Huge Bluefin Tuna Foamers Everywhere!! WE GOT EM!!

so i said i would be in charge of getting the ice today from that what you will look at this bad baby post receipts to prove her 50 million only fans earnings me [Music] is [Music] so [Music] just arriving to l.a at 5 00 p.m traffic's not too bad we're only going eight miles an hour but gonna offload this ice have some dinner and get ready to fish tomorrow [Music] man that food was good now i'm making my way to this place in irvine to this guy's house that i met one time one of the nicest guys i've ever met i'm going on his boat tomorrow i'm gonna sleep there offload the ice and get ready to fish before i go to sleep just wanted to share this with you ah love cats man i'm going on a 23 foot parker today with a tuna tower there are a lot of dorado being caught here which is kind of unheard of so close to la but we're going tuna or bust [Applause] [Music] we got about 40 miles to run right now to the tuna grounds hopefully we can get get something when we get out there when we do get out there i'll show you exactly what we're using and after we catch one we'll sashimi it up and after blooping tuna toro [Music] so one thing we're looking for as we go out to the tuna grounds is the water temperature we want there to be a break in the temperature so where we're headed there's a sharp break from 69 degrees to 71 degrees and a lot of times apparently that's where a lot of the bait hang out which means that's where all the predator fish are going to be too it looks like tuna mark so we got two mad max you can set yours we're gonna be trolling two rods today and two mad max this purple with polka dot and then also a sardine color mad mac these are the 200 gram ones really popular this year it's in the bag like 100 yards 150. like 150 they got to be pretty far from the boat because you don't want like all the bubbles from the boat any interruption just tuning pretty line shy a little bit but i mean you see that giant thing wobbling through the water the way it does right now you'll see once you lock it it's gonna vibrate like the tip of the rod it's just gonna be shaking really fast so we got our marker so you got yours that's your rock you're real right you got to mark that like hundred hundred dollars at 150 uh we'll set that and then the other one so you see this red mark here on the braid that's a marker of 200 yards just so you know exactly how much line is out tips vibrating a little bit yeah that's how you know it's like shaking in the water properly so edwin was saying if one of them hooks up then we're gonna wait you know 30 seconds and hopefully get a double so if it bites just keep it in the rod holder yeah once you slow it down just want to keep it tight drags are all good cool oh tuna right here oh my god everywhere about to go off in the parker having a tuna tower like this helped so much when you're looking you can see an extra half mile at least nothing to stick yet but i can see you super far now checking him out with his the bow just because a lot of times the tuna they'll run into the motor or something so at the bow you got everything clear if he runs over there most likely he's not going to go straight up into the me he ran at me for a second well that big one that i hooked last year it swam at me and i thought it was off so i put it in freespool to drop the jig back down it was on the whole time oh he's so wanted some torture i forgot what i was signing up for it's been a whole year so maybe like three or four years ago alec bought a t-shirt or a hoodie or something from me and then he accidentally ordered two and he messaged me i think that was the first time that we started talking he's just been a subscriber for a long time and then uh maybe about a month ago i came down here to fish for tuna with andrew and daniel made that video didn't go as planned but alec helped me out a ton edwin helped me out a ton too and uh now i'm about to have a baby next week so we said if there's one week that i'm free to make the trip down here we'll do it and we're doing it and here we are in southern california catching bluefin tuna yup oh there's i got color it's nice down here yeah we got colors baby oh man that's a nice one i'm gonna step back once we get it up okay all right choke up on it a little bit all right one two three oh man that's a big tuna boys he's done this one is done oh yeah yeah hundred hundred it's fat it's gotta be a hundred pounds so uh yeah alec and edwin of course like most people should clean it as quick as you can get it on ice and alex caught many bluefin so he's gonna show us how he does it so the way i like to clean these guys is the gills right here i'd like to cut around there's like this weird membrane i got a serrated knife cut around the gills this way and then we're gonna just saw these gills out this side should be just about free i always gill and gut my fish especially tuna that way i can pack the insides with ice you just get fresher meat there's half the gills there we go he's got some weird stuff like parasites on his gills now we're gonna go from his butt instead of cutting around it go up a little bit about halfway yeah oh yeah this one's warm to this oh they're all sure they all are fighting for them then we're just gonna clean out the insides comes right out just like that everything comes out oh my god look how full his stomach is i'm gonna do this over the side if you want to check it out we were kind of having a problem getting them to bite when they're just foaming on top and i think it's because they're eating the tiniest bait and all our stuff that we're throwing at him is big so let's see what's in here oh man just cut it straight down oh that's gross yeah cut it straight down small small bit look at how much though he's been munching now i think i got a i got to think of a rig to make them bite something small like that and try to pack its insides with ice keep them as fresh as possible on this side yeah i can see why for 400 pounds of ice we got 400 pounds of ice and it was a good thing that we did too you wanna grab the tail i'll grab the head yeah i'll try to pull this way maybe you can there we go that wasn't too bad [Music] so every time we uh every time we catch the fish like this we try to clean up as quick as possible because with that blood soaking in the sun it dries real fast it's hard to clean so i want to try to keep it clean right after you know yeah where did that whole thing start from anyways someone told me that or i saw some comment it was like they used to import bananas and then the rats would be in the banana crates and they would chew it through the boat man what a beast [Music] it is time to test toro we're so tired it's already ten o'clock we've been up since four and chances thank you thank you bro flavor is great texture is good there's a lit it's a little more fibrous than i was expecting i usually like just the top point part of it level less body parts but i think everybody is more people definitely sharing this with a lot more friends bringing home sarah you did a great job today yeah yeah sure man all right
