastic ceiling and then this whole thing like kind of separates away so pretty sure that's how it's going to work diamond icons all right so we have a booklet as our very first card in box number one uh i can see it right on top so as you can see there so let's just go ahead do one of these toss that we'll get all that out we'll not spoil that back card and we will get into [Music] all right so it's a dual relic book this is our first one and we have a cut right behind it dual relic book let's see what this is going to be so probably not an auto oh but that is cool bryce harper mike schmidt dual relic book and that is to five nice hit for um the nl east dual relic schmidt and bryce harper booklet so that's our relic card and we'll go ahead and do one of these and right behind that we have a cut four of four on the cut and it is dick williams oakland a's dick williams signed him some sort of paper you're so smart i don't know but uh dick williams not the most you know valuable cut of all time but still cool that you can get cuts in this as we know all right moving on next up we have a vladi senior three of ten montreal expos velade senior next we have joey vado to 10 dual relic auto jovato feeding the pitcher there on the exchange to first next up uh here's one of those silver inks on the um it's like a carbon carbon kind of backdrop cool looking card six of ten uh george springer george springer for the j's and this looks like to five del murphy everything in this is obviously on card um two of five dale murphy nice card he signs a lot so not the most valuable thing in the world but still a cool hit and david wright is our next hit again on that sort of carbon i don't even know what you call it it kind of has like a rough texture but it is cool that the silvering kind of pops off that so nice david right there 225 next up oh that's a nice hit nolan ryan on the uh sort of shadowbox deal i'm this has to be numbered i'm sure it's numbered on the back to 25. uh 14 of 25 nolan ryan nice hit there for the ale west next up red ink ozzy smith cool hit to 25. um again he signs in a lot of stuff so not super valuable and oh that'll play five of 10 aaron judge your almvp leader in the clubhouse as it stands right now i have a lot of questions number one how dare you very nice card there to round out box number one all right so that's your first taste of diamond icons um and we'll go ahead and get right back into box number two nice mix of hits there we had some you know older bats no rookies but the dual booklet as your relic is uh that's a nice one all right box number two and we have a book right on top again so probably just a relic not um not an auto but we'll see that uh didn't give it away too much sorry for the loud crashing of trash into the uh the trash bin all right on top we have another cut which is kind of insane um dual relic book card who do we have mookie betts and clayton kershaw pretty cool would have liked to see maybe a little bit more to that with uh the patches being kind of just plain old napkins but um you know dodgers so well so that's a nice hit for the nls there actually is a little bit of dirt on the mookie so that's cool um to 10. so apparently they're putting these booklets in a little more frequently so we have a 10 booklet still pretty sweet all right let's move on see what else we got here next up ooh is this a one yeah it's a 101 cut okay so this could be good one of one gold cut [Music] johnny mize one of one gold cut for the nl central st louis cardinals that is a sweet hit on some sort of uh portrait of him very cool so two boxes two cuts can't be mad at that all right next up we have ooh that's actually really cool as well so the the relic in this is a patch that joey votto actually signed looks like a road jersey and then they they cut that up so that's pretty unique two of five joey votto uh some of his auto ink on the actual patch as well um cool hit there to five red doesn't look like we have any other sort of super low numbers in this so we have the one on one cut and then the uh to five vada let's see what we have next another nolan ryan to ten rangers and astro so unfortunately actually no it's both aos so it doesn't matter um going to the same person that always makes my life easier uh 2 of 10 nolan ryan next up dennis eckersley dennis eckersley signs in everything not the most valuable hit but another one for the aost next up is a frank thomas 225 he sells okay the big hurt then we have a xander bogart's 210. no diamond card i wonder if they're like one per case maybe that's what maybe that's what it is another guy that's uh pretty much signs in all these sort of high-end products uh one of ten barry larkin freddie freeman red ink 25 of 25 on the braves that's um an unfortunate situation that happened with him he's now on the dodgers obviously but poor freddy um and our last hit that's nice one of 25 wants soto juan soto now obviously a padre san diego very nice one soto hit okay okay box not bad we're looking for a diamond still and uh we have we're only halfway through this case so lots of opportunities there's got a lot of like filler like meh autos in that box not my favorite [Applause] barry larkins the nolan ride was cool um but at this price point you're hoping for a little bit more let's see what we can do all right no booklet in here but i thought i saw gold so we may have a 101 lurking around let's see all right let's see what we got so i think we have a relic on top which is standard yep ten of ten uh frank thomas i can't really tell what's going on here um our next card is a shadow box shadowbox valadi senior that is 2 25 10 to 25 next up to 25 acuna very nice hit for the brave 17-25 nasty patch on this uh matt olson this might of what i saw oh no there is yellow behind it i was going to say i thought maybe this was the yellow that i saw or the gold but um it's matt olson now brave but still in his uh his a stuff here all right i believe this should be a 101 [Music] mariano nasty patch mariano rivera one of one diamond icons auto that is a sick card amazing one of the best autos in uh in all of sports really and one of one that is sick a least nasty nasty hit mariano i you know set up some games for him whatever no big deal um next up red ink eloy jimenez nine of 25. that'll probably be our best hit out of uh out of this box if we're being honest that's uh that's a good one um donnie baseball he sells really well actually don mattingly 15 of 25. next up we have the uh nl leader in the clubhouse for mvp paul goldschmidt if you believe vegas and their odds goldie is a little bit ahead austin riley nice hit there for the cards 2-25 12 of 25 yankees ricky henderson on that uh carbon surface silver ink oh we have a redemption we'll save that for the end uh redding chipper jones for the braves and at least kind of hitting a lot that's nice four of 25 and i know wander is a redemption let's see if we can finally get a rookie uh let's see what we got congratulations black julio rodriguez very very nice hit of the um probable rookie of the year julio rodriguez very nice redemption i don't know what it is with the rookies and not being able to get their autos live but i did see that wander is a redemption and um there we have julio as well as a redemption but nice rookie hit finally we got a rookie and um last box 2022 diamond icons hope you guys have enjoyed it so far uh one of my favorite high-end products of the year and um i will be um opening some more stuff in the in the future so i will be more consistent on youtube all right last box [Music] first up anthony rizzo two of ten just a normal little uh little relic there wow second one at him we have a ronald acuna is that a 101 it seems like an interesting color on that no it's a 10 okay so that is to 10 nolan ryan going right that's who's behind him uh noah ryan right behind our third nolan ryan auto uh to 25 nice hit there we have it to five and that's going to be it uh to 25 corbin burns corbin burns for the brewers manny machado that looks to be from their sunday camos military appreciation which is uh which is cool so 10 of 25 manny machado patch auto um again looks like the digital navy camo cool hit there edgar martinez 25 of 25 to 10 robbing you out again hitting some of those vets that they kind of put in all this stuff um hall of famers but you know not going to sell for the craziest amount in the world no matter if you believe that they should or not next up rod crew the great rod career 12 of 25. and this should be two five i think and it's red ink oh that's pretty sweet david ortiz red ink four of five for the red sox cool hit there that with the mariano for the al east a couple really really nice ones let's see if we can finish up with uh something cool on the back end here uh frank thomas 18 of 25 on the big hurt and our last hit of our case of diamond icons 24 of 25 ichiro very very cool hit each euro sells really well uh mariners each row 24 of 25. very very nice so um really nice case we had two cuts two booklets early on in the first half and then um the judge we had a couple of cunias a soto overall i would say that was a that was a pretty solid case in this stuff you're kind of looking for like trout and the dual auto diamond um 101 booklets we didn't hit any of those but overall i would say it's a really solid case thank you guys so much
