take down the tower part one get it off the house oh it was already rotted off the house but i had to we had to get the hardware loose and everything so make sure one of your guys gets there a half hour early and we recommend pb blast penetrant oil now it's not a tower that hasn't come down after spraying the bolts with that so spray the bolts then get the thing loose you don't know if you're directing this from my kitchen where are you yeah well we know we know you weren't talking to jen cause he wasn't doing anything but you know point fingers i was third spirit i was there no question about it i was right by your side the entire time all right and now ham radio concept here is eric kj4yzi how am i doing oh dude it's awesome the first thing i would do is take this off you can use um there's a product called cold right it'll it'll eat this rust off in a heartbeat and then take cold galvanizing compound which is uh over the you one can will do this entire tower and uh that's going to protect you there you go well you've always got a better idea it's it's in it it's in really good shape though it is it's a very nice shape yeah no it's beautiful and i can i can put my rotator up here now i got it because the last time i had a little tower's like a tv tower yeah it didn't have not like this i had to cob job something so now i can put my and you got the base too yeah base came out one piece perfect so here here's here's an idea of what i'm gonna do for my tower here jim davis uh if i look at this mine's about the same height there same exact tower and this is what i'm probably gonna do what do we got jim okay so these are two home depot hinges the biggest home depot hinges you could find they were basically fence post hinges and uh i i had a plate made that's the same size as the standard issue rhone 25 base and then took it to a metal shop they welded the roan plate to another steel plate then we cut these four holes here and uh we put j jbar down in uh uh into concrete this is uh three by three by three deep and uh it has j bolts in it those are solid that uh and the benefit of this is when you wanna swing this tower down all you do is you take these two bolts and they're fairly heavy-duty bolts so those are like like all thread that's going down in the concrete they only go to the base plate in other words those only go to the no those don't go down to the concrete so what's so that's oh i see okay i see the plate that they put underneath that's correct gotcha okay all right so you take those bolts over and then you can tip this thing on its side you know we have it figured out so that it tips to just the right place in the yard right yeah and it's so much easier oh yeah i definitely do that that'll tilt let's see you can put that all the way down over here you know basically you go up on the chimney there and you're going to take a a rope and get it up a few feet higher as high as you can get it up there and then use the chimney as a lever and uh actually we've had one guy we've had a couple of guys on the roof john's been one of the people on the roof but we had a couple of young kids one guy on the roof and one you could actually if i if i had a setup like this i could with a chimney i could put a pulley up there and do it myself if i had like a crank down here and lower it down with a winch and a pulley or something but that's going to make it so much easier for me because then i don't have to keep climbing i think i could just lower it down right interesting that's that's a mess over here our bougainvillea just fell down and that's good and bougainvillea is nothing but thorns anyways oh it's a pile in the backyard but you got up there that's your tv intense yeah that's uh that's a home brew kind of thing that uh craig jerome k4cpg helped us with it's two channel master antennas they're uh uh they're for what they call vhf high and uhf and then we have the the heavy duty coax you know this is the uh the best feed line available there's two feed lines that come down and combine into the uh there's a splitter down here those are combined into a preamp we wanted to get the preamp off the tower so we could service it down here and uh this works out a whole lot better we're getting 67 channels out of orlando nice and uh i'm gonna put one face in orlando one face west palm one face and wherever else and yeah and i have that feed line an inch and a quarter that big stuff so i have thousands of feet of that and this is uh this has got a rotor on it but we never swing it yeah because you get the networks out of orlando uh if you want to get uh abc out of west palm beach that one you can get off of a coat hanger facing the opposite direction wet noodle in the sand picks up channel 25. all right man so i got the tower home safe and sound and let me show you uh what i'm gonna do here check it out so you know i was going to give you all a tour of the house and show you you've seen this house before this is my my new ponderosa unfortunately it did not work out in the rv at my grandmother's y'all have seen the video of how i thought that uh i was gonna be there forever in the house they built and unfortunately guys it turns into a weird situation when you involve family um but anyways but here's what i'm gonna do right so first thing i notice power lines cable up here okay now over here we have the hedges and there is a uh like a canal on this side because all the way about behind here right so what i'm going to do is i'm going to have a fence you see there was a fence post here and it went over to there whenever we do this i'm going to have this the jet skis will be back here that's i'm going to show you here in a second that's my going to be my new band room slash ham shack okay um but what i'm going to do is i'm going to put the tower here the front corner so basically what you saw at jim davis's house i'm going to you know just sprinkle there about probably right about here and the reason why is because 40 foot if it falls this way okay it won't hit the power lines and it may hit the shed but if it falls this way it's gonna maybe clip the palm tree but uh land over here i'm ripping all that stuff out and if it falls this way it's going to fall on the hedges but it won't hit 83rd out there all right so i'm going to put it here right with the base so that i could drop it down that way all right and i'm going to have my 6 meter beam my two meter beam maybe a hex beam so wires off of it my weather station my tv antennas all kinds of stuff and it'll be fold over with the base here up on the side of the soffit there maybe a guy or two here i'm not sure all right that's what's going to happen there i'm going to put that up soon i'm going to show you something here real quick um just because i'll give you a little give you a little look at the pool guys look look at it you know it took it's taken a long time guys to get my own place like this look at this with the jacuzzi wi-fi control with the lights everything right all right so we we live in this pool man there's the rv there is the uh rv there solar right from the ponderosa channel more videos coming there look outdoor shower all right all kinds of stuff you know again i've been poor my whole life it's time that i have something nice so if you think i'm flaunting everything you're wrong i grew up poor me and my wife have been through struggles for many years it's about time that i have something nice and i tried at my grandmother's house and it didn't work as things were said and i don't ever forgive her for that um so here's a retaining wall here so you know with the pool i don't have a flood or whatever a lot of work not not work to be done here but um you know some things i want to do so here is gonna be my band studio slash ham radio shack guys when you see me making videos the tower will be erected up this way i'm gonna do underground uh you know conduit uh with wires in it okay it's gonna come in here under the floor but check it out brand new shed right and it's just some stuff here we're just piling stuff in here until i figure out where it's gonna go it's hard moving but check it out i'm going to have you know so i already got an ac but without this insulated it's very hot in here okay so i'm going to insulate all the walls the ceilings put recessed led lighting in here so so this whole side over here is going to be ham radio those shelves are going to come out uh maybe a few months before i get the money for that i don't have the money for it after this so you know patience but um i just stuck the ac in there for a moment because i was doing some stuff in here they kept it cool but not during the day i sit down at night with that ac there 12 000 btu but during the day it's way too hot in here it's like 105 in here right now so i'll have my desk over here this is where you're gonna see me making videos somewhere over here the ac i'll cut a hole in the side and put a dryer vent there and exhaust the hot air out but then this side over here is gonna be where my my other you know my band room will be like my band studio type thing so when you walk in i might either put a wall here uh and have this side for ham radio that side for my drums and stuff um or you know my my guitar amp basin all kinds of stuff whatever um yes you see my satellite tracker over there i haven't had time to use it guys but so i'm going to soundproof it and insulate it so this you know will be for music stuff whatever this side over here is going to be ham i'll have all the stuff coming in through the floor underneath my desk and i'll be on the air once again guys it's going to take a long time but look let me show you something here's
