I JUST GOT SCAMMED ON A $130,000 ZR1... BY A 68 YEAR OLD WOMAN (COST ME $1,200!)

that should be pretty good I think okay so welcome to the channel this is really weird and you know not the video I thought I was going to be filming and I thought about waiting until tomorrow when I'm not as upset but I feel like you know I share my life with you guys and I just want to share this as honestly as possible and as it happens because I just got this text not even an hour ago I'm so basically long story short I might be saying that a lot during this video because it is a long story but this has been going on for like over a week long story short I've bought a 20-19 zr1 and there's a lot of reasons why and I was going to make a whole video about that I don't want to get into that here but basically the market is really strong the car is rare the the prices are really holding strong because it's a one-year car only built for one year very limited the last front-engine Corvette as we now know and mainly you can tune now when I had a CR one you couldn't tune it so I did really everything you could do with the car at the time and they ended up selling it but I wanted up and wanted to get back into one for a while because you know daily trip exotics says the Lambos lockdown everybody's got a McLaren now so I was like you know I want to get something that I really love but that's also unique and I was like nobody is really doing anything with a new zr1 on youtube so I probably could be really cool and I also really wanted like a new supercar but I wanted a manual because I know I have another McLaren coming that's gonna be a dual clutch and I wanted something a little different and there's really only two options if you want them well a three you got Porsches you can get if you could find a gated Guyardo or like you know Damon's Part C globulin or you get a Corvette or a viper and you know I wanted a Corvette anyway I don't even get into all that because that's gonna be a whole vlog if I end up getting whatever but I bought this I found this one for sale actually I didn't my buddy Matt beaver at Whitmore Chevrolet found it for sale so this lady had a 20-19 zr1 listed on the corvette form black on black blue stitching blue brake calipers to match the emblems really cool ztk big wing all that 7-speed manual will either not older lady 7 a 7 year old lady we're talking about totally legit I might show a picture here while I edit I might not I don't know if I want to put her on blast even though I really should because she does deserve it but it's weird like if this was a any guy I would be gone in his house I'd be honest I'd be at his house I'd be on my flight to his house and I'd be showing up and I've been taking the car out of there if this was any anybody else but a 7 year old woman I would absolutely are to be doing that but we found this car like you want to say Autotrader I'm watching too much Doug on the Corvette form she had it listed for sale so this is not like you know we heard through the grapevine some lady had a car and we called her up she had it listed for sale I'm when contact her and it's a good price I think she's asking like 130 for the car I'd be happy to pad it stickered at 144 getting a great savings the car had 42 miles on it she's a believe it or not oh really which I guess it's a little sexist to say that but you know you just don't see a whole lot of women driving a manual Corvette or manual cars at all especially an older bird you don't see many old man in general but she was an avid enthusiast she had this manual zr1 and it was great you know the spec I wanted I wanted it black on black because I wanted to and it was everything was set to go it was like the perfect car we found it they're hard to find now like I've been looking for a while to find the right one and a manual it's a little bit difficult to find and I'm sorry if I'm kind of like rambling on because I'm not going to edit this I'm just like this is just the raw video but we find the car and everything's good to go she wants to sell it everything the balls in motion here so I get a loan from a bank like I run a credit check and I think that those hard credit checks when you actually apply for a loan I think that hurts your credit a little bit now it's not big but I think it drops a bike up every time you get a loan or every time it's a hard inquiry I think it's called you I think it affects her credit in a negative or in a negative way so I might have even lost a little bit of credit on my credit report because of this whole scenario so I get approved but no problem that I'm putting 50 grand down on the car get approved for the loan no problem everything's good to go she's willing to sell the car at this point everything is fine and then she says well you know what as part of the deal Matt I want you to order me a new zo6 to replace my car so he's like sure no problem I can do that so he she specs it out same way basically a black on black zo6 manual comp seats all the good stuff so she knows how to spec a car I'll give her that grapes back on the car and he orders it so he orders this car through GM a hundred and seven thousand dollar zo6 he orders to replace her zr1 basically how it works is you know she's selling the car to the dealership and I'm buying the car through the dealership because I want to buy through a dealership not a private party so the dealership is buying it to sell it to me just because I want that extra level of assurance happens all the time so we sent her the paperwork out the loan payoff she has a loan in the car so we send a loan payoff paperwork out she signs it and everything again everything is good to go so she has given permission to the dealership to pay off her car to get the title to give it to me not a big deal this happens every day all the time hundreds of times car dealerships but normally people don't back out so this has been going on for like a week this deal is getting worked out everything's good to go I buy a plane ticket to go to Birmingham Alabama if you don't believe me I have the footage of me buying the plane ticket we got our flight from Harrisburg to Alabama I get in at eight o'clock in the morning 286 bucks well plus 35 from Maine cab and I guess I'll select I really know if it matters and the drive home boys Birmingham to Harrisburg eight hundred and three miles 11 hours and 32 minutes all right we're booked not showing you guys my email because I don't want to get a bunch of emails but we are booked boys we're flying out that I'll interject here somewhere so I'm all excited I'm gonna drive the car back because I want to get it for this weekend at Pocono Raceway slipstream racing at Pocono Raceway and I want to drive the car I'm like this is perfect it's only got 42 miles on it I have to reach 500 miles for the break-in period I'll drive it home that's great now I'll Drive it literally straight from Alabama to the dealership to get the oil changed and then I can race on Saturday perfect and it's gonna be positive a little road trip and I normally don't travel that much so you know if I'm willing to drive from Alabama like I was excited about bought my plane ticket so now not only am i invested you know emotionally because I really want it I'm excited I'm gonna tell my audience that I have the car coming and really I want to reveal the car for you guys and people than dying for car content I've been waiting for so long to drive a car in great driving weather not only am i invested emotionally and have my whole career invested as well and people counting on this I'm invested if I didn't say financially as well I already got the loan for the car I bought the plane ticket I'm in hundreds of dollars for the plane ticket and I'm invested with my credit out because I think my credit would be affected so I buy the plane ticket I get a text an hour ago I'm flying out Thursday morning so whenever you see this it could be it's like 24 hours from right now as I film this I view getting on the plane going driving the airport to fly out to Alabama we get a text an hour ago and I'll put it up on the screen a little pause there but I want to keep this all one and I don't want to edit this video at all because even if I screw up words because I want it to be that I just want it to be like I just all the feelings are so fresh right now I just want the whole video as it is to be out there and then you guys know like I am just being brutally honest so I'll put the text on the screen like I said I already did that so now I'm screwed up that I said that but she says I can't sell the car now this isn't like you know a week ago where we were talking about the deal everything things have been done everything's in motion the dealership sent out the check to pay off her car to get the title for it like any like that happens all the time but you can't back out at this point she doesn't want to sell the car she's adamant and matt has my friend who has gone above and beyond all the time has spent hours on the phone with her hours you know throughout this whole process because she's a talker she's a talker so you know ladies probably got nothing to do so she talks he sent me a screenshot the other day he's on the phone for an hour and 52 minutes with this woman so a tremendous amount of time he has wasted and she backs out he calls her she's adamant you know I can't do it and he says okay I'll give you one more chance and he has more patience than me you said are you gonna sell the car to us or do we have to go back on this deal you know just say yes yes or no right now and that's what I'm gone with and she says no I'm not gonna sell the car so that's it and that was my car now technically if you're as if you're watching this video here asking yourself well don't you legally own the car then the dealership does I didn't sign my papers yet but yeah the dealership legally owns the car so if I wanted to in like I said if this was anybody else if this was like some dude whatever I'd beat down at that I'd be taking that car away with the police behind me or if they you know if they agree to it I'm taking the car but like do I really want to go bully a seven-year-old woman like do I want to do that I don't want to do that because that's just bad I don't even want to get the car that way they'd be so tainted but the whole deal was done and she goes back on it and you saw the text she's like no I can't sell my baby there's 42 miles on the car so like how do you even oh I'm so in love with the car how are you in love the car you bet you haven't driven and it was an earlier big car so she's had it for like six months seven months she's put 42 miles on it and Alabama so every day in Alabama you can drive it's not like here where it might be snowing I see em already at nine minutes I know the audience not great because of the echo and I don't want this to go on forever but that's the deal so I lost money on the plane ticket I'll see if I get it back but I doubt I can because it's not like I'm canceling that weekend ahead of time it's at 12 hours from now the flights gonna leave so I'll see so but I think I lost not only like does it suck but I think I lost a good amount of money as well I probably lost whatever the plane ticket is a couple hundred bucks taxes and everything like that so no I don't even know how much it is I didn't really care because I was excited but that's it I guess that's really I got screwed out of a 130 thousand dollar car because this lady went back on the deal literally less than 24 hours before I was gonna get on a plane and fly down there again could I go get it I could you know is that an option uh no I you know as I said I'm literally figuring it out as I sit here but I don't want the car that way it's just ridiculous but that's what happens so seriously and it might sound a little weird to say this but you can go on the floor you can go on the court at forum and look if you don't believe me you can look you can see your listing there just look up Cara zero one for sales the black-on-black ctk comp seats you'll find it I forget what her name on the forum even is I'm not gonna blast her name here I'm not gonna show her phone number obviously but buyer beware for real she's on the forums and she really screwed us over I mean financially for me the dealership hours and hours of Matt's time I mean she really really screwed us over like seriously screwed us over you know it's just on it's really unreal Matt's been doing this for 15 years he said he's never had a deal go this far and had it not work out I did I told him that I was like he wasted a tremendous amount of time well you get a pail from the cars overnight to her and whatnot you know got cut checks cut you know everything's looking good I give you the green light to do let's go get the car Thursday yep yeah I put the text on the screen so yeah which is the only reason why I feel bad it's like an old lady and she was crying [Music] [Music] and that's why I said he likes working the dealerships because they can't back out but a person and again we could like force her to do this but I'm not good we don't neither one of us wants to go down that run I mean how good does that look like we're strong-armed in an old lady like the Mafia and we're taking a car away so legally I mean yeah we would legally be able to take the car but we don't want to do it that way but that's it that's what we're at I mean she really wasted our time got my hopes up wasted our money and now beepers got a car that he would have never ordered otherwise 107 thousand dollar zo6 that he's got coming in that's dropship to her dealership down there in Alabama so it's not even coming to him so now that's where it's being dropship and I don't that I think once an order has been accepted by the factory I don't think you can cancel it and I don't know if you're a dealer you might know but I don't think you can sir so now he's got a car that he's gonna either have to deal with or pay to ship to himself back up here at his dealership the whole thing is a mess really big mess the only good thing is I have a backup par and I have a couple of other options and I'm getting it for this weekend no doubt I don't know when this videos going up and I'm getting a car for this weekend come hell or high water but yeah I mean she really you know to say it again like seriously buyer beware don't believe her don't go on the Corvette for him and try to buy that car from her I it's like under it like she really really screwed us over and it's pretty jacked up what she didn't like I said that this was like some if this was a man like I'd be furious I've got his door because we know we're you know we have the address we have all the information we know we and it's not like she's even a scammer like we called we know at the bank she really did have a loan on the car with that VIN number like we need all the infos legit like the car's legit she's legit we know who she is where she lives all that if I said who she lives I think I said who who she is where she lives but whatever point is like we know everything about like it is legit it was legit but she just really went back on the sale and screws over so that's where I'm at and that's how I got screwed out of a thirty thousand dollar zero one by a seven-year-old woman I guess you learned something new every day I the 25 year old got taken advantage of by a 7 year old lady she agreed to buy and that's the other thing it's not like you know we were just we had verbally agreed to buy like this is at like financially like the ball was already basically trading early you know 60 purchase until I prove to her that GM was gonna build her car there's no questions asked and we're not going backwards to right now we're in a time winding down so you know good for her for knowing a lot about Corvettes trust me she knows a lot yep yeah I saw I saw just when I went in there you had already been on the phone with her for like 20 minutes total 180 can't sell it can't regret regrets ever trying to put up for sale she doesn't know why she did it
