I *hate* football but Shaolin Soccer was funny & wholesome af!!

oh my God wow all right let's dance random [Music]   hey everyone and welcome back to my channel  if you're new here my name is Mary and today   I'm going to be watching a movie called Shaolin  Soccer hopefully I pronounced that right it was   released in 2001 directed by Stephen Chow and you  guys actually made me aware of this film after I   posted my Kung Fu Hustle reaction video which if  you haven't seen that definitely go check that   out I did it maybe like a month or two ago and I  really loved that film and because I loved it so   much lots of you guys were recommending this  movie to me so it has been a little while and   I was supposed to watch it a little bit earlier  but then Christmas time came around so I'm here   reacting to it now this film was released before  Kung Fu Hustle but people seem to really love this   film as well and it's about soccer now as you  guys know I don't really love sports but I'm   coming into this with an open mind I'm coming into  it blind as well I know that it's about soccer and   Kung Fu that's about it I also know that it's a  comedy so I'm expecting to laugh I laughed a lot   in Kung Fu Hustle I hope that I laughed just  as much in just a game who's this evil  guy got an evil smile God and an evil laugh s oh poor guy how immoralizing oh dude that was brutal wow well I did say he had an evil  smile poor dude life completely   destroyed as I'm watching this it's  been two days since Argentina won the   World Cup so I feel like maybe I  should have watched this earlier no more Hey Stephen Chow oh my look at his face he's got so all over it oh my God what an angle oh no oh no oh look at her face  oh yeah she wouldn't have fallen right it's pretty cool parking would be much easier he certainly knows how to talk the talk I mean that's true forever [Music] really isn't about fighting  it's a way of life [Laughter] show him damn I feel like it's gonna come back and hit him  in the head oh poor guy he just wants to teach English song oh oh my gosh touching them if you can't pay for them yeah that was pretty disgusting  he put it on the table s foreign this is so Random but hey  they're enjoying themselves I like it I like it oh my God everyone  doesn't seem to like it though they're   like what am I witnessing oh oh  dude ouch don't don't do that angry for no reason they're so mean no peeing on the wall oh  hey damn he has some shoes dude no foreign oh she fixed him oh that's so nice of her oh  she's so sweet [Applause] oh my God what is   going on now it's like something out of a horror  movie you can't see the Monster oh it's just him he's so scared someone's beat him he's not gonna want to hear it demoted whoa whoa whoa [Music] um he's so desperate where's he living oh my God it changed so quick one million dollars no luck anywhere million dollar deal [Music] very mathematical dude zero  doesn't really give them a chance at all theatrical oh my God so stressed about money I'm gonna see  the coin no there's a chance there's   a chance going lightweight nice  to meet you Mr White you come on dude clean your face oh whoa the heck you don't have to live like this the brothers aren't doing so well are they come on dude oh we messed it up they have a lot of patience these too bro they're all just not  happy with their lives now try and enjoy life oh my God I'm so angry you can find other players no you're persuasive oh it's baby brother he's here  another one oh two more [Music] they actually came through I wonder  what it took to convince them in the end whoa dude you can't lose the  ball and there's no game dude [Music] I'm happy for the golden leg  he's finally doing what he wants to do yeah borrowed your eggs seems upset  [Music] ew now his shoes are gross   give me back my eggs oh is not fair oh my God bodies are flying his team is dying slowly oh my lord  it's a long War Jesus Christ is that   what soccer's like guys soccer like War he mad mad oh Soccer Is War M White Flag we're not letting you guys sure  what's up oh my God put this on your head oh that's so sad I wouldn't let anyone do  that to me I also wouldn't do that to anyone oh very cool they got the moves [Music] so still reminds me of cult of the Lamb right now with his eyes shot and everything oh they're playing so brutally though   look at the green screen oh it's getting so dusty  that's how you get your opponents blind them wow oh nice they're charging up they're using their  special attack now nothing's hurting him his turn oh [Music] wow oh my goodness kind of got it though it has to be inside inside oh the mutual respect is beautiful you're gonna make me Rich they want to join this is so crazy you must  be so happy and proud I feel really happy   for Golden leg he's had a really rough 20  years he deserves this oh right the bad guys glad we're caught into them that's gotta be hard well he's  managed to do it though foreign he doesn't believe in them at all just  by their looks looks can be deceiving this is great I love his doubt Oh yay I didn't  even have to pay for the application fee all right Batman are we gonna give her a makeover right   now she doesn't need to change  she's beautiful the way she is like Adrian in the beginning of the rocky films [ __ ] where's the Flies coming from oh my gosh oh my God stop slapping her yeah that's nice [Music] that's nice of him brought  her here after hours and he's mopping   the floor it's really sweet  he's such a sweet guy foreign I am nervous for them [Music] you have to make it to the finals oh very funny this guy's just smoking you shouldn't  be smoking during a game come on foreign okay look at his face oh my god wow they're  actually doing amazingly again I don't   know why I thought like their first  official game wouldn't go as well and the more people that witness their  games they're gonna be curious about Shaolin thank you nice oh wow next game next game another game  oh my gosh look at the audience this time   oh holy crap that was far oh my gosh wow wow this is incredible this is awesome oh you'll see you soon [Music] just touched her they love them the media just these guys deserve Sean won Evil Zero they won wow check out that cop kiss kiss kiss kiss  Striker marries own goalie oh coach banned   for illegal training Good Karma and  that is his business doing better oh oh no not again oh oh she took up Sheldon Kung  Fu oh nice looks like his business is kicking off   wow got his job back chill and soccer  craze reaches America Kung Fu couple   starter martial arts Trend win Bowling  World Championship oh dude what a great   ending is it just me or does Stephen  Chow just love to play dude's name sing   he played Singh in Kung Fu Hustle and he's also  sing in Shaolin Soccer I have to say I am not a   sports person at all but because of the rocky  series I went into that with an open mind and   same with Million Dollar Baby I watch those movies  with an open mind and heart and I actually enjoyed   them so much this film yes it was a movie about  soccer and in my real personal life like I didn't   care at all about the World Cup I know some of you  guys are gonna really hate me for saying that but   hey look Sports isn't for everyone and that's  okay I enjoy this movie though I enjoyed it   because of the comedy I enjoyed it because of the  Kung Fu it was just ridiculous but that's pretty   classic Stephen Chow apparently from what I've  seen anyway this is really funny and it was also   really wholesome too Singh got all his brothers  together his brothers were doing really just   terribly in their lives they needed this they  needed something in their lives to bring their   Spirits back to to give them a little bit of Hope  and to just spark their lives and this was exactly   what they needed what you looking at Lola what  you looking at you're distracting me from my outro   golden leg and Singh found each other at just the  right moments in their lives it was a little bit   confusing though because I was certain that Singh  and mui absolutely just loved each other but maybe   they put that scene where mui mui I'm so sorry  by the way if I'm pronouncing her name wrong   I'm just absolutely terrible but maybe they put  that moment in to show us that Singh was getting   slightly affected by the fame and the praise that  he was getting because of his newborn talent in   soccer I think that moment was necessary to show  us that he's just a human being he's flawed and   ego and pride and things like that affect him  just as much as anybody he was obviously never   really regarded as anyone special or important and  then all of a sudden everybody gave a [ __ ] about   seeing everybody wanted to know more about this  guy who was incredibly talented at Kung Fu soccer   so I can understand it I was just really glad when  we came through and she helped them win the final   round that was amazing she's already great at Kung  Fu and she was the perfect Sub in that very moment   they absolutely needed her and that those final  moments came down to her so that was incredible   and in the end they got married and they brought  Shaolin Kung Fu to America so incredible story   incredible story of families coming together and  the bad guys got their karma as well it was so   funny it was ridiculous don't get me wrong but  that's the entire premise of a film like this I   came into the film knowing that Stephen showers  definitely an incredible director and actor I   think he did an amazing job in this role his name  is Singh but he's a completely different Singh to   the one that I know him from in Kung Fu Hustle  this thing was far more humble at the start he   had a little moment where he got a little bit  arrogant but his human ability came back to   him because that was the core of his character  and that came back to him and at the end of the   day he just wants what's best for everyone even  with mui she's actually quite similar to him a   lot of people don't really take her seriously or  regard her because of her looks and he does and   I think that's really special that's definitely  what sparked Millie's interest at least because   she ended up fixing his shoe and if it wasn't for  that kind act he wouldn't have been able to play   soccer you can't play soccer without shoes right  but I think I felt the happiest for Golden leg   because of everything that happened to him in his  life he was crippled 20 years ago on purpose by a   mob hired by hunk which is absolutely tragic when  you find out that that's what happened I mean us   as an audience we knew because we saw the evil  smile and the evil laugh and the camera panning   towards him and zooming into him and whatnot  but he didn't know golden leg never knew and   he worked for Hong for 20 years and then he found  out and it's just absolutely really tragic like   this is just a broken man he really wanted to  coach a team and he didn't get the opportunity   to through Hong but he made it out on his own and  that was really wholesome and inspiring to overall   a really great wholesome funny entertaining
