I Stay At Thorpe Park Shark Cabins - Was NOT Expecting THIS!

hey everyone welcome back so today I'm at Thorpe Park but I'm not here to go and check out the theme park itself I'm here to stay in their hotel now the hotel's been here for quite a few years but it is very interesting because it's all made out of shipping containers it's had some mixed reviews online and what's amazing about the hotel it's actually in the theme park itself so let's go and check in not this way there it's around the back it's really weird to see the car park so quiet although there is still quite a few cars around I'm assuming the entrance into the hotel must be this way as you know I've done a few videos where I've walked around theme parks when they're completely closed and quiet so Hotel out of hours here it is good evening yeah hi I'm checking in please Elizabeth sorry oh the gate's open wow really slow gate well I didn't really understand what he said at the gate so I'm just gonna continue down here it's weird the music's still playing as the sun is going down here in thought partlet you can see over to the island over there and over this way as well wow look at that Sunset looks absolutely beautiful I gotta keep talking because the music will probably um cause me problems so if you think to yourself ah we can get into the park but you can't because there's security walking around and we can see the first glimpse of the shark cabins just over there [Music] here we go it does make you think what people do of an evening when they're at this hotel because obviously they can't go into the theme park so yeah what what do you do of an evening we'll find out I'm sure perception I think on the left there it is hiya check it in please some checked in room number two three eight I've also got tickets here for the park in the morning and also I get exclusive Early Access into the park and also some cue pass tickets as well which should be good let's go in heading through the shark's mouth and what used to be in here was well still a couple of bits was old ride memorabilia took quite a bit of it down some of it's still here here it is some in two 38 which must be this way wow being by the uh the lake there's a lot of mosquitoes around you're also very close to Heathrow Airport and you can hear the planes literally taking off anyway this is my room two three eight go in cold in here yeah and actually I'm quite glad it's been a very hot day and I thought these shipping containers are going to be sweltering hot so it's nice that it's chilled a little bit too cold actually I might have to turn it down but this is basically my cabin for the evening now I have heard on tube advisors some reviews about people saying it can get very loud and there is quite a lot of young people staying around here at the moment not too sure whether how close they are to my room but I'll let you know how it goes well let's have a look around the room first of all I didn't realize that you get double beds as well as bunk beds for the price I'll come to the price at the end but um yeah two bunk beds and a big double bed I love this uh lighting an island like no other and there is also a huge TV nice padding around the bed do the bed test at the moment quite nice that they've got the air conditioning though just right near the bed so you can control that at night as well and also the switches to turn off all the lights including those bunk beds though it's been a while since I think my shoes off now this moves around a lot let's go and check out the bunk bed look at this this is cozy wow I tell you what you've got to be very small to get up here I don't think I'll be uh spending the night up here though to be honest but yeah nice and cozy there's also a little light up here obviously this is for smaller people you can definitely see it's showing its age it does look pretty grubby and dirty but top bunk or bottom bunk I guess it's easier if you're on the bottom bunk so over here a tea and coffee station which is Handy of the little cups nice and clean excuse team coffee milk and sugar Cadbury's hot chocolate nice and also we get a complimentary bottle of water a couple of plug sockets there to charge your phone and this is where the hangers are saying you close up right by the bin although you could move that some extra towels here toilet roll and we've got some drawers as well now normally when you're in an air-conditioned room the air conditioning is up top and blows down here it's below so when you're walking around your feet and your legs are absolutely freezing see this event there and there's another vent there right let's do the bed test this is actually really comfy and obviously if you're in a family here this will be uh very cozy a lot of people used to say when it's windy you can definitely hear the wind luckily it's the Summer's evening I can't hear no wind the walls are a little bit dirty but I could just turn the reading lights on and this actually makes the room nice and cozy I like how the light changes as well and of course the TV right above the bed pillows seem nice and clean to come out the bed seems okay there's also extra storage under the beds let's take a look inside the shower a walk-in toilet and shower pretty nice and pretty small tiny little sink look at that complementary shower gels and bath soap got more towels up here close the door on the other side is a pretty huge rainfall shower and this huge mirror goes all the way across so you can check yourself out when you're having a shower but yeah it's a pretty big bathroom so that's the room quite cozy obviously it wasn't going to be a big tour because the rooms are quite small I tell you what it does feel a bit like a spaceship and I think if you've got kids they'll love the fact that there's bunk beds and it kind of does feel like a spaceship but what else is there to do of an evening when the park is shut let's go and check it out literally a minute ago that was open and it's now shut which is just so typical but there's a place down there to get some drinks a coffee I think it's about nine o'clock now though but yeah nice little area let's just have a walk around to the opposite side and look at the lake for a second there I thought that was a slide oh it is it's a firemen no fire exit oh no no the 5x is there I was like is that a slide or something for the bins I think something for the bins wow just look at that view at Sunset absolutely amazing say they don't have windows that you can look out to which is a bit of a shame because you could enjoy the sunset here absolutely beautiful it's just a shame it shuts up so early so the Dome is the place where you get for breakfast but it's also where you can go for an evening meal or a snack however I am here quite late so I don't know whether it will be open but we'll have a look it's so weird to be here when no one else is around so really randomly this is open for people staying in the hotel but I mean there's not really much in here apart from The Vibes Bar and Kitchen you can come in here for dinner as well and have a look at the menu so and even in Buffet but I think I've just missed it it's the buffet finished oh it has is it okay all right no worries a little bar in here as well what's great is you can come and see out here and have a drink and look over the park it's quite Eerie just seeing the park closed and empty like this because normally whenever I've been to Thorpe Park it's always so ridiculously busy I can walk down here then by the little water park do you know we've had some amazing weather recently and whenever I've been to thorpark the weather's been rubbish or I haven't really wanted to enjoy this let's have a quick look around you know it's June but it still closes pretty early it's not until a few weeks until this actually closes at I think nine o'clock check out the beach here at Thorpe Park and swarm in the distance and then stealth is just over there is it stealth it's okay because there's nobody here I love the fact there's not many theme parks that have beaches though I love that about a thought Park there's something Eerie about being in a theme park where no one else is around and the music is still playing something unnerving about it in it well if you really want to get close to the action this is definitely worth staying in the hotel actually compared to what the reviews were saying I found it really nice really clean um yes there is a little bit of noise there is going to be a lot of youngsters staying here in the main summer season but for the price I paid which was 159 pounds and for that price I got two days worth of entry into the park which is a little bit of a shame because it's a flying visit really I've come here to check out um the hotel rather than actually go into the park and I've got to fly out very early in the morning because yes I'm heading out of Heathrow but for 159 pounds for two days into the park you get the Early Access as well you also get breakfast included um but I've heard the breakfast isn't only that great and to be honest speaking to a few people about the buffet and they said
