So there's a lot of differences here from today to this past Friday. Now, the goal originally was to have this open by this morning, that Monday morning commute, deadline was what they were aiming for. But once I was already open on Friday night, the other side on Saturday morning, so they were able to get things done really, really fast. Now, what was fun over the weekend was watching the live camera, they had set up showing that demolition and clean up and it looked like they just had enough crews and so many crews in that area for the whole time to get it done even quicker. Now, obviously, that doesn't really help the bridge itself. That bridge at last check is not expected to be done for about another year or so. It's going to take a while to actually rebuild that. But we do hope to hear an update and expect an update here in about an hour from governor. He's going to be here in no walk. We going to a conference. I have more on that here in a minute. But this all started when police tell us that 22 year old 22 year old driver cut off a tanker that was carrying 8000 gallons of gas on Thursday morning that take a crashed and caught fire and then just absolutely demolished. That Fairfield Avenue overpass that bridge was so damaged, that state leaders say it needed to come down before anybody could get hurt. That demolition began Friday morning and then the clean up continued in Saturday, keeping the heavily traveled in state closed and those slow moving to in place re reopened in 95 north at 80 Saturday and 95 south by 10 0 Saturday. Yesterday morning, the traffic along 95 in both directions was backed up for miles and many of the Southwester Connecticut roads and highways had significantly increased volume during those closures. The Fairfield Avenue overpass is not expected to be done for another year but the are multiple other bridges over the highway nearby. We expect to hear that update from Lemon at nine o'clock this morning. He's going to be here where I am now here at this fire station that we've kind of been using as our home base for the last few days. We will get an update from him. We will be carrying that update live. You can watch it online and on F 61 and then we have more on that throughout the day live or walk for 561 Connecticut New Station.
