Ice Crown | How to make a diamond crown, from soda cans?!

hey what's up guys and welcome back to my channel I love crimes and if you're also a little extra like me then join me because we'll be making this beautiful ice crown nurse I designed the crown by stitching I would a crying to be somewhat masculine so this grant will have almost no curved lines mostly straight with a lot of cutting edges and to give off the frozen effect I take inspiration from snowflakes I used repetitive patterns of hexagons I also had my inspiration from Miss whirring Miss Universe chorale to come up with the final design to figure out the gym size and placement I use AutoCAD to create a specific design [Music] now that I have the printed design is time to get crafting for the base of the crown I use this stainless steel fast maneuvering that's a mouthful you can find these at any hardware store it's lustrous and it has the perfect round shape and the main reason why I used it because it can be adjustable to different head sizes by using a screwdriver but the ring is not big enough so I took another ring without fastening mechanism placing the two together like so then a used wire to secure one end of the ring the other end will also be secured after the car is finished or the frame of the crime I need some aluminum sheet I find these sort of can have the appropriate thickness is free and recycling is great so all you need is to watch some sort of cans after you've finished thinking of carefully cut them using scissor or a using a knife like so [Music] and to flatten them the best method is to roll the sheet in the opposite direction of the curve and it will be flat now using the printed template I glue them onto the aluminum sheet then you have to wait for it to dry before proceeding to cut it so the can is tricky to cut using a scissor to cut the over shaved [Music] order harder to access detail I have to use the knife the pro tip here is to puncture it gradually assault this takes less force and way more accurate and gliding the knife against the aluminum [Music] after I've got all of the frame cut out I do some over fitting my first design plans on having the crown straight up but after some consideration I found out having the crown flare out a bit looks better this smell that in here now is the most important part reinforced the frame I use a millimeter or a thick copper wire to act structure to the frame it is strong and bendable so it works like a charm first I lay out the wire and bend them to fit the frame [Music] then I secured a wire in place using hot glue [Music] gives a nonstick clock option to flatten them what a glow is solidified [Music] our frame has instructor it's time to build a crown earlier I used two rings to form the band of the crown so that state change the two range exact perfect slot to insert a frame using hot glue to place the first piece then vented to the desired angle and curvature then I among where the next piece should be and glue it down [Music] [Applause] the frame is still very weak at this point so to structure it and to connect pieces together I added a band of wire along the equator and along the top the frame is secure and strong so now comes the fun part that you've been waiting for setting the crown with stone [Music] [Music] so guys don't do what I'm doing right here I used too much glue so the stone is floating on top of the glue and it's sliding around you should only apply the glue in a thin layer that's enough for the stone to secure and play and also keep in mind that gel glue gets tacky really fast so you should only apply in small sections [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so a few days after I finished the corral I find these champagnes yellow stones at the spike dong suit with the design so I pried them off them with white stones and it looks so much better and I present to you the crowd [Music] [Music] thank you so much for watching and if you enjoyed the video leave a like tell me what you think about results and please support my channel by clicking subscribe and hit the notification below see you next time in another art project
