I just paid $100 to enter this city $100 to enter a city and I can't even stay here for more than 2 months I'm about to show you one of the most protected cities in the world where people actually live this place will inspire you just a a random animal sleeping on the street Welcome to the galapagus: [Music] it's a group of islands in the middle of the ocean 2hour flight away from Ecuador these islands have nature that you cannot see anywhere else in the world this place is one of one very very rare in fact it is so rare that Darwin himself came here to explore evolution in animals here is where he came up with the theory of evolution from the animals on this island because this place is rare humanity is protecting it and I want to show you the stepbystep process number one no more cars that's it the number of cars on the road in the entire Island cannot increase anymore that's it any new car that comes in and old car has to go out that's why they have no traffic two no more boats that's it you cannot add another boat on the water this is the maximum number of boats to protect the ocean and the Animals number three no more residents that's it you cannot come and live here here more than 2 months even if you are a citizen of Ecuador it takes more than 10 years for anyone to become a resident here number four no crazy tourists that's it each tourist has to pay $100 just to step on the island and soon it may become $400 this reduces the number of unnecessary tourists so why did I pay $100 it's because the city is surrounded by a national park number five no outside food that's it seeds or fruits or single use plastic are banned everything you bring is x-ray scanned at the airport so you cannot bring anything that is invasive to the local nature number six no polluting airports they bu built the first ecological airport in the world 100% electric plastic free and green number seven no touching animals you cannot touch any animal or feed them or cage them anywhere on the island we are 2 minutes away from downtown and look at this a random Turtle just showing up right there number eight you can't even annoy an animals in the city animals just walk freely they have priority over humans and you see them hanging out everywhere with humans there's a whole city around this sleeping sea lion it's like nature and City are like this that's why you pay $100 and that's why the Galapagos still has incredible nature and Wildlife it's thriving and magnificent like iguanas that swim in water tortoises that are huge seabirds with blue foots and Darwin's Birds everywhere this is the bird in the wild right there can you see it it's so beautiful humans can protect nature from boats to cars to Residents to tourists to airport to food to plastic we did it here in the G G apagas and we can do it in many other places around the world we can do it in your country and mine some places are just so special that we should protect them forever [Applause] [Music]
