IFISH DRONE Fishing for SNAPPER

[Music] is going to be very very exciting I'm fishing with Bobby Richards birth fishing safaris Robbie tell me are we gonna go from rags to riches today we are yeah definitely what are we gonna do so we're going to be drone fishing this morning for pink snapper or snapper fishing off the top of a dune and we're gonna be bombing baits about 300 meters I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am [Music] well there's our rigs for the day all pre-tied to nice Gamakatsu seven oh so he looks and that was once a pool noodle one of the best free colors ever invented [Music] this our little bake table got some mullet there some blue makkal we call him Simon Mack on the East Coast they're having a little bit of water here so we can follow the baits get them ready so I've got a little mullet cutlet here yeah where we got our smelled 7-o gammas here one through this way this is not finesse fishing it's all up there hook explosion yep yeah so getting that hook all the way out this one sticking it through the other side we can't quite someone where I come from yeah I work at rate yep that's really good let the bike ready go ready to go either fish inhales there yep it's not gonna not get nothing you want because you put the bait yet so far takes so long to set up you want to make sure you hook up exactly so mackerel head I love these because when the fish crunch it gets all the burly how do you read they will bring a little bit differently to the mulch junks you reading it like that measure it out this one goes in through the shoulder and parallel to the spine yeah this this frontal is gonna go right through the front of the jaw it is that's the toughest part of a big bass right it's not going to come off so this under the chin [Music] all right so this is my little magic Pro drying up gonna use today yep I'm seeing tape cover off here little pinball cover all right this is where it all happens this is the release mechanism so we attach this to the drone it's a third party mechanism it's not made by DJ light so basically that goes with one of the drone that holds the fishing line yes and then when it gets out to where it's going it releases it that's right we press a button on the remote control and it spins that little wheel around 90 degrees that's right I'm below in the old days you know we used to row high acting things out drop baits and then rode them back in be freezing cold yeah yeah we don't do that anymore the good old days this is 21st century fishing [Music] [Music] close one delicious things I've done that drone took off was doing 50 kilometres an hour this school was almost empty it's now returning to base and I've got a bait for 300 meters offshore so we're just sticking our rod holder in facing about 10 or 15 degrees forward and we're just doing a side-to-side motion and the end of the PVC is actually cutting into the ground and we put our hand on the top to seal the suction and the scene comes out we want to get that down about 50 centimeters so the gear for this fishing quite specific this is Stella ten thousand saltwater PG holds plenty of red when we're talking braid this is 30 pound braid five hundred meters we want to go out a long way the rod is custom-built ten foot six to piece and this outfits super light but very very strong it's just gonna have some work to do [Music] one thing I've noticed with drone fishing is you don't have to be particularly early so you want to get here around daylight just get set up often the fish aren't biting probably for an hour hour and a half into the session adding through to about 9:30 10 o'clock in the morning it's a pink snapper yeah good one it's a solid it's a big fish sorry what happened there this rod actually went whack whack few smaller bites and then didn't it just go nuts oh my that was this is a good fish fish yeah big fish now you've got a one this fish in three oh yeah how are the guns playing up my ears it's a good fish so what's big fresh snapping oh seven kilos okay that's a big we do get him a bit bigger than that that's a big snapper anywhere in the world but land base mate that is next level generally they fought at the start yep coming like a bag of cement through the mid 250 meters yep and they fight at the last bit as well this one's fought the whole way which Benji's Daisy yeah and I'd say it's got a good shaped wind as well gotta get hard ah ah this thing's big yeah this is the hard bit it's getting him up over the ledge just him you on the way sad you want me to go down the beach okay down here help land this fish here it comes a bit of weed on the wall but there's a big fish in there somewhere - just got to use these waves to wash the fish in okay grab it pull it up oh look at that it's a snapper look at the size of it Oh where's the way that's a big snapper look at that holy snap and pink snapper that's got to be the least seven kilos of land-based drone snapper and I've just noticed we've got a second fish as well look at this there's a pinky just here double head of snapper off the beach not far from Perth I have now seen it all well done mate you're a champion whoo this fish is going back slow for this next wife what a pretty pretty fish here we go swim mouth that is so epic now have we caught a fish in the sand but that fish was this released to slum away beautifully I love this I wonder if the good people of Perth have any idea this is happening just two hours up the road a little boy Oh a little boy here - we're gonna say mate nothing tastes better and a cup of coffee by the sea how good is it it's unreal it is so good mate what made you think of doing drone fishing I'd seen it on YouTube and Facebook and whatever and it wasn't until my wife actually bought me the drone yep for my birthday unexpected and instantly I just saw fishing so yeah how long you been running her fishing Safari the drones I've been doing post fishing suppose 18 months now yep and we've been drone fishing hard for about 10 months and what if some of you stand out captured because I've seen the photos they're impressive but what are some that come to mind some of the standout catches on the drone would be ten kilo metro snapper we caught and 14-year old fella named Josh caught that and 15 kilo Spanish mackerel up north Wow what are your thoughts mark it's a bit quiet so I reckon we'll move up the coast of it you've got a good little spot up there then get the peanuts snapper and your chart as well so beautiful make a move I think at the moment it's literally true can you give it a rough weather all anybody can smell the to live there that's all right we might pick up something at last lights afternoon as well [Music] so this our drone fishing rig it's actually about five meters long started with starting on a loop knot up about a metre and a half to three ways swivel short drop up to 700 Gamakatsu circles Snellville I was a big bait then about two liters a line another three-way civil a shorter drop up another two Cedella books you want the scale hooks you want every opportunity look that fish possible then about two meters for another freeway civil and on the top of that a light bit of probably 25 pound low end that's what the drone attaches to that takes the entire rear well Ron you run you're on a big field that's a good boy oh yeah thanks oh that's a snappin light that is so cool that's a good yeah yeah good fish sorry yeah pinky pinky bighead show yeah should we get any of it yep how long just piping out good half an hour oh this a solid fish we're both looking at the other rod and this thing just buckled it away yeah just took off now to 3:00 in the afternoon 2:30 in the afternoon Oh Chinese dude it's 2:30 yeah and traditionally this would not be the peak period we've been catching fish but we were just discussing probably an hour before dark going to be prime that's right pretty much they're saying that this is a time Paul and I would not normally fish baits in the water fish just eat sometimes and don't think about it yeah and we've had a few touch-ups on the other rods as well so we have it look every time we put a rack of three rods here something's happened yeah haven't always scored but something has happened there this thing went so hard to start when I picked up I couldn't get out of the road holder why she thought it might be right we did call this for a rate but it's had some big head shakes 99% shil as a knifing Tinky oh I just saw it it's pink just watch this way why you push it up all about using the way here it comes it's a good fish go back look at that fresh snapper but boo stop it hahaha stop that 2:30 snapper 3:30 snapper yeah look at the coloration this thing what a Kraken fish he's still full of power but that is what you call a read off the beach he's still goin harder still wash him off it's going to show you this fish look at that Mike that these are cracking fish that's every bit of six and a half seven kilos did you call number seven kilos did you anything when you first thought to put a drawing up you'd be patting snap a little video I know it's a game changer opening our eyes every day we do we learn something else so there you go talking this something other day saying what's the next big thing in fishing gonna be grab this soft plastics revolution swordfish yep and I couldn't think of it but now I know it's fish trying to get these magnificent fish that we're just untouchable the past and the waters with fishing mate nobody actually fishes him do they now on fishes here there's not a reef in sight so if your traditional land-based fishing here very very small chance of picking up a pink snapper but we're bombing baits 250 metres here next sorry gives you all that chance I'm gonna assume this guy's putting back let me just say her fishing safaris OMG now in the daytime off the beach this one this fish for a little while it's breeding wells kicking hard I'm ready for the right way here we go not the wrong direction here we guys I just take it looting guard oh they went tonight see this opened my eyes to something new
