I paid Strangers on FIVERR to build CUSTOM KEYBOARDS!

what yo 20 dollars for this i have built over 20 keyboards and i always wondered what it's like to have a keyboard hand built by someone else the choice of switches and keycaps the way they loop their switches and stabilizers or maybe even how they mod the keyboard so that's exactly what i'm going to test today the sponsor of today's video fiverr has actually challenged me to go onto their website and hire a few builders to find out more about the quality of a building service for custom keyboards the plan is pretty simple i'll create a generic message for the builders letting them know what preferences i have aside from that i'll give them total freedom as to what parts to pick so yeah let's spend some money our first candidate is spencer odo he says he will build you a custom keyboard which is exactly what we're looking for building a full custom keyboard lubing all the switches and stabilizers and adding foam if none included 20 bucks next up we've got liners and i will build a custom mechanical keyboard he has six reviews at 4.9 stars which is much better than the previous one a custom premium build including lubing plus filming switches stabilizer modding loop plus band-aid and foam for eighty dollars our third and final seller cellar door q 32 5 star reviews and has fiver's choice lubing services for switches and stabilizers spray painting 3d printing and vinyl work 135 for cello door q i decided to send him my logo and see what he can do with it since he does vinyl work and spray painting it is officially judgement day i have with me the three keyboards fully built so what i'm going to do is rank them from my favorite to the least favorite before we start this whole video is taking way longer than i expected it to be communication to and fro from certain sellers took way longer than i thought it would i basically forgot all the parts they used at this point it's been two months now but either way i'm still going to blindfold myself and try to guess which price points fit which keyboard so let's do this i don't like that spacebar backspace not bad backspace is not bad the enter is not this is that's not bad as well the shift isn't too bad the spacebar has a lot of ticking and rattling oh god these switches are really nice you can tell that it is looped and also filmed at the same time from just pressing on it there's not much of a hollow sound from this plastic case it seems to be it's probably tape model and case full model if i'm not wrong overall i'll give this keyboard a solid 7 out of 10. it's not bad if i had to guess this is probably the if i had to guess this is probably a 80 dollar bill job next board oh wow a little better compared to the previous one but not completely perfect yet still a little bit of taking very minor taking but it's really nice really nice sound let's test the other modifiers that's good very good is it sharp shape good the rest of the modifiers are pretty busting you know as the millennials say the switches though holy these are looped and filmed as well he modded this keyboard really well i don't really know what the board is because i can't see but it is a really nice sound it's really creamy it's a creamy board if i had to guess this is probably a solid 135 dollars for the build service the most expensive one all right moving on to our last board oh it's so light holy crap that's so bad it's like there's no lube at all the enter key is not bad why is it so unstable back face pretty good what the hell is this i paid money for this i paid money for someone to do this the heck so it's so unstable i can't tell the soldiers feel pretty nice they're pretty tight i'll go with the lowest priced one i think it was 20 dollars for this okay so now it is time for the grand review we're gonna start off with the cheapest one by spencer for twenty dollars this was the keyboard it feels really good the switches we have some echo jelly blacks in there it is an rk 61 with echo jelly blacks looped with krytol stool 5 grade 0 he added some neoprene foam to the case he tape mounted a pcb looped and clipped the stabilizers with 205 grade 0 and the wire with die electric grease a pretty solid job for 20 overall i would give this keyboard a solid 8 out of 10. i actually really like the switches and the foam and tape mod he did aside from that the only flaw that i really don't like is the space bar in terms of service he's ranked number one for sure he replies really quickly he was extremely friendly he managed to send out the ball in just four days and the best part he didn't even charge me for shipping next up is linus at 80 not going to lie this was not one of the best in terms of service he ran through a lot of live hurdles i would say all the orders started on 22nd of may but he sent it out on the beginning of july there was a few things disrupting the process of me and him working together the covid situation at his country he was going on a vacation with his family and there was just not enough time for him to settle the keyboard for me so being on a more positive mindset i would believe that without all these situations happening the communication and the whole building process would be much much simpler for him and me however if i had to compare the spencer linus wasn't as friendly and as knowledgeable as spencer was spencer was very knowledgeable very friendly he asked me a lot of questions about what i prefer and what not but of course i told him that he had full freedom as to what parts to pick all these being said there's definitely a lot of room for improvement for the keyboard he's building for me the shift key could definitely be fixed really easily he could have tested it more and made sure that this was not going to happen and of course the basic modding itself i feel like he could have added a full mod or a tape mod to make it sound less hollow and it was so unstable because he placed the rubber stickers wrongly maybe he wanted it to be more angled but i felt like this was a question he could have asked me our last and most expensive build the 135 dollar build service in terms of service it was actually really good he had really good communication extremely friendly he even added me on discord to talk more about parts that i wanted and what preferences i have he gave me a brief introduction to the keyboard hobby because i say i'm a beginner he told me about the different sound profiles different keycap profiles and what i would look for in a keyboard that i'm building the only flaw that celludo q really has is in his listing his listing did state he would do basic modding vinyl work like a full mod and stuff for 135 dollars but this is also partially my fault his profile did state that i should contact him before placing an order and i'm saying all these because he wanted to trust me extra for foam and tape mod that was not supposed to be included in the 135 as well as the vinyl work because it is based on how complex the vinyl work will be all of these complications and information could have been found out earlier if i had read his profile properly and didn't rush through the whole process however in terms of keyboard this is definitely the favorite keyboard of the tree it is done really well the switches are really creamy stabilizers are done really well the foam and tape mod were all splendid as well and i was overall satisfied with the service so in conclusion i will actually give my first experience using the fiverr service a solid 9 out of 10. it got me to try a lot of different things it made me feel like a beginner in a keyboard hobby once more it felt like i was learning again communicating with people of the same hobby is also really fun and it felt like i was like waiting for christmas present built by a friend of mine so it was actually a really fun process one piece of advice the main takeaway from this whole thing from me is to contact the seller before placing your order even if it doesn't stay on their profile or whatnot it is always best to clarify what is in their listings and what they can provide for you for the price you're paying so you don't get scammed or whatever anyway based on my interactions with the sellers and their keyboard performance here are my final rankings my number one is definitely spencer i
