guest today Jerry who has qualified atj exam and he's going to interact with us and share his experience how he has prepared and how he has qualified I Jam exam so first of all Jerry Welcome to our uh YouTube channel andu yourself to our students Community uh hello uh my name is Jerry B uh I'm from meala and I've cleared this Jam exam with the help of I mean ifs Channel and I've done my graduation last year and I've taken a year gap for for preparing this IIT exam and it was quite uh uh quite uh I mean quite helpful with the help of uh your channel and all and I I have uh some struggles out here and there but uh with the dedication and all I've uh tackled those problem and I have clear my I Jam let me know how you're feeling what was your first reaction after knowing that you have qualified ID Jam exam what was your first very first reaction my first reaction was I mean I couldn't believe that I clear this exam because the question on that day of the exam it was very tough so I thought I would not qualify but uh after getting the result and seeing the call off and then I just cleared the exam and it was on another level I was literally jumping all around my house definitely [Music] unbeliev let us know how you have prepared how was your journey of preparation what hurdles you have faced during the preparation Journey uh my preparation started last year only from I mean after my graduation I've start I started preparing for this uh Jam exam and first of for the I mean the preparation was quite good for a few months and all because uh I started with those kind of easy topics like differential equation and all but uh after coming to those difficult uh topics like real analysis and abstract algebra I I mean I encounter some problems here and there but as uh as I put on my dedication and all those problem were quite I mean I could overcome those problem and with the help of your channel I I watch your your YouTube channel and those videos that you post on your YouTube channel uh it really motivate me a lot and I get those uh I mean those new methods to solve problems more more understanding about the subject so it was really amazing although there were struggles but but the end result it was quite I mean it was fruitful even though there struggle also definitely so let me know uh what was your F favorite subject because there are lot of uh topics for example real analysis lineal jebra differential equation what was your favorite topic among all among all I must say um algebra algebra section was your favorite yeah yeah so see my next question for you uh why why I Jam exam because there are a lot of exam after uh you're graduating a lot of Ms entrances as well so why you choose I Jam exam uh as you know I Jam exam is is quite I mean it's quite prestigious to exam so presious and qualifying for I exam means uh I could get admission into IIT so it IIT means one of the most uh best uh I mean best uh Institute in India so it would be very helpful for me so so that I can interact more with uh I mean I could get into an IIT and then I could be I mean those University are very good so it will be helpful for me also soor so my next question for you Jer what was your motivation because in the preparation Journey there comes a saturation Point as well how do you overcome that phase and how do you keep yourself motivated all the time how you manage there come a point like you said saturation point but to get to that to because my a is I mean I want to do Master and after that I will go for further studies so I really want to to go to master that keep me motivated again and again and again like you have to do it if you don't clear I mean you could give another try but you have to clear it this time so that keep me motivated again and again sir all right okay so my next question for you so if you uh if any students start preparing for it Jam exam first thing he do he look at the syllabus and once he see the syllabus he will see algebra he will see uh he will see real analysis he will see differential equation integral calculus so there is vast uh number of topics that are present in the syllabus did that syllabus scare you at one point in syllabus scare you yeah at one point it did scared me because there was quite a lot of uh topic to covers but uh so it did scare me because you know the topic is too large and then we have to I mean you have to study them all so it quite scare me at some point but if you I mean if you take time to analyze those topic to study well the I mean don't don't just study like if there is exam next week or one month before exam that will not help but you have to study you have to give ample amount of time to study those topic if you give ample amount of time to study then definitely going to crack any exam okay my next question for you who was your role model uh role model consider a role model role model uh your parents you your teachers uh my dad okay parents is the backbone of every students and they stand behind you in your every efforts but definitely parents is one of the support system in your preparation Journey okay my next question for you uh would you like to whom do you like to give credit of your success par sir whom do you like to give credit of your success uh my parents because they really they have motivated me to do better I mean sometime I do feel motivated but with their motivation I get motivated so even though uh I get motivated they push me to be motivated I mean that's uh that's the best thing about my parents because they keep me motivated okay my next question for you how much syllabus you have covered okay during the preparation is it full 100% or some topics you have skipped during preparation J during my preparation I skipped some topic like those those topic that don't carry that much amount of marks I skipped those topic like integral calculus I skipped this topic but uh the main topic like algebra real analysis uh differ equation those topic I I did not skip because from those topic maximum marks I can get so those topic I did not skip okay there are some topics which are close to your heart okay and you keep doing it doesn't matter how much you bored you are okay you in fact you'll never get bored uh doing those topics so there are few topics uh which we can skip as well there is no harm doing so okay so next question uh what is your message uh to the students who are just started the preparation for IIT Jam 2025 what is the the last message you want to pass on the battle that you want to pass to the students what is your message my if if you're you're preparing right now do it with all your heart if you just are preparing for the sake of giving exam it's it's not that it's don't prepare because for the sake of doing exam uh it's not good but if you do it from your heart you do it with dedication you give your full time to it then definitely you're going to clear any exam and you do those of I mean you practice you do your pyqs with pyqs it will boost your I mean your will boost how to how how to tackle those problem in the exam because from pyqs you will learn which type of question come in exam so it will really boost your confident during the exam and uh secondly mock test mock test is important because moest will give you will will help you to analyze yourself how how much have you covered the syllabus so mock test and pyqs are important and learning all the topics also important sir to put your heart and soul into the preparation okay uh do the previous year question they are very crucial it will give you a very nice idea about the exam level uh mock test and test series also plays a crucial role in your preparation Journey do not skip that part because so Jerry my last uh question to you uh what what are your future plans after it Jam uh after after this Jam examination I'm planning to if I I mean if I get into IIT then I I'll do my master after my master then I I'll give my ugc uh I mean CS net exam after that then if I clear then I'll go for research field sir all right so these are your future plans so thank you all uh for
