I went on a nature trip and God reminded me of something amazing

all right what's going on guys so this past weekend i actually took some time off work and i was able to go on a trip with a couple of close brothers of mine people that i've known for a long time that are uh closest to me and we went to colorado we were able to go on just this trip where we could hike we can eat we did a long road trip we were able to do uh various activities like fly fishing we just rested through just different canyons did drive bys and it was a great time and as i was concluding this trip and i was just thinking about it the lord was reminding me of some things and if you think about a trip that you want to go on whether it's a retreat or some vacation or some family time maybe with some friends whatever it is there are there are risks to going on this trip right you could have you know just a bad time you could have unexpected issues you could have accidents you could have arguments you could come out of it not having the best time you could not be rested you could not be you know motivating each other growing whatever it is but if you have a trip where you're going with you know some close friends some close brothers and it is beyond your expectations you see things you sightsee you're able to witness something you're able to learn something and my friend taught me fly fishing and i'm no expert or anything like that but it was a fun time right and if you go and you have this incredible experience this trip it is mind-blowing it is something that just uh you know if you have a spouse if you have a family it's just one of those once in a lifetime moments right and i want to encourage a lot of you guys because god is standing there and saying man i wish i could have these encounters in these moments with my people and with my children as much as i had this encounter with you chris as much as a lot of us are having great and awesome engagements and retreats and activities and and vacations or whatever it is but a lot of us are missing that with christ and missing that with uh with god and god is saying man if only my people can come to me the way that they were able to see and be in awe of nature be in awe of the fun and the excitement of new activities the conversations and the rapport building and the growth and the mutual experiences that you have with your brothers and sisters if only people can have that with me and me alone i would allow them to see so much more than you know chris saw or anybody else saw in those canyons and in those rivers and in those forests that he hiked and the amazing and awesome wondrous creation that god has made but if only people saw what it would be like to spend time with me and to allow me to dictate the enlightenment and the growth and the excitement and so i was just reminded of that and a lot of us we need to be in a place where we can receive and we can be rejuvenated or we can be enlightened where we can have an intimacy with the lord and uh have that once in a lifetime moment and it could not even be once in a lifetime it could be a daily moment and so just want to encourage you guys a lot of us were running around hustling bustle we haven't taken time away to spend that quality time with with god we spent time doing all these other things we spend time you know reading about this watching this getting ahead with you know whatever activity we want to do but we don't have that activity that time set aside for with and with the lord and so i just wanted to encourage you guys as much as i had a rejuvenating awesome wondrous time as much as many of you guys have that with whatever vacation whatever alone time whatever um you know community you have with all these other people it's great but more so because god wants that with his children god wants that with you so god bless you guys and i'll talk to you guys very soon
