Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Since this thread is mostly a flarewar I would just like to say to that I hope it is true. If it is true then other car manufacturers will work to beat that number. Everyone making exotics wants to be king of the hill on stats and this is a big one that people love to get attached to.
Imagine if this caused all other performance cars to end up with significant increases in 0-60 times as a result. We all win.
He said βI know theres some skepticism but those numbers are trueβ This video has been posted already btw
My car does 0-60 om 4.5 seconds and I feel like it def. pins you back to your seat a bit as a driver. I can imageine how my passengers feel.
Now imagine a car that does 1.9 seconds........I can't imagine how that would feel.
Next they'll be telling us the 2019 release date is a CONSERVATIVE estimate
I'm not really a fan of Tesla's styling but even I like the looks of the roadster.
I expect nothing less than absolutely scintillating speed but an electric sports car is missing a few things required to make it have an emotional impact on me. That's something that I guess I will get over in time but for now, it just doesn't really do it for me.
iβm skeptical but not completely ruling it out
He explicitly states in the video they are real numbers from testing; not estimates, so your title isnβt misleading.
Jaguar said they could make an i-pace do 1.7-1.8s 0-60, but not sure they should because of the danger and itβs kind of just a party trick.
Hasn't this been posted a few dozen times already?
