employees so that's the hope here let's get right into a new game ok so a startup usually has kind of a dumb name spelled stupidly right so let's go with how about Tecna 5 not startup enough how about like that Pam ok fine we'll get the small building ok first things first we got to set up a desk for our CEO Chad broski let's put it right over here and just so everybody knows that surround Chad's desk with plants there we go that's how you know he's the CEO now we got to sit him down so we'll just click on this desk here Oh yep there's his full name I'll just scroll kind of slowly so if you want oh you can pause and read the whole thing there he is just sitting there stock still hands on the wrong keys and you know he cares about his company because his first day of work is on a Saturday now we got to get she had to do some head hunting if there's one thing I know from working at startups myselves the only thing anyone actually cares about our developers so we'll start with those Wow look at Chad go that is some extreme head hunting he's doing let's have you search for some designers now there we go Chad yes sir designers aw man what does it all mean so we're gonna sort by the lowest speed because I'm gonna assume that that means we can pay them the least amount of money so gussy let's start with you salary expectation not available well Gussie I guess all the powers in my hands then let's start with a cool 3000 and no signing bonus see how you deal with that counter-offered with 3,800 okay we're gonna offer 3,300 the percentage on these smiley faces keeps going down which I think it means if it gets too low they start to get a little bit snippy with you yep the negotiation is starting to annoy her so let's go up to 3400 there we go she accepted it 3,400 we got our first designer let's see if we can hire Sylvia ball here 3,600 no signing bonus I'm starting to think people don't need signing bonuses 5,800 oh you developers we're gonna need some more desks for our fine people I guess we'll just put them all against the back wall here just so long as the CEO can survey all he sees let's put some plants around them so they can never go home Pam wants us to research some stuff so let's see unlock the dev kits the designer kits and a landing page now we need to add that feature of a landing page and it's currently level zero of zero cool how effective so what we need to do is upgrade it but in order to upgrade it we need these four core components and we get those because as you can see they're created by a designer okay so I think all we do is we just tell this designer oh yeah so we just click on and they'll start making them so let's just I don't know click a bunch of these here you go yeah make all those and same with you guys I need you to develop all of these things all the database stuff and the UI stuff and Luis you sit over here and research forever but first I want you to start training because I want your speed to get up so that you can research even faster oh yeah look at everyone go that's what I like to see just this weird office with plants and people so then fading out of existence like that I've come to realize that's their version of them going home when they go home for the night they leave like a ghost imprint of where they work each one of these people too has like demands so like Hilda here really really needs a whiteboard we'll work on that stuff okay we have all our components now we can now upgrade to level 1 of a landing page whatever that means tada oh wow your landing page will definitely make people excited about all my stars everything is so cheap all we need is a bit of marketing to get some traffic go to your website and select the marketing tab ok here we are let's make a campaign for do an email campaign that we're gonna promote the landing page any gender and we can't click on anything else so go ahead and create that campaign oh yeah see that's looking pretty good so I don't know what to have our CEO do so I've just had him training that looks like he reached the end of it I guess let's upgrade him to an intermediate CEO are you sure you want to upgrade Chad broski to level intermediate of course he's the CEO just upgrade him yay oh yeah Louise look at that you're almost intermediate level at researching wow you're really researching quite fast actually Louise I think it was worth it we've got all these features we can add we have to research them to unlock them so if we hop on over to our research department here let's unlock item listing crap we need a lead developer now Chad I'm gonna need you to have to find me a lead developer please look for it look for it look for it ank you oh he only wants four thousand it lets open negotiations at twenty five excuse me this simply will not do Jackson let's temper our expectations here Jackson this is unacceptable Chad find me more candidates let's unlock this lead developer kit we're gonna need that for one day when we actually hire a lead developer so now we can research both salary expectation and demands if I just click this will it automatically do it are you sure you want to instantly hire this candidate for 4904 yeah sure why not we got a clear space by him the crappiest desk let's have you research all these components whatever they are there's some trickiness to this like to make these things it requires having these other modules so the departments have to work with each other on this as long as everyone's hands are wildly moving when they're at work that's all that really matters to me let's go ahead and add a new feature called item listing allows your users to view and create listings for items for sale perfect great work your first real feature have you noticed the smiley in the top right corner of the features tab this is indicating how satisfied your users are currently they are not too happy because your new feature is too low a level yah-yah-yah high relie developer I get it so pretty much here's how this goes everyone comes to work they make one of these various components those components end up working for someone else's stuff our lead developer came through and made all the components we needed tada whoo sixty thousand dollar bonus blooper buy his offers Lewis cook researcher a significantly higher salary you want to counter the offer with a thing and a thing fine here I spent so much time training you don't go anywhere or I'm gonna be pissed well you know what let's go in an upgrade to furniture pack two here Oh would you look at that a coffee maker gonna go all the way over here you people won't even be able to get to it but at least you know it's there held it's not happy about anything else but at least the coffee machines there let's not skimp on the plants here yeah this is a hundred bucks a plant well spent thankfully our registered users continue to climb despite their mediocre satisfaction we also have to worry about server load which is currently just fine by home so many users I have to admit people here at Johnston invest are starting to bet on your success we are very impressed now we need to talk about servers as you start to add an upgrade features more compute units will be required start by hiring assisted min next add one mini cloud server okay whatever clear out some of the plants a desk down right here alright Chad find me assisted min 47 93 sounds good Tilley you're hired let's have you start working on all these components as always I don't know what they do I just know I need them made now we can add an instance to our cloud servers or whatever and because we hit a milestone they just keep giving us money now we're gonna add a feature that's gonna make everybody happy text ads by the sad-faced little buddy it's almost like people don't want text ads we need a sales executive to take care of all of this stuff for the ads find us a sales rep that seems like the perfect space for a desk there you go you look just like the other person sitting over there same pants same shirt same everything how did I not notice until now that we're an office full of clones oh yeah good news we're making money now eighty-four whole dollars the next milestone we need to hit is to increase workstations to twenty people I think we can possibly make it more cozy in here my favorite part of this might honestly be that we can pick this dude up he just types furiously forever he doesn't care what we do - um ah man we can't put more in all right fine we'll upgrade offices medium building 20 maximum workstations okay I'm glad that it kept our existing layout just like this look at all the space we have now which means we can get the coffee maker even further away from everybody and we can put our CEO in an even bigger pile of plants there we go CEO looks nice and healthy in this pile of plants over there just because we have more space doesn't mean we're gonna make this any more comfortable for anybody it's put everyone in a nice big uncomfortable grid we'll put this one on the end so these people can't even get out they wanted to alright so one of the next positions we need to unlock as a marketer or as I'm gonna call them a market here four thousand Russell we have ourselves a winner now Russell has something to do like copywriting and text format image format all kinds of stuff that no one cares about the reason for that is they're gonna go over to marketing here and we're gonna do a sweet sweet text ad which requires those two components we're gonna promote the landing page to all genders all ages go for it dude look at our users go I like it because they really vaguely kinda like what we're doling out but not really oh my god here we go we're gonna hit our next milestone which is a hundred thousand users congratulations on the astounding growth of all my stars everything is so cheap we need to talk about frameworks right now what you're using a free framework which simply won't be able to handle the feature levels that you'll need in the future to upgrade your framework click the Upgrade button in the top right corner of the websites features tab so let's hit upgrade and see what happens oh I have to research it fine fine we'll research it there it is cute framework no he or acute framework now let's go back to that screen and try to have a little gravitas this time installed great choice a new framework allows you to reach much higher future levels ok it's time for us to start up our server farm finally which we're gonna go with basement hosting here welcome to the basement everybody oh wow that's a pleasant sound he's still my heart the excitement never stops around here so let's go ahead and put a rack right there like I was not expecting this at all all right add device I guess we need to buy all of these and let's put the cash server down there and the database in the middle for maximum airflow yeah that's what it is okay we did it for best airflow let's place this guy right in the center so that when you bring your bodies down here at least you have something to hide it behind and hey check it out oh my stars everything is so cheap is currently going viral and a DDoS attack we're getting all the good stuff today well that doesn't look very good absurd it'll be fine people are ok with that kind of terrible speed right right you know what these text ads just aren't cutting it we're not making money with these so if we're gonna replace that feature with a different exciting feature called video ads everybody's favorite yet is very annoying to the user but generated revenue as a hundred percent higher oh my god we did it we finally turned a profit all it took was switching to video ads and selling our so I like seeing all those green numbers means are actually turning a profit means that people love us Oh God all I know is that we're gonna need to upgrade our servers look at that it's just going all over the place now Oh God I can still hear people typing while I'm over here it's like it's in my head forever okay so this guy's full let's just go ahead and duplicate him that sounds good yeah why stop there let's just do another one sure help stability though so pretty much whenever I play games like this the only thing I really want to do is see if we can do something ridiculous with the game or make an incredible amount of money and that's when I discovered furniture pack number three plant in a white vase you shouldn't have we'll just make a nice little triangle here of white plants around the CEO which could be either him pretending he's flying a stealth bomber backwards or it's part of some ritual actually that kind of gives me an idea let me make a little bit more money and then we'll try this in a new office I can buy some walls got to keep the CEO safe from all the riffraff here we go we're getting to that point of the game where we're actually cash positive just kept getting more users kept upgrading our landing page in our item listing we're basically crappy Craigslist we found her way above Flik sir and zero zone watch out movie times here comes oh my stars everything is so cheap right it's new office time let's get the hell out of here I love that it just drops your old setup into the new building as is our custom let's take the coffeemaker and put it as far away from the other employees as we can let's also see if we can expand our beautiful garden here yeah there we go that's better now the CEO is doing what CEOs do sitting at his desk summoning the Lord of darkness from his pentagram kind of a star right anyway let's put another desk down here all gross like cuz we need support staff now all right which one he's gonna be the cheapest shot geez I accidentally offered 15 grand Oh Claudia I've got some bad news for you sorry about that that was an accident so I'm gonna have to let you go firing employees will decrease the mood of the rest of your employees oh wow if I'd known that I would have fired people more often all right let's try that again no accidentally hiring people just to fire them in front of everyone else Connor how would you like to make way too little also what support staff gets 5,000 a month I mean just go watch my playthrough of tech support and you can see that there's no way that would happen right Connor sit your ass down over here Connor it takes you seven point nine hours to resolve a low-complexity ticket are you like disarming a bomb why does it take so long to resolve ticket we're also having some slight server issues here I mean if I just duplicate this over and over again will that solve all our problems like a lot a lot of times no it's a whopping 212 degrees Fahrenheit in here is this stuff gonna set on fire hmm you know I think something went wrong hang on I got all the answers for you right here it's this basic fan I have no idea if this is even facing the right way but okay cool we uh-huh all right guys just hang tight we'll just add more of these this is how cooling works right well I hope this does the trick because this is all of our money see look now everything's back on line a perfect 97 degrees Fahrenheit crisis averted many many of my employees are still beginner level making their horrible salaries and they have all these demands and I intentionally don't fulfill any of them no one gets their bookshelf their whiteboard nothing large meeting table are you out of your mind this guy has a negative 70% mood penalty I guess that'll do it to you okay we reached our max two levels again level 60 we got to go up another one so it's time to upgrade this guy so we're gonna upgrade to the cute framework 2.0 oh my god and we have three new features we can add okay let's add sharing functionality which makes them really sad for some reason I got an idea well everyone's gone for the night let's switch everyone's desks around just like yeah can you imagine coming into work one day and this is what happened to your office my favorite honestly is this person right here everyone can look at her screen and she can't see anyone elses I feel like the tutorial lady down at the bottom has like sad eyes like why are you doing this to these people HR manager able to control working hours wait a minute does this mean they'll get their 7 hour workday like they keep asking about or does it mean I can give them a 17 hour workday I guess we're just gonna have to unlock them to find out Chad find me the least confident HR manager you can good enough for me oh hell yes I can do a 17 hour day time for peak efficiency who's ready oh you know what I think that scheduling only affects grace I don't know why but that's almost funnier oh my god her mood is actually zero literally everybody's gone home except for grace alone in this office with a bunch of ghost people I'm gonna move grace over here so we can see her she's not even typing anymore she just sits there oh we can have glass walls I know what to do with these why the long face grace hi well there you go grace in addition to being in a cage it's not even a good one she's like I don't even care well you know I think things are getting a little cramped here I think it's time to move on over time for the skyscraper hundred sixty workstations two floors here we are finally all this space for us to spread out I've employed a couple extra designers on floor number two under the loving care of their Lord and Master Grace in the very center of the room surrounded by water coolers they get to work in this total cacophony where everyone gets to feel like they're being spied on by their neighbors there's no coffeemaker on this floor and no escape I also like how buff everybody is they must play a lot of frisbee golf you know at this point with our 340 million dollars I think we can afford to move offices let's take this show on the road boys and rent the headquarter see that's what I like to see I like to see all the people shoved in the corner over there and then pass the CEO we just have tons of space all for him as is our custom take the coffee maker all the way over to the end right there floor number two looks like the stock market at this point really excited to flood it with more horrible desks now that we've got our nice big office we should be thinking about acquisitions after all as it turns out we are number four in the shopping platform space the first thing we're gonna do is buy Ally Tata over here give me all your stocks tada we own them now oh you know what let's absorb him join us all these other users anyway let's keep on buying we now own all of who sells how about commerce' yep you're ours now and $10 shops acquired okay so we've proceeded to buy out everyone underneath us now we need to set our sights on the top three uber buy eBay and Amazon I love it we're absorbing so many users at once from so many companies that it's just going off the page here I've also extended grace from eight jars reach she now commands the entire floor it's not entirely filled there's a section in the middle there that doesn't have anybody yet all these happy other people are working on god knows what it's I've been playing for a little while let me update you on what's been going on it is currently day 1427 we have 58,000 research points in Damir fifteen point five billion dollars as I was playing this actually there was an update that added a third floor to our building so I kind of moved some people around the first floor of our brand new belongs only to the CEO he can sit in his pentagram and enjoy himself a third floors developers only their desks basically make one giant maze basically it's like human centipede but with desks I also made it a goal to only hire people that wear green shirts and now that I take a closer look I'm pretty sure everybody's related I'm not a total monster though there are some water coolers on this floor behind glass feel like these are the key desks right here cuz at least you get to look outside we also had to leave our little server basement behind because we started needing a few too many servers so I upgraded us to the big boy it's kind of hard to see but these servers spell out the word send help please I made sure to put some fans in here or else the thing wouldn't run at all but I did also make sure to encase it as many servers as possible so in a practical world they're completely useless so looking at our shopping competitors we are now at the very top with a valuation of 9.46 billion dollars which is strange considering we actually have more cash than that on hands we're gonna absorb them all now so we might be at the top of the shopping platform but we are not at the top of a global platform we're gonna start by buying out reddit now that we pretty much own the entire Internet let's go through and just buy out all these companies you know what else we don't need anymore actually all these engineers you're an expense I don't need to pay for anymore look at this big beautiful empty floor there's nothing but empty desks I went ahead and created a couple more companies you can't absorb all the companies unless we make like a social media company and I'd like a like a YouTube like company for our social media company we're gonna name it we hate social media destined to be a star and for our Netflix like Josh flicks you know I'm feeling lazy Josh tube so now we've got all my stars everything is so cheap we hate social media Josh flicks and Josh tube oK we've gone head and absorbed all these other companies too they've been all absorbed into the greater whole so pretty much now everybody only goes to one company for all their social media to watch movies and to buy stuff I went ahead and finished firing all of our employees there's pretty much only one thing left to do delete the web sites goodbye Josh tube goodbye Josh flicks goodbye we hate social media and goodbye oh my stars everything is so cheap welp looks like we've basically deleted the Internet I guess it's time to take our 246 billion dollars and go
