I Opened BANNED Pokémon Cards!

we all know Pokémon is made for children or is it there are Pokémon cards that exist that were deemed too inappropriate for both kids and full-grown people and after they were printed in Japanese they were banned and never came out in English sets so today in front of me I have over $1,000 in vintage Japanese Pokémon booster packs and we're going to open up every one of them to try to find the most illegal cards in Pokémon history starting with the first Pokémon card pack ever printed Japanese base set this guy was released back in 199 oh God it stuck no 1996 that is so old I was born in ' 97 this is literally this piece of plastic is older than me and it's going to be really exciting to open because I to my knowledge each and every pack I think has a holographic I don't know the cart trick gosh darn it hold on hold on one second okay I got it I got it it's going to be one to the back okay let's rip this dude this is it's always so cool opening vintage packs and it's always even cooler opening up Japanese vintage packs cuz they came first okay so one card to the back here again is this beautiful pack art with like Charizard and like the mountain all right now let's see if we can find the world's first banned Pokemon card it might be inside this pack let's go what we're looking for oh we got Squirtle okay I mean vintage Japanese Squirtle that is just awesome but although it's awesome that's not what we're looking for what we're looking for right now is a purple Pokemon card but not a purple Pokémon the band Pokémon card in Japanese Bas oh I I thought we had it dang it I thought we had it it's Gastly the band Pokémon here is going to be Jinx no it's Kadabra come on it's Jinx which is again the world's first banned Pokemon card in history why was this card banned because of jinx's black skin which eventually became purple uh in like the main series and in the English sets so that's why the initial first ever ban happened this is the last card in the entire pack and it is a non Hollow and bent what what happened to this guy look at the card's bent it's like destroyed on the top what okay no Hollow I I forgot actually Japanese Bas set doesn't have a guaranteed Holo but other packs we're going to be opening up today will have vintage guaranteed holos so stay tuned okay so first pack opened we unfortunately did not get the world's first ban Pokémon card but no worries because we've got the next Japanese vintage pack here which features actually the second ever Bann Pokemon card this right here is a set of Japanese rocket gang which is uh Team Rocket this came to Japan in the Year 1997 so this is when uh I was born which is cool and this card right here is a guaranteed holographic yes we will have a guaranteed vintage Holo inside this pack which is like I mean it just makes opening the pack that much more exciting and actually a fun fact about baned Pokémon cards as we look for the one in this set very recently somebody submitted some baned Pokémon cards to Becket the Grading Company which is the most prestigious Grading Company in the world and Becket sent the cards back and refused to grade them I think and everyone's kind of speculating yes we got a Charmander yes bro it's because Becket does not want to grade these like inappropriate band Pokémon cards so not only are these cards super duper rare to find but they're also rare to find graded and if grading companies begin to ban the grading of these cards you might not get any more of these in circulation making them a pretty rare pickup uh if you can get like a Becket graded ban card got a jolon by the way that's a great grab now speaking of ban cards what are we looking for in here the world's second ever banned Pokémon card it's going to be green we're looking for a grimer because the grimer yes we got it we got the band card yes there it is the band grimer Pokemon card now the reason why this Pokémon card is banned is because if you look at the eyes of grimer it's looking up the skirt of the person walking past it obviously inappropriate obviously not cool and when it came to English the eyes were corrected to look a different way so cool we found our first Bann Pokémon card of the day and actually this pack isn't over we got a charmeleon because there is a guaranteed Holo after this card and it could be a holographic Dark Charizard so we got the Charmander we got the Charmeleon our Holo from the pack oh no I mean it's still a vintage Japanese Holo it is a rocket I think rocket sneak attack it's a holographic trainer so still a vintage Holo still very cool but the coolest thing pulled here is the uh is the band Pokémon card all right up next we've got this set right here which is called Dragon Blade which eventually came to English and was dragons exalted this set set came out in 2012 so actually it's a newer set I don't know if the where the rare is going to be I'm not looking at the card trick we're just going in this is a newer set and actually the most modern set we're going to open up today this is the most recently banned Pokémon card and what we're looking for in here is going to be a red mag mortar and the reason why it was banned is because mag mortar is pointing a literal gun at the camera so that got taken out uh but we'll see if we can get lucky we got a nose pass actually this last one this is the last card right after this I don't think it's a guaranteed Hollow it's not a guaranteed hit and I'm pretty sure Magmortar is a rare so we have to get really lucky to get it and oh we got it oh my God we actually pulled it let's go we didn't get a hollow out of this pack but who cares dude because we got the bandb mortar yes and as you can see when looking up close at the art on this card it is pointing a gun a Smoking Gun at the person looking at the card like at the camera so uh for obvious reasons this was taken out and not brought to the English dragons exalted but so cool we got our second Bann card of the day this next set right here is the set with the most banned Pokémon cards in Pokémon card history and easily the most banned out of all the ones we have today there we go got out of the card saver oh my God this is tough found it this is Challenge from the darkness a well-named pack for the situation this is Japanese gym challenge uh and it was released in 1999 okay it seems like most of the OG card tricks is just one from the front to the back oh and it's bent so it's a hollow o we've got a guaranteed vintage Hollow this pack wait what wait this has a star on it on the bottom this is this the rare I might have messed this up we'll see regardless we're not looking technically only for a rare or a hollow we're looking for four different band cards in this pack four the first one being the Sabrina's Gaye Trainer Card when the reason why that this was banned is because Sabrina is holding up the master ball with her middle finger yes she's flipping the camera off so they had to ban the card that one never came out the next one is actually another purple card dang it and it's another Jinx banned for the same reason the Jinx has black skin then we've got another Trainer Card koga's ninja trick and the reason why this card is banned is because on the card the mangi symbols look like a Nazi symbol so they had to take that out and that card never made it to English no ban cards yet in this set and then the final ban card that we're looking for is one that I really hope that we pull it's the hollow Sabrina's Gengar and the reason why that one was banned is because it's like in a graveyard which I guess maybe could be seen as disrespectful I'm not sure but if you look at the English version of it there is no graveyard so the Japanese version has that we've got Meowth okay four band cards in this set so far we found none we got a trainer card but not a band trainer card and we have one more left in this pack come on Hollow Sabrina's Gengar or something baned it's purple oh it's rocket Mewtwo oh it's AOL let's go dude dang no baned Pokemon card but we did get a holographic Mewtwo from this set that's so sick this is actually so cool and it looks great quality looks great absolutely will be grading this one that is a great grab wow now we've got the set with the second most banned Pokémon cards in the entire world and video this is called gold silver to a new world or in English known as one of the best sets ever neogenesis this set was released in early 2000 and has three different band Pokémon cards and I always forget to look at what the pack trick is hold on okay like the other ones this should be one card to the back and then we should be good to go okay cuz there's multiple rares in this okay I got it I got it and we're starting with a trainer card but the wrong trainer card there are again three different band Pokémon cards in this set and all three of them are trainers obviously what we kind of want to pull is the holographic neogenesis Lugia that will be the biggest hit of the day that would be insane if we get it so we'll see that's the fun part about this video is obviously like we're looking for the band cards but we're also looking for the hollow trainer dang it this is a really really cool trainer look there's like a bunch of Pokémon like flying around there's like music but it's not the band one or one of the three band ones which are the arcade game trainer which was banned because well it represents gambling it's like kind of like a a thing from inside of a casino which is ironic because what are we doing we open Pokemon cards then we've got the trainer card flip game dang it another we got the handy 808 trainer not a band One the card flip game trainer card again same reason it just you know it resembles a casino band for gambling this is like a kids game and then the third one is definitely the funniest one probably the funniest one of the day it's the moooo milk card which is one of my favorite cards ever and why was this band I don't know dude there's just a lot of weird stuff going on on the card it's kind of sus you know trainer dang it another trainer not the band trainer and then we've got one more card left which means we could get a freaking Lugia right now I would prefer that so there's three different band cards in this set we didn't get any of them but we did get a holographic neogenesis vintage aeril very cool this definitely isn't one of the biggest hits in the Set uh but this is still very cool it's still a hollow vintage card uh from neogenesis so still a great great grab but no band cards and finally we have ourselves this pack of leaders Stadium or Japanese uh gym Heroes well English gemm Heroes so this is the other gym set I'm not even going to check the card trick I'm just going to assume it's one to the back because all of them have been like that and the card's bent so it means it's probably a hollow okay let's see what we can find in this set there's only one single band card and it's actually another trainer card it seems like the trainer cards have consistently been banned well I guess they started with some weird Arts the band Pokémon card in this set is Misty's tears it's the Misty kind of reaching out uh and then holding the what it the staru and the reason why we got the Erica with this is such a weird kind of a weird like what's going on in here you know what I'm saying what is what is happening it's room it's pretty obvious as to why the uh misti's tears card was banned uh mti's naked in the card like nude that's not cool that's not allowed so that's why that was banned and then uh in English it looks completely different so we'll see if we can end up finding this card we've got a couple more here we're looking for a train well there's okay there's MTI and Staryu so it's like the wrong Misty Staryu or I guess the right one depending on what you're looking for here we've got Misty's horsey and then one more card in the back final one will be oh Sabrina's Dragon Aire holographic so didn't find the band One in this pack but we get another vintage Japanese Holo which is fantastic and that was our
