I improvised 10 sketches in one hour

hello everybody it is me today i thought it would be fun to sort of let you into a little bit of my creative writing process i have in front of me my ipad and i have here a dictionary and so as an experiment my assistant scott over here is going to be opening up this dictionary going to a random page pointing randomly at a word and reading the word like onlooker for example then i have to free associate come up with a little sketch for that i'll have five minutes to write that little sketch and then immediately i have to perform it so here is a few micro sketches that have been written in five minutes each by me daniel bowie all right scott take this ready flip to random page point to random word what do you got drive by drive by okay drive by what does drive by make me think of oh i know what am i gonna do i think i'm done i'm just waiting on the tire i already have it there we go great awesome what do we say we shoot it in one minute so i have five minutes to ride it but one minute to shoot it that's the challenge okay ready it's a gun hey put your hands up whoa whoa whoa what's going on here if you don't give us the money we ask for we're gonna shoot up your round pizza dough shop and surely put you out of business i don't have any money for you what am i gonna do looks like you're gonna suffer the consequences and that my children is how bagels were made was one minute and i think i got the whole sketch pretty good i think that's good all right scott come on in and show them it's real yeah grant grant grant okay i'm thinking hugh grant the actor or grant like grant will grant a wish so genie yeah okay something genie related oh yeah okay cool i now have one minute to shoot this three two one go i will grant you three wishes oh sweet what is your first wish i wish for a million dollars here you go hey what what is that it is a million dollars but that's monopoly money you weren't specific enough i don't want that first wish is spent what is your next wish i wish for a beautiful woman done where is she would you say that your mother is beautiful yes boom you have a beautiful woman second wish spent dude you kind of suck i am immortal your opinions mean nothing okay for my third wish i wish i had a better genie impossible i am best genie come on third was spent also i won no i need another minute third wish spent oh so i won the lamp back oh man we're not doing the timer anymore it didn't work it didn't work okay i'm writing the sketch in five minutes i'm just doing one take of each other thing new rule haha i can do what i want it's my fatal all right next word oh you have to show them the word when you're done so they know that you're not just like picking a right okay going up there what is it what's the word jerusalem jerusalem that's a weighted word really i don't know anything about jerusalem jerusalem reminds me of judaism judaism reminds me of uh to go into the promised land like a wise being at the top of a mountain could the editors have me float in this welcome traveler from which moral quandary do you wish to seek guidance oh hey there's someone else in here uh do you mind if i take a selfie real quick the only selfie you seek is the snapshot of your destiny yeah actually i'm pretty invested in taking a photo of this here stalagmite there's like tight stack type it's a super cool looking rock and i think it would get a lot of likes on instagram yes but will you like it yeah i mean probably i'd want to get this party started what you don't like your own stuff i don't like or dislike anything i only see what is yeah that's real cool man i'm just going to film myself what are you doing i'm just filming a tic tac real quick do me a favor don't move an inch all right you're going to be blocking my life i don't like this all right that's that one one zone there you are oh i'm in next sustenance sustenance okay so sustenance just food fine dining oh i had this idea for a sketch a while ago this is perfect for yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah um excuse me waiter yes yeah i'm so sorry but um there appears to be a hair in my food oh i'm so deeply sorry uh please forgive us we'll remake this for you no no no actually um i was wondering if you could add some more you're clearly upset i will fix this right you misunderstand i am not upset i am hungry i want more hair in my linguine i'm not sure it's delicious add more hair to my lingua muscat next word new word late late three two one boom okay a little bit more better rhythm on the next one but that's fine uh late makes me think of late like someone who's passed someone who's late on their period oh okay okay guy who has no understanding of how periods work so when his girlfriend tells him hey honey yeah i'm late oh that's fine we'll still make it to the movie no no not like that i'm late oh snap are you dead no i am late like am i talking to a ghost right now no i'm late on my period okay big whoop i didn't poop today i don't think you understand i'm really selfish you know that yeah i think i'm gonna sneeze later today and i think i'm gonna be early how about that you like that you like how that feels girls are gross all right there's that masculine all right give me a good countdown sound like a like a three two one excuse me something man three two one masculine meaning of like male energy like alpha male uh i got it i already know what it is don't worry about it babe i'll take a look under the hood mmm alternator it is yoda yes tell her it is the alternator but i have no clue what's wrong with the car do you know what an alternator does no neither does she tell her there are spare parts at the shop nearby and have them fix what is actually wrong thanks yoda you're the best you're welcome daniel i accept tips you know me one hour later oh look it's our first gator right there look at her she is a beaut grab a bucket i need the blood what what and that kids is how gatorade was invented you're the worst teacher ever i'm gonna tell my dad about that i'm seven i need water just blew my voice out let's print print print print set a timer let's go all right this one's going to be really fast this is going to be like a three second video i don't know how the punch line is okay so i'm in a judge costume for this one seems here that there weren't any fingerprints at the scene of the crime oh thank god see i told you i was innocent but there was however a cow hoof print on the body are you sure looks like it could be a horse off bailiff get after that cow okay there we go to interrupt that satellite satellite satellite to provide with more than enough so as to weary or disgust i'm gonna go i like satellite but we also satiate similar to the to sustenance so we'll do we'll do satellites there's satellite this will be the president mr president the asteroid will collide with the earth in less than 30 minutes what will you have us do are you thinking what i'm thinking mr president you feel a little connection here huh you feel a little connected sir i think it's very important we address the colossal rock hurtling towards the earth i think it's more important that we address the colossal flame that's going on between us what is happening oh this is how he makes big decisions he just gets all flirty and weird just play along you'll be fine open it we're doomed final word grand slam grand slam all right cool uh when i okay let's get that timer going because i'm ready grand slam is a is an item that they have at denny's i used to eat at denny's all the time at like 2 a.m my the waitress's name was cricket and she had pigtails and she was in her 60s and she was nuts did i mention i'm from florida welcome daddy's guy get yourselves a drink i think i'm i think i did it i think i wrote it jesus wow wow okay so one of these characters is a waitress and then the other one is a customer paying customers welcome to dennis could i get you something to drink like a coke or a coffee uh yeah i'll just start with the water that's fine excellent one cup of nothing for broke boiling excuse me could i also get you something to eat like a couple of ice cubes or some salt uh i was actually gonna get the grand slam you thought about that because it says right here that you only order the water to drink and that don't cost nothing yes i am sure i will just have one grand slam
