FLOODING. IT'S NOT WINTRY WEATHER, THOUGH. IT'S WET. IT'S WINTRY WEATHER. EXCUSE ME, NOT THE WET WEATHER THAT CONTINUES TO DOG THE NORTHERN AND CENTRAL PLAINS. THE DEADLY DAYS LONG BLIZZARD AND IT'S BEGINNING TO WIND DOWN. IT WAS COLD ENOUGH TO SUPPORT SOME SNOW AND SOME BIG TIME TOTALS TO NOT TOTALLY OUT OF THE WOODS YET, BUT PARTS OF NEBRASKA SOCKED WITH A FOOT OF SNOW, WINDS BLOWING IT AROUND, LEADING TO BIG SNOW DRIFTS, ROADS THAT ARE EITHER TREACHEROUS OR EVEN IMPASSABLE. THE TOWN OF CHARDON WERE LOOKING THEIR BURIED UNDER 11IN OF SNOW. IN FACT, I THINK THEY PICKED UP A COUPLE OF MORE INCHES TO NOW WITH THAT OFFICIAL TOTAL. THIS MUCH NEEDED GOOD NEWS THOUGH IT IS COMING. I-80 OPEN AGAIN FROM BORDER TO BORDER IN NEBRASKA. SO THAT'S GOOD. BUT THESE TOTALS HAVE BEEN IMPRESSIVE. TACK ON TWO INCHES TO CHARDON. THEIR 13IN IS THE TOTAL IN GRANT. THESE ARE ALL OUT OF NEBRASKA. KEEP THAT IN MIND. SOME OF THE BIGGEST TOTALS CAME FROM SOUTH DAKOTA WHERE WE WERE A LITTLE CLOSER TO 15IN IN ONE OF THE TOP SPOTS, BUT STILL IMPRESSIVE. OMAHA WAS RIGHT ON THE ON THE BORDER OF SEEING SOME BIG TIME SNOWS. THEY GOT SOME IN EASTERN NEBRASKA JUST BUT NOT A LOT. BUT THAT SNOW DID NOT STAY IN THE SAME LOCATION FOR LONG BECAUSE THE WINDS WERE WHIPPING IT. AND WINDS ARE STILL A PROBLEM. KIANA. WHEN WE'RE LOOKING AT AT THE ROADS, I MEAN, THE OPEN ING OF I-80, GOOD NEWS. BUT WE STILL HAVE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL IN NEBRASKA. YES, BUT CERTAINLY IN SOUTH DAKOTA, THERE'S STILL SOME ZONES HERE. I THINK ONCE THIS LOW EXITS, WE'LL HAVE THE WINDS DIE DOWN. THAT'S WHEN WE WILL HOPEFULLY SEE THE IMPROVEMENT. I THINK THAT'S GOING TO BE THE CASE AND HOPEFULLY WE CAN GET SOME OF THOSE PLOWS OUT THERE FOR SOME OF THOSE AREAS THAT ARE SNOW COVERED. AS OF NOW, WE DO STILL HAVE A COUPLE OF ADVISORIES THAT ARE STILL IN PLACE. STEPHEN AND WE WATCH THIS THROUGH AT LEAST THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING. NEBRASKA KANSAS, TWO AREAS THAT ARE STILL GETTING IN ON SOME FLYING FLURRIES AT THIS POINT IN TIME. THE LOW NOW IS POSITIONED A LITTLE FARTHER TO THE EAST, MOVING OVER PARTS OF KANSAS CITY AND SAINT LOUIS, SAINT LOUIS, ALL RAIN KANSAS CITY ACTUALLY GETTING IN ON SNOW IN THE BACKHAND SIDE OF IT IS STARTING TO CLEAR VERY NICELY, BUT WE LOOK AT WHY WE'RE SEEING THIS CONTRAST IN THE PRECIP REALLY OVER SAINT LOUIS. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TEMPERATURES 40 DEGREES RIGHT NOW. TAKING US THROUGH THE LATTER HALF OF THE MORNING AND INTO THE AFTERNOON. KANSAS CITY, JUST A LITTLE FARTHER TO THE WEST, IS ACTUALLY SEEING TEMPERATURES AT AROUND THE FREEZING MARK. SO WE'RE SEEING A LOT OF THAT SWITCH OVER TO SNOW, ESPECIALLY ALOFT. NOT TOO SURE IF THIS IS ACTUALLY PILING UP ON THE GROUND. I DOUBT IT IS, BUT AT THIS POINT IN TIME, THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE GETTING AND THAT'S WHAT WE'LL LIKELY SEE THROUGH THE LATTER HALF OF TODAY. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT SAINT LOUIS WON'T GET A CHANCE OF SEEING SOME FLYING FLURRIES BY TONIGHT. AGAIN, OUR LOW STARTS TO CONTINUE TO REALLY TRACK EAST. WE MAY EVEN SEE ANOTHER CHANCE OF SOME FLURRIES FLY FAR SOUTH ENOUGH OVER SAINT LOUIS, AND IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TIMING. IF IT HAPPENS THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS INTO FRIDAY AND TEMPERATURES ARE COLD ENOUGH, WE COULD SEE THAT SWITCH OVER TO SNOW AS WELL. AND WHEN WE WHEN WE LOOK AT THAT, THIS WOULD BE PERHAPS THE FIRST MEASURABLE SNOW THAT WE'VE SEEN IN SAINT LOUIS IN 330 DAYS. THIS IS THE LONGEST SNOWLESS STREAK IN SAINT LOUIS. DON'T COMPARE THIS TO NEW YORK CITY, BECAUSE THAT'S ONE INCH OF SNOW. THIS IS JUST MEASURABLE SNOW. YEAH, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT A 10TH OF AN INCH. CAN'T EVEN GET THAT. SO WHAT A WHAT A STREAK TO BE ON. BUT SOMETHING THAT WILL WILL BE WATCHING BELOW ME AND ABOVE ON THE RIBBON. WE'RE CONTINUING TO WATCH WHAT'S GOING ON IN SAINT LOUIS AS THOSE TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO BE DROPPING. THAT RAIN AS, AS, UH
