I Went on a $500 Pokemon Cards Shopping Spree

welcome back to the polka cave today i have a 500 budget and i'm gonna be shopping on amazon for different pokemon card items the goal is basically to be able to purchase a ton of older pokemon products and then open them up so make sure you guys stick around for the entire video if you want to see all the things that we purchased as well as all the pools we get so let's jump into it i never really look on amazon for stuff so it's gonna be kind of interesting to see what we actually find all right so it looks like a lot of this stuff at the top is kind of just like stuff where it's just these random loose cards we don't really want anything like that we kind of want sealed older products shiny star v 100 per booster box maybe i'll put that one on the back burner i i do like that set a lot i want to find stuff that i've never really opened before this is 800 what is this oh generations mew and mewtwo super premium collection yeah that's definitely a little bit out of our budget but that's pretty sick we got 500 to work with though that's a lot i mean we could get some really cool stuff okay pokemon cards is a little too broad so we're gonna try pokemon pinbox let's see if we can find some stuff here okay this is looking a little bit better now okay so mega camera ex premium collection it doesn't say the price right away but i'm seeing some older stuff in here some sun and moon stuff there's an evolutionist pack there on the corner let's pass on that one for now but i'm gonna put that one on the back burner as well mega sharpie ex prima collection box this is 150 wait wait is this like the same thing okay now this one's even more expensive but it has the sharpie cards you know what um okay yeah yeah let's do the hundred dollar mega camera ex box okay so that one's not quite 100 but it's 93 so we still got a lot to work with here let's keep scrolling and seeing if there's anything else there is okay wait oh you know what the small bit mighty proof collection box i never actually opened this up i never got these that's actually kind of cool 200 uh i'm gonna pass on that one i mean that's cool but that's going to take like a huge chunk of our budget that's like 40 of our budget oh i see a bunch of really cool boxes let's check out all these like i see at least four that look really cool umbreon gx premium collection box comes with some really nice packs evolutions back there but 200 that's a little too steep we're gonna pass on that one charizard gx box actually is really cool you get a bunch of really cool charizard cards in there the packs aren't the coolest though they're just like sun and moon based guardians rising they're like so so and it's 170 i think i'm gonna pass on this one too but this charmander sidekick collection box is actually pretty sick it looks like that's like a charmander sticker charmander card and then like a bunch of packs i see evolutions there too okay so the cheapest seller has this one for eighty dollars and then the next one's up or like a hundred plus so i think we should snag this one i've never opened this up i actually never even seen it before 80 item in the card okay we still got plenty left oh but this next one the johto gx collection box oh that's pretty cool the promo cards alone are really sick in that jumbo card back there okay i'm gonna think about that one i'm gonna keep this one on the back burner it's so hard to choose oh okay i got the tabs still up on that one so we'll keep that up in case we change our mind oh this one's tempting though blastoise gx six booster packs and some really sick promo cards i see on broken bonds i see some other really cool stuff in there 135 it's a little pricey for our budget but you do get six packs and the promo cards are pretty cool you know what i'm gonna do this one okay so right now we have around two hundred dollars left of spending come on hit fates tin yo actually i could swing that i could swing this you know what i might risk it for the biscuit on this one there's a it says it's used but it's not really used it just says that the tin i think has some cosmic imperfections but the item will come in the original packaging packaging will be damaged so there is a slight shot that the packs could have been messed with on here but for 35 bucks i think we do it let's see what happens tag team powers collection okay what what is this okay there's some good okay there's a mix between sword and shield and uh sun and moon so it looks like from around the end of the sun moon error so this could be a sweet spot let's see how much it is though ah it's 210 dang i've never even seen that big promo card in the back you guys see that it's like espeon deoxis that's a crazy artwork i think i found something this is just shy of a hundred dollars there's only four packs but the promos look amazing look at that evie and the pikachu looks sick there's but the four packs that are in there are really good packs cheapest is just under 100 bucks let's add that to the card okay we got like 60 left on our budget let's do something random i'm probably gonna regret this but i just typed in pokemon mystery box i only really want to buy one that at least has like some sealed packs i'm not a huge fan of getting all the loose cards i feel like a lot of times it's just bulk and stuff that can't be moved shining fate scene is packs though it's 80 all right it's like 20 bucks over our budget we're just gonna do it so we'll be right around 500 bucks all right so now all we do is wait for this to get here the good news is you guys don't have to wait in fact it's probably here right now one week later and we got everything in here this is going to be crazy let's do it all right it's been one week i think this is going to be a ton of fun i have all this stuff here some of this stuff got here in like kind of a weird condition so i'm going to show you guys it and of course we're going to open it all up so we got our charmander sidekick collection box this looks really cool it actually got kind of beat up because this one was just thrown in like a random like envelope with no padding like zero padding but this one was shipped by amazon so that happens sometimes but hey it's cool because we're gonna open it up but i've never seen this i've never opened it up before it says charmander ready to burn it up are you ready to feel the burn i'm ready to feel the burn let's do it this is 2018 on the back here so maybe like a four-year-old collection box and it's got some good stuff so let's just crack right into our first item and actually before we do that i have to show you something so this is that hidden fates tin that we ordered and it arrived in this weird bag and it has like this thing on here it says amazon thanks to this product has a second life i don't know it's an amazon renewed product so that's kind of sketchy because there is a chance that something could have happened to this like i don't know the packs could have been opened up or something weird but hopefully that's not the case we'll save that one for last though but let's go i'm so hyped for this guys if you are enjoying this video card 18a is the number of the car but that looks super cool that's really crispy but then we get three packs in here and i forget how much this was exactly but i remember this one was kind of pricey but not too too crazy compared to some of the other stuff but there is less stuff in here but we do have an ultra prism from the sun moon area this is cool just to go back in time and open this stuff uh another sun and moon crimson invasion pack and then yeah we actually got evolutions in here all right let's start off with ultra prism and we'll save evolutions for last then we got we still have like one two three four five different um sealed items in there just getting started with these though let's see we got a evie murkrow yadma let's go patrisso type no reverse oh moving into a toxic rogue non-hollow rare there's our uncommons it's cool to see these again because i haven't opened them in a wild grotto back there then a green coat car we're moving to crimson invasion next and i wonder how many different uh sets we're gonna open up in this opening so we got three just right here start off with a remarade we got a geodude cool stuff in this oh starvi reverse starmie okay let's get something big hey we got a regular hollow that's so cool psych energy it's so crazy so sinchino it's so crazy how much you have to spend on these boxes and then like you only know if you're gonna get anything but the thing is these boxes are just so hard to get that it's either you pay the price for them or you just don't open them up but i thought this was a cool idea 500 budget and just see what we do here but we have evolution so we flip it oh okay oh that code card's like kind of messed up there i don't know if you could scan that qr code but uh okay let's do this one um we're an x and y let's do like three from the back and let's go we start off with a potion we got maintenance and a poliwhirl onyx weedle are we gonna strike out on our first box tangela vulpix ponyta's our reverse oh we gotta write you hollow we'll take it all right from evolutions i have to like check on the back of these and see what year and stuff these came out but i do see oh there's cosmic eclipse that's right there's an evolutions pack but it's upside down some really cool eevee and pikachu promo cards back there that might be like uh unified mines there's actually really really good sets but this is called the pikachu gx and evgx special collection all right so we're going back to 2019 on this one so let's see what we get out of here oh yeah yeah there's some good stuff in here that's funny that that evolutions pack is upside down really nice promo cards jumbo cards i just wanted to pull this one out first because this looks absolutely amazing there's so many pokemon in there look at that that's so cool oh my god there's like one two three four five six there's like six pokemon in this artwork that is actually insane i've never seen this arc before this is a black star promo but maybe i spoke too soon because this actually looks ridiculous look at this eevee yo what happened to this eevee dang and that's a full art gx okay i lied i can't actually pick one of these they're all really sick look at this one with the don fan hop hip and pikachu this might be a little bit of underappreciated artworks out of this box i don't know maybe it's just me because i haven't seen him before but i don't really hear people talking about these too often and then we're ending here with the pikachu gx guys these promos are actually really valuable and this is just the raw price like not even graded or anything like that um just for there's four promos in here just to start it off but that's not it there's also a jumbo card in here as well just a massive pikachu gx for that same artwork another really cool one this reminds me of like super smash bros or something oh my god and look at the packs there's not a single pack in here that's like so so these are all bangers unified minds two cosmic eclipse let me get the second one so two times big eclipse and then our upside down lucky evolutions pack and a code card going out so now we're up to like five different sets that we're opening up so far in here we're only on our second sealed collection box all right let's go through it and oh no okay i never know uh if the code card is gonna be facing which way so i don't even know sometimes when i do the the pack trick you know like should i do it and spoil it i don't know pikachu and evie's sleeping another pikachu we got badoof all right this is going to be a got well can't be a god pack but the next one tracking and annoy burn non-hollow all right cosmic bring us the goods we can get some insane tag team cards out of this set um i think this was also maybe released in 2019 i want to say was it 2019 2019 okay should i flip it okay code card space in this way now we're going to take four from the back on this and we're gonna go straight through it and hopefully we get our first big hit even though the promo cards um alone are actually ridiculous from both of these collection boxes nose pass who about reverse oh and a ballroom so one thing i do remember from cosmic is that the pull rates are actually pretty difficult but when you get a hit you get a hit let's make it this one one two three four so many good packs though tropius absol cosmog this is like a walk down the path here with all these sets that seemed like it was a long time ago it wasn't that long ago well it just really really feels like it oh and a drama striking out of cosmic but evolutions to the rescue as always because evolution's pull rates are crazy and this one was upside down okay these code cards are just so messed up it's like they ran an ink on the code one two three three three going back and forth some different errors pidgeot smearling porygon full heal let's get a charizard pikachu machop growlithe for some reason i can pull charizards out of evolutions a lot nidoran do do a reverse oh jigs did dog trio nothing all right let's switch it up and do a tin now this is a ho-oh gx10 from oh this is actually probably the oldest one i believe this was released in 2017 or at least that's what it says um but we do have four packs in here and some other stuff so let's see what we got i don't think i've ever opened up one of these actually yeah i i'm like 99 sure i haven't opened up any of these products before which is pretty pretty awesome so oh dude that holo car looks sick i'm telling you today it seems so far it's all about the promo cards dang just for a regular gx oh no but look at dude oh no oh yo look how bent that is that's been through some some stuff i mean that is definitely a messed up card like oh it's so messed up oh no this is a cool card too i wonder if this card's really tough to grade or if i just got really unlucky i can't like when i put in this sleeve it's just like oh all right let's see what packs we got i think i might be burning shadows yes bernie shadows yo how crazy would it be we pull rainbow charizard yes we got two is it all gonna be burning shadows there's no way okay guardians rising not as good as burning shadows in my opinion oh but bro this is back when they would just throw evolutions literally and everything they're like you get evolutions you get an evolution that's what it was if you guys didn't collect back then like evolutions was everywhere they were putting it in everything because they printed so much of it guardians rising start off with that one and then we'll as always we're just going to end it on evolutions because that's like kind of like a safe bet because evolutions you at least are going to get a reverse uh well not always because you could get a break card instead but you at least get something oh victory about that's actually kind of a creepy victory though um but like going through these non-hollows is kind of cool sable eye and then our code card okay burning shadows has the elusive rainbow charizard which can be pulled out of here and i know it sounds crazy oh i guess it's crazy all right let's go straight through this one does skull nk probably nothing in here you never know though merrell and lady on all it takes is jimmy to mess up on some of these packs then you get something in the green code card it happens it happens bernie shadows pack number two these packs are like playing mind games with me because i never know if i should do the pack trick or not we got sulk nui backs come on maybe this will be it nk oh my god we're getting beat up left and right here uh i'm having a blast though i'm not gonna lie i'm having so much fun opening these packs up and we have a blastoise this pack looks definitely a little bit lighter they had a bunch of different print runs of these this one definitely looks the blast so it looks a little lighter in color but uh okay hey maybe we'll flip it around okay yeah these seem to all be going that way one two three evolutions come on it's our time professor oak's hint coughing maintenance rats attack attack charmander's psychic energy we got pikachu the og base hat growlith oh reverse pikachu massive hit let's go and let's end it with some big no it's darby not hollow let's keep digging there's actually some really big uh collection boxes left in here let's do oh this blastoise one looks crazy this blastoise box actually looks insane look at that blastoise gx full art there's a bunch of different sets in here oh unbroken bonds let's get into this oh there's a lot of stuff in here that's what i like to see so many different sets so many good promos you got squirtle war turtle and blastoise oh okay so we got our blastoise coin to start it off we got our blastoise pin next that looks really cool my son loves blastoise so he's getting this and the coin start off with our squirtle promo hollow i like how all the promos are hollow we got the whole evolution lined we got war turtle up next a pretty cool artwork then we got our blessed louise gx that's sick the full art yo so this jumbo has like a thing where it just kind of slides out under these packs that's kind of cool yo that's pretty sick jumbo cards let me know if you guys collect jumbo cards in the comment section down below all right but here's where the craziness happens we have fates collide from the x and y era then there's just so many more sun and moon sets that we haven't opened up yet as well we got sun and moon base set we got lost thunder we got celestial storm there's just so many sets we've got unbroken bonds and we got another unbroken bonds code card out this is gonna be crazy all right this is where the luck has to pick up i completely lost track of how many different sets we've opened up now but i think we'll be pushing like 10 sets like 10 different sets let's start off with xoy fates collide man i can't even remember last time we opened up one of these 2016 we're going back baby let's go we're going way back to 2016. oh there's a stumble on the front there one two three to the front all right i don't even remember half the cards that are in the set i i've barely opened this up i don't even remember this snowball car that's pretty cool deerling riolu jigglypuff carving can we do something big out of this one deerling again that's a cool reverse oh and a kabutops not hollow and now we got sun and moon base sets another set that's kind of getting up there as well was this 2017 only a year later on this one and then no no no agreed code card again yo what's happening come on i'm telling you there's got to be some good hits waiting for us in here incineroar that's a cool card oh man all right let's go i'm i am i'm still having a lot of fun though which is a huge plus because that's what it's all about guys so i'm telling myself right now no i'm just kidding i'm having fun uh do i look okay okay that's that's fine that's fine um one two three four of course you want to get the hits but i mean like listen to be able to open up like what was it uh five or no six different products that i've haven't opened up either in a very long time or ever on most of them it's crazy that's a cool spinner act evie come on zatsu oh that's crazy with the reverse it makes it look really really cool and an espeon okay that's a cool non-hollow pole i think this is probably the most fun i've had ever opening up packs and not getting hits because it's just so much fun opening up these old packs and yeah kind of old not super old but old enough where it's like i haven't opened these up in a very long time very very long time all right let's see if our luck changes we gotta save a live our luck has to change wingle we got a tracho under a tree voltorb sneasel we got a c dot ooh reverse clamp roll that's pretty oh finally we got something oh my god finally an ultra piece gx card like a gx it took a long time to pull that a pretty cool card though got like a cool circular rainbow sort of pattern there all right one more unbroken bonds and then we're gonna move into our next collection box here no no no no no no seal glider i'm telling you today seems to just be all about the promos it's all about the promo card stealthy hood reverse that's a cool dugong ride on and there's the war turtle yet again all right so this is the last collection box but then we do have that other tin that i'm trying to figure out what happened with at the end of this but this is another box where i'm still seeing more sets that we haven't opened up yet like oh no i do see steam siege but i mean we haven't opened it up yet i don't know i can't tell what that pack is back there um i don't know what that one is either but there's evolutions in here too some really cool promos this looks like the same setup as the blastoise one but i do see different packs so mega camera ex premium collection box all right so we get a coin in this one as well we also got our pin these are actually really nice all right cool but for the cards they actually are like exes that's pretty awesome to get out of here as promos and stuff so this is camera ex as the first one i also do see face collide back there and that one was a steam season but that's pretty cool and then we do have a mega camera ex black star promo as well this one actually looks even cooler and then back here in this slot we even do have a jumbo version of it a lot of jumbo cars today all right so let's get all the goodies out here we do it with steam siege and then we do have another steam siege sun and moon base set and then actually another sun moon base set faith collide another set that i barely have opened up i didn't even remember the packs kind of looked like this too that's actually really cool with the green and then we do have at evolutions and there's actually a card back here we got the spirit link the camera spirit link yeah it completely lost our second pulled gx of the day believe it or not then we got fates collide and i want to say 2017. 2016 on that one okay let's see what we get out of here that was kind of ripped a little bit all right let's let's do the oh perfect perfect it didn't show anything all right so we're gonna do three for x and y to the front and maybe this will be the one we're gonna full arts alexander spirit link bronzor mancino haven't seen that card in a while snuggles back deerling riolu oh nice hey that's a lugia for a break car we got a store likes back there hey that's actually really cool i don't even remember lugia break cards that's how little i opened that setup that's sick probably my favorite pull today so far okay okay we're stacking them up now evolutions bring us the goods and then after this pack we are going to do that tin that amazon renewed oh karina white let's go come on last three packs is where it's at come on okay let's see what we can do let's see if we can do switch cuffing we got a revive a seal charmander diglett drowzee caterpie this is the pack right here come on nidoran reverse charizard hollow from evolutions just changing up the whole opening let's go yo that never gets old that never gets old pulling that card that was it that was the pull that we needed to change this thing around look at this last three packs last three packs charizard hollow hit yo you can't even make that up you can't even make that up i don't know the lugia is really sick too all right but we got one more thing all right amazon you renewed this for us to its uh former glory here whatever that means so let's go in here and see what happened i don't even really remember what it said on the listing i think it just said it was like had damage maybe um okay so we got some oh no that's a very bad sign right there that is taped up on the side so that well actually wait you know what it's not fully broken off see that so maybe it's still okay maybe not though this is hidden face and i oh that's really loud um this oh it's hard to say but this is hidden face and i mean i think we got it for like a really good price if i recall it's got this sticker on here that might be a return sticker that might have been a return i'm not sure not sure exactly what that means but uh there's only one way to find out okay oh and it is it is messed up here so that could have been the reason i don't know we're gonna find out though it is it looks like this is the final print run of hidden fates i do know that because they put like this paper in instead of the plastic after on the last one i think it was like three or four print runs of this um okay we've got the right shoe still in there it looks okay um let's take this out that looks good so we got a raichu promo our code card is okay if you guys use this let me know if that one works and then let's see if we got sealed packs in here or if we got scammed okay they look they look good they look good i think we're okay i think it literally was just like beat up and then maybe like the seal ripped off a little bit um and that was kind of what happened to it that kind of stuff does happen when they put these things on skids and stuff like that when they get the deliveries but we do got two charizard okay oh how crazy would it be how crazy would it be if we get that evolution star start hollow and then we get the shiny charizard gx out of here let's see what happens oh i love this set what a way to end it so we got a legit box here for i think it was like 30 some dollars which is actually really cheap for these now let's go okay let's take uh four put it to the front and let's do our last four packs here and see if we can just continue with the madness all right one of my favorite sets of all time like ever geodude evie jigglypuff coffee graveler reverse and a jolteon not hollow come on hidden fates always a treat to open this up they print so many times for this set i feel like this is probably one of the most like reprinted um sort of like celebrations or not celebrations holiday type set because like this was right before it started getting really really crazy with pokemon um and yeah it was it was like in a weird time where pokemon still was able to just keep printing stuff and they just printed this i think four times i wanna say it was either three or four times um and like yes just everybody was opening this geo dude caterpie whenever you see a reverse then you probably don't have a shiny because it would be in that slot but we do have an eevee hollow two more packs come on there's gotta be at least one shiny in here maybe i know the first print run had the best pull rates from what everyone had seen and everybody kind of was showing online uh i don't know about the last print run i can't i can't remember but i know they did kind of like tone it down a little bit on the second print run i don't know about the last pronoun evie but fairy come on shiny caterpie oh reverse pikachu and a jesse james regular hollow it all comes down to this charizard guys smash the like button for good luck let's see if we can end this thing with a bang come on we can do it let's go last pack magic here that's like bent a little bit but i don't think i don't think the cards are bent uh we're gonna go four from the back all right fire for the last pack magic shiny charizard gx
