hey guys it's me minori and my pepe max welcome back to my channel hi so the other day i was looking through online like always and found something called vinyl paint vinyl paint apparently you can use these paints to paint on vinyl and it's kind of waterproof i've never heard of vinyl paint before and i kind of wanted to test it out and since it's summer i thought it would be a really fun way to test them out by painting them on some floats and playing them inside the pool but to tell you the truth i'm kind of skeptical about these paints i don't know i don't think they're going to be like completely waterproof i feel like they're just gonna rip off or peel off i am actually going to the pool after this so don't forget to watch till the end i actually customized it already i think you can kind of tell from all this paint i just bought this shirt it's already ruined with paint artist struggles well anyways i honestly don't know how it's gonna turn out i really hope these final paint works so i can use it for other projects if these paint actually work i think i could go onto a huge painting spree and i'm up for it so without further ado customizing some floats and testing them out inside the pool let's get started so this is the paint that i'm going to be using today i have white black green blue yellow and red these are the floaties that i'm going to be customizing today oh she's really cute they apparently have sequins in it so it's really pretty and colorful okay honestly this is a lot bigger than i thought but i think i can make it work i was thinking about painting it while it's flat but it turns out to be so crumbly that i think i need to blow it up first and since i don't have any machine with me i think i need to blow it up with my mouth okay here we go oh a sequin in my mouth oh my gosh you know what i don't think i can do this i think i'm going to go to my nearest store to buy an air pump and i am back buying an air pump was the best decision that i made that day because it took like a good two minutes to blow it up with a machine it would have taken me like 30 minutes if i did it with my mouth and let's see how this paint is going to work okay my first impression not bad i really thought it was going to be like really sheer that would like eventually come off i've used normal acrylic paints to paint on umbrellas before and i remember that the paint kept coming off and it just didn't end up looking that great but this seemed bad actually so for my first float i decided to make it into a donut i mean look at that shape that's a donut [Music] mixing paint is so mesmerizing it was grooming donut to me so much that i just had to make at least one donut and i also wanted to start off by making like a really simple design something that i could kind of test the paint i also wanted something that i wouldn't be too attached to so i could kind of test it first in the water test the water you know literally i'm so funny this donut literally took me like 10 minutes to make so i wouldn't be really that sad even if it gets messed up i would have gone over it with another coat of white to make it more opaque but i kind of liked how you can see the sequins through you know they kind of look like sprinkles if you see through them and i think our first float is complete so this is how my first one turned out um actually i don't really like it it's kind of plain i wanted to test it out to see how well it works and also i'm not going to put any varnish on top because i want to see how well it holds by itself so anyways let's move on to the second one and on to the second float now that i've kind of tested the paint and i was a bit more sure that the paint was going to work better i felt confident enough to step up the game so for my second one i decided to draw some pokemons and since we're going to the pool you know water i decided to draw some water pokemons which pokemon is your favorite because water pokemons are definitely my favorite and melodic is actually my favorite pokemon out of all melodic right it's a in japanese so sometimes i get names all wrong but i think melodic is the prettiest pokemon out of all ooh comment below which pokemon's your favorite because i'm just really curious which pokemon's gonna get mentioned the most i also like vulpix a very popular character i really like vulpix because the pokemon company actually sent me a vulpix shirt before because that was apparently the pokemon they thought of me after watching my videos and i'm so flattered i mean i like a lot of pokemons but i'm going for water pokemons today can you guys guess which pokemons i'm drawing just by looking at the silhouette in the middle i decided to draw the newest wait let me check the name so it's meson in japanese and it's sable okay sable in english i only play pokemon games in japanese so i'm really not familiar with foreign names a lot of people ask me if i watch movies or games in japanese or english and i'm like i watch it in the language it comes out i mean i watch harry potter and disney movies in english but i watch ghibli and animes in japanese i think that's one of the most common questions bilinguals get asked oh and dreams too a lot of people ask what language do i dream in and it like and it just at least for me depends on who's in my dreams like if my japanese friend is in my dream i'll be speaking in japanese and if my american friend is in my dream then i'll be speaking in english whenever i'm thinking or talking i mean i've been in japan for a while so i use japanese a lot but when i get frustrated or angry i use english a lot oh the eyes my favorite part i wanted to make it like extra cute and sparkly and if you know sobel he is a crybaby so i wanted to make his eyes very watery and since i wanted to layer some colors i waited for the first coat to dry and went on to paint the thing on the head he has this thing on the head it's so cute i actually haven't played the newest pokemon game i know i'm late to the game like literally but if i were to choose my first starter pokemon for the newest game it will be sable a hundred percent which pokemon did you choose by the way squirtle is the first pokemon i ever chose for my first pokemon game oh wait i just said squirtle i gave it away i wanted to keep it a secret but yeah the one on the right is going to be squirtle anyways the eyes i decided to use posca paint pens to make some delicate designs but i don't really recommend because it may come off later when you put it in the water but we'll see so this is how i drew the eyes i made four circles in total two on the bottom to make it like extra sparkly and watery as you can see i used like three colors for the blue in the middle to give it a more detailed eye just really eyes are my favorite part to draw and it's also my favorite part to watch someone draw it just looks like i'm giving life into the drawings after i drew circles with a pen i filled it up with white paint and let's move on to squirtle i added another layer for squirtle because i wanted to make it more opaque by the way i added a hint of yellow into the blue so while they are all blue they are all slightly different i think those small details make a difference and every layer takes a bit to dry so i'm just using a hair dryer here and there to speed up the process and here we go with the eyes it was actually quite hard to make a symmetrical so i ended up covering some parts with blue paint to fix it at first i was a bit unsure but overall it turned out great [Music] [Music] and lastly for the last pokemon i choose you whooper i know it's kind of random but i wanted a water pokemon that's light blue with a round head i kind of wanted to match up with the other two pokemon so whooper it is wait why does it look weird the eyes were kind of off so let me just fix it and our pokemon float is complete at the end i added a lot and a lot of varnish like i said i didn't put any for my first donut one because i wanted to test it out to see how well it holds in the water but for this one i wanted to save the painting as much as possible so i put loads of varnish on top i like it i think it turned out really really cute and the paint is actually working surprisingly very very well like you can build on top of it it's not coming off at all not bad i did put varnish on top of this so i'm really excited to see how this will work inside the pool anyway second one complete let's move on to our final one for my last float as always i wanted to make like an anime one and i know you guys like boku no hero so boku no hero it is i said it in my last last video but my favorite character from boku no hiro is to you she is so adorable and polite and actually one of the strongest characters in my opinion to those of you who don't know boku no hero tsuyu is basically like a frog she has big eyes and a very long tongue and she moves like a frog so i thought she was the perfect character to draw on a float here i'm just quickly sketching it out because i'm going to draw it digitally and going to print it onto the float later i like to draw sketches on a paper first i guess it's just easier for me i know it differs for people i usually just sketch it out and then take a picture to put it into a tablet today i'm going to be using an ipad to color it in okay so for my last video i got a lot of questions about the app i'm using and it's called clip paint studio it's not free it costs a bit every month i think it was like eight dollars per month so it could build up over time but i think it's the best drawing app that you can get i know there are lots of drawing apps and some for free but this one has a lot of features inside you can actually connect it to your computer or to your other drawing tablets so it's really convenient like it can start drawing on your ipad and then when you want to make it more detailed you can move on to a bigger drawing tablet later on a lot of manga artists use this app to draw manga and it has loads of screen tones and backgrounds inside i think you can try it out for like a month or so for free so i really recommend using this app however if you're using like a phone to draw i recommend ibis paint ibis paint in my opinion is better for like phones or for smaller surfaces and clip paint studio is better for bigger surfaces every app has its weakness so overall it comes to preference and what device you're using for drawing and so the drawing boku no hero has very clean coloring and by clean coloring i mean like not a lot of blending crisp and clean so i know it has a bit of my style i mean obviously i'm drawing it but i'm trying to make it clean and simple as possible more like anime-ish coloring than illustration and then at the very end i kind of wanted to add this extra umph so i decided to add some bubbles using a bubble stamp i'm just stamping it here and there and my tsuyu drawing is complete after i was done i printed onto a sheet of water decal paper [Music] okay so i actually need a lot of water and a really big space to make this work so where's a better place to do this other than inside the pool i'm just going to bring the float with me to the pool and i'm going to try customizing it inside the water i really hope it works and here i am let me test it in the water oh wow it's not coming off at all but if you do really rub it hard it is going to come off so i guess you need to be careful a little bit but other than that it's a complete success and i think we nailed it oh my gosh draw me like one of your french girls and my second one oh my gosh this is so adorable yeah i feel so much nicer and so much more protected you should definitely put finesse on top and it's not coming off at all like i'm scrubbing pretty hard i look like a kid oh my gosh what do you guys think i like this and finally let's use the pool to customize our last float first off you need to coat it using the spray for water decals and leave it for like 20 minutes for it to completely dry and then you put it in the water and very gently slide it off the paper and onto the item [Music] [Music] i honestly really like how they turned out and i'm actually very very satisfied i guess that's it for today thank you guys so much for watching and i'll see you guys next video bye [Music] you
